I've had some luck with video game soundtracks for Numenera - a particular stand-out for me being the Endless Legend ST by FlybyNo.
Or you could try some of the spacier Synthwave stuff - like Star Citizen 426 by Ellen Replay (for example)

For moodier, city-based RPing I really like Bohren & der Club of Gore and other darkjazz stuff (Heroin and Your Veins, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, etc.)
I've not used this personally, but there's also https://tabletopaudio.com - which provides ambient sounds for all kinds of settings.
Crazy I know :)
But grid was made with combat in mind, and every square is immediate range (4 meters, or 10 feet), so if you move 5 squares you get short range, and if you move 10 squares you get long range. If I made them any bigger I don't think that you could feet 10 squares in both directions for long distances.
But I'll make a new version with those changes and post it later today.
here it is :)
I think Barnes and Noble has one of those leather bound Complete Works books of Lovecraftian horror for $20. Pretty sure my husband and I own it... (He's Bigger into the mythos than I am. I dabble in it, but have yet to read it all.)
ETA- This book is just the Cthulhu stories. This one is the one we own, it's his complete works, if you're interested.
If you can't find groups online in your area I would recommend checking out Roll20 for groups and r/LFG keep in mind that finding a good groups online isn't easy and requires a bit of work.
Depends on what you plan on doing if you want to be a player the character options are good for that, if you want to do some GMing the Bestiary (more stuff to through at your players) or Tech Compendium (more loot to through at your players) are good at that too also if you wanted to explorer the whole thing with Torment the explorers guide would be good for that.
No, so far Monte cook makes his money by making supplements for the game and there has been no word about a new edition that I know of. But he might do a new edition some time in the future who really knows?
I would say it is moderately popular, the video game I suspect would bring in a few new players into the game but nothing significant.
Good luck on finding a group.
Numenera Discovery + Destiny is $78 on Amazon right now. These are the two core rulebooks you likely want. The case is pretty nice, too. We're intending to use these two books -- and only them -- to launch our campaign.

I was looking for that, I have the doubleTwist app for my android phone, and it's got podcasts I can subscribe to. I searched for Game Master's Journey, and the app has an entry for it and a little tagline to go with it, but no episodes. I can just dl the podcasts from your website of course, but I like using this app, was just wondering if that was something you had to like, authorize them to offer or something (I don't know how this stuff works).

Are you looking to play, or GM? You could start up your own local game. Check r/lfg, r/roll20LFG, or meetup.com. Meetup was great for me finding like-minded people I could introduce to Numenera.
There's another game in the works called The Strange that is basically the Numenera rules in a different setting.
The only legal high res one I'm aware of is the one that came from the Kickstarter a while back (not the original Numenera one, but one specifically for the map). You might be able to contact the creator and work something out (if he isn't selling them already or something).
FoundryVTT has a community member working on a Numenera system and the character sheet is pretty functional at the moment. New features being added frequently.
I'd also recommend music by Trentemøller, specifically The Last Resort album.
Additionally the Portal soundtrack may hold something you can use. You can get it free here.
Thanks for the all of the replies. I just got everything together to beta test through Apple's new test flight program. I need an email address, and you'll be able to download the through iTunes. You can read about it here: https://developer.apple.com/testflight/
I submitted the app for beta test review through Apple so it may take a couple days to show up. This process is faster than submitting an app release on the store.
And here is the smile.amazon.com link. If someone orders it through that link, a portion of your money will be donated to a charity of your choice.
Thanks for posting this, Laughing Penguin. I just pre-ordered.

Having them be more visual makes them easier to spend quickly too.
