I like a place called O'Chiado, it's cheap and good food, but a bit small so you could have trouble finding tables at weekends.
Me and a friend like to play chess, but we don't have a chess board at the moment. If you find one tell me where! :)
Motorbike specific parking spots are free as well any shopping center parking. There's an app where you find most of them. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motaaki
I use it mostly to check upfront when going downtown where the police is more strict with sidewalk parking and you might end with a fine or even being towed.
Although I can't tell if you gonna listen some Bossa Nova or not, here's the best spot for listening jazz in Lisboa: Hot Club.
You should get in touch with We Hate Tourism Tours They are really good.
there are two good restaurants. near martin moniz. they are sometimes referred to as illegal since they are set up in a sort of a large flat, location. the food is of homemade style. Palacio Hong Kong on Pascoal de Melo is also good.
I’m no expert whatsoever I found two explanations:
1) it be an indicator of poor pipe function (sewage problems). Not likely but they do breed better if sewage is not functioning properly.
https://www.in.gov/health/eph/onsite-sewage-systems-program/diseases-involving-sewage/
2) Other explanation could be just temperature and humidity that seem to be related to mosquito levels

You can check the long-term forecast for next week in Lisbon, here: https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/0d36f88e2343be7f1465069b140cded774fb95ed839b35ab4987062aad33c98d
The high seems to be 18C (64F) during the days, dropping down to about 12C (about 54F) at night. It looks like showers are forecast for most of the week. But of course long-term forecasts can often change.
If it was me I'd bring a warm jacket, something waterproof, and plan to wear layers that can be added or subtracted as needed. And I'd also bring an umbrella.
> maybe make it to the castle (paid, and not cheap)
€ 8,50 isn't that bad... (Source)
If you do go to the Castle, there's a tiny restaurant on the left of the Castle entrance called "Claras em Castelo" which is owned by a friend of mine and is really nice.
EDIT: Here's their Trip Advisor Page: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g189158-d1896374-Reviews-Claras_em_Castelo-Lisbon_Lisbon_District_Central_Portugal.html

If I was you I'd book online. Better safe than sorry :)
Tem o Terras Gerais na Calçada da Santana, 70, mas não posso dizer se é bom ou não, pois não provei a comida deles.
I have a Brita that I bought in Continente. For filters Amazon is the best place to send it to Portugal in my opinion. These ones
For abandoned buildings, there's nothing better than the Restaurante Panoramico de Monsanto.
Can't speak for the safety, nor the legality, of getting yourself in there, but it has incredible views and it's a pretty impressive building.
It's in Parque Florestal de Monsanto, you can get a couple of buses out that way from Marques de Pombal. Here's a link
Hello,
Saw your post while looking in the Lisbon thread. If you are still looking for a room in Lisbon, you might want to check this out.
It's an amazing studio which you will not share with anybody. It also has a terrace very quiet, where you can drink a glass of wine at night. This is where we stayed when we were in Lisbon.
The place is at 1-2 minutes away from San Sebastiao metro station, which has connection with the red line (coming from the airport) and with the blue line (which takes you to Baixa-Chiado and Rossio).
Hope this helps.
Have a nice stay in Lisbon!
check here, you can find forecasts as well as historical weather data for this time of the year.

Usually sushi restaurants are owned by Chinese and will have Chinese food on menu.
Anyway, according to the ubereats site these restaurants have a Chinese menu https://www.ubereats.com/pt-PT/lisbon/chinese-delivery/
If you ignore the wok2walk, you’re left with this restaurant. https://www.ubereats.com/pt-PT/lisbon/food-delivery/cozinha-urbana/271RxdDEQa6lV0FJEY-dDA/
Also, I think (I’m not sure) that Glovo does pickup at whatever restaurant you want, so you can get pickup from favorite restaurant .
Not really what you're looking for, but I'm enjoying this, even if it's not chronological:

Somebody has recommended the Roger Crowley book, which is absolutely excellent, if not a sobering eye opener to how my ancestors behaved (spoiler: I’m not proud!), but that’s not the era of history you’ve asked about.
The best English language book for Portuguese history, including Medieval, is hands down the A. R. Disney book, volume one. It also has a second volume for more “recent” history.
Volume one’s chapter five is dedicated to Medieval Portugal.
