A brand spanking new, 6-core 8700k is £320. Here you're getting a 2-gen old quad core for a 10% discount versus the 8. gen.
A brand spanking new 7700k which is better in every way and is compatible with the same boards costs LESS - £255 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-i7-7700K-LGA1151-Graphics-Processor/dp/B01LTI1JEM/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1518426739&sr=1-1&keywords=7700k
That's just a shitty deal, not a sale by any means. Please don't post crap like that - just because Amazon lists "XXX% sale" doesn't mean it's decent.
This isn't a very good deal at all, please no one buy this...
Just spend the extra £6 and get a non-reference dual fan 5700 for £300.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-Radeon-5700-Boost-Ultra/dp/B07XVMXBQW
This just doesn’t seem worth it when you can buy the Zalman K500 with Kailh Red switches for £20 at the moment.
Either that or suffer with a shitty generic keyboard that you can probably get for free somewhere and find another £10 and buy the Gigabyte Force K83 for Forty Notes and has Cherry Reds.
MX500 2TB is the same price and uses TLC instead of QLC. Not really a deal.

All I can say is I have a 2700x for a year and a half now and i am impressed with it... this price is a pretty decent price for 8c/16t at 4.3ghz
You can find it cheaper on amazon at £193 AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Processor with Wraith Prism RGB LED Cooler - YD270XBGAFBOX https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07B428M7F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DNMKDbRVRF0KZ
Sorry to be the spoiler but this isn't a deal. On Amazon, it is £129 with no sale with next day delivery and the comfort of Amazon returns if any issue does come up.
At the time of posting, this Sandisk 480GB SSD is only £50.99...
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01F9G46Q8
...which isn't much more for a well known brand. Only downside is you can't make a swear word from the name, with or without a tipp-ex.

I bought this exact same same kit 9 months ago for £160....
Not a good deal -
£81.99 at Amazon
https://www.amazon.co.uk/CORSAIR-VENGEANCE-PC4-28800-Desktop-memory/dp/B07TB3R9JB
Better deal was the 2x16GB 3600 White kits they were selling them for £139 the other day.
Better off paying the little extra for evga black edition no? £621 on amazon
It's £299.99 on Amazon. Free delivery I assume. Edit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Ryzen-3700X-Processor-Cache/dp/B07SXMZLPK/
It says delivery takes 1-4 weeks though.
Do you guys think it's going to get cheaper or should I just take the plunge? I'm waiting for MSI's MAX motherboards next month.. so not going to be able to use the 3700x for a while.
We're seeing Silicon Power appear quite often for SSD sales and as normal, it's great value for its price/capacity but I wouldn't use them to store any critical information on. if you just want to chuck in a 512GB game drive then it's decent otherwise look to more reputable manufacturers (and their warranties) for SSDs.
Crucial are currently selling their BX500 (480GB) for £54.98
No it is not, 55% sale is bullshit, in fact - regular price on amazon de is cheaper:
Hopefully not too many people clicked straight through to Amazon without reading the below steps first to get the headline price.
A few weeks back Amazon EU and Amazon US as sellers via Amazon UK gave buyers cheaper prices for both the Ryzen 5600x (£226) and 5800x (£307 and £335). Now they're giving one of Intel's outgoing CPUs a nice dip in price of £295 vs the UK equivalent of ~£350 and up.
On the middle right click on "New (x) from £xyz & free delivery"
Scroll a bit until you see "Amazon US" listed as the "Dispatches from" and "Sold by" with a price of roughly ~£355.42. Add that to the basket. If you don't see Amazon US anywhere then the deal is over.
Click "Proceed to checkout" then on the page that loads is where you will see the price of ~£295.58 and an estimated delivery of the end of this month.
Q: Surely I will get hit with a customs and import charge once it arrives in the UK?
A: Nope. The great thing about ordering things from Amazon is that they are transparent about all charges involved with your order and tell you, and charge you, up front. The entire break down of all costs is shown on the final page of check out. You pay that total price shown and that's it. Nothing else.
See replies for the 5800x at £307 thread below where users, including myself, got the product at the advertised price with no further charges after the CPU arrived at our doorsteps.
https://old.reddit.com/r/buildapcsalesuk/comments/mhunp5/ryzen_5800x_30740/
You expect someone to pay £500 for essentially a 'used' card?
I'd sooner purchase this!
Proper buyer protection with solid customer service and a full warranty. Not sure you can get away with charging that price, hell I picked up a brand new GTX 1080ti for £582 on Amazon two weeks ago...
Found a Toshiba £200.99 drive on Amazon, also 8tb
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MR6Y13P/
Otherwise, there's a seagate for £203.39, but you can get it for £191.98 if you don't mind waiting till it's back in stock.
Same monitor seems to be on Amazon for £179. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-VG270bmiix-Monitor-FreeSync-ZeroFrame/dp/B07C5CVCJM
edit: apologies - this appears to be the FullHD version, not 2560x1440.
If you're worried about branding then you can pickup a 240GB Western Digital Green SSD for £33.45 from Amazon too.
Edit: Note, I've only suggested the drive on price point not performing factors. Both have SLC caching. Always do your research before buying!
They also nudged their 1TB NVMe down to the lowest I've noted in quite some time. Still not expecting better than GB/£ prices from a few months ago just yet.
Non-FE 1080's are in stock and for sale on Amazon for less.
Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC 8 GB GDDR5X PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card - Black - £494
Amazon finally have a selection of Vega models back in stock that don't require importing from the US.
Also available are:
ASUS STRIX Vega 56 £398.99
Radeon RX Vega 56 Pulse £405.46
As a side note has anyone else noticed how Amazon seem to have a bot filling in all the titles for GPUs? Some of their GPU pages are appearing as bad Ebay entries.
Is £69 a good price for a 500GB SSD? this is one part that I've never looked into.
Yeah I just searched 500GB SSD on amazon and found another for £63 and a 480GB SSD for £55, this price doesn't seem special, is there something I'm missing?
Keep in mind the max write speeds are 'only' upto 2,000/1,750 MB/s. The WD 500GB NVMe SSD is 3,400/2,800 MB/s and also on deal on amazon at the moment at £113.36 (51% off). A better deal IMO.

