>NewGAN is the game changer like for real. They should just pay those guys, optimize it and implement to the game.
It's unfortunately not that simple, NewGAN's faces are made with the technology that powers https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/ which is owned and licensed by Nvidia (Called StyleGAN2, hence the GAN in "NewGAN"). That's why the NewGAN facepack must always be free, otherwise, Nvidia has every right to instantly terminate it as it's against the agreed license. This also means that unless SI wants to pay a large sum of money to Nvidia to use their technology, it's probably never going to be in the game.

Edit: News just in!
> As a ‘thank-you’ to loyal fans of the series we’ve worked with our friends at Valve to offer a Steam-only discount of 5% off for every Football Manager game owned on PC, Mac or Linux dating back to Football Manager 2013. This means there’s a possible 20% available to fans who own the last 4 versions of the game!

It won't fix the colors too much, but you might want to look up f.lux anyway. It helps with the brightness at night by tinting the screen. It's free, and you barely notice it (until you turn it off and realize the difference)
There's a split in Glasgow between Protestants and Catholics normally represented in footballing terms by Rangers and Celtic respectively.
The name Billy is short for William, is typically a Protestant name and Rangers fans on occasion call themselves / sing about 'Billy Boys', an old gang dating back to a gang in the 30s (more here: http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Billy_Boys)
As you're probably aware the Pope is the head of the Catholic church.
So Billy Pope is a slightly conflicting name to have.
Hope that helps.
The home nations opted out of this rule.
Basically this is a similar situation to Januzaj, who despite all the media furore was not eligible to play for England, and never would be (without a change to the rules).
The home nations agreement is slightly different:
a) He was born on the territory of the relevant Association; b) His biological mother or biological father was born on the territory of the relevant Association; c) His grandmother or grandfather was born on the territory of the relevant Association; d) He has engaged in a minimum of five years education under the age of 18 within the territory of the relevant association.
A good explantion on the Januzaj situation here
TL;DR: Nope - not eligible if football manager has implemented the rules properly
>More Realistic Injuries
>Sports Interactive has worked alongside a number of physiotherapists, doctors and related organisations to ensure that the depiction and treatment of injuries in Football Manager 2016 is more realistic than ever before. This doesn’t mean that fewer injuries will be sustained, but that those which do occur will be treated and develop more realistically. Injuries will now be determined during matches, while new injury types have been added and there is now a tangible distinction between player condition and match sharpness.

>"Jumping Reach reflects how good a player is at reaching the ball in the air. It indicates the highest point an outfield player can reach with his head. It is not necessarily reflective of how tall a player is, but when considering his jumping ability, it makes sense to take into account the player’s height. For example, a player of 200+cm will still possess a high reach even if he is a poor jumper, and a player who measures in at 170cm will struggle to compete at the same height due to the 30cm difference in height between the two."
You'll firstly need an Amiga Emulator (if you don't already have one). You can get one here.
Then you need to download the three roms (one for each disk). Disk one can be found here, along with links to the other two.
Hope that helps!
If you are looking for when it actually goes live they will probably push an update and test it before pushing it. So expect an update to the depo ill link below and then an hour or 2 later it will be live.

Here you go. It’s actually $35 but it’s still worth it. I’ve used it almost everyday. You’ll need a usb port I don’t know how old your mac is. You could get a usb-to-thunderbolt converter if you don’t have one already
I want to see the newgen's faces.
There's always such a contract between the actual photos from face packs and the game's newgens. If they used something like thispersondoesnotexist, they could have newgens who looked like they could be actual people.
My longest losing streak is only 4, but my longest streak without winning was 16 last season, which had pretty much the same effect on team morale.
Usual caveats apply - hold a team meeting, acknowledge the underachievement, try and get the players back on board.
Switch tactics if you haven't already, sometimes even creating a new one can change your fortunes.
I also like to set up tomato can friendlies. Squeeze in as many as you can - it'll destroy your team's stamina and match fitness, but at this point a morale boost is more important. A couple of 10-0 victories over Hayes Gate can be surprisingly useful.
you'll have to wait till November at the very least in that case, maybe October for the Demo..

