Based on a 5100 series GMC/Chevrolet truck
Dat MPG. Reminds me of a Diesel Rabbit pickup that VW made back in the early 80s. 40+ MPG in a pickup is no joke.
Saw it at the ATHS truck show in Lexington KT this year. V12-71 Detroit Diesel power baby!
Just seems to be a trend in custom bikes, especially cafe racer-ish bikes, last few years.
I think it was initially inspired by the panel on some old racing bikes that had thier racing numbers on them, but is just a 'style' thing now.
Yup, I think there's one more small pic from much the same angle and that's it. Here's the page from "LeTourneau Earthmovers" by Eric C. Orleman.
Manual? The old automatics had quite a penalty on power. And a turbo diesel gives a lot of the torque you American so love.
Cars sold in America vs. Europe always have a different suspension tune. American manufacturers will stiffen the suspension for Europe and still car testers will describe it as 'too soft and underdamped'. For my taste, Europeans have gone too stiff over the last decade or two. There are shitty roads here, too, and those can be punishing. The French have traditionally always had a good compromise between a relatively soft ride and still good road-holding. I used to drive a first gen Renault Twingo that rode serene for what it was. These days I'm stuck with a 20 year old Peugeot minivan that I inherited. Nice highway ride.
I use reddit enhancement suite and it has an ignore function if you hover the offenders username. We do have a pretty populated ban list but are conservative when it comes to adding low effort posters. One thing that I noticed also is that a low effort poster sometimes hangs out and becomes a real op. True spam is right out but it's hard sometimes to define a karmawhore. One criteria we do use is the attention op pays to their post, offering info and answering questions. We'll mull this issue and try to come up with perhaps stricter policies. If you wouldn't mind pm'ing the usernames you've noticed that would be helpful. Thanks for the feedback!

This can be placed under tougher high traffic rubber.
Ah... I remember driving this in Test Drive 3.
Hated the car so much... always get murdered by the police car.
Thanks! It took 8 years total to get to this point. But most the progress was made in the last four. I made the side mirrors from motorcycle mirrors. Though the housing over them is actually part of the frame of a remote control car.

Amazing transformation from the stock car. Now it looks a bit like a scaled-down '47 buick
Glancing at the thumbnail, I thought it was a low, cab-forward truck like the Dodge Deora or Roth's Bike Truck.
I know this is late, and I really hope you see this, but I found it for sale here:
Well, using someone's investigation of the Model S motor it appears that the torque curve is flat up to ~40mph, with the power requirements going down to 0 at 0mph, and reaching a peak around 40-45mph
The difference in behaviour to fans might be because the Tesla uses a different type of motor? (Induction vs whatever the fan uses?)
Yeah. They're ghastly. Something super generic and "old timey" like these would have been miles better, even if not truly correct for the truck.