I’m doing my first build in 8yrs and finding the plethora of ram options a bit mind blowing. Going for a Ryzen 9 build (when I can find a 5000 series processor in stock) on a Gigabyte X570 Auros Master board. Reading reviews it seems 3600 CL16 ram was the way to go - is that right?
I’ve got these on order:

There's always something like this £23 ambi layout for those that want more evenly distributed buttons & have a different grip style.
>I use a palm grip, with only the upper half of my palm resting on the mouse
Is that common and called 'palm', or like a 'claw' tips grip that's also resting/touching just from the shape of the mouse body??
What's the difference between this and the sandisk one here:
I can see it has a faster write speed but SSD's really aren't my speciality so not sure what I should be looking for. I got a 120 and 240gb in my current rig so been looking to upgrade.
Please note, there are three "versions" of this. This is not the 1080p 144Hz variant, nor the 1440p 240Hz, but is the hybrid 1440p 120Hz.
> Hi, > Many thanks for the order. I am afraid there is a problem with the order placed & how we listed this item. We listed against this item on Amazon based on the product code in the title which is CA-S340W-B3 > As you can see this code is actualy for a black case as per this listing - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01IFLDU16/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YEWSPFW6KVX8HY8CYHC1 so we were advertising what we thought was a black case. > We have stock avail for the black case at the price you paid but we currently do not have the white case & I am waiting for an ETA from my supplier for the case. > If you would prefer the black case we can get that sent for you now. > If you would like the white case we can put you on back order & ship the order once stock becomes avail > I am sorry for the mistake in our listing. > Regards, Nic.
Confirmed I wanted the black case, got a reply saying it's been dispatched.
Asus z170 mobo for 102 euro on the french amazon, dunno what it'll be in euros but its a pretty good deal. https://www.amazon.fr/Asus-Z170-Carte-Intel-Socket/dp/B0126R2LBK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1480107352&sr=8-4&keywords=z170
Yeah you can get Corsair SP120 single colour LED for as low as £8.19 on amazon
But each of these fans are RGB and you have a controller to change all the colours too! According to camelcamelcamel the lowest price Corsair SP120 RGB was £12.99 (+5.28 P&P). The lowest price on Amazon camelcamelcamel says £16.99 (I haven't put links for camelcamelcamel because they always contain referrals and I always make mistakes removing the links)
You also get a fan hub for up to 6 fans and an LED controller for those fans! The led controller can be plugged into certain cases or a fan controller if you want. I bet you get a fan hub and led controller for £5 each (maybe £10 for a good brand?) But its nice having everything in one package and they all work together!
If you look at this review fastforward 3min to see how the hub and led controller work Corsair SP120 & HD120 RGB Fan Review
You can get a generic fan controller all the way from china as low as about £5.00 but its gonna cost you a lot more to get a fan controller that also controls the colours of the LEDs
>offer bold lighting with vivid lighting effects. Intuitive 3-button controller Allows you to cycle through lighting effects, effect speeds, and colors.

