I've been getting callers from Somalia and Burundi at stupid hours of the morning for the past 2 weeks.
I've installed Mr Number on Android and blocked the entire country code; Seems to work quite well. you can find it here: Google Play
I believe there is a version for iPhone.
Just purchase a Magic 8-Ball for about $10 from Amazon. Cheaper and about as accurate as a tarot card reading from a "psychic".
I bought this faraday box from amazon. It really works great! You put your car fob inside, close it fully and your car won't unlock even if you literally bop the box on the car handle.
What "job" did he lose? According to his LinkedIn profile he's a self-employed businessman. https://www.linkedin.com/in/kevinjackaljohnston
According to his bio when he was running for mayor last year, "talk training" is his main job. If that's still the case, he just had a lot of publicity for his own "talking" abilities. Go get some new customers who like the way you talked, Mr. Johnston! (Ha!)

Similar situation to you, trying to fix an old bike. I walked into this place to get a few small pets and he just gave them to me. Didn’t ask for anything. Seemed really nice and didn’t try to upsell me anything.
They even have a groupon right now https://www.groupon.com/biz/mississauga/pedalinx
Edit: Derry and 10th Line. And parts not pets.
OK, I'll bite (heh).
Let's compare a Big Mac and a standard beef shwarma. The logic being that they're both basically beef sandwiches. Let's do an ounce-for-ounce comparison of nutritional stats. Not a perfect comparison because servings are different so ultimately you'll be eating different amounts, but purely from the data perspective:
Food | Michigan Dining Beef Shwarma 1oz | Big Mac 1oz | Note |
---|---|---|---|
Calories | 66.00 | 72.37 | Shwarma wins this one |
Saturated Fat (g) | 1.33 | 1.32 | Almost no difference |
Trans Fat (g) | 0.33 | 0.13 | Shwarma has slightly more bad fat |
Total Fat (g) | 4.00 | 3.82 | Surprising |
Cholesterol (mg) | 21.33 | 9.87 | Ouch. Big Mac wins |
Sodium (mg) | 84.33 | 127.63 | Ouch. Avoid Big Mac if blood pressure |
Carbs (g) | 0.33 | 6.05 | Low-carb diet--prefer shwarma |
Dietary Fibre (g) | - | 0.39 | Negligible |
Sugars (g) | 0.33 | 1.18 | Big Mac--addictive combo of sugar + salt |
Protein (g) | 6.67 | 3.29 | Shwarma will put meat on your bones |
Vit. A (% DV) | - | 0.53 | Surprisingly, Macs seem to |
Vit. C (% DV) | - | 0.26 | pack in a few more |
Calcium (% DV) | 1.00 | 3.29 | nutrients |
Iron (% DV) | 4.00 | 3.29 | But shwarma will make your blood red |
Admittedly, it's closer than I expected. The cholesterol number looks a little worrying. But on balance, I believe the shwarma is still healthier.
I switched to Fido from a DSL connection last September. I'm only using a 30MB connection (hey, my DSL was 5MB, and it did me fine until I started working from home full time), and in the 14 months, I think there have been 4 outages, the longest one being about 3 hours.
In contrast, people in my condo building are constantly complaining that their Rogers connection is out.
Rogers and Fido share the same wire, but they run through different machines on the back end. So it's not the wiring, but the back ends where the problems are happening.
Fido, being a discount carrier, doesn't include things like email, for example. Every Rogers customer gets a rogers.com email address, whether they use it or not. Fido requires you have an email address already in order to sign up for their service. Fido also doesn't have a news server, and of course there are no tie-ins to the video services, cell phone, etc.
By not having as many services, there's less to go wrong, basically.
I've found the service to be very reliable, and I'm getting (checks fast.com) 33Mbps down, 11ms latency, and 4.8Mbps up. For a promised 30MB connection, that's pretty much the promised download speed. The upload speed doesn't bother me; until I just checked it now, I never noticed it's much lower than the upload.
Moto G8 Power - $125
originally purchased on amazon.ca https://www.amazon.ca/Motorola-Unlocked-International-T-Mobile-XT2041-1/dp/B087VY93FQ/
(The link is the updated one with a case and SD card - I had just purchased the phone and am just selling it as a phone with cable, and one case).
It has been used for under one year as a work phone for me. Great back up phone, travel phone, kids/seniors phone, or your main if you dont need all the bells and whistles of the newer devices.
It does not connect to 5g wifi, just 2.4 - so keep that in mind.
Open to barter as well - other electronics, PS4 or Switch games, funko pops, comics, or other items.
Saddle office chair, bought from Amazon. That's the exact chair. Didn't like it but couldn't find time to go and return it. $80
Saaaaaaaaaame
I'll take a moderate climate any day of the year over this +30° nonsense...