Well 2016 requires a better system than 2015 but if your system can handle both requirements, 2016 has better optimization probably.
You can check it from here http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
Good luck.
Lightworks works on Mac. It seems the Mac has an built in video recoder (More info here). But if OBS works then go with it since it has a bit more options. Audacity also works for Mac.
Good microphones cost a bit. If you will use a cheap microphone or the built in microphone, it will pick up a lot fhte background noise. You will have to scream into it, etc. Basically really poor quality.
In terms of the video, recording with frames droping will result in a bad experience for the viewer.
Also you need to play with FM on 720p or either 1080p since these are the resolutions which YouTube videos are at. Better start off with 720p since its faster to render and it wont slowdown your laptop that much.
http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
My laptop isn't great for playing games on it (HP Pavillion G6) and it says FM14 doesn't work on mine, but it does. The laptop gets hot and sometimes overheats. My laptop has everything required except I only have 64mb dedicated video RAM and 128mb is required, that's probably why.
Basically what I'm saying is, this site is good as a guide. If it says it won't run on your laptop, don't let that be the final decision, see why it's saying it won't work and go from there.

Football Manager Touch is what you're after. It offers a more streamlined experience, less things to worry about etc. You will need a 'high-end' tablet.
Compatibility list here:
http://www.footballmanager.com/games/football-manager-touch-2016#compatibility
Otherwise there's FM16 Mobile, which is even more streamlined and simple
AH! I think this is actually by design for FM13 Classic Mode. Check out the following page in the manual: >Focus on tactics and transfers and make quicker progress through your career, making your free time truly count. > >You'll find that some areas of Football Manager are 'missing' from Football Manager Classic. This is entirely by design and intended to refine the game experience to the things that matter most.
Now I'm totally going on speculation here, but I imagine that you get to hire the Chief Scout, and then he gets to hire the remaining scouting support staff.
One thing you could try is to check your Staff Responsibilities settings... you may be able to change the setting for who hires your staff. You'll see one option for "Chief Scout" and another for "All other staff". Set yourself for "All other staff" and see if you can offer the position after.
You'll find this on your Team > Staff > Responsibilities.
Really quickly made screenshot
Let me know :-) I'm at work so I can't fire the game up to check!
ah, sorry friend, watched it again and without the rage tinted glasses i see it wasn't as i thought, turns out my player did foul someone, although that's what the engine says, the foul was not at all obvious to me
still looks weird tho, here you go if you want a look, the 2nd disallowed goal
Check out this one in Amazon USA which will cost $15.
If you're looking for this old version so badly, then be prepared for little cost since you're outside UK.
Sorry for the extra delay, but I have two links for you.
This is what I use as a general filter guide when scouting for youths. I set some/all of the listed values as the filter, and decrease specific attributes as needed to get a decent pool.
Additionally, I have this (excel spreadsheet) as a role calculator. As mentioned above, sometimes when you lose a player your whole tactic needs to be tweaked, and I use that spreadsheet to aid in figuring out exactly what role a player should be played in. I never use that spreadsheet as a "bible," but it does help with general positioning and figuring out exactly what tweaks I'm going to make with the sliders.
EDIT: I've never used dropbox before, so if those links don't work, anyone who would like either document can PM me and I'll email them out.
Karacan and Morrison have always played well above their rating for me in all FMs if you play them as B2B and Ball Playing Defender respectively. How much did you play for barbosa and are you trying any of the youth players that were already there?

I can understand your rage, I really can. But take a quick look at the stats from the ManU vs. Crystal Palace game last weekend...
http://tinypic.com/r/2po7ebm/8
Not a million miles away from what happened in your game. Ended up needing a split second of brilliance from Mata aided by a deflection.
From an FM perspective, Hull are gonna be like "woah shit, United at OT, we're parking 7 buses" making them god annoying to break down (like Palace). The suggestions made by silvv are a good starting point. Trying to spank teams sometimes makes you worse off as they sit deep and absorb the pressure making you even more frustrated as you know your team are tons better technically.

