I almost see them as a necessity. I live in GA with a black civic, summers are brutal.
If I don't put up a sunshade (this one in particular, covers entire windshield) and leave my windows cracked to vent heat (thanks to the ventshades), it's almost unbearable to get into my car, it will take your breath away sometimes.
Aftermarket. The OEM parts were too expensive for my wallet.

Me too. TorqueGT generally specialise in carefully selected grey imports on the pricier side, but I've not seen anything like this. The pound has fallen against the Yen since the Brexit vote which has made imports pricier, but this seems wild to me.
Imported FD2 Type Rs are generally in the £15-20k range ($20-25k) and the contemporary FN2 Mugen Civic Type R they officially sold in the U.K are similar. They only did 200 of those as well. Even with minimal mileage they're almost a fifth of the price.
Mainly posted as it was so mind-bogglingly expensive. And TorqueGT aren't really chancers. There's a good chance someone will pay this or close to it.

This is the exact one, it's on the pricey side but I didn't want to have to deal with a dongle for the apple car play, this is built in which is the main reason I picked this one
Super easy to do. Anyone can do it with a socket set and screwdrivers. I followed this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1TZfVoGUYCM. And replaced with stock from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002MESVUI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kM1lxb695795K Makes an older looking car a bit nicer.
Advice on installing with an impact wrench: don’t. Spend the money on a proper torque wrench . Impact wrenches can get extreme pretty fast if you aren’t super careful.
Turns out there was a limit on the total number of characters for filenames. It appears that 63 character filenames (including the ".mp3") will work fine, but 64 character filenames can't be read. This character limit also appears to apply to folder names on the drive. I used Tag Scanner (http://www.xdlab.ru/en/index.htm) to tag and rename the 5000 some odd MP3 files in my library, then I used Rename Master (http://www.joejoesoft.com/vcms/108/) to rename the 500 some odd folders in that library. The process was fairly painless, but an inconvenience to say the least. I have around 10 other devices that play my files flawlessly without such petty limitations.
The only other problem I have come across is the sorting of the files in each folder. They appear to be in numerical order most of the time but in some folders the order they play in is not correct. I have tried inserting .m3u playlists, but they don't fix the sorting problem.
If your headlights are cloudy/foggy, you can clean them up with a headlight restoration kit.
I would not get anything from Mishimoto. They're just rebranded eBay products that try to put themselves as a high quality performance parts dealer, when you can get the same parts for much cheaper from no name brands.
For example, Amazon

My takes:
Installing it is easy enough, I didn’t have to take the back bumper to switch out the reflector lights. Fitment can be finicky though, my right one fitment is solid but the left one came a bit smaller so just be aware. For wiring it came with instructions (white wire to tail light positive, red on brake light positive, and black wire which is the ground to any negative). For more Q’s about this, dont hesitate to DM.
First photo looks like they removed some of the clear coat.
As for the scratches, you can use Meguiars Ultimate Compound to remove them.
Absolutely! I used a 4mm thick acrylic plate, but a 2mm will work fine, I added some pictures of the devices adapted on the cigarette lighter plug to power the charger.
The belkin charger was connect behind the panel, one of the USB ports was designed for the wireless charger, the other one I extended to the arm rest box (last picture)
I have the Weathertech floor liners in mine. Husky and OEM are other options. For the side markers I bought smoked one's off Amazon. I think most states the side markers just half to be reflective and visible from 500ft. There are also some LED one's that will work with your turn signal but require a fuse tap. Lots of options.
I went with the Procivic wind visors on mine. There's a Mugen type as well. Just depends on what you want to spend on what look. I'm happy with the Procivics.

I can post what the back looks like tonight if you want to see my tail lights. They’re tinted but they’re aftermarket. For cheap cosmetic mods you could replace the interior lights with LED especially the trunk because that light sucks. You could change out those carpet mats to all season mats.. I got mine from Hondapartsguys. The Suma mirrors are also helpful because I had a hard time seeing cars in my old side mirrors :/... I also have these: Door guard
They're just halo rings that I 3m taped to the fog light housing since it had a cut out for fog lights. More for looks

Should’ve checked Amazon. That’s where I got mine and they are great, it’s LED with turn signal but those look pretty good. Check it out.

