Decided to recreate nakinyko's mashup, as it got taken down SoundCloud/YouTube.
Edit: Never mind, he has all his mashups here. Was still a fun process though.
For what its worth. I used an android app called Shazam and just held my headphones near my phone and it told me what it was.
What I found so far is that the people who did the menu music might be different from who did the original soundtrack. Their names are Matt Chaney and Matthew Piersall.
The person who composed the original music for the FMA series is Michiru Oshima.
I think this is all I can manage. I'm really not having much luck with this. :(

One can play the accomplishment & the other, melody
There's also a Funk-House cover of Just Communication from 16'30 to 19'30 at https://hearthis.at/jzgmyrcb/houseanime51k-3/KGQ/
what do you have in mind? im a composition student, but i love making electronic music, as well as being a huge anime fan, but i've never done actual anime music before, could be interesting
I recently for an assignment did a re-score of the opening scene from Eva 3.33 if you want to check it out https://vimeo.com/88403856
Put this on second tab, then read the following, for a nostalgic trip.
> Spearows! Do you know who I am?
> I'm Ash from the town of Pallet. I am destined to be the worlds number one Pokémon Master. I can't be defeated by the likes of you. I'm going to capture and defeat you all. You hear me?
> (Pikachu, go inside the Poké Ball it's the only way.)
> Come and get me!
It's just a beat, where you can rap. I've changed the tempo and the pitch, changed some percussion and added some samples. Yep, it's not very different from the original, I didn't chopped it because I really liked the whole song, that's why I called an 'edit'.
Here you can listen to it with a random rap acapella.
I'm looking for the music from Capricorn, an OVA from 1991. Music by Ikuro FUJIWARA. Does anybody have it or know where to look? Would really appreciate. :D

Some post processing with something like Audacity can do wonders! There are a few guides, here's a quick video that goes over the basics if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRQ3FYFyZA4
The actual editing starts at ~4 minutes.
Sorry if I'm rude. If you want a shortcut for my mixes, https://hearthis.at/jzgmyrcb/set/animejpop-mixes/ . 6-8 & Rock are good & use mostly originals. Keys: https://imgur.com/a/Bog9GyC
>there aren't that many suitable tracks for a certain mix
Rasmus Faber has done some EDM/anime & there's a few in CCS. You found a lot I reckon. Maybe if you did some re-ordering. I'll also praise you for trying to be thematic.
RE length, are you happy with listening to mixes with only TV-size songs? I personally don't find it satisfying. & is there a good reason for TV-size & originals?
Thanks for listening & commenting.
I had the idea of bringing together Motekke Sailor Fuku & Roki. As with my previous mashup, they're 1 key & mode apart. To make MTSF minor, there were some hax involved. Like running 2 pitchshifters (1 fixed & 1 scale-based) & manually switching between them. Because the scale-based pitchshifter doesn't sound good on all the time. u/a916ww are you surprised that tech like this has been available for a few years? u/K0asted The above & this is what i've been working on for the past few months.
Some arbitrary songs with pno & e.gtr, but also other instruments, if you can sing:
You can check out my mix for some inspiration: https://hearthis.at/jZGMYrcb/dal-op-c3-op18/
There's heaps of anime songs with Pno & gtr. A silent voice has some BGM with Pno + other.
If you can't sing, maybe you can find piano arrangements of songs & have your friend strum along. That would be practical advice.
Have a listen to My (mostly) rock mix & see what you like: https://hearthis.at/jZGMYrcb/dal-op-c3-op24/5tN/
> thx for telling me, you know good music!
Ty, I grew up in an era when music was made for artistry, not money. Maybe you'll like what i like:

Having mix that only sounds good on headphones is NOT an excuse to put "Please use headphones" in the title. In fact, I have mixes like https://hearthis.at/jZGMYrcb/6lrsmidi11-export-bak-hrtf-asy/ designed specifically for headphones BUT STILL sound "acceptable" on speakers.
It's a bad idea to mix using headphones generally. https://www.soundonsound.com/sound-advice/q-why-cant-i-do-all-my-mixing-headphones . Also follow the advice of a916 above. It sounds bad because the instruments sound samey.
I've been looking for it and it seems it comes in 2 parts with BD/DVD volumes 4 and 5, they release 28 June and 26 July. amazon link if you scroll down it says サウンドトラックCD1 on product description.
doesn't seem to be part of the official soundtrack, at least I didn't recognize it from any of the samples on amazon https://www.amazon.co.jp/TVアニメ「orange」オリジナル・サウンドトラック-堤博明/dp/B01JLTV1HG
it's likely that funimation picked some song themselves to make the trailer for the western release. if you run out of options then your best bet might be to try to contact funimation directly and ask them,
I've been using an android app called stream, works fine for watching youtube on a locked phone but takes up ~15% of the screen when its unlocked. If someone finds something better let me know.