I've just sold my RX480 for a tidy profit, and need something to tide me over until Vega as i have no integrated graphics, will this do?
EDIT: Hey all, took your ideas and bought this: GTX 1050ti On amazon Prime for just £130 with 2 hour delivery, not bad.
Thanks :) !
EDIT2: Just played 2 rounds of Battlegrounds with the 1050ti and my golly, i'd heard Battlegrounds was un-optimised for AMD cards, but this is silly. I've got it at the same graphical settings on as when I had the RX 480 8gb, and yet the 1050ti definitely feels a lot smoother although i've lost about 10fps, i'm very happy.
Also the same price on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Nvidia-1080-GDDR5-PCI/dp/B01J66BMXC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1504184832&sr=8-2&keywords=gigabyte+gtx+1080
Just thought I would post because it's one of the cheapest decent 1080s I can see right now https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Gigabyte-Nvidia-1080-GDDR5-PCI-/product/B01J66BMXC
It seems Amazon UK is also eligible for the CPU+MoBo promo: https://promotion.asus.com/en/uk/Ryzen/tac
I find it interesting, since it includes titles like NiOH or Ni no Kuni II, between others.
I'm buying from Spain, so I don't know if would be able to take benefit from this :S
I'd recommend this MoBo, btw:
Insight UK has a single TURBO-GTX1080TI-11G (blower style) for £709.26 if anyone is desperate.
If you have a credit card which doesn't charge for currency conversions, Amazon Italy shows the Zotac 1080Ti blower style for £644.49, but perhaps might take a month to be delivered. Note that Amazon would add £30 or so as their own currency fee unless you tell it to use Euros for the card.
No personal experience but mostly 4/5 stars on Amazon if that helps. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-K242HLDbid-FHD-Monitor-100/dp/B018KJNOIM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1528742103&sr=8-1&keywords=acer+K242HLA#customerReviews

Ryzen 1's are falling faster than SSD's at the moment.
The promotion is still running, but I don't think this particular one off Amazon does. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong, but I would imagine it only counts if says 'Promotion Available' under the list price. Bit like you see here
There was a thread a couple days ago with the same RAM
But amazon has more speed options for varying prices. You can get a 1x8b @ 3000mhz instead of 2400 for £37.10 with free delivery (compared to Ebuyers £35.50 including delivery).
Vega 56 Pulse is on Amazon for £249 right now, after delivery it's only £10 over the blower model. Only back in stock on the 26th though apparently.
For £1 more you could get a fast charge Anker with double the size (20,000mAh)
Same price on amazon if anyone has prime :) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LC24FG73FQUXEN-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor/dp/B071RP6WVL/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1538092138&sr=8-1&keywords=144hz+curved+monitor

I use displaycal for calibration.
with a 'ColorMunki Display'
on windows calibration is a big pain, anything past sRGB is not fun to set up. It's still a simpler time on Mac.
NEC & EIZO are worth a look if you in a top $$$$ range, lower range BenQ is worth a look for the real value sRGB displays & some ok priced high gamut displays.
Dell has always had some good ones to.
good luck
Ahh I'm torn on this, I need a new monitor and want a curved 27" 1440p one.... however I currently have a Samsung (this one https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LN1QSQY) that I've been having issues with so it's putting me off. On the one hand I really like the curvature and the colours of the Samsung monitors, but I've only had my current one for about 2 years and I swear its buggered and on its way out. In a morning when I turn it on I get a nicely coloured array of stripes across the bottom of the screen, which slowly creep up the entire screen and then it turns yellow. Eventually it "warms up" and goes back to normal, only to repeat again the next day lol. I am waiting for the day it just gives up and dies. Also I never got a UK plug with it and had to get a partial refund from Amazon to buy the plug off ebay because Samsung support wouldn't send me one.
This monitor looks perfect though...Does anyone have this monitor and have they had any problems with it? Does it have the flickery screen issue that the G7/G9 have?
More than likely, it would be a scam - probably an 8GB card messed around with to appear to be a 128GB card. You can't even use the picture to verify if it is real as it is a PR picture from Samsung so you have no idea what will turn up. You do have some protections from Ebay and Paypal I suppose if you were to go ahead and buy, but that all takes time - My suggestion would be to save time and go onto Amazon and pick up something like this Toshiba 128GB Micro SD Card £29.99 Class 10
Same price on Amazon for those with Prime.
Some of us (including my self and my friend) see pictures of an LED strip in the "your orders" tab on amazon, I found an LED strip sold by the same seller, same price for delivery, same 13% discount, and same price for the strip https://www.amazon.co.uk/Akasa-Vegas-Light-Ribbon-AK-LD05-50BL/dp/B01IBUFX48/ref=aag_m_pw_dp?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2LNOP4UQZJ1
I ordered a pair of these last Thursday for an upcoming build, in stock date said the 15th, they arrived on Saturday.
They're on MSI's AVL and from looking at the Amazon comments I'm hoping to run them at 2666 and maybe CL15

