Would rather it wasn't a link straight to a download. It is pretty helpful software from experience.

Notepad++ is pretty good for editing .ini files for games.
Have you looked into the the temps of your GPU or CPU during the times that it crashes, or checked the Windows crash logs? Both of those could be very helpful in tracking down what is causing the crash.
So does it work? I bought B&W today, and I really hope it works on my windows 10. edit: Also, have you tried running it in compability mode for windows 7 or 8? Update 2: I panicked whilst waiting for game to arrive to I tried a pirated version. Installed it, absolutely no problems, worked flawlessly for me. If there is the the error that says you are missing IFC22.dll open the installation directory for Black and White, it should be there just copy it, and paste it over runblack.exe Else If there is the error that says you are missing p5dll.dll go here - http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?p5dll - and download the zip, extract it, and copy p5dll.dll to the installation directory.
My normal file for a first install is
Chrome, firefox, Skype, Pidgin, VLC, AIMP, .net, Picasa, Gimp, LibreOffice, Essentials, notepadd++, WinSCP, Putty, Dropbox, Evernote, Steam, Keepass, RealVNC, Launchy, WinDirStat, (I'd suggest classic start for windows 8), and 7 Zip.
There are a few others, like CC Cleaner, but Ninite covers most of my basic install needs, and can give a single simple install file to also use again to check for updates.
With prologue, do you mean the video or when you get to move around? In any case, check the temps and usage with this: https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner
Never trust the developer when it comes to performance, especially when there's an "I think" in it.
First thing to check are thermals.
grab https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
and check when you are running the game, what temperature your GPU and CPU are hitting. If they are getting up to 100 degrees, then you have a cooling issue and are thermal throttling.
Another thing is check your task manager and see what is taking up resources on your pc. Is there something running in the background eating up your ram, or heavily running on your cpu?
Another thing you can try is resetting your visual settings in the game to a default profile, say set it to medium, and see if your framerate goes way up. Could be you have a specific setting in your game eating up a lot of performance.

Here you go, it's called amazon, the mouse linked is for basic bitches.
I... don't know what that means. I am just using the computer as it came? I haven't done anything to it.

Just to confirm, sometimes in these games when you turn on controller support in a game, it disabled the keyboard input, for whatever reason. You checked for that, right?
Also, does the issue occur with a different keyboard? Go get a cheap logitech one from staples or whatever. A no frills wired keyboard, and then see if the issue reoccurs.
