OP, this relationship is not healthy for you. Please read Why Does He Do That? By Lundy Bancroft. It's am amazing book that will bring you a lot of healing and clarity.
here's a PDF .
My hair is kinda meh. It's not super fine but it's poker straight. I've always liked curly hair so I always had perms. While perms are easy they're expensive and the end result does not look natural imo. Then I discovered foam rollers like these
Hair Rollers Night Sleep Foam... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077XNYLLB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
These babies have been a total game changer for me. You wrap your hair up and they're comfortable enough to sleep in. The end result is completely natural looking curls that last all day. On day two it's not as curly but it still looks great.
I'm mentioning these because anyone who wants to add volume to their hair should try them. They will make your hair super curly if you use a lot. But if you wrap large pieces of hair and only use a few you should end up with gorgeous waves and amazing volume.
I love using cat eyeliner stamps. It makes a winged liner look super easy!

I hope you find this helpful!
Buy cheap resistant bands off amazon, they're good for working on shaping the legs and butt area!
wear bronzing moisturizer everyday after getting out of the shower
clean up eyebrows/upper lip/forehead with spring tweezer
using a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. i started using enjoy luxury, and WOW! its the only hair products I've ever used that give me salon quality at home
olivia garden styler brush is only $14 on amazon and it helps disperse the oil in my hair so I don't have to wash as often
language lip mask every night
body moisturizer with spf in it
😭 Omg i’ve been waiting to share this push bra with someone. This one off Amazon is very good I have two of them. You can look at the pics and see the difference. 🙃 I really like them because my breast aren’t symmetrical so it helps with that too.
Of course, here you go, and here’s a tutorial on how to do it. She uses a different kit that I tried as well (it’s double the price!) but it really isn’t worth it imo, the former is cheaper and just as good :)
About your waves, if you’re comfortable sharing a picture of just your hair, I’d love to give you some advice. Sometimes it’s all about finding the right technique and products!
Revive science. I used it every night until I ran out of the first bottle, ~2 months, and now I use it 3-4 nights a week as maintenance. My lower lashes are nearly the length and thickness that my upper lashes started at and it doesn’t burn when I inevitably get some in my eyes lol, it filled in the the slightly sparse parts of my brows so they look fully even too. I have to go light on mascara now bc they get freakishly long lmao
This is my favorite, I have super sensitive skin and this feels great and doesn't break me out or leave any cast. I apply pretty generously, I live in SoCal and I'm naturally very pale. The sun here is brutal. I've lived in Florida and SoCal's sun is way more intense.

Tips and tricks for 3 type hair:
Obligatory statement about hair growth not being about what comes out of your scalp, but how much length you retain from taking great care of your ends :D
also super important: scalp detox and clarifying once a month to remove product build up.
Type 3 hair requires a lot of work but my hair went from shoulder length to past armpit length/mid back in 6 months
I got this one but not a specific brand. I was looking for something that had 660 nm to make sure it would be effective.
You should! Resistance bands are great because you can target specific body parts. I like to keep my legs slim and flutes full + lifted. Most glute exercises like squats and lunges add mass to your quads.
These are the bands I use. You can find tons of videos on YouTube!

I can’t say that collagen has helped with my skin but it’s made a big difference in my hair and nails.
This one is my favorite, it’s delicious! I mix it in with cold brew coffee, oat milk, and some ice in the blender. Also, there is no sugar.

Generally, I use fake tan in the summer so I don't need bronzer then I use a lipstain on my cheeks instead of blush so I can slather on sunscreen no problem but around my eyes, I just dust some of this on so I don't ruin my eyeliner and concealer and it's really convenient. Try to wear some stylish sunglasses whenever you can too if you are hanging out in the sun!

You're welcome!
I use a pink sheer lipstick and pat a pink eyeshadow lightly around the edges of my lips. It makes the skin around your lips look like it is a bit flushed and creates the illusion of bigger lips. I only put shimmery highlighter on the cupid's brow
I use one like this, there's way cheaper options I'm just showing you what it looks like:

I have a pair of shoes in which I am dealing with annoying heel slippage. I bought some padded inserts that I stuck to the inside of the heel, and it did reduce the slippage so that it is no longer visible to other people, but I can still feel it happening. I tried layering more pads, but my heel still slips and now the toes feel tight.

