You can open a PDF in LibreOffice Draw to make minor changes (e.g. fix a typo). Or you could use an online service like Zamzar to do the conversion. You can also extract text and images using various tools.
Use one of these two websites to convert the epub files to an Amazon-compatible AZW:
And if this is something you run into a lot, you might want to consider installing the free Calibre program, which is widely considered the best easy way to convert ebook files.
I have students that still use WordPerfect. Zamzar offers free, fast file conversion so you could work on his stuff without the crap characters. That being said, you would have to keep converting after he added more.
Zamzar can handle this, but I agree with someguyfromcanada about getting OpenOffice or LibreOffice.
So the weirdest thing is that I manage to find a lot of fics I think I'd like from livejournal's spn_storyfinders community. People post descriptions of specific and/or types of fics they'd like to read and about 5/10 times they're specific and/or types of fics I feel like I could get into too. Not to mention their tags are convenient if that one post didn't render fics I hadn't already read.
So with a brilliant stroke of luck I came across this. Maybe it's already been linked here but they're PDFs of particularly great & long stories that the authors have since taken down for whatever ungodly reason (the livejournaler is ethical however; she's gotten permission from these authors to keep the links/pdf files up on her journal).
I had to convert the pdf to mobi using this & I was in business re: my kindle.

Behind Closed Doors Series by Phx
Gen, R
Summary: They left him behind to keep him safe. Little did John r Dean know, Sam would have been much safer with them.
Commentary: epic gen bro love yaaaaaaaaas!!!! Hurt!Sam & BigBro!Dean!!!!! Also pretty nonstop action/adventure!!!! Spans from preseries with Sam 14/Dean 18 to Sam 22/Dean 26. So good I couldn't really put it down.
I already had this made this for /co/ on 4chan and read your comments, so here ya go! https://www.dropbox.com/s/wrgb6v84n8shcjg/thirdwheel%20pass4.webm?dl=0 Mind you, it's a webm, so it's not a gif. But it is higher quality. ... okay, here's this too: http://www.zamzar.com/convert/webm-to-gif/
In one thread at the Apple discussion forums someone recommended http://www.zamzar.com
I haven't tested it, and I also don't know how much I would trust an online service with sensitive documents, but if it's just some older school work or something, I'd try it.
Download the video. Typing in "Youtube to mp3" into Google will get you some good sites. I recommend this one.
Put it in your iTunes library.
Right click on the song, select "get info", and go to "options". Change end time to thirty seconds.
Click on the song, go up to file, select "create new version" and choose "create AAC version".
The file should now be a m4a file. Go here and convert it to an m4r.
Add the new song to your iTunes library and sync your phone. It should be under a list of available ringtones now.
There's probably an easier way to do this, but this is what I do.
Can confirm. Someone is definitely being a dick.
As far as an answer to your question, why not just download a gif version from gfycat and then add the sound back that way? Alternatively, package as an mp4 and then convert perhaps, http://www.zamzar.com/convert/mp4-to-webm/
Oh, I was pretty good at this. The Pirate Bay is sometimes helpful for torrents. You're really not likely to get caught torrenting textbooks IME. Otherwise google search it and throw this in your search along with the title and whatever else you think will help:
allinurl: +(pdf|chm|epub|azw|kf8)
(this isn't just for PDFs though, it has other formats; you can change these into PDFs here http://www.zamzar.com/ )
Zamzar. I tend to use that for things like this. Especially handy for converting the latest office formats to OpenOffice, which every true /r/frugal reader should be using anyway.
most iphones use a different audio format than mp3. You can use this free converter online to do that for you: http://www.zamzar.com/convert/mp3-to-m4r/
I assume they are saved in your downloads folder
Here try this version. It's formatted for your kindle. Let me know how it works!
Both ways work, but I'd suggest you host it yourself, using the video tag. Make sure to convert the mp4 to webm (you can do so quickly and for free on many websites, like Zamar). Then place the webm source tag before the mp4 source tag. If the user's browser supports webm, (which are videos much smaller in size compared to mp4) they will download that instead.
Did you make sure that the audio file itself is a .ogg file? That's the only type of audio that Unitale can load with Audio.LoadFile
. Perhaps you can use a free conversion site like Zamzar to convert your music files to .ogg if they are not already in that format!
Also, be sure that your sound file is in the right place. It may sound silly, but misplacing files is something that happens frequently. Make sure that your file is in the "Audio" folder of the correct mod and not some other mod.
