but in the end you get what you pay for non annealed china glass, her tube is small is enough to convert with an adapter imho. adapter plus banger from dhgate maybe 20-30$ torch 40 at bb&b. i would honestly buy a big shot on amazoninstead. im not a fan of the bb&b torches the pizo ignitor ALWAYS fails after about 9 months causing you to have to return and get a new one id rather have something last 4-6years. i have had my blazer gb2001 for 8 years now still lights everytime.
Melamine sponges work wonders on the crusty ring.
Edit: do this when its cool. Inserts help keep the bottom of your banger in excellent condition and rotate out clean inserts.
My last suggestion is to buy yourself some DC glass cleaner, Dark Crystal. Supposed to clean your banger to sparkling new with zero work. Just soaking.

Good reviews as well. Never used it myself but people swear by it.
This is the coil I ordered off amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0177DETRC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And yes, I am using the slim base. I am also using the dnail carb cap
Etekcity Lasergrip 1080 Non-contact Digital Laser Infrared Thermometer Temperature Gun -58℉~1022℉ (-50℃~550℃), Yellow and Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DMI632G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_3P14AbZ9RCK9B This is the one I've used for over a year for my dab setup and it works flawlessly. $17 on Amazon, elegible for prime
How are you going to hold the female end in place for you to plug your coil in?
I'd use a DMX panel mount and wire that up instead.
Okay cool that's good to know, thanks. I'm debating between these two but I haven't really made up my mind yet as I'm not sure if theres a huge difference, and if there isn't and it's really just up to personal preference then I'll decide based on the final design I'm going to go with

Look into a power tool battery plus inverter. I don't know what form factor you are looking for, so look at the ones from different brands and see if any fit your needs.
I have a milwaukee brand one that I use for my flowerpot and have used it for my enail.
I'd reccomended a cheap apache case from Harbor Freight and a stand for your enail to let it cool down before packing it up.
It's a common power cable. Wrap it with some electrical tape and move on or go find one of these cables in the junk drawer. Do not spend ten dollars on one, that's a rip off.

Here is a picture of my setup.
So if I understand you correct...the ground slot on the female xlr (pin 5) should be wired to the middle connector on that 3 prong power switch?
Thanks so much for the correction!
ahhh super cool you're going to love it. Glad to see that stuff in stock, I recently bought the 30mm deep dish coil and an auber and I love it. I have been using some quartz inserts with that and it's pretty much exactly what I had been hoping for.
The silicone ring/clip that comes with your coil will be perfect, no need for anything else.
For a carb cap, there are loads of options and it comes down to preference. I like a ball cap with a vortex-style bottom, like this:
or
I'm not sure what you'd upgrade to beyond something like a vrod setup
Plug HS103P4, Smart Home Wi-Fi Outlet Compatible with Alexa, Echo, Google Home & IFTTT, No Hub Required, Remote Control, 15 Amp, UL Certified,4-Pack, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RCNB2L3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_V0G9RC4ATBNDZQF5D4V1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is the type plug you need...it will connect to your wi-fi through the SmartHome app, which you can use to turn them on/off. You can use your phone entirely (including the Amazon Alexa app) or you can get an Amazon Alexa/Google Home device and it will allow you to control things via voice. (So will the Alexa app on your phone, but not as easily/quickly as speaking directly to a voice-ready device.)
Happy to answer anything else if you need. Cheers. Let me know how it works for you!
You need a voltage converter, something like this
I think that's a bowl that is attached. I'm wondering about the thing on the right. The nail thing goes upside down inside the slanted piece. But where does the product go? Can you direst me to a vid or something please.
Also I posted here because I would like to buy this small glass and adapt it so I can add a quartz banger and an enail. I'm brand new to this mode so please be gentle
Edit: was going to try to get this https://smile.amazon.com/temperature-Controller-container-Suitable-titanium/dp/B08J7VGCN4 too
I've never seen that before? It says it's a cleaning tool? Does it have a sponge on it or anything? $70 is a bit spendy, the tool end isn't to special. https://www.amazon.com/HTS-154S5-Stainless-Spatula-Sculpting/dp/B01C7X7D3E/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=5+pcs+chisel+tool&qid=1620047362&sr=8-3 I use these tools and until recent just qtips and isopropyl. The dab sponge is like $20 so for $30ish dollars you can have a cool cleaning tool and 5 nice big tools
i would just buy a simple power inverter so you can plug it in. looking on amazon, you can get a 300 watt, 12v to 110v converter for $27.
inverter
Actually there’s this cool silicone and glass carb cap I saw on amazon that would work well for that banger.
Also I’ve seen people use ones like this little ducky
I personally love this controller:
Auber RDK-300B PID Temperature Controller, 2nd Generation Deluxe, 5Pin XLR https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SJ8YJZS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_8fh6FbDMRWZ6W
Not sure about what coil to recommend that you can get from Amazon. I can attest to 710 Coils being great, though.
For the RDK-300? Sometimes they go on sale on big sale days (Black Friday, 420, etc). Usually $10 off and/or free shipping. Can also be had from Amazon for $130 and free shipping.
Amazon has plenty of large diameter and thick walled heat shrink tubing. Some with and some without adhesive backing.

