Yes, 1994 was a good year.
Of course you actually had to have dialup to receive updates at that time.

Here, I found some new rose colored glasses for you when yours finally wear out.

Already one in the works. But don’t expect it on the forums or Steam...Copyright takedowns shot down Mik’s X3 version. He’s been keeping the X3 and X4 versions alive on ModDB.

(Edited...don’t know who issued the copyright takedowns)
Thanks for the reply! Didn't fix it for me at the time. I did learn however, that my problem was all caused by f.lux, so closing that (or turning off software mouse cursor in the settings there) fixed everything.
There are ways, but it's always a question of whether you want to spend the effort to make that happen and if that actually solves issues significantly enough to be worth it.
One example from the top of my head is Factorio which does have multithreading for some things. See for example this blog entry (search for "Multithreaded belts").
The exact challenges for each game are different, of course.
My point is: It's not a black-and-white "multithreading simulation can't be done without adding synchronisation errors". It's more a "is it worth it to figure out how to do this properly"?
here are the changes done already (scroll down to news) https://www.egosoft.com/games/x4/info_en.php
i’m just waiting for them to take the beta changes and add them to the full version, but anyone is free to play beta right now if you want.
Absolutely! I got the Sceptre Curved 49 inch, since it matched the two 27" monitors it replaced in physical size, while also being both a resolution(1080p > 1440p) and refresh rate(60 > 144hz) upgrade. I've liked it a lot! Though some games are a bit touchy, or even outright uncooperative if I try to use the full resolution :P
Thank you for the mod! That was the only thing that was irking me about the setup! I'll have to get that installed when I'm off work!
EDIT: I have a 1070 8GB GPU as the current market hasn’t allowed me to upgrade. I'll likely wait until the 40xx series to upgrade at this point
Not sure as this has VR, The new MMO Style MP Update and big game content update and claiming to be their biggest update yet. Also they moving to the Vulkan engine as well.
This comes out on Aug 14th.
There is no certificate about X3. There is a certificate issued by Let's Encrypt who are currently the third largest certificate authority by market share. Their signing certificate is currently called "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" because it's the third version of their signing certificate.
And you freak out because you found a two letter combination that is similar, but different to a game that crashed.
Thanks, i get that's a good deal to get it while it's not sold on steam anymore, might work, little worried it can't, don't know :/
Edit: i specifically refer to this old package on steam https://gg.deals/dlc/x4-foundations-collector-s-edition-content/?tab=official-stores now replaced by a "collection"
Hi, thanks for liking the mod :)
i do not really like the patreon works, so i dont use it.
But if you would like to somehow support in this you can buy me a coffee :)
It used to suck. less than 80% capture rate... with next to no 0-day captures, but it has come a long way.

Well, it’s a couple days later. BUT, I found it available included with Amazon prime (for no other charge).
Do you have a pop filter for it? If not, you should definitely invest in one, they're like $5 on Amazon. They stop the harsh "p" sounds. Also, if you're fine with spending the cash, a mic arm and one of these will also improve your sound quality. It stops vibrations from the desk from transferring into the mic.