I got this for $15. I put 3-4 drops for 24 oz of water, sometimes more. I haven’t noticed a grassy taste at all, but the minty taste is pretty strong!
I struggled with insomnia for 8 years. I finally went on Lunesta, and set myself with a wind down routine: dinner and a TV show between 8-10pm, then I take Lunesta, put in ear plugs and an eye mask (Sleep Mask, Ezona 3D Deep... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09KKTR6ZX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share - this is the best one, I’ve searched long and hard for it).
It works now. It takes some committing to the wind down routine but it’s been very effective. I tried to avoid sleep pills for a long time but, ultimately a pil yo help with sleep is the lesser of the two evils. Lunesta has a short half life so I don’t wake up feeling drowsy. And it didn’t wear off in effectiveness like ambien did.
I wish you the best and hope this help.

Tip 6: I keep a couple dental floss picks in my bag almost always. Nothing worse than having a piece of pepper or food stuck in your teeth. I excuse myself to the bathroom and boom, perfect smile. I make sure to keep an extra because I’ve been asked more than once if I have a spare!
Tip 9: At home, I’ve started using Facial Smoothies (not the drink!) for in between my eyes and at the corners. I love to read or play video games and often furrow my brows or make all sorts of expressions. This helps prevent wrinkles and also trains you to be aware of your expressions.
These are the ones I use. I wear them when I sleep too!

I found that over exfoliating my feet is what kept them dry and calloused. I stopped exfoliating my feet except for once a week and started applying foot cream to them multiple times every day.
There is only one foot cream that works for me, and there is no in between. This product softens my feet to princess levels, while all others do absolutely nothing. The particular product I am talking about is Gold Bond Ultimate Softening Foot Cream.
I use this on my feet every single night before bed, sometimes I put on socks over my lotioned feet but usually not.
When I get out of the shower, I instantly put on the foot cream and put on socks.
Usually in the morning I put a tiny bit of the foot cream on before putting on socks for the day too.
My chronically disgustingly dry feet which were literally chronically peeling and dry from childhood to my early 20s have been healed and softened for years now because of this foot cream.
Thanks for sharing your secrets!
Please link your UV umbrella. I’ll be extra with you.
What brand and strength of MSM do you take?
Do you use a heat protectant when blow drying on lower settings?
I want to try MSM and minoxidil and rosemary or peppermint oil but I’m worried about starting since I read lots of anecdotal stories of people getting way more + darker + longer + faster growing facial hair. I already spend too long plucking my face hairs and I’m not even very hairy… just a person with some trichotillomania and a magnifying mirror. Although… might need to reconsider if it can regrow the sparse areas in my eyebrows.
Adding onto your tip about scalp health!! Don’t keep your hair wet too long after shower, better to blow dry after since wet + warm scalp is prime environment for fungal (mainly malassezia) + bacterial growth. Since zinc pyrithione shampoos are a little drying (my skin / scalp / hair is already on the drier side), I love the Head & Shoulders zinc pyrithione scalp serum ($11), not drying at all. I use it straight out of the shower on wet hair or anytime my scalp feels a bit itchy or feels flaky, can be used on wet or dry hair. I use it at least 2 or 3 times a week. I also use a prescription zinc pyrithione shampoo or Head & Shoulders Supreme shampoo with a thicker conditioner or 10 min hair mask.

