It kind of depends on the phone you have as far as the camera. I personally recommend Snapseed for editing though. I've tried a few others and this is by far the best IMO.
I use Afterlight (for a quick and dirty) and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC (if I want to take more time).
These are mobile platforms ofc but Afterlight has a windows app I think.
Fair enough. Though having a tripod is a huge priority of any photography since it helps you take the best picture possible especially for astrophotography. Something like this might be good since you can put it on almost any surface as long as it's flat and you can set it on the ground, for example. Though I guess you are not into that sort of thing.

Thanks for sharing this buddy, your photo just gave me a whole lot of new ideas. I'm guessing you used the fiber optics led light brush like this. But just have one question, are your brush strands in white color or black? Please suggest some tips with it, would love to get an insight on this since you've been doing this for quite some time now.
I recommend Snapseed. Lightroom CC's paid version is a little better, though. I also use apps like VSCO and Polarr, but only for quick editing and some specific things (like overlaying text).