I've used this site multiple times without issues. Occasionally they're a little slow restocking stuff but I've never had a problem.
Here is a video by SpiffySquee, an RPG Let's Player I like on YouTube, where he talks about OBS, Open Broadcaster Software, which is a free, open-source program for livestreaming or performing local recordings on your hard drive.
You can use this to record it, then use something simple like iMovie on Mac or Windows Movie Maker or whatever it's called when you're ready to edit your recording when it's made.
That's the simplest, most painless way to do it for a beginner, though if you want to self-teach or look online for tutorials, there are more advanced recording softwares and editing software available.
More advanced recording softwares can include Dxtory, Fraps, Camtasia, ScreenFlow (Mac), and more.
Actual non-linear editing softwares can include Windows Movie Maker, iMovie (Mac), Sony Vegas, Adobe's Premier Pro, Apple's Final Cut Pro, and so forth.
I personally use a Mac, and I do all my recordings (when I DO make recordings, which is infrequently) in Screenflow, which has a basic, but completely sufficient editor built into the recorder. It's very simple and easy to use, as I can record my screen and then an editing window opens as soon as I hit "Stop Recording".
But, all these softwares are a bit more advanced to use and all cost money. So, at first, keep it simple and use OBS and Windows Movie Maker or iMovie, which are both installed by default on your Windows or Mac computer, respectively.
When you get comfortable with recording and editing and are comfortable putting money into programs for better features or specific tasks, feel free to do so, but as a basic beginner, OBS and a consumer-level editor like Movie Maker or iMovie.
I could never do a Malta game because I'd spend the entire time listening to this song on loop (lyrics are the best).
Congrats on the feat!
Make an account on https://www.mediafire.com/ and it upload it there. Click on the file after you've downloaded it and it should open a new tab on the download page. Just copy and paste the URL from that and you should be good to go.
Here's my tactic. Put it in the tactics folder and them import it.
The 4-3-3 is the main one, I use the 4-2-3-1 sometimes when I need to use wingers instead of IF. But now I usually just have the roles change automatically if a player is put on his opposite side. I change the midfield every so often to experiment and keep it fresh. I've tried variations of CM(A)/RP(S)/DLP(D), but my fav is the current one. AP(A), RPM(S) and a DLP(D).
I run my players into the ground. If they're good enough they play. So often I keep the same players for 8-12 years.
For OS X, it needs to be placed in:
USERNAME \ Library \ Application Support \ Steam \ SteamApps \ Common \ Football Manager 2015 \ Data \ db \ 1530

From what I remember, they source all the images from this website. On the website itself, there are links to videos on how it all works, but yes, essentially they are AI created real looking faces. It's pretty nuts.
Use Virtual Box, the version for Windows.
You should have an ISO with windows in order to install it in Virtual Box. Let me know if you have any other questions.
I've been playing since the beginning (Championship Manager - I think it was about 1991 or 92 on the Amiga). Great memories of playing earlier versions. Of course, they were a lot less detailed than nowadays but they were still very, very addictive and immersive. I'm pretty sure one of the earlier versions had voice commentary by John Motson.
Currently playing FM11. To be honest I don't enjoy it as much as I used to. Not sure if it's an age thing or there's just to much info for me to deal with.
EDIT: Even before CM/FM I loved Kenny Dalglish Soccer Manager on the ZX Spectrum.
I'd like to know the same, I always buy from GMG but this year they were not on the official list on the announcement from SiGames (http://www.footballmanager.com/FM16-pre-order-offer) so I'm hesitating a bit.
U18 coaches cannot train first team players. First team assistant manager, goalkeeper and fitness coaches can train U18/U21 players, but other first team coaches cannot. U18/U21 assistant managers can train first team players, I believe.
You hire first team coaches with good Works with Youngster ratings so that they can train your younger first team players, not for any other players.
I double checked the web manual, which was useless. http://www.footballmanager.com/manual/40-manager-menuthe-sidebar/46-training