Be careful tinting the taillights, I wouldn’t recommend it, as it’s a hazard for other drivers who can’t see when you brake due to your tint being too dark. If your doing a light tint, then go for it, but it’s not recommended. But here’s the spray for it, it’s on Amazon. Super sturdy, extremely secured and rigid, and has a quick release button. All the reviews on amazon speak for themselves. My girlfriend recently stole this phone mount holder from me so I had to buy another one haha

Microfiber two bucket is a great start. High suds/foam helps lift dirt up and off/away from the paint while washing. I'd also suggest a water blade to squeegee most of the water off when you're done washing. And/or a blower of some sort. I use my leaf blower lol. Then a good detail spray while you're drying.
If you're willing to spend ~$50 for a gallon of detail spray I'd suggest this:
https://www.amazon.com/Technicians-Choice-TEC582-Ceramic-Detail/dp/B07N8GBHTS
It ends up being much more economical than buying stuff from a parts store in 16-22 oz bottles. Feel free to spray it on everything; paint, trim, glass etc. Not harmful and will give a good temporary protection. It does remarkable things with little effort.
I use it for clay lubricant, after wash detail spray, between wash wipe downs, and even for my final step on interior windows. Doing the inside of the windows really shows how quickly this stuff makes a surface buttery smooth. Makes cleaning the windows easier thereafter also.
Thank you so much I just ordered these 2 items ill let you know how they are https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081YBKGSG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2kDrFbM582Z91 And https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X98L4Y2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_emDrFbATCKNX8 And yeah I completely forgot too , I shouldve definitely took some pictures but ill do a before and after on the side markers and the other lights
If you are a Meguiars fan, give this stuff a try. Super easy application and really make your tires pop.
There is a certain about of sling though. But the shine it brings to your tires can't be beat.
Works great! Just wipe it down beforehand so the surface is clean. I use this stuff.
Also the front emblem “nubs” break pretty frequently but its still usable, no one has time to pop the grill off every time they swap emblems lol
Thanks! They’re DEPO clear sidemarkers I found on eBay for about $20, they came with amber bulbs but I replaced them with these led bulbs I got at my local O’Reilly’s:)
Bought 9/1, came today. Fit was good, no issues. Definitely watch some videos.
Also, when you are taking the grill out, there are tabs at the top as well. None of the videos showed them, so I ended up breaking one. No big deal, there are about 6 in 24".
Mirrorlink is when you connect your phone to your vehicle over USB. There are certain apps that would then display on your vehicles head unit but is powered through your phone. An example of a Mirrorlink app for android is Sygic (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sygic.incar). I use this for navigation in my civic since it didnt come with the nav package.
I have this Spigen one. It was the only one I found with enough adjustability for the angle of the windshield. The magnetic part is adjustable too for viewing angle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Y2DK4XY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Might be worth looking through the civicxi forums for suggestions
I got this recently and I've been pretty happy with it at its price <$15 point. It sits on top of the left vent so it doesn't block any of the vents or screen. Magnets are really good imo and it's small enough that it's not distracting at all. It does squeak a little bit because it doesn't sit perfectly flat on the dash but it only happens when you attempt to change the angle of the mount so it's negligible. It's also only been 3 days since installation so maybe it will lose its squeak eventually.
I didn't want to put anything on the windshield and the vent mounts I've tried either obstruct the vent grills, interior dash controls, infotainment screen, or sits way too far out to the right to be useful (if it matters, I'm a lefty so having it on the left works in my favor). Basically, I gave up on the idea of vent mounts.
If you want a design that perfectly fits the new gen, check out the phone mounts from ProClip USA (they're $$$$ though).
I love the 11th gen but it sucks not being able to use previous accessories based on the traditional vents.
Save your fingers, buy this tool.
Also if you run into any clearance issues, they sell more rigid exhaust hangers. They pair well with a Hasport RMM, which will help stiffen up your engine and your exhaust at the cost of higher cabin vibration.
If you have jack and jack stands, not that difficult. find a fuse in your hood fuse box that turns on when you start the car. buy one of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QJHXRN6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details hook up to your underbody LED light.
Technically, yes, but it is a very quick and easy process to flash your car back to stock. From what I know, they can somehow see if it has been tuned but it isn't something they check unless they have a good reason to? I remember a Honda tech on a forum saying that, not sure if it's true though.
Personally, though I've taken it into the dealership 5+ times (even some with the tune on) and as long as the issue isn't something with the transmission/engine that they can blame the tune on, you'll be fine.
As for cosmetic, get some aftermarket side markers. There's a huge variety available, and it's as easy as unscrewing two plastic screws from your fender liner, pressing a tab with a screwdriver, and unplugging the OEM ones, then repeating those steps in reverse with the aftermarket ones. I have these (https://www.amazon.com/USR-UNIQUE-STYLE-RACING-markers-911/dp/B09F7PHVMD) and love them.
You could also always pick up a cheap amazon or ebay lip. I prefer cheaper ones because they're bound to get damaged somehow especially if you're lowered.
Some other cheap cosmetic mods I see are window visors, headlight/foglight tint (usually yellow for a JDM aesthetic), chrome removal (window trim/grill depending on the model), and switching out badges for different colors or just removing them altogether.
Yep, I got “EKR Custom Car Seat Covers for Select Honda Civic Sedan,LX 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 - Leatherette (Black with Red Trim)” just to cover the atrocious stains the accumulate on the OEM tan cloth ones
Wasn't there a recall about the peeling paint for that gen?
>For Civics, for instance, bulletin number 12-049 covers just the hood and top of the front fenders on 2006 to 2010 Civics that came in one of nine specified colors (four shades of blue, two shades of black, and three in gray or silver), and 2011 Civics of any color. Another TSB, 13-060, covers the roof and trunk of the same cars in any of the nine colors. Finally, TSB 13-004 applies to just the trunk lid of 2009 to 2011 Civics sold in 25 northern states, excluding the Pacific Northwest.
Some models are past the recall but hope this helps.
Honestly either wrap it or go invest in some “chip guard” or “stone guard” which is clear vinyl. You’ll see on almost every Toyota or Lexus they come from the factory with a lot of stone guards on the front bumper, fenders, hood, mirrors. It can get very expensive tho. Most tint shops will do it but like I said to get the front end wrapped might cost $500-800 or you could buy the precut ones online. They’re just really hard to get on and get perfect. Honda paint is some of the thinnest paint on the market straight off the assembly line. This is the stuff I bought. Haven’t got around to trying to put it on yet. https://www.amazon.com/VViViD-Paint-Protection-Clear-Healing/dp/B017IZXI8K?pd_rd_w=W8UMX&content-id=amzn1.sym.06bb3028-2b73-4281-a97e-9a56936e1b90&pf_rd_p=06bb3028-2b73-4281-a97e-9a56936e1b90&pf_rd_r=C9MSS1EVY966TR11CDZ3&pd_rd_wg=l...