Good luck!
Im also looking for one as well i saw decent review on this 1. Good price and heard its durable.

Buy whatever curtains you want and buy a pack of hem tape. Measure and cut curtains to length, iron hem tape in place. Boom.
I hand sew small stuff but I suck at using a sewing machine so I use hem tape for all kinds of shit. It's awesome.
Alternatively, if you want to just continue the hunt, search 'Rod Pocket Top and Bottom Curtains'.
Another good app I've used is called Citymapper. I've used Transit as well. While Transit is better at finding actual schedules, Citymapper I find is better at mapping and tracking.
I got something like this from Costco a few years back. You'll want something that has wider wheels not skinny.
i got a paif of jabra active t65 BNIB (sealed)

$80 if you want em...
would consider trading for motorcycle gear/parts...

I'm an idjit and rarely wear gloves while walking my dog, so I have hands free poo bag holders on the leashes so I don't have to hold it until the next garbage (if there even is one before I get home)
Cawthra Park near you is nice for an easy walk.
In addition to other comments here check out the waterfront trail. We normally start at the Lakefront Promenade and walk west through Adamson Estate towards Port Credit.
I’ve heard there is a great walk along the Cooksville Creek as well. Been meaning to check it out: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/canada/ontario/cooksville-creek-trail--4
We also love Erindale Park for hikes as well as Riverwood Conservancy. All nearby. Nothing too challenging.
marketing and finance? Very difference disciplines.
There are specific temp/employment agencies you should be looking at... maybe in finance you could start to get some experience in accounts receivable or payable for instance.
Also, do you use other search engines like workopolis etc? Lots of post there for junior positions in accounting... look here. Decent lead for entry level (which has a phone number to talk to a human!).
Best luck.
Also RSA is in the mall... the call center there has a healthy turnaround. Might be worth poking your head in there and asking reception about it.... or if you have some time ask people coming out of the office at lunch time if they know how you might apply for a job there. I'd bet dollars to donuts if you present yourself well, people would be happy to help you out with 'insider' info. Worst case scenerio, you spend an hour of your time actually talking to people who may be able to help you out.
Edit: have you also looked at ontario funded programs like available at vpi?
Etobicoke creek trail in Brampton is great for that. Especially from Conservation Dr to about Vodden St. North of Conservation was gravel still last I checked, so that extra bit is better on bike/feet. http://www.mapmyride.com/ca/brampton-ontario/etobicoke-creek-trail-route-256848441

The name is a bit different, it's called Sauteed Sliced Cooked Pork (P7), or mu xu rou in Chinese pronunciation. I also like their Chinese Crepe (A2), they have a piece of pancake crisp inside and taste wonderful, there are spicy edition and mild edition, I almost order that every time I went there. Good luck!!
There is a free app you can download called Udisc. It will show you all the courses near you and even where to buy disc's from.
To keep things ez and cheap Here is a starter set on Amazon that includes a driver, mid range, and putter for $36: https://www.amazon.ca/Innova-Material-Stack-Disc-Golf/dp/B06XDFWS8L/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?crid=2B8FVGTG6ISSF&dchild=1&keywords=disc+golf+starter+set&qid=1635895182&sprefix=disc+golf+%2Caps%2C184&sr=8-8
Thank you! And it's wonderful you want to support your daughter in her interest in art :)
I was lucky that my parents enrolled me in a weekly drawing class (1hr/week for 10 years) and I'd recommend that if possible! I'd say any kind of structured time to learn drawing techniques is super useful for developing as an artist. Other ways to learn/improve drawing are youtube videos, and drawing from real life (buildings, landscapes, household objects, anything really).
Is your daughter very young? If so I'd also recommend art camps! Visual Arts Mississauga has art camps. I volunteered at a summer camp there a long time ago and I thought the program was really fun for kids.
For digital art, I started with a laptop, Sketchbook by AutoDesk, and a Wacom drawing tablet. Now I draw on an iPad using Procreate and would recommend this setup. But I didn't really start doing digital art seriously until last year. I was drawing with pencil & paper for 15+ years before that.
The most important thing is consistency - 1h a week does wonders over time!
The one I am looking at is $17.99 actually. Let me post the link here.