Look, I'm not being a dick... But have you Googled the words "Football Manager Tutorial"?
If you do so, you'll find links to (amongst others):
They ought to help...
I’ve been using Pop OS since around April this year moving from Mint.
There you go. Installed steam and then found a setting within that enables proton to be able to play other titles that usually run on windows.
Not sure how stable it is but I’m happy I got the thing loaded lol
Ok so first you're asking us if hes a wonderkid? Yet you only show us his attributes, not his personal details?
Second please download something like Gyazo its an auto uploading screenshot tool so we can actually have a nice quality screenshot to look at instead of something that looks like it was taken in 2005.
Was that nice enough for you?
I use lightshot, which gives you a link like this: http://prntscr.com/6dmpd9 .
The image itself is hosted on imgur though so you just have to copy the image url which makes it convenient for Reddit.
According to Quora, if one team has fewer available players than another, the team with more players gets to decide which of their players won't take a kick. So it would be a disadvantage to fake injuries, as the other team would be able to skip their goalkeeper and other weak penalty takers.
Not sure a) if this is actually true, and b) how this is modeled in FM.
Why do you need it though?
There's a program called FM Genie Scout to access your current save game. Using this is considered cheating, though, as it can view hidden attributes, hidden potential ability, and asking price (although asking price is always wrong in my experience).
There's also an official Android app by SEGA called FMdb.
There's no need for a 'website' like Futhead.
They must have just done that recently. Here's what you need to do to get around it:
After you've done all of that, FM 2014 should be in your account so just wait for the key to arrive. This process isn't 100% reliable so you may have to repeat steps 3/4 a few times but once the payment goes through you'll be in the clear. If you have any questions just ask.
Hotspot Shield. Using this link and the discount code, the game cost me €11.77.
Although it says "Your order has been selected for manual review." and I can't access the game yet. Bit lame since I've already paid, the Paypal receipt is there.
They region lock the purchase, but not the key. Here's what you need to do to get around it:

I don't know if it's your type of a game but I find New Star Soccer to be oddly addictive when I am traveling somewhere. The thing is, you are a player.

I'm not sure - I've already purchased it so whenever I install the APK for it on a new device and log into my Google account, it verifies the purchase.
If you haven't purchased it yet, go to the URL below on a compatible device to open the app in your play store - hopefully you'll have the option to purchase:

There was (albeit very subtle) bigotry.
For example:
> I don’t think this will change anything personally and sexualising imaginary players as heterosexuals wasn’t part of the game before.
Translation: 'Wheres my straight pride day'
And so on. It's very subtle, and isn't obvious if you're not looking for it. But statements like that are very clear 'dog whistles'
And the repeated complaints about 'politicisation' are again a dog-whistle.

That particular Celeron chip is going to sit at 2.0 GHz with just two cores and integrated graphics. My old MacBook Air (early 2017 model) sat in a similar place, and it ran the game poorly. It’s probably not enough, but I also think it’s not insane to budget $500 and find something that will. The difference between $500 and $1000 is a lot for pre-fab desktops.
For what it’s worth, I got a great deal on this Lenovo laptop and I’m sure it’s possible to find a desktop with similar specs for $400-500 or so. Hell, you need those specs to comfortably run Google chrome these days.
This is the laptop I bought and the specs on it are much higher than the system requirements so I’m wondering why the 3d graphics capabilities are so bad
Pretty cheap on Amazon, they send you a box which just contains a code rather than disk.
Thank you! So do you think this would be a better option? - Laptop
There is one. It’s a brilliant, very funny read.

So I managed to have an very easy FA cup run, no EPL teams until the final, which I was fully expected to lose against Man City.
The first half of the final was as expected, City scored an early goal against my non-existent defense and ended the half 0-1. I gave the good old encourage half time talk and we managed to equalised somehow after a minute of restart.
A repeat of events and the score was 2-2. That was when City decided to kindly throw the match for me 😂. Fernandinho for some reason decided to see RED and City conceded a last minute penalty shortly after. My star striker decided to score another goal in extra time to rub salt into City wounds.
After this miracle FA cup win, and promotion to Championship in the bag, I find myself in the board meeting where they expect my to win the Europa next season WTF

