I would turn off the phone, take out the SIM, turn it on outside the range of his home WiFi, then uninstall.
Or
Move the app into a 'work mode' type sandbox, there are apps which can do that to limit its access to the rest of the system. Like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.typeblog.shelter
Actually you can run adblockers on phones if you root your phone. I think there are specialized browsers you can use too. As for blocking ads on TVs. You can block the domains manually(found this guide after a quick search), or you can use pihole.
If your phone is android then see if you can move files to sd card that's not important to stay on the phone

I wouldn't say that's extremely infuriating, but that's coming for someone who never clicks on ads whether they interest me or not. Haven't found an ad interesting enough to click or even try to remember, usually just ignore them or dislike whatever is advertised because I had to sit through an ad. That's one reason why I'll never play Raid Shadow Legends and stick to ProtonVPN instead of NordVPN.
use a vpn and a privacy guard when using it. Boom problem solved. Good VPN: NordVPN. Good Privacy guard: honestly just using tor to access the website. Tor doesn't keep any tracking information on you and doesn't allow any sites to actually collect information. So even if they make you click "ok" it'll be okay because there's nothing they can take.

I have the cure to your problem.
I now bestow the power of adblocker to you. Just be careful when using this because this can harm innocent channels too.

Sorry it took so long, I had to go into work before I got the chance to send the link. It's a little pricy, but if it's just him eating it then it should last.
