Logitech actually has a system like this now that does just that :)
Look into Logitech FLOW if you are interesting in learning more on it.
That actually works with a mouse like the Logitech MX Master 2 and the free Logitech Flow program :)
The more you know ^

This software allows you to button and key customize your keyboard and mouse.
Here is a way to remove it: https://superuser.com/questions/1267865/how-to-get-rid-of-logitech-options-software-recommendation-dialog
Trust me, I know you feel absolutely terrible, you feel like you're moving your arm a mile, stick with it.
You can check your DPI for sure with Logitech software, but again, your mouse is bargain bin, so it's up in the air.
DPI tends to be in presets of 400-800-1600-3200, your mouse is slated to be 1000 DPI, but mice are fucky so you'll only know for sure with the software.
OP /u/djtiez this type of concept DOES exist. It requires a mouse and a special piece of software - both from Logitech.
Mouse can be any of these just check near the bottom :) (also keyboards in their too) and the software (believe it is free) from logitech is called Logitech Flow
Take a look at Logitech MX Anywhere 3 mouse. It has great build quality imo, in size it is almost the same as the Anywhere 2S, and with the Logi options app you can remap the side buttons to for example Mission Control, or Screen capture. There is also the possibility to set it per app.
Logitech Flow is the only one I know of. It's not storing anything on the mouse though. It's using cloud storage, basically OneDrive for clipboards.
I've never actually used it, but as long as the backend is reliable (and Logitech always has been in my experience) it should be a smooth experience.
Assuming you use the keyboard and mouse for both, check out Logitech Flow (if it supports your hardware). Great way to use one set if peripherals on both.

I just disable the file sharing etc to keep work/personal separate, it's nice to see the devices directly connect to each machine.
If you arent gaming the Logitech Flow series mice are honestly really great - the software lets you switch between different computers easily and without delay. the MX Master is a nice chonky mouse - if a bit expensive, and the M720 is pretty decent for a mid-budget office mouse.

The MX Veritical can still use Logi Options which does most of my MX Master configuring. There is no option to define specific left-click or right-click actions though, so you'd still need something third-party like Karabiner Elements.
For the Logitech MX Master series, one other option is that the mouse itself was configured to do page navigation.
To fix it on osx catalina:
Hope this helps anyone who finds this!
Hi u/gianmaranon,
Thank you for reaching out to us. Sorry to hear about your experience with Logitech Flow. Logitech Flow uses the local network to link computers and allow them to share a mouse and, if available, a keyboard. For computers behind routers or firewalls, Logitech Flow uses a Logitech cloud service to assist with peer discovery and requires an internet connection. For more information please refer to Logitech Flow’s support page. https://support.logi.com/hc/articles/360023188134#troubleshooting
Yes - they had/have a bluetooth version of the kit too, BUT when I went to get the details it actually seems there is now a new product set which does what we want (move the mouse to the edge of the screen and it transfers the keyboard over too automatically). This option wasn't available when I purchased what I have only a few weeks ago.
Rule 5 of this sub prohibits recommendations so here's a link to the generic multi-device input range page rather than a specific model: https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/options/page/flow-multi-device-control
"Control multiple computers with one Flow-enabled mouse. Automatically switch between computers by moving your cursor to the edge of the screen. Your mouse flows with you, even between Windows and macOS operating systems."
"Connect your Flow keyboard and mouse via WiFi, Bluetooth or USB Dongle".
> You can also perform this trick with Hardware on the new Logitech MX devices using Logitech Flow: > > https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/options/page/flow-multi-device-control
I have the MX Keys and Traithlon mouse, and Flow is great in theory but can be a bit dodgy in practice. Copy/paste is especially unreliable in my experience, and when it doesn't work, it can sometimes completely freeze the application in question (e.g., freezes Firefox if trying to paste into the address bar).
When it works, though (85% of the time in my experience. I use it for my PC, Mac, and iPad; wish I could use it on my Chromebook, though!), it's great. I was using a USB switch before that (with the Unifying receiver) and it was slower and more fussy.
Same issue here for me on my M1 MBP. Been chatting with a Logitech supporter and she sent me this link (https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/options/page/flow-multi-device-control) which is completely helpless.
Some Logitech mice and keyboards have something called Logitech Flow, where you pair the mouse to two devices. When you copy someting on one device, you can drag the cursor to the other device and paste it there. It works with things like copy-pasting and file sharing, but I don’t think that you can drag app windows between computers.
Ngl I often use their Logitech Flow software but yeah otherwise you have to press the button. Bit of a hassle but one of those.
......I really should have investigated a bit further before asking for help.
Just found the culprit: a process called LogiMgrDaemon, which is a part of Logitech Options software, is CONSTANTLY monitoring the clipboard. It does this to enable Logitech Flow's "universal clipboard", even though I did not login and the function isn't active. On my iMac Logi Options is also installed but since there's no Logitech device plugged in it isn't active. Once I unloaded it from launchd the problem is gone. Currently there's no way to disable it, I'll report this to Logi and hopefully they'll change it.
So for anyone else having this problem, look for processes that monitors the clipboard and kill it if you don't need it.
Files and text.

Logitech flow mouse, I also have the keyboard which is great as well.
My setup is pixel slate on left, pixelbook middle, pixel 4 on pixel stand on the right.
Yes! I just bought a mouse for the same reason. Go to:
https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/options
Scroll down and it will show what mouses use the Logitech option software and how many programmable buttons they have.
I bought an M585 and use the left/right click of the scrolling wheel to go left and right between desktops. Works flawlessly! It's a compact mouse for travel but has a few programmable buttons.
Its not magic at all, it's the Flow software from Logitech. I use it now between 2 separate towers and a laptop with a MX Master 3 and Craft Keyboard.

I do professional creative, including a lot of VR/AR and machine learning. My daily workflow is on a Mac, and has been for 30+ years, but I need to be able to test builds in the Oculus. Or for neural network training, I need to be able to leave the machine running Windows for many days at times which now currently keeps me in Windows on my dual boot setup.
Add in my linux server and I always have the 3 running in parallel.
Yeah, doesn't hurt to ask, maybe they can find out or even provide some kind of fix.
If you want a really expensive solution for your problem though, you can check out this stuff:

That's really cool, I haven't seen that before.
Logitech lists some keyboards and other mice here with the same multi-computer tech.