If you want decent glass mirrors with low profile metal backing plates check these out: Ampper Blind Spot Mirror
Canadian Tire and Princess Auto sell plastic junk versions with very distorted mirrors and think clunky plastic frames. I have tried versions from all 3 sources and the glass ones on Amazon are worth every penny.
To do restaurant style at home you need a wok range and a good seasoned wok. I lived with a bunch of Chinese guys at college and they had a butane powered range but you can also buy kits to convert a natural gas stove to a wok range.
The key to Chinese cooking is getting your wok "wok hei" which basically is so hot that it cooks your food very quickly and makes meat crispy on the outside but very tender on the inside and evaporates water released from cooking very quickly so it doesn't stew your meat or veggies..
You can't do that on a typical residential stove normally without modifications.
I've seen people use stuff like this on natural gas ranges...
https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08NT7LJGV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_YWP6N9DW164AXN0XKPB0
But I have a propane wok range I use during bbq season.
Are you in an apartment or condo? I had this problem in my condo and this filter off Amazon did the trick. Just remember to flip the filter every month or two and replace it every few months:
I have a set of 10 Benjara floral dining chairs that I'm looking to sell. $2,000 for the set, but I would be willing to sell them as a sets of 4 ($800) or 6 ($1,200).
They are very lightly used and in excellent condition - Exact pattern and original price found here
It's the own blend and they don't sell it.
For my fries at home, I use Hy's Cajun Seasoning. It's not the same, but still taste good. https://www.amazon.ca/Hys-Canada-Cajun-Seasoning-125g/dp/B00HVVTRWI/ref=pd_lpo_325_img_0/147-4616698-8241041?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00HVVTRWI&pd_rd_r=1b2d1aa5-51e4-4aed-beb3-030efb7859ef&pd_rd_w=iuaNm&pd_rd_wg=XOrmn&pf_rd_p=256a14b6-93bc-4bcd-9f68-aea60d2878b9&pf_rd_r=WX06S445RXN0BQ07KFED&psc=1&refRID=WX06S445RXN0BQ07KFED

I heard good things about TONY CHACHERE'S and I plan to try that next after finishing the bottle of Hy's.
There's an app on Google Playstore called Mississauga's Transit System that allows you to save full schedules to any bus stops you want and use completely offline.

If he gets something like this you can take a port from the router and plug it into this device and put it into a wall socket. Then he puts one in his area and either puts it into a wireless router or a switch. Then he will get good coverage.
You may have to fool around with the settings of the second router. Its been a while since I used these.
Your wife is gonna love the crap outta you:
Diet Gingerale Sodastream Syrup (makes 9L of soda): $23 on Amazon, $7 at walmart (same brand)
Sodastream on Amazon: $150
all these items can be bought from any Walmart for a bit cheaper by the way. Same brand and all. They have tons of sugar free flavours for your wife to choose from.
Sometimes I’ll just make fizzy water to add a slice of lemon to, it’s refreshing. She’ll love you for this device.
I agree completely, however, it is still better than no protection at all. I am with Teksavvy and completely satisfied with my 300 gb/month, but with the change in copyright law, you would have to pay more for a service like PIA (Private Internet Access) which is an international VPN. I am not sure of the VPN service provided by Acanac as I am with Teksavvy and it may be just tied to a Canadian VPN, I'm not entirely sure. With the recent Voltage lawsuit with Teksavvy, I think it would be a good idea for the heavy downloader/uploader to look at a VPN.
Under their FAQs, the shipping to Canada is only $2.99.
What are your shipping costs and delivery times?
Canada - $2.99 - Standard shipping time is usually 3-7 business days USA - $6.99 - Standard shipping time is usually 5-10 business days
And these ones on Amazon (12 count) have shipping of $3.34. That's not bad when you consider how much your time and gas cost chasing these around. Good luck!
Thanks for your input :) I'm gonna order them and give them a try with onboard audio (MSI Gaming 5 Z97) - should be fine to drive those headphones. I may pick up a the E10K eventually though, even if it's for the convenience of the volume dial.
I'm assuming you have these headphones?
Add some double sided tape to hide a run around thresholds.
Way too expensive at $110. As well there's counterfeit A118's on the market as Viofo (original manufacturer) had their designs stolen. Viofo recommends SpyTec on Amazon.
Cheaper would be to get it overseas, GearBest is selling it for $48 USD.
I bought this antenna for $20: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00ACDE6FU/ref=pe_386430_121528420_TE_dp_2
I now have 10 channels (all buffalo unfortunately due to the angle of my apartment window) but still better than fish 24/7!
^That's ^why ^I'm ^here, ^I ^don't ^judge ^you. ^PM ^/u/xl0 ^if ^I'm ^causing ^any ^trouble. ^WUT?
You can find listings with Realtor.ca.
Couldnt tell from your post whether the $1700 was total budget or just rent. These units typically need both hydro and gas to be paid as well. They have a garage with entrance, ensuite laundry and dishwashers. Not sure about a garburater, but compost is collected weekly. They're Daniels built though so it's going to be hit or miss on the construction quality.
Good luck with the search.
