Can you get a kindle? I have all 6 books on my kindle, the new models are shit but if you can get your hands on a paperwhite it uses magnets n' shit to create a screen that resembles actual paper and can be read in the sunlight, unlike the LCD screen on the nook and modern kindle.(as a drawback it can only display black and white)
But, if you can find a 3rd generation paperwhite, you can get the books on your Kindle and go ham. If you'd like an actual book, then amazon ships to Indonesia though the shipping may cost more than the actual book.
https://nyaa.si/view/1172453 Found it, google translated version from subs pulled from 2chan. Note that things are probably gonna speed up by now, since more people probably know Spanish, Russian, French, etc, than Japanese, and all those languages are now properly translated.
Manga is only at the Os Fjord still so a good 10-15 chapters to catch up IMO.
LN is translated to english in November, start ordering on amazon, chapters, or whatever place to buy books and it will support the author. You could always order overseas but the shipping will cost you an arm and a leg so might as well wait for stuff to reach your country.
EDIT: here you can see date is November 14 2017 for release, you can even preorder https://www.amazon.com/Saga-Tanya-Evil-light-novel/dp/0316512443/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1501365247&sr=8-1&keywords=youjo+senki
i know the first part is here in the sub, but the second part i've only seen on this site
Ah, alright the one I'm looking at is on USAGundamStore
Also look at this one on Amazon it changes price almost every day.....
Personally, I found the 5th volume bearable, for me it were the 6th and first half of 7th that I had to slog through on sheer willpower as I felt Carlo Zen's worldbuilding literally falling apart around me with each new development. :-/
That said, it gets better afterwards.
Don't worry much about Mary Sue. She's annoying and useless, but she doesn't dominate the story like in the movie. In fact I'd say the primary character on the volunteer corps side is Colonel Drake.
On the subject of Tanya's leadership, you really haven't seen yet how capable they truly are. Wait until the end of volume 7, where their ability >!to lose the war by winning all the battles!< really shines (and open that spoiler on your own risk).
As for Tanya defecting, you might find the Amazon description of volume 10 helpful. :-)
Btw, if you want to shorten amazon links. You can remove everything between "amazon.co.jp" and "/dp/". Plus everything after the serial numbers. So "ref=" and everything after.
In the end it should look like this:
Whether the blunt reason of 21st-century utilitarian technocracy can master the universe, or the universe is beyond human ability to control; whether an individual can get by relying on no one, or we have to put faith in others; whether human irrationally can or should be overcome; whether God actually cares about us, or we're just lost in an unforgiving world. Can rationalist individualism live up to the faith we put in it? If the true nature of the universe is that it is ruled by capricious superbeings just as contingent as humans, then Youjo Senki's answer to the question of whether there's more to life than just rationalist calculation becomes confusing and dismal—it becomes weaker.
Perhaps it will help to read something I wrote a couple years ago over on Crunchyroll, about how I want Youjo Senki to end. There's no good end that doesn't end in faith, unless we believe it's good for Tanya to be a monster:
>The final battle ends with a magical nuclear explosion, and we don't get to see who wins. Fast forward to present-day Syria in our world: ISIS is lining up members of a religious minority community to be shot. Several children are in the line-up, among them a trembling orphan boy. A little girl also in the line goes to him and holds his hand, saying, "Don't worry; they won't kill us. God is with us and will protect us. I promise." He looks up wide-eyed at the girl - and then notices that she's hiding a gun. The little girl makes an incredibly evil smile - one we recognize well - cocks her pistol behind her back, and the screen goes black.
> they used part of the kanji for "super heavy elements", which is used in nuclear explosive stuff. The kanji for large is also added with it
Um...
http://jisho.org/search/juudai
That word means "important".
Fun fact, airborne aircraft carriers were a thing. None saw actual combat as far as I know.
Also I'm fairly certain the 7th Air fleet are bombers. Zepplins would just get sniped by (ultra) long range snipe (in Tanya's case, bombardment) spells.
You know, there's a torrent for the movie at https://nyaa.si/. Of course, if you know how to use torrent, there's a sub (English) version on the website. Although the fan translate is not good per se. It is there for anyone who wants to watch. 1.5 Gb, so it's gonna take a long time to download it. After that, turn on the subtitles after you open the file. That is how I watch mine anyway. The movie is amazing, I absolutely love the ending and the hidden credit scene.
Sounds amazing and if you're looking for a video editor that does a decent job then you should look into OpenShot video editor its free and open source.
To download video clips This site is also pretty good which is what i use when i want save something on my pc
someone in the comments of the movie on Nyaa.si says they're subbing it properly right now (they're about an hour into it currently) and that their subs for it should be out next week. perhaps we have hope!
It is already on limetorrents:
It's on mobile cause I'm at work, but sometimes the search doesn't work for pre-orders so just sort it by release date. Normally I pre-order physical copies through rightstuf and buy digital copies I can't wait for on kindle.
I am all for getting things for free. However, I think this community can agree that we want more Youjo Senki content. So we need to pay them so they make more. I believe Amazon has all of them readily available for kindle and paper back readily available. Volume 1 can be found here.
Used on Amazon JP. They have an ebook version, but it might be regional specific.
There is no and likely never will be an English version.
Sure! Here is the amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316512443
I prefer a physical copy as well, but they come out agonizingly slowly it seems! For example I am following The Irregular at Magic High School light novels (and I love the anime/manga) but they only come out something like 2-3 a year and many more to go. So Tanya is JUST starting end of this year, gonna be a long wait I think, but if any luck we'll get 2-3 more in 2018 for Tanya.