I think they typically use minerals spirits. But I could definitely see it over representing temp. due to stored energy. I've heard a few people suggest them in place of a regular thermometer port for short path distillation. But that might have been for getting a better seal (with a ground joint thermowell) instead of a plastic seal for a thermometer port, instead of more accurate temperature readings.
I believe the surface area has something to do with it. Those are just the styles I've seen reccomended for surface temperature readings. The thermo-probe you posted can really only measure what it's touching. So it might get contact with the quartz at the tip (which looks rounded, decreasing contact even more) or maybe the length of 1 side depending upon how it's placed in the banger. The whole rest of the probe is only actually measuring the air around it, which for this purpose is probably representative enough. But the others I linked have a flat and thin tip so it can have more surface area in contact with the actual surface you'll be dabbing off of.
I'm not sure if it's worth the potential small difference in readings or the difference in cost. I was just doing some light reading about thermo-probes and that style kept coming up for surface temperature readings and then found some that weren't $80/per on Amazon. So I figured giving you an example of the type that is used for lab and industrial uses might help you design something purpose built.
this one? you would need a dab tool (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C7X7D3E/ give them a good alcohol cleaning).
and i mean you could get a ~140$ american rig ;p
Moderately. Several Alexa devices, IFTTT, and some custom work. I am a little leery of having too many IoT devices. Each has a local backup of some sort and all are isolated on an independent WiFi network. I also separate them amongst different brands.

That particular one is LITedge
I picked this up & checked off a few personal requirements in 1 device: IR, Voltage tester & runs on 2 AAA batteries, so I'm never stuck waiting for a battery to charge, which is major IMO.
It's IP54 resistant, as well, which is an added bonus when the batteries are actually still removable.. unlike most of today's Planned Obsolescence ridden mobile phones.
$149?
Etekcity Lasergrip 1080 Non-contact Digital Laser Infrared Thermometer Temperature Gun -58℉~1022℉ (-50℃~550℃), Yellow and Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DMI632G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_3P14AbZ9RCK9B
I just realized this doesn't have the probe, but why is that necessary?
Oh I scrape it all; it's room temp iso 99% that's been used and abused so it's not clean that I clean it in.
I should explain better; I start by warming up my nail to around 340degree's so I can remove the lug nut while it's still warm the the oils are .. using an Ove Glove I remove the heater coil while holding the sic dish in the ove glove hand and then put the slim nail back together and use a dab tool to pop the lug nut and the dish apart (only if it's that stuck; normally it isn't a problem for me).
After that I toss it in the ISO it's still warm maybe 120 degrees.
Pipe cleaners work but what works and is re-useable is a bottle cleaning set.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008HMF9LS/
The long small one fits inside the lug nut and is perfect for scraping the insides with. It's not too abrasive but it works!
Then you take that same surface around the whole lug nut and then you hit the top of it and then scrape it and then hit it again with the bottle scrubber it won't come perfectly clean.
So when you re-assemble take your fork and finish the rest of the debris after you rinsed the alcohol off of it. Then once your happy take a damp q-tip to remove the gunk put it back together.
It's a quick chore; I spend about 30-45minutes cleaning my glass rig and nail every other day. But I love my clean dabs ;)
Just came across the Anker Powerhouse too. It's likely too big and expensive unless you go camping but it's only 10lbs which is really light for what it is.
I'm using a Gimido e-nail successfully with this battery pack. I have the 24,000mah one so that should work too. Since it maxes out at 85W it'll just heat slightly slower, keeping the e-nail on at 600F kept it going for nearly 3 hours before the battery died.
If you build it yourself, makes sure to get high drain batteries, something like the LG HG2 3000mah would probably be good.
well you would just keep the whole thing 12v and just supply a power brick adapter like this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IK8ETNI?psc=1 so it will convert home wall power to 12v DC while at home. So basically if you intend to make it mobile keep it 12v dc and no inverter means that there is less draw on the battery as well making it "safer" for the car 's electrical system which is probably only rated to maybe 10A max.
Edit: At least thats my $.02 and what I've found when I pursued building a dual purpose home/mobile rig

This one is great, I use it to turn on my E-Nail and NES, has variable timed shutoff, and an awesome wireless remote
Thanks for the rec, this z series 10A looks perfect and is covered by the lifetime warranty.