There's an app that does that.
I bought it and spent a about a week playing it. Good fun.
Look for a deal you are okay to pay for. If you know, you are making a switch in few months, wait for a low price. You can use this to keep track of the prices: http://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=footballmanagerii0iv
I don't sign. I create a player after creating the club. I set his current ability as 70, and potentional ability as 90 and lots of over 15 attributes. i create these in Vanarama League.
This is the player: https://vgy.me/bE1nWC.png
Give Open Broadcast Software (OBS) a look if you haven't considered it. It has full integration with twitch (requires setup) and the forums are a big help. It will take a bit of time to setup but works fantastically well as either a streaming tool or as a video capture tool
If you can't get good results with that, maybe your upload speed isn't good enough
This was my Pentagon save (I played to 2030+ before it corrupted), the league's the Egyptian top flight, and the club is Smouha.
Bought over by a couple of Scottish(!) tycoons they immediately made it Hibs' African talent farm.
Still, they do have a fuckton of cash.
https://www.mediafire.com/?84wos99gupcjqez
EDIT: I should add that this was FM14, and if you're interested in reading this Pentagon save: http://sortitoutsi.net/careers/story/9260
Here you go. If you prefer, I can upload a save from right before the window, before I sold those players and bought Byram and Bentaleb.
I'm still about 10 days from where he joins the club. There are some other good regens at Hull city that you should enjoy as well
edit: Link fixed
I've got a save in 2032 with all English tiers loaded. I'm just uploading it now, i'll edit this comment with the link for the download in a couple of minutes.
Edit: Uploaded the wrong save! Shit! Let me do this again..
Edit2: There you go, 2031/32 season, currently manager of Spurs. All English leagues loaded. (Leeds in league 1)
No problem! it's been a pretty fun tactic to play with. I can post the rest of the shouts if you need, as well as player instructions. Actually, here's a link to download the tactic. Would you like the possession one as well?
~~Over on the right side of~~ ~~this page~~~~, I think it shows the different ways to play with your friends, but the pages are pretty sparse on details.~~ Does anyone know of a source that more thoroughly explains how to play with your friends.
There's also something called Cross-Sync ??? But this looks like it's for something called FM Touch...
Does anyone have experience playing with their friends? What's the best way? Worst way? What if you have a friend who doesn't have a PC? Is there a resource or video somewhere that explains all of this, lol.
Edit: first link was not relevant
I used OBS to record my screen instead of using the match highlights tool. It's pretty easy to use too, so you don't have to worry about having to watch countless tutorials. You just select a source, then you can crop it by pressing alt + dragging the selection borders. All you need to do after that is to record it and, if you're planning on uploading it to Reddit, use HandBrake or any other program of your choice to convert it to a format Reddit accepts, in this case .mp4. Incredibly easy stuff and it probably takes less time than FM needs to process the highlight video.
Hope that helps you! :)
I was going to say Ultimate Soccer Manager as a guess, but after reading the wikipedia page it says:
>The game was a massive hit in Europe (except in Germany, where it was worse received due to some similarities with managers produced by local software houses such as Software 2000 and Ascaron)
Might be worth checking out the wikipedia pages for those two companies as it might be a German only type game like Anstoss.
I mean this:

Anytime during a year, you suddenly receive a message from your HoYD that some of your future newgens was poached by another team. Those players were meant to be your future regens. This happens approx 3x a season...

Not sure what the tactic shows when it's opened up but it's meant to be asymmetric due to my roster atm. Thanks again.

Would this run the game well enough? I tend to load the main European leagues for most saves.