Hey
Just saw these on Amazon Warehouse Deals. Once added to basket it will go down to £80 - Hope this helps :)
I'm possibly missing something stupid here, but I just found the ASUS STRIX X370-F GAMING AM4 X370 motherboard on amazon for £119 (£127 w/ delivery from USA). Usually I think it's £170+
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B071ZHCF41/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It looks like it's going to possibly take a while to arrive, and right now (about 5 minutes after I've ordered) Amazon is showing:
Not yet dispatched Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.
But for that price I'm giving it a go.
Supposedly it is in stock, and will take 6-11 days to arrive. I'll see I guess! I was going to get the B350 board, but for such a small amount extra I'll go for this.
Lowest it has ever been on Amazon UK.
I was told to stay clear of that company as they are based in Czech Republic and can have poor customer service/returns/replacement times.
Here is the same stick on Amazon for cheaper, but out of stock. I've ordered a pair form there
Did not mean to add referral, amazon does it automatically :/
EDIT: Im actually a goof, messed this up too, fixed now.
If you search amazon, there is a deal for 209£

3200 CL16 are Hynix IC kits so it might not run at rated speeds with Ryzen, 3200 CL14 are the B-Die kits. For Ryzen I'd wait for a deal on a better kit unless you really want RGB.
Either way, I think this kit should at least run at 2933Mhz, but then again there are cheaper Crucial 2x8GB 3000Mhz kits on amazon right now that will also most likely run at 2933Mhz: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ballistix-BLS2K8G4D30BESBK-PC4-24000-Single-288-Pin/dp/B07HP87R9J/ (but no RGB).

Got one of those couple of weeks ago.
960gb version is £83 on Amazon.
Read that it's not the most reliable drive in the world, so while it's a solid deal I'd recommend spending a bit more on something like an MX500 if you're going to use it as a boot drive/keep important stuff on it. If you're not, go for it. Tempted to get a 960gb one for my PS4.
Link for the 3600MHz kit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B083V93HJG
Currently £46.99 so worth picking up over the 3200 for +£2 unless it sells out and the 3200 is still available.
EDIT: 3600MHz now OOS as of 01:00 BST.
Wish I saw this deal 2 weeks earlier.
Did some research, is this one same monitor just different mark??
Thanks for the reply! I'm going through the NewMaxx SSD buying guide and also found this Kingston A2000 on amazon for around the same price as the Crucial P1, but the Kingston is in the Moderate category rather than Budget. Delivery is also free but 5-6 days later. If you're interested...

Not necessarily which is why we use things like camelcamelcamel/pcpartpicker/dealferret to see what the prices are historically.
Also the price stricken through isn't always the RRP just a price it was sold for however many weeks ago for so long (can't remember the legislation) so the strike through price could be higher or lower than the MSRP/RRP.
here's an example of something currently on sale for less than MSRP and is on sale due to a price match at ebuyer notice ebuyer has a discount of £35~ listed because it was previously on sale for £71~ but amazon doesn't advertise the same discount but just lists the item as for sale at £35.81
I hope this didn't come off as condescending.
Bought this one from Amazon warehouse. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B088LR9LQG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Would pairing this with an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F be good, or are there better recommendations for a similar price?
pcpartpicker says they should be compatible, but the bios may need upgrading if an older version. Never done that before, but it seems easy enough?
If you dislike how hot your PC is, is it a glass aquarium of a design, or got actually functional airflow (i.e. a mesh front)?
If you have a MicroATX motherboard, you could case-swap to something like this. If you have a full ATX mobo, maybe a P360A would do you better.
2 vs 3 fans on your GPU isn't a big deal for such <150W cards once you have a few PWM fans to set curves for.
coololly already put a link in this thread showing a 980Ti to be comparable to a 580 as per Tom's Hardware benchmarks, so I don't know what experiences and hardware differences you have had to find the 980Ti noticably better, but certainly some games can buck the average in terms of which GPU architecture they run best on.
If your card is already letting you play at very acceptable settings & fluidity, you needn't spend any more on one until you expect that will change in the near future. But generally a GPU upgrade will give the biggest fps:£ value, instead of CPU, RAM, NVMe, mobo, etc.
Assuming you are based in the UK, you can always buy a card online, try it for the ~10days cooling off period and return it within that window if it can't perform (e.g. can't handle streaming while playing at nice quality) without any specific problem/reason needing to be given to the retailer, that's simply one's right in law.