Also, here is a tip: When posting code on reddit, it's best to use a site like hastebin or pastebin to put your code in. That way, code won't get all jumbled up. Although, if you still want to post your code without using a website, make sure to include four spaces before each line - this will make the code look natural, like this:
function EncounterStarting() State("DONE") -- You can also replace indents (tabs) with four more spaces! end
I got it working as a desktop background guys
Use Zamzar to convert your webm files to wmv and or mpg and then use dreamscene to set those files as your desktop background
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium
http://www.blobber.org/index.php?id=18
http://www.zamzar.com/uploadComplete.php?convertFile=webm&to=wmv
I found one copy of it buried in a remote board on the net (3gp format). Here is a 24 hr link to a MP4 conversion.
It's sized for mobile, but the file is clean.
Have you tried online converters? That's what I usually use and they work pretty well. Try Zamzar for converting MP4 to WEBM
Edit: The thing with Zamzar is that you are limited to 100MB. If your file is larger than that, try using Easy HTML5 Video.
------OR------
Use this website to convert the file into a Word Document.
VLC Player should be able to play webm files. Try Zamzar for online conversion of webm files to gif. There are programs available that can do offline conversion. Search for Webm to gif converters'.
/u/Kichigai is 100% right. Be a little more patient.
What tool are you exporting from? What's stuck at 0%? What did you edit your video in?
Here is a free online tool that will convert .WAV to .AAC (the audio format of .MP4)
I make all my covers in Word, something I do not tell my graphic design friends. I use zamzar to go from a PDF to a JPG (I get the PDF by simply saving the Word file as a PDF). You don't actually need an account or anything to use zamzar, they'll convert it and send you a link to download your JPG from within minutes.
With the file extension given it becomes easier to look for an editor.
http://www.blogyourearth.com/en/smartphone-2/3gp-3ga-mp3-converter/2599
You might also want to give the free online converter a ride, and edit in audacity the resulting mp3.
I used this when I had a bunch of stupid publisher .pub files I was trying to view on a Mac: http://www.zamzar.com/
It's a free online tool to convert between numerous formats. It'll email you the converted files and allows you to upload multiple files to start.
(A combination of Excel for Android, this site, and Photo Layers got me this rough draft. I'm happy with the result.)
(Edit: Well, up until I saw the Imgur quality anyway)
(Edit 2: Anyone know if posting an image to Reddit will have the same problem?)
not technically possible afaik.
PDF is a one way road, its meant by design to be able to produce PDF files easily but very hardly to take that PDF to any other format.
Every solution out there is done by reverse engineering since PDF is not an open format and adobe has not and nor will publish it ever.
zamzar and small pdf wont and cant even talk about whats under the hood because its done using reverse engineering. the best you can do is make do with what you got or compromise allowing the tools you want under restrictions http://www.zamzar.com/faq.php#Q37
Simple. GarageBand is an audio editing software, and can only import certain audio files. It seems that you're trying to import a video file, which GarageBand can't do. You can easily convert the video (mp4) to audio (mp3) here: http://www.zamzar.com/ I tested Zamzar to make sure it wasn't a spam or virus download site, and it is clean (just don't click on any of the ads). If you're not comfortable with downloading things from sites, I can always do it for you and sent you the audio file. Otherwise, best of luck and happy "GarageBanding".
Easiest way I did things: http://www.zamzar.com/convert/mp3-to-m4r/ Open up iTunes and connect your iPhone --- Drag the m4r from iTunes into your Tones area, or sync your phone with iTunes. Worked for me every single time and it's not too bad.
Shit like that is why I went back to Android.
You'd need to re-save every file in a format that Office supports. iWork saves files by default in .pages, .numbers and whatever, which Office can't open, so you'd have to open every document, and save as a Word doc, Excel and etc.
You could also try this to do it automatically, but I haven't tried that.
I see what you mean. I did get it to work by jumping through these hoops:
This is the actual URL for the oh deer! mp4 thing:
https://i.imgur.com/cCRwRpd.mp4
I used firebug bookmarklet to find the mp4 URL - Tap on Inspect tab, then tap the mp4, then tap on DOM tab and scroll down for URL. Here's how to get the bookmarklet:
https://iosbookmarklets.com/firebug-lite-bookmarklet/
Once you have the URL you can use: http://www.zamzar.com/url/
To turn it into a gif.
A bit of a pain but it is possible.
Dwarf speed is not reduced by heavy armor. It's listed under speed in the PHB.
I took the general layout from the some characters I found online. I export them as a pdf, then use http://www.zamzar.com/ to convert that to a gif.
