On September 23rd 2008, 11 people died at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.
Although heavily redacted, the Investigation report still contains plenty of interesting information for anyone interested in the case with the patience to read the report. The report can be found here.
He did do that, there isn't too much footage but a few screenshots of Cruz leaving the 1200 building and then crossing the field to join a large crowd of evacuated students can be found starting here: https://www.docdroid.net/e1CjtRu/police-response-presentation-pdf#page=122
I've always wondered if Cruz really thought that he was going to get away unnoticed. He was probably arrogant enough in that moment that he thought he'd fooled everybody, just like he tried to bullshit the cops who found him.
There's also footage of him at the Walmart and McDonalds. Interesting fact, when he went to the McDonalds, he was sitting with another kid who was related to one of his victims. Had to be difficult to cope with afterward, knowing he sat down and had a conversation with the shooter.

Here's what the files look like (contains dates, titles, descriptions, and photos of the comments).
One of the psychologist who conducted extensive interviews of James Holmes wrote a book on the Aurora shooting. He's also the one whose interview videos can be found online.

Not that I know of.
The document was actually introduced into the trial by the prosecutor: https://www.docdroid.net/aWbFmSR/mc-docket.pdf
cf. line "Handwritten letters from N. Cruz, consisting of 48 pages". Note only 46 pages are in this document released by the Sentinel, not 48, which means there are two pages unreleased.
Either the Sentinel refused to print those extra 2 pages, or the court only released a partial version excluding 2 pages.
Regardless, I want to see those 2 extra pages.
He was definitely diagnosed with an actual mental illness. Psychiatrists disagreed on the specific diagnoses, but all of them were in agreement that he was somewhere on the schizophrenia spectrum. One diagnosed him with schizoaffective disorder and social anxiety, while another diagnosed him with schizotypal personality disorder. You can read more about it in this psychiatric evaluation here. It also documents a few pretty severe psychotic breaks he had after the shooting
Sure thing, here it is:
https://www.docdroid.net/Zzx5UJY/pulse-nightclub-shooting-autopsy-reports-complete-pdf
Its 600 pages so it may take a minute to load but since docdroid can be kind of buggy/laggy id advise you just download it and open it (in Adobe or whatever pdf reader you have) to read it easier. It's got drawings too.
Dr William Reid, the one who interviewed James Holmes wrote a great book on the Aurora shooting. Here's the link
“Banned” is not correct.
These songs were simply not played because they were in bad taste.
Shortly after, there was a Concert for New York City. I was a sophomore in college and I had never really listed to artists like Billy Joel or Elton John in depth before. I listened to the CD from this concertnon stop for like 6 months. It was so good, and I learned so much about each of these artists featured simply because they chose to play this show.
Post-9/11 was a strange time, but to say these songs were “banned” from the radio is going a bit far.
I haven't had a good look at the bible but I think it looks like this one.
Is it out of the ordinary for a religious defendant to have a bible in court? I know people can use religion to disingenuously claim that they're changed or rehabilitated or a good person, I wonder if that's what Brooks is doing by keeping the bible around.
Interesting that the psychiatrist who treated the killer appears to have released a [book] ( https://www.amazon.com/Aurora-Psychiatrist-Treated-Theater-Killer/dp/B09LK2D58G) yesterday? I previously read a "Dark Night in Aurora" by William Reid and it was really good

I think I might have found it
It has what appears to be the same colour and it also has side mag holders like the one in the video.
A Lie Too Big to Fail: The Real History of the Assassination of Robert F. Kennedy >In A Lie Too Big to Fail, longtime Kennedy researcher (of both JFK and RFK) Lisa Pease lays out, in meticulous detail, how witnesses with evidence of conspiracy were silenced by the Los Angeles Police Department; how evidence was deliberately altered and, in some instances, destroyed; and how the justice system and the media failed to present the truth of the case to the public. Pease reveals how the trial was essentially a sham, and how the prosecution did not dare to follow where the evidence led. A Lie Too Big to Fail asserts the idea that a government can never investigate itself in a crime of this magnitude. Was the convicted Sirhan Sirhan a willing participant? Or was he a mind-controlled assassin? It has fallen to independent researchers like Pease to lay out the evidence in a clear and concise manner, allowing readers to form their theories about this event. Pease places the history of this event in the context of the era and provides shocking overlaps between other high-profile murders and attempted murders of the time. Lisa Pease goes further than anyone else in proving who likely planned the assassination, who the assassination team members were, and why Kennedy was deemed such a threat that he had to be taken out before he became President of the United States.

Thank you. I think you mean this book. Can’t find a full ebook though only a sample.

I had no idea “bums” were so well known for their writing organization.. the homeless people in my area can barely put a sentence together. Chicago sounds incredible.

Likely just did Whip-Its in the freezer. A coworker of mine used to work at a McDonalds back in the 90s and they had to have the nitrous cannisters locked up and opened only by managers because the teens would get them and get high on their shift.
Should still be up, gotta get the whole path

Not downplaying anything. The word you're looking for is "predominantly an American problem". Uniquely is the old American way of thinking that the world revolves around us. Like if Europe was gun nuts as well, that they wouldn't have the same type of issues, they obviously would. I resent this whole notion of Americans being "worse people". The only factor in all of this is GUNS: Crime Is Not the Problem: Lethal Violence in America (Studies in Crime and Public Policy). Americans are not more prone to crime than other western countries.
For every 100 Americans there's over 130 guns. The Small Arms Survey stated that US civilians alone account for 393 million (about 46 percent) of the worldwide total of civilian held firearms.
With just some decent federal gun laws, we could live lives like in a normal western country.
Sue Klebold participated in a documentary called "American Tragedy" that was released last year. You can stream the film with Amazon Prime.
Cannot post it here and since it kind of long, I just uploaded a PDF version instead. Click the link and then read the document or it ain't working:

Geez get a load of this Little Lord Fauntleroy-lookin' motherfucker
A dark knight in aurora. First book I’ve gotten through cover to cover in a while tbh. I went in after reading the transcript with the feds where he helped them diffuse all the bombs he left in his apartment as a distraction. (Google it if you haven’t read it before, it’s wild to me).
Honestly reading that book along with some other watching the court case (pretty much the whole thing was broadcast live and is on YouTube), reading ims & emails between him and his friends, looking at other evidence, and reading his journal he mailed his therapist right before committing the shooting is just a wild fucking ride that I hyper focused on for a week or so. Honestly put my in a dark place for a few days.

I have definitely seen this image with the caption describing it as Ryan, I believe it was in Graham Chester's 'Berserk!' book, but it's been a long time since I last read it.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Berserk-Motiveless-Massacres-Graham-Chester/dp/185479177X
While I can't account for the accuracy of the caption, I can confirm that all schools here in the UK seemed to have those tubular steel / plastic chairs during that time period in the late 80s!
From /u/MyUsernameIsJudge
>Looks like he's using a very cheap red dot from the pic, he has no front sight mounted.
>It's this profile, which is common among cheap sights you'd find on Amazon. Basically they're all pumped out of some factory in China and a bunch of companies plaster their logo on it and sell it. May not have properly zeroed but they are not reliable sights anyway, could have contributed to his failure.
>I realize this isn't the most important detail, but it's something I noticed.
I just listened to the audiobook version of this book about Holmes https://www.amazon.com/Dark-Night-Aurora-Colorado-Shootings/dp/1510735526
The book was free with a free trial of Audible (just gotta cancel your trial before 1 month if you don't want to be charged.
Anyway the book is written and narrated by the MD who did the 20 hours of psychiatric interviews with Holmes, which can be watched on YouTube as well.