Aw, I just bought this. The good reviews might be at home IPL. Clinic laser might just hurt more, but it's probably more effective.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019D7MQMK/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_AKYRQ70FEK50FJWGHD7X
I moved onto other areas and it were painful even on "gentle" setting. I just discovered that you can apply numbing creme and it won't hurt as bad. Lots of good reviews about pairing this with IPL: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019D7MQMK/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_YMTSG6A9V65SF7QAXGHR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I love technology! ❤️
Here's the one I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WYY6KKC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details#customerReviews
Used it today for the first time and really loved it. It has 2 sizes of laser heads and can rapidly re-fire. I completed my legs and lower arms in less than 10 min. It's only once a week vs 3 times a week for cheaper devices.
I had previously purchased a $70 device from Amazon and returned it after 1 session. The Braun is sooo much better, although it's too soon to know about hair removal results.
The weird part? I could smell my hair burning! That's promising to me! Haha.
I want to be smooth like a dolphin. lol
Besides tret and a good cream cleanser, this hand sunscreen is my other top three beauty product. It smells a little like sunscreen, but not enough to both me and it’s so moisturizing. If I was on a date, I’d choose a different hand lotion but for day-to-day purposes, I recommend Retinol by Robanda Anti-Aging Hand Treatment │ Broad Spectrum SPF 15 + Retinol Cream to Repair Dry Skin https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0813YL3HQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_X20145TE0Q7F7767WYHN my hands feel soft. It’s a little oily until it soaks in but the benefits have made it so worth it.
If you are looking for sunscreen to reapply over makeup, I have used supergoop and pur. It’s not perfect coverage when applying over makeup but I get shiny at work when stressed our when I’m outside. So it’s better than nothing and serves multiple purposes. Also, Supergoop has a resetting spray with SPF that I think I’ll be purchasing soon to try out. I’m so impressed with their approach to skincare and makeup with spf - I ordered their spf eyeshadow recently in a beautiful tawny color I love to wear!!! But I haven’t used it yet. Using it Saturday and Sunday though for some parties!
Now i use the one from benefit which is really good, but when i first got into it i got these off amazon from etude just to try it and they work well too and are alot less expensive, benefit is a bit more longer lasting/stronger stain, but you can build up the stain of the etude ones too https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099RTBWKR/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_4BD1ZNWN16CR76K8KPTN?psc=1
I’m almost never in the sun. But I do use retinol.
So I use a sunscreen that doubles as anti-aging and a sunblock. That way I never forget on those days I’ve used retinol.

I can attest that the claims are true. It smells like sweet pineapple or something, so it might not be for everyone.
I use a stainless steel gua sha tool twice daily at the end of my skincare routines and have noticed a difference. It doesn’t remove fat or anything drastic, but it helps a lot with removing puffiness by lymphatic drainage. If used correctly with the proper method, it’s really beneficial.
I will say of the tools I’ve used, the flat square one with a single divot (like in the Lanshin video) was not my favorite. Didn’t really feel like I was getting the contours of my face. I bought a stainless steel curved tool back in January and since using that one I feel like my results are better.
Sunscreen, eating healthy, and daily movement are the holy trinity for longevity. In the mornings I use body cream with SPF and at night I use a retinol body cream. These two are both recs I got from this sub. Retinol cream has really helped with ingrowns/strawberry legs and the sunscreen protects your body from sun damage which is usually more neglected than our faces/necks/hands. Walking 30 minutes daily minimum gets the steps in and the blood flowing. Sitting for extended periods of time is not good for the joints. Eating lots of vitamin rich foods and switching back from vegan to eating meat has helped too. I used to look and feel so sickly when I wasn’t eating red meat. Go organic whenever possible!
Here’s an option from our Amazon overlords:

They have a variety pack with 48 rollers as well. Once you roll, wrap your head in a scarf (the old forties or fifties way) so they don’t tug on your pillow and that’s that. Takes a little learning curve but if I can do it I think anyone can 😂
I use this one: The Original Stainless Steel Gua Sha Tool with Travel Pouch for Facial Tension, Lymphatic Drainage and Depuffing - By SACHEU https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KFTYN9C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_28HA41QA104NV4BAJ7EZ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I used this brand’s kit when I first started (I make mine nowadays.) The first time is tricky, in that it hurts more and it’s hard to wax where you can’t see. If you have a significant other or someone to assist, it’s helpful. Or a hands-free mirror.
Note that this is for using strips. You can get the hard version of the wax, but it’s more expensive. I used this kit tho when I started college, it’s cheap and more straightforward IMO, still would use again. Btw it hurts a lot less after the first time, as the hair grows back thinner
here is the one I use!
a tiny hair crimper works really well at creating volume that lasts a long time
also consider whether you’re overfocusing on something that’s not objectively bad - in hollywood big faces/heads are seen as more expressive and attractive. i’ve only thought a big face looked off if the person has fine/thin hair and a high hairline so they look kinda bald from the front. so lots of hair volume, maybe bangs, etc