Thanks for the help. It was on win95.
Anstoss 2 and 3 were really good games. Gerald Köhler was a god in designing football manager games and it never gave a better manager game than anstoss 3 at that time (personally my alltime favorite)
Unfortunately he moved after Antoss 3 to EA. So all games after Anstoss 3 are a joke in compare to second and third anstoss.
Anstoss 3 is only in german :( . But Anstoss 2 can you try in english. It has the name "On the ball 2".
http://www.old-games.com/download/4803/on-the-ball-2-a
It does not have licences so you have to look for userfiles, if you want the original names. I think, you can look for userfiles of Anstoss 2 (think they are compatible)
Thanks but I bought the game from here for a little bit cheaper. Im loving it so far and feel like Im a kid again
They stopped making it for Linux, because it would have required a 700% increase in sales figures for it to be worth it.
Install proton, which is ostensibly wine but for steam. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton
I would greatly appreciate it if some of you could take 5 minutes to help me get my bachelor's degree in Sport Management! Thanks!
If you buy the full game, touch (on pc) is free.
http://www.footballmanager.com/games/football-manager-2018
All purchases of Football Manager 2018 include a free copy of Football Manager Touch 2018 (for Windows, macOS or Linux only).
Hope this helps, in short the update just fixed some steam workshop bugs and issues with signing into social media within the game!
Look up the specs for the laptop model you have online and see if they match or exceed the minimum specs for FM16. Simple.
Here are the system requirements.
The game requires the steam platform.
If you aren't sure about purchasing it then you can try out the demo, which allows you to play six in-game months of the full game.
I didn't realise either until I found the same guy in two of my saves. Turns out there may be a whole bunch of them: http://www.footballmanager.com/manual/fm2016/credits/sports-interactive-quality-assurance
I found Jack Masterson on one of my saves too, potential to be a leading premier league right back. I haven't looked for the other but i'm sure some of them will be there.
To make your own rough estimate with references:
Loading leagues defines the level of simulation for them. The more leagues you load the more players in the database and having lots of players can slow your game down (requires extra processing power).
You will need load England and the English championship as playable. You should also load the premier league and league one incase you get promoted/relegated.
Leading Spain will mean the games in Spain will will be simulated and you can watch see their scores or even watch them.
Also did you try googling first? I googled "football manager loading leagues" and got this article which seems to explain it reasonable well. Also why did you ask a very similar question again within half an hour?
I don't think that's entirely true, at least according to the manual. > Jumping Reach reflects how good a player is at reaching the ball in the air. It indicates the highest point an outfield player can reach with his head. It is not necessarily reflective of how tall a player is, but when considering his jumping ability, it makes sense to take into account the player’s height. For example, a player of 200+cm will still possess a high reach even if he is a poor jumper, and a player who measures in at 170cm will struggle to compete at the same height due to the 30cm difference in height between the two.
Download the free demo they have, only thing you need is steam.

If the demo works then the full game should work too, no speculation or anything, just try and see.
The official game manual may give you some pointers and explain some context. It's ingame as well, so you can consult it any time (via the [?]-button located on the right side of the top bar) if somethings unclear.
I also like this rather exhaustive guide, since it's well-structured and offers in-depth explanation on various concepts of gameplay.
Apart from that: Just get started. You'll lose games, you'll get sacked, but you're also getting better. Start with a strong team, try not to screw it up - and if you do, just start over again. It's a rather steep learning curve, but you won't stop smiling for a week once you've won a trophy for the first time.
Do you have an older version of windows lying around? Try installing Oracle's Virtualbox virtual machine. You can create an old install of windows XP on that and run games through there, I used this to play Championship Manager 2. Alternatively you might want to look into DOSBox.
Maybe we should force them to wear hats like baseball guys do. See, it helps a lot.
Same third party tech. But no terrifying forehead hairline shenanigans.
Also 5 imaginary internet points to anyone who can guess what year that uniform is.
I've thought they should do something like this for regen faces. The tech is there from a ML face gen point of view and it'd just need the training on the different parameters to get started. Could end up with something like https://thispersondoesnotexist.com where they're all generated faces.
Could even realistically age regens through this kind of technology.
This is my team:

Samba Kanoute is the defender that been with me since the start. The striker is Noel Makombo-Eboma. Not been as good this season, but we're only at the start of the season.
No.
Change your USB drive name - http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/assign-permanent-drive-letters-to-a-removable-usb-drive-in-windows/. Change it to a random letter, like "P", or "Q", or something else towards the middle-end of the alphabet.
After that, install Steam to your USB. Clean install.
After that, make a folder on your USB called "Steam Library" or something along those lines in the Steam directory that will now be on your USB.
After that, change the setting I showed in my previous screenshot, and select the "Steam Library" folder that you just created on your USB. The screen looks like this - http://i.imgur.com/wmwmqBz.png. Just click on "Add library folder" and then select the "Steam Library" folder.
Then install FM2017 to the newly created library on your USB drive.
Hello everyone !
In respect to what was written above when it comes to FM21, some people might still play FM20 still.
Following a couple of messages I received due to me sharing in a older post the script which will work with the previous version I have found this new topic and thought of uploading the file again due to link being expired.
So for everyone that is still playing 20 version here you go: https://www.filemail.com/d/pfwmndemmueizxd
PS: Use the tutorial for the 21 instalment with the only minor difference being you will replace this script instead of the one you will get from the one posted in the main topic.
Enjoy !
