At least get yourself a nice set of staedtler pens... https://www.amazon.com/Staedtler-34-SB4-ST-STAEDTLER/dp/B000JTMCO4/ they're NOT expensive and you'll love them. I promise. Heck, I'll even buy them for you if you promise to give it a try.
I tend to habitually squeeze with my thumb while playing. If the thumbgrip had an area where that was possible without hitting a button, I'd totally use this.

I hope everyone is enjoying this rainy day Sunday :) (at least in my neck of the woods).
I used to use one of the hubs that has a 3” usb-c cable. Although completely functional, it’s just wasn’t aesthetically pleasing lol this one is great but I wish it had 2 USB-A ports rather than the SD-Card slots but 🤷🏻♂️
Thx! Got the PBT keycaps from amazon link
I'd recommend it since you don't get much of the oil glossy looking keycaps made from ABS

Edit: I probably should have put it in at the beginning but this is the desk mat Jestar World Map (Amazon). Its not bad quality, cheap, and looks great :) Especially on a wooden desk
I have a case that holds the apple pencil 1 along the side: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PQ7C3JH/
I have not noticed lag in writing for long periods of time. From time to time it may jump if I touch a menu on accident.
It has to be charged separately, which is a bit of a bummer. But it charges pretty quickly.
Oh I totally forgot that when iOS 14 came out, scribble was enabled. You can write and the apple OS will covert for any text field in any app. https://support.apple.com/guide/ipad/enter-text-with-scribble-ipad355ab2a7/ipados

It's got some cool features, it lives in my bag for when I need a mouse. My ergonomic mouse is having issues with the receiver and I don't have time to troubleshoot it or replace it.
It was part of a set I found on Amazon that is no longer available: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JRBDDA6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hey, got it from Amazon. I believe it is a Geekria product. This isn't the exact one as I can't seem to find it right now but it's the Sennheiser version: Amazon
A cheap no name amazon thing :-) NGL I kind of want the new microsoft peach mouse just because it would match the rest of my stuff. It would be cool if they had a prime day sale on it.
Thanks! Yeah, it provides a good amount of grip. The clip on this one also lies flush when extended, which makes it pretty comfortable as well. r/mechanicalpencils can hook you up haha
Edit: Here it is on Amazon!
Yeah, that picture is a lie, because I finally put together my work bench and got all my shit off of the desk so it would look halfway presentable.

I like them a lot!

Where'd you get the pencil? I'm having a hard time finding one on the internet. The posting on Amazon is currently unavailable. It looks very similar to my Koh-i-Noor 5.6 mm clutch pencil.
The only thing I have to complain about, is right when they first pair, for the first minute or so, they cut in and out. But then after that they sound great, have good battery life, and are pretty comfortable on my big ass ears. this is the one I got!

Instead of having two keyboards, you should check out Barrier (https://github.com/debauchee/barrier). It's an open source KVM utility that you run on both computers. It will let you share one mouse and keyboard across many computers. Not an ad, I just like the software.

It's pretty comfortable. Relatively small, but I hardly move my hands at all when using my ergodash so that's not a problem. It looks and feels nice. I'd say it's medium quality. The microfiber layer on top is glued on, and looks like it may eventually start to peel off at the seam.
This is what I found for the mouse pad

Ngl I often use their Logitech Flow software but yeah otherwise you have to press the button. Bit of a hassle but one of those.
It's an interesting vibe. It's definitely not the overwhelming bass you'd get from the likes of Beats or something else lackluster but the bass is definitely present. For lack of a better explanation the bass is... clearer? It's a lot more punchy than boomy, if that makes sense.
So, for instance, if you listen to something like Bruno Mars - 24K Magic, the bass line and the kicks are clear and present but they don't overwhelm the synths and hi hats. Everything's just crisp. As for rap & hip-hop, in my opinion, they're just okay. You just kinda want just a bit more bass. If that's mainly what you listen to, and you don't mind rocking in-ears from time to time, I'd suggest getting a pair of KZ ZSN Pro X's. They're pretty good for music like that and they're only $20.
Now, I personally love the HD 58Xs. For what I listen to the most, they do an amazing job and I'd still recommend them to you. Just don't expect them to be perfect for every genre. They're kinda like a swiss army knife. They may not be able to do everything perfect but they are definitely a pretty great all-rounder.
Hope that helps! Happy hunting!
P.S.: If you decide to get the HD58Xs, they may sound a little underwhelming in the beginning. Just keep listening to them. I found that after I got used to the way they handle sound, I enjoyed them a LOT more.
I'm glad you like it!
About the tactile turn, as long as you are okay with it being a little back heavy, it's great! The jetstream refill is easily the best G2 refill I've used. It's a good rich black and very smooth. I've used two out of my four so far and they've lasted about a year of (not light) use each. I like to sand a bit of the plastic part on the top off so it doesn't stick out of the pen as much. Plus, you can actually use many many more refills than just G2 because of the mechanism. I've only tried muji refills (you have to cut them down to size) and they work great. If you're in the us, don't buy the jetstream off of jetpens. You can get the a 4 pack of the refill off of Amazon for like 20 bucks
I'd say go for it!
I like G2s a lot too and in general like most of Pilot's products. Besides G2 I usually use https://www.amazon.com/Pilot-Precise-Precision-Ink-5mm-35334/dp/B00006IEBI
G2 0.5 is like the Precise v5 and G2 0.7 is like Precise v7
They're great! I use them with the FiiO BTR5 Bluetooth headphone amp, and the combo really gets the most out of my flacs
The ear pads are a replacement set in leatherette from a brand called “Earzonk” that I can’t find anywhere again.
https://uedata.amazon.com/EarZonk-Long-Life-Leatherette-Cushions-Headphones/dp/B00OM21W1I
They’re not perfect, and there are similar options.
I recently saved up the money to get a good desk setup, it consists of a ifi zen stack (dac and can stack), my trusty ol philips shp9500 and a pair of senhiser hd6xx with a relatively cheap amazon balanced cable, and a pair of kz zs10pro (not pictured). I have been using this for about a month now and absolutely love it, I have convinced multiple of my friends to buy the 9500's, the zen cans xbass button is amazing it adds that little extra umph to the 6xxs that you totally miss when listening to them normally.