Might be worth a grab for 12th gen Intel, or keep for an AMD build upon release of Ryzen 7000.
During the Amazon Prime day this month, 8GB DDR5 Crucial DIMMs were £34, and atm they're still £83 for 2. Not quite £55 to match DDR4 but far better than it was, at least for the slower stuff.

Just saw, also available on Amazon for the same price
This acer seems better, 165hz, strong review on Rtings.com, better stand, comes with HDMI and DP cables.

The 27inch is showing as £149, is there any reason not to go for the larger version? https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Optix-eSports-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B08YNLW6WC/?\_encoding=UTF8&pd\_rd\_w=t04zf&pf\_rd\_p=822afc68-e2bb-4420-ac6e-1044cd2e7c1d&pf\_rd\_r=6E5R6JPA7C85XBS4NRHT&pd\_rd\_r=f11515ec-7f29-4845-9c60-bcf5f7bcdc6c&a...
50p more gets you a known brand.

For the price difference, I'd trust Kingston more. If 50p is genuinely an important enough saving to warrant going for a slower card from a no-name brand, fair enough. Amazon's returns are good, so as long as you run h2testw/FakeFlashTest/etc on it, you'll be fine. Your data might not be, but if you're only using it for a boot drive on a Raspberry Pi etc, and don't put any non-recoverable data on it then I don't see it being an issue. Wouldn't trust it with photos etc though.
Not sure why you would consider this when you can get a top end 1TB Gen 4 NVME for £130...
I bought this one for about 200 at the same in Jan 2020 seems crazy that it's now nearly 600.
Even in the thin and light space, this is underpowered.
Spend 15% more and you could get something with a 3050ti and a Ryzen 9.

Sorry I posted the wrong price just before. Was looking for an air cooler when I came across this and it seems like a decent price for an AIO?
I have this one for a couple of months now, for that price, that is an UN-believable deal, damn!
The panels do come with a little bit a of calibration need (too much green) so I ordered a calibration kit and here is the icc profile if anyone is using it and noticing some weird color in the greys.
Is this better than the corsair 2x8gb 3600:
I realise that this is 2x16gb, but your deal seems cheaper for what youre getting compared to what I've just bought. I am using a AMD processor and auros motherboard. Thanks

Loved it but it was a bit too small. Wait till amazon warehouse 30% off sale. I get all my "expensive" gadgets then. They should one right before xmas
[£45 for this keyboard) and [£15 for this mouse), both on-board with programmable keys, RGB.
£160 for this highly praised IPS 144Hz monitor.
Good fucking luck getting a PC with a dGPU, or even just the GPU alone, for £500.
Any good deals on 4K 144 Hz monitors?
This is probably the best I've seen: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-XG27UQR-Monitor-DisplayHDR-Adaptive/dp/B098TGMJRN/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=4K+144Hz+monitor&qid=1637948263&qsid=257-1414923-2386750&sr=8-4&sres=B0999Q612J%2CB098TGMJRN%2CB092VRM9RH%2CB098T38CFX%2CB083RV6TZ6...
What's your price range. Saw these Edifier R1850DB but they might still be a bit pricey if you aren't looking for top-of-the-line stuff.
Same for me, always seems to be with Currys. This also the same price on Amazon with prime delivery.
Only 1 in stock though.
You must click the box next to "Apply 40% voucher" just beneath the price of £340.26 to bring the price down to £204.16 at checkout. If you don't see the voucher box then either you don't have Amazon UK as the selected seller or they're out of allocation.
The 40% voucher also works on their 1TB drive that brings the price down from £176.28 to £105.77

Usually you would be looking at anywhere from an extra £20 to £50 above these discounted prices to get these kinds of speeds at this price so it's a nice saving. Also, if you're one of the few that have managed to got a hold of a PS5 then these drives work in those as well and have the required minimum transfer speeds for games that can take advantage of the extra bandwidth.