It's worth noting that I have the CVT hatch so this one fits that. There's still room underneath to store more things which is nice.
I purchased mine from Amazon for map, dome, and trunk. No issues so far after a year of ownership in a hot climate. Kind of a gamble because I've been burned by cheap LEDs before though these have held up. YMMV. Nice and bright, too, thought I'm not exactly happy with their dome light brightness.
The license plate light should be LED from the factory but the bulb isn't serviceable, same with the DRLs. You'd have to get that whole housing replaced should it go out.
11th Gen is just as bad. I picked up this:

It's doable for a DIY person as you do not need to support the engine and transmission. However, there are spot welds that help keep the support in place as well as bolts. You will need to drill out the welds to remove the old frame.
Special drill bits like these are commonly used to removed thr welds.
You could fill a fabric bag full of cat litter or desiccant and place it on the dash to help absorb the moisture in the car.

Buy yourself a pack and never have to worry about getting mote in the future. Nearly all Honda vehicles use the same size crush washer for the oil pan drain bolt.
I recommend Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating.
What the Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and any other rubbing compound does is remove a thin layer of material, which in this case is the clear coat of your paint by using very fine abrasive particles. Similar to how toothpaste works to clean your teeth.
This is why it is important to apply a wax or protective coating after using a rubbing compound because some of the clear coat is removed.
However, if the scratch is so deep that it has reached the base coat (the color of your vehicle) or even to the bare metal, then the rubbing compound will not remove the scratch. At this point, you would need the area sanded and repainted.
Use a compound, such as, Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and then make sure to apply a wax over the area.
You could try this product. I only have my phone plugged into it, but it goes straight into the USB port that leads to the infotainment console. I do not know whether it will prioritize which port first concerning ApplePlay/Android Auto, but I guess you can try plugging one phone first i.e. whoever is driving
I would put PPF on the front bumper and the front section of the hood. I would not bother ceramic coating the car as there are hybrid products such as Turtle Wax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating that do a similar job for a fraction of the price. The downside is that you would have to apply the hybrid product more often.
However, at the end of the day, non of these products will protect against a dent or a hard impact.
These headlamps are made by DEPO. I bought them on eBay a few years ago, but I think they're out of stock now. Here's an Amazon link
I paired them with LED bulbs for the white tint instead of using the provided halogens. To be honest, there isn't that much difference in visibility compared to clean OEM lights.
Are these not the standard Valeo fog lights that like half of cars with foglights use? Not familiar with this generation of civic specifically but they sure look the same as the ones on my Fiesta and RAV4.

If you're going to drive your car often, ceramic coating would be a waste of money. It does not protect against chipping, scratches, or scuffs. Ceramic coating is just a more durable wax coating and there are products on the market that would do a similar job.
For example: Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating
This stuff performs nearly the same as ceramic coating, except you'll have to apply more often as if it were a wax product.

The proper way to bleed the coolant system is to use a Coolant Funnel Kit. Doing what you described, leaving the radiator cap is going to cause coolant to overflow and spill everywhere.