Dyson Airwrap is the best $$$ investment I ever made. I had no learning curve, opposite of damage because my hair is healthier than when I air-dried it. Perfect hair in half an hour every morning, straight out of the shower.
If you’re not as concerned about heat damage, there’s the Kiss Instawave, this is pretty neat because it turns and turns at the base so your hair wraps around the curler in seconds.
This one is my new holy grail. I used to only wear mascara for special occasions because it either always smudged or was so difficult to remove that it because not worth it to use mascara at all.
I use this Cabaret mascara every day and it holds my curl and doesn't smudge while being very easy to remove.

Check out “The Photographer’s Guide to Posing.” Should be recommended reading for anyone who feels self conscious in pictures!
It’s written by a woman and shows poses for all body types. Hundreds of photos with explanations of why certain things work and others don’t. It’s a really great book, and I think the fact it’s written for photographers makes it even more useful because she explains how to coach the models.

I don't wear heels every day but I wear them often enough. My personal faves are these because of how comfortable they are! They were my first pair and believe it or not I've never had a painful experience with them (some soreness but not real pain).
They may not be super chic but they make a great starter pair if you're just getting into heels territory. I recommend the nude patent since the heel for that one is a bit shorter compared to some of the other colors.
I use a buff most of the time, and I love it. I only pull out an actual silk bonnet on the nights my hair is damp.
I got mine off of Amazon, there might be better ones for bigger girls but for petite girls this is THE BEST one I have found because of the size range:
Waist Trainer for Women Corset Cincher Body Shaper Girdle Trimmer with Steel Bones Extender https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083FQ6VBH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_H8V27X517B7VFG6Q9QRZ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It goes down to 3X small so if you’re really really skinny and still have a straight waist you can still train it. I hope this helps!
DO NOT use regular hair dye! The ingredients are not safe for around the eye.
Heated eye masks are a GAME CHANGER. Apparently having warm eyeballs is a whole thing. I put one of these on, plus a rain soundscape playing in headphones and a memory foam neck pillow - the deepest physical relaxation I’ve felt without Valium and/or a deep tissue massage.
Yes! It sits around your hips and laces up the front, and you crank it tighter and tighter as you go along. It sounds painful but it actual feels amazing, because all your joints and ligaments are so loose and sore, and the extra support helps so much. I had a super structured one for nighttime that my husband would help me lace as tight as possible, then a stretchier one for daytime, mainly for support.
I got mine in an Asian country, and the issue here in the US is that so many of them are either for your abs, or if they’re for your hips they’re designed with Velcro and stretchy fabric strictly for comfort. If you want to crank your hips back into (or narrower than) their original position, you’ll want something like this.
I think photofeeler is a better site to have your looks rated (since there's no way to interact with eachother's profiles it seems less bias) https://www.photofeeler.com/
As for style and aesthetic, it's probably worth looking into people with similar body-types and see outfits you like on them and try out similar things for yourself.
I love the acne patches I use these patches

Not a permanent solution, but I used to get lash lifts before someone told me about Blinc lash primer . I use black under mascara after curling with a lash curler and they stay in the curled position all day. And a little goes a long way, you don’t build it up like you do mascara, just one swipe before mascara, so one tube has lasted me over six months now, and I wear it almost every day.
The exact models look like they’re out of stock on Amazon, but this is what I run in the bedrooms (one per bedroom) and this is the larger one that I run for the downstairs living area. Both models are Honeywell, and I’ve had them for six years now- worth the investment. :) I only use distilled water in them, which seems to help make the filters last longer.
I use this Korean sunscreen that you can get on Amazon. It's AMAZING and doesn't pill at all:

