>They were originally warehouses that were later converted into private residences in the 17th century. Due to the lack of space, they built the kitchens "hanging" over the Damsterdiep canal - a practical solution which also allowed the housewives back then, to collect the water for cooking directly from the canal and after the washing up, to throw the water out the kitchen window back into the canal.
Pretty easy actually.
There's actually a script you can run in Photoshop to do this for you.
This is the Faroe Islands, actually.
Someone please take away this man's HDR filter. (another example) It looks like a nuclear bomb just went off.

I'm slowly getting into astrophotography, So I need to head back again.
I must say, I haven't really struck a great problem with tourists there, but it is usually late in the day when I arrive. These days I make of staying the night rather than driving on to Queenstown.

Reminds me of another German town with a split street like this - Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Also the town where much of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was filmed (my German friend who hadn't heard of it, confused, asked "Shitty shitty bang bang?").

Well I don't know where you found this "infox" but Grignan is surrounded by lavender fields, and is a few km from mountains.
Just look at the map https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=15/44.4220/4.9126

It is called Mu Long Hu. Here is the location.
Even though Crawley is a populated suburb of Perth, the historical boat shed has a much greater village feel.
I love the pronounced horizon line, and all the textures in the image.
