it was an actual preorder bonus. akin to how halo reach gave you that statue and all those lore books or halo 3 gave you that master chief helmet with the game inside or halo 2 that collectible tin and alternative instruction manual from the covenant's view.
Man, people in this sub can be massively unhelpful. For those wondering:
>What is "sage"?
>Entering "sage" (by itself) into the [Options] field while replying will cause the thread not to bump to the top of the page. Contrary to popular belief, a sage is not a downvote, and should not be used as one. "sage-bombing" or announcing that you've saged a thread may result in a ban.
From: https://www.4chan.org/faq#sage
Basically, it's a way of replying to a thread without "bumping" it, or making it stay active longer. People do this to threads they don't want to stick around.
I searched it up and the first thread on it said;
>Records show that he was found with CP, records show, and the records show that the recorded show, was put on record, records show.
https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Talk:Richard_Stallman
The story goes that Richard Stallman wrote in to some radio show with this quote, which is parodied in the thread from OP:
> I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
Maybe this is for you: The longest joke in the world
I made an epub out of it, too.
>Also, remember the time when Apple removed the "time remaining" feature on laptops because people were complaining about battery life being shorter on newer models?
http://osxdaily.com/2016/12/13/see-battery-life-remaining-macos-sierra/
>Or the way Apple intentionally made their laptops harder to upgrade?
What makes you think that was their intention? And how much can you upgrade your laptop?
>Good luck using them with the newest iPhone. Oh, you can get an adapter for that and plug it into the LightningTM port?
So actual amount of luck needed to use your headphones = 0%?
>Oh, you bought Apple's AirportTM wireless station for your Mac laptop and Windows PC, but now your laptop's broken?
How about you just don't buy one of them?
Okay so apparently the actual most expensive plate set on Amazon is a Lenox Westchester 5-piece set banded in goddamn motherfucking gold for $326.
Get Reddit Sync for mobile. The zoom works perfectly. And it has a billion other features than whenever someone is complaining about "being on mobile" I think to myself, "Huh, glad Sync allows me to do that."
Why is this even necessary? Why remove an OS feature people found useful just to make it less obvious that battery life had gotten worse?
>What makes you think that was their intention?
Force people to replace their entire laptop more often.
>And how much can you upgrade your laptop?
In most non-Apple laptops you can replace the HDD/SSD and RAM, each of which can extend the life of your laptops. I believe the low-grade 2016 model can replace its HDD/SSD, but not any of the others. For instance, I've been using a laptop since 2009 and the only thing that ever wore out was its HDD, which I replaced for a 128GB SSD I had lying around. Essentially a free repair and upgrade. I also upgraded the RAM from 4GB to 8GB in 2013.
>So actual amount of luck needed to use your headphones = 0%?
Good luck if you forget your adapter and headphones and want to borrow a friend's.
>How about you just don't buy one of them?
OK, I'll admit to just heaping shit on Apple at that point. Apple's caused me a lot of trouble when helping friends and family with tech issues, issues that would have never occurred if they weren't using Apple hardware. That said, many people in the Apple ecosystem blindly buy Apple products like that and don't realise the trouble they'll get themselves into if they ever decide to move away from Apple products.
I don't think there's any legal things you can do, because they've done this with other sites before (see: https://thepiratebay.org) which sucks
Basically just see if they're going to give you a shitty excuse and/or avoid answering why you can't connect to it, or if they're going to give you a statement on the whole thing.
So I was trying to dig up the old torrents I used a few years back. I had to install every DLC and Item Pack separately and jury rig the cracks so they all worked together. But it looks like a friendly pirate has made life far easier for everyone and made a superbundle of the entire game. I will include a link to the torrent's page HERE which includes the torrent itself plus installation instructions. I can confirm this torrent is safe, I downloaded and tried it myself upon discovery.
If the above link does not work, go to The Pirate Bay and simply search "The Sims 3" and look for the torrent titled "The Sims 3 - Complete Collection All sp+ep 2014 repack Mr DJ." Enjoy!
My point is that it doesn't make sense to me why somebody would buy a 4 year old used Macbook if it's still 2/3 the original price. Nothing keeps its value like that. Forget computers and hardware, not even fucking designer furniture. Why would Macbooks, which are computers and hardware and thus decrease in usability as it ages, hold its price better than designer furniture? That doesn't make sense. You're saying that the market for a cheap Macbook is so great that consumers pay loads of money to get what is essentially outdated computers at a premium price? That doesn't make any sense. Apple would've cashed in on that opportunity long time ago if that was the case.
Yeah, I get wanting to buy a 2 years old used Macbook for like 60% of the original price, but 4 years old for that price? That's a better deal than used designer furniture and I simply refuse to believe that given that designer furniture never gets outdated.
But maybe I'm wrong and people are just that gullible.
> Believe me, I'd love to buy a white box computer for 1/2 the price of a Mac but I'd never do it unless I could run Mac OS without compromise.
Is Linux not an option then? Do you need specific Mac only programs? If not, Elementary OS could be worthwhile.