Thanks! How long have you been using it and have you noticed that you're able to sit straighter without it, if you've been using it for a while? I'm always sceptical of these gadgets and feel like I'll find a way to flump over no matter what!
first, i was using those boxed kits on amazon that everyone uses, but i realized that they’re basically trash after one time use because once the perming solution gets exposed to air it loses almost all of its potency. i did some sleuthing and discovered that at salons they use little packets of the perming and neutralizing solution to avoid this situation. i’ve never seen anyone talk about these so i was really intrigued.
i purchased a pack of these and they work super well, better than the results i’ve gotten at professional salons. it takes about 45 min to an hour to do and its really not hard at all.
with that being said, i was really uncomfortable with the fact that i was using a perming solution from china since theyre not exactly known for having the most stringent regulation protocols, so i’ve been looking for an alternative. i just discovered a company that makes their perming solution in the UK and i’m definitely going to switch over to that one just to be safe.
all of these companies advertise their products as a 3 step system (perming, neutralizing, moisturizing) but really only the first two matter. i just apply castor oil as the final step and i’m good to go. i’ve had zero bad side effects from doing this myself, my lashes aren’t thinning or anything like that at all. sometimes it stings my eyes when i’m applying it but nothing crazy. i’m really excited to try out this safer brand, i can’t vouch for it yet but i definitely have high hopes!
I’ve heard good things about Sweat Block wipes but I haven’t tried it. Has anyone here tried this?
This band (the rose gold rhinestone) is my fave recent Amazon find. I get complimented on it every time I wear it without fail. It looks much shinier and pretty in person than the pic! Definitely looks high quality too despite the cheap cost
The silk one is more adjustable and so it won't slip off at all. The satin one actually slips forward, over my eyes. So I find I sleep better.
I have the Silvon pillowcase and a Lilysilk bonnet from Amazon. Literally any silk pillowcase should work, I don’t care for the benefits of “anti-acne” pillowcases but I was given this one.
Can't watch atm, but I saved the video to watch later. I might be wrong but it looks like she just volumized her hair in the after photo?? This has been my go to trick for shortening my face for years.
If anyone is interested, I use this crimper on my roots when I didn't feel like blow drying. And this volumizer with a round brush when I do now dry. The Biolage stuff is like magic, a little goes such a long way. It makes a HUGE difference in the appearance in length of my midface!
Highly recommend Apagard Premio toothpaste. I’ve used it and it definitely made my teeth less see through and lessened sensitivity. I also am susceptible to cavities due to Hashimotos autoimmune disease and this is great insurance to keep cavities at bay.

I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Oral-B-1000-Rechargeable-Electric-Toothbrush/dp/B003UKM9CO which is reasonably priced, but for now I've just been using my Arm and Hammer spin brushes for convenience.
How to make anyone fall in love with you by Leil Lowndes. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0809229897/
I’m not sure if she’s since published an updated version of the same material, but it may be better to find this one as it favors being truthful over being politically correct. So useful and actually a pretty fun read.
Okay so I have two recommendations. I haven't tried any of them personally, as I'm still hanging out on r/wavyhair, trying to bring definition to my 2a waves lmao. Not a lot of success so far, but if (or when) I give up, this is what I would do to tame the frozz:
1) Keratin treatments. These can be done both at salon or at home. Was another user on here that recommended this
2) The ColorWOW Dream Coat spray
I love this treatment more than olaplex and it’s super cheap. Also, a blow dry brush would smooth out your hair and add volume

I bought this one because it was such a low price point that if it turned out to be useless, it wouldn’t be as painful to my wallet. Previous to this, I used buffing cream, a 4-way buffing block and a chamois buffer to achieve half of the same results.
Do you know anyone already in these careers? You need to talk to other lash/nail entrepreneurs in your area and ask how they got started, what their biggest challenges were, and what recommendations they have for you (btw I got this tip from the book Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office. Would highly recommend for any woman who works, regardless of whether or not it's in an office setting).
People in your geographical area will know what your local customers want/expect, which neighborhoods are supersaturated vs which have room for more techs, etc.