Its the Womier/Gamakay K66 in White with the Gateron Brown Switch: LINK

Honestly, for the price it's a great board. Gateron Switches, nice frosted acrylic case, hotswap sockets and a USB-C interface. Also, there's no software so all the board's RGB controls are on the board itself.
Gear:
- Pok3r (non backlit) with SA 9009 caps
- Lamy Vista with mixed ink
- I think these are pretty recognizable, but everyone asks me what case I have on it, so: Caseology Vault (Amazon) for AirPods Pro
AIO is not really an intended part of the post, but it ties everything together. It's a Lost Vape Orion DNA. Don't buy this unless you already smoke, or want something that's good for vaping CBD.
I highly recommending getting the M570, I’ve read several reports about switch failures, but that hasn’t caused me any issues yet. I have 4 of these, one each for office, home, travel and one as a spare. The ones that I use for office and home have been running fine for the past 3-4 years, the scroll wheel is sub par though. I’ve attached a phone ring holder to prop it up, it is not sturdy, but it has been working for me since a couple of years now. Here is the exact product I’ve used to prop it up https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07F5FX5X9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_dAWHFbKQRP3GP
I think these should be what you are looking for. I don't remember of anyone making fancy looking ones yet, but these should do the trick, and they are relatively affordable.
Can't imagine it'll be worse than what I'm currently using. It barely reaches into the next room over. I'll probably just put it on avexchange if it's a downgrade. Thanks for the honest review though.
My phone uses 4.2 bluetooth and gets about twice the distance of that 5.0 dongle
> If they released one using their newer wireless tech I'd jump on it without hesitation.

This isn't new enough for you?
G502 Hero user here as well. >.>
I heard great things about this keyboard and ended up buying the 82 key one (slightly shorter, has an F row) here.
The first 3 I ordered didn't work with the included USB cable (or any others I had) but the USB from a Magicforce 62 worked. So YMMV on the quality, although I have heard mostly good things outside of my experience.
Qisan ended up sending me a Magicforce 62 after I had ordered the 82.
I have tried the mouse OP linked for awhile, as my friend likes to buy new mice and never use them.
The mouse is Elecom DUO MMO and although the idea is okay, the buttons, and the way they pressed felt very cheap, and unsatisfying.
It's an Opinel No. 8 folding knife. Just excellent for everyday use, a lot of history behind their knives too.
People recommend the same few pens over and over for beginners, and largely it's because they are good. To deviate from the rest of the comments, I started with a Parker Urban. They look really sleek and classy. They are a good price for a starter pen. The current generation are more expensive then the last, but you can find both on amazon and they're both great. If you like the look than you'll love an Urban because they write flawlessly and are very forgiving to beginners.
Also you mentioned that you use pencils! The wonderful rOtring 800 has a great discount on amazon right now. If you're interested in mechanical pencils than I couldn't recommend anything more at than that deal at the moment.
EDIT: I'll also recommend the TWSBI Eco over the pilot metro. It costs more, but it's better. A screw on cap is a life saver, it has a large capacity, nice filling mechanism, and IT LOOKS FLY AF.
EDIT: Wow this post is a month old.
You could try a wireless trackball like the Kenzington Orbit or Logitech M570
I use these, I find they are much more comfortable than the stock pads.
Grado SR255e headphones as well as a Bravo Audio Tube Headphone amp.