Yellow Box sandals are extremely comfy and some have a very slight heel rise (0.5-1") to make them look classier than a basic flip flop. My favorite are basically any of their thin strapped rhinestone ones. I always get tons of compliments wearing them! I've never inserted a link so I hope it works:
I've been using Mavala Double Lash https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mavala-Double-Lash-Strengthens-Eyebrows/dp/B006ZUEMSA and it's amazing!

Works so well - I haven't noticed any ill effects but if someone who knows more about the science than me spots any dangerous ingredients, please let me know!
Noooo, I have no patience for that lol. (I’m sure you could find some to DIY with on Etsy though)
I use this brand, unscented version: https://www.amazon.com/Alaffia-Whipped-Butter-Coconut-Mandarin/dp/B07NSTCLZ2?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1
(It’s also carried by Whole Foods and a very ethical brand)
The key with body lotion is to lock in hydration — so what I do I put a big pump of hyaluronic acid (you can find it in a large size rather than a face serum) on my body while my skin is still wet from the shower, then seal it in with this occlusive body butter. A little bit goes a long way.
I'm NOT talking about the regular type of eyelash curler, to be clear!!! I'm talking about a straight or slightly curved wand that you simply press against the bottom of your lashes, like this or this. Much safer and doesn't leave bends in the lashes, remove mascara, or break off or harm your lashes.
I use this one from Amazon.
BIG difference between this type of wand and simply heating up a regular eyelash curler and crimping your lashes after mascara, which has given me pretty bad results. The wand is much gentler and easier to use to shape the lashes into a natural and pretty curl!
A real one will never dull. Fakes have a film on the glass with regular filing grit and won’t work the way a glass one does.
The best one I bought was at a small drugstore and they never got more in.
I got one thin one on Amazon that I can’t stand. Then I ordered a set that is pretty good.
This isn’t the set I got but it’s the next one I plan to get. I like to have a few so that I can carry them with me.

glad you posted this. I’ll be following. 🙏🏻 was considering using the ordinary serum as well and have been hearing good things about peppermint.
If you have fine hair like me, this might work for you! I’ve been using this biotin shampoo. It’s working REALLY well with me for the cost (like $8). I’m planning on trying something a little bit more expensive when this runs out, but, using this with a little dry shampoo in between washes has been making suuuch a difference.

If you do end up getting it, PM me if you want more detailed breakdown of the products I use with. Also, be careful not to use it at too high of a voltage too close to your eyes! It can worsen eyelid twitching if you are prone to that.
not sure about selling DIY atm :)
> She looks so much older but it just seems strange...considering everything she does to fight aging.
yeah, something weird happened to her. I strongly believe it's fat loss. we shouldn't try everything and hope for the best, but be very selective about what we need.
then, before making changes to our routines, we only try 1 change at the time, Asian Beauty style. if she had done that she wouldhave quickly noticed what is giving the bad results :(
for the creams, amazon has many of them - try the NOW brand: https://www.amazon.com/NOW-Solutions-Progesterone-Liposomal-Lavender/dp/B0019LTGTA/
This is hair focussed - but amazing, and I want everyone to know about it :)

Cheap and cheerful - but it's a great way to get conditioner through your hair, so it's fully effective (and you don't waste any expensive conditioner!), and also stimulates your scalp, keeping it healthy. I cannot recommend it enough!

Oh I didn’t decide based on amount. I chose this brand because it seemed to have the highest quality according to the description and iirc had higher amounts in general than other methylated b complexes. I’m no nutrition expert so I didn’t really choose specifically based off of amount of L-methylfolate. If it helps I was also taking this when my friend complimented me! https://www.amazon.com/Rainbow-Light-Vibrance-Multivitamin-Supplement/dp/B01MFH3CF9