There might be a better way but this is how I do it.
Okay. I've tried to convert the formula in cell C4 and C5 to a real formula (EXCEL SHEET: http://www.zamzar.com/getFiles.php?uid=248eba4c989b0f2023eba65e87ad5-532cbcdd87c16db1&targetID=12Sr3NF0Ch8sOBNQrQinrOM_ZDHIILMpt). But if I for instance need the sum column C (Hours) or D (Savings) and the people looking at the formula should be able to understand the meaning of it without the excel sheet. Is it then possible to write in the formula that the criteria of the group it shall select is "Works" = "Yes" and it should take the sum of "Value" or "Hours"?
See if this link works. Its an m4r file, which is what iPhones use for ringtones. It may be different for Androids. Let me know if I need to change it. http://www.zamzar.com/getFiles.php?uid=c489631a62170cccc5b2a8aa37c506f-4a41c4f28305011&targetID=pmVo4ovEokmjaZ3aE0P2tw_I_I
No, not that- I tried playing it on piano, does this ring a bell? http://www.zamzar.com/download.php?uid=e7bbfbf01dd61dccc64f653771f9ed-e5a2365174b7d2b2&targetID=pmVo4ovEoknMoafki0cHnw_I_I&fileID=p1aa6jjdgf12p71iri1ksu3k61c204.mp3
... Did you only rename the files from .mp4 to .mp3? If so, it will never work. Try using a tool like this to convert your files... renaming them does nothing.
There exist different screen captureing software, you can even use vlc, and use online gif converter!
Have you tried adding DisableVertexBufferObjects=1 to the Game/Graphics Options section in the .ini file?
And how about the Anti-Aliasing/Anisotopic Filtering?
Also, you can use Photoshop or Gimp to save the images as something else, or get Sagethumbs to convert them on your computer.
Also, there's this: http://www.zamzar.com/
It's not the most elegant solution in the world but short of messing with Linux and/or converted Android apps the only way I can think of to do this is to either use this SumatraPDF webapp (you'll need a free Cameyo account too) or run the .chm files through one of those cheesy online file conversion things.
Yeah, just have to make sure they're in m4r format, and move them to Var/stash then on of the internal folders will be names "Ringtones" place it in there, and it'll show up in settings>Sounds :)
Edit: You can use this http://www.zamzar.com/convert/m4a-to-m4r/
or if they're personal files you don't want online in any way, Then simply drag the file onto your windows desktop, and make sure file extensions are enabled, then change the extension from .m4a to .m4r and email it back to yourself to place in the appropriate file system path.
It just means they're not GIFs and they're a little difficult to share/use on other sites that's all. If you all want to use these on say Tumblr, etc. Use: http://www.zamzar.com/convert/webm-to-gif/ to convert them.
Record your game as an MP4 file. Make sure it's not too big. (less than 100 MB) Go to Zamzar File Conversion and upload your video. Select the option to convert it to a GIF. Put in your email and click convert and in about 5 minutes, a link will show up in your email inbox. Download this GIF and drag and drop it onto Imgur. It will take a few minutes, but it will be a high quality, very large and excellent GIF! :D Here is an example of a post I did using Zamzar
The best online tool I have found to do the conversion is this: http://www.zamzar.com/convert/pdf-to-docx/
Other than that the only other good converter I have used is importing it into LibreOffice: http://www.libreoffice.org/
From the manufacturers website, your device only supports the following formats: ePub eBooks Adobe DRM protected , Adobe® PDF Adobe DRM protected. the .azw format is specific to amazon's e-readers such as the Kindle. However you should be able to convert the them using free online converters such as this one: http://www.zamzar.com/convert/azw-to-pdf/
I guess it never really struck me how fast comets move compared to the background stars until I took these photos.
This gif is made from a set of a bit more than a dozen photographs of Comet Lovejoy C 2014 Q2 taken on two nights.
Each of the dozen or so subframes taken 27 Dec 2014 are 100s exposures at iso 800(?) taken over about an hour.
The 3 images taken over about a half hour on 28 Dec 2014 are 120s exposures at iso 1600 with a 120s pause between images.
No stacking or complex processing here, just some adjustments in iPhoto before converting it to an mp4 using keynote. Subsequent conversion to .gif format using Zamzar.
Equipment: Meade 8in SCT, Canon EOS 40D, Orion mini autoguider
There are many great Webm to mp4 converters. I personally have one downloaded on my computer, its easy to just drag and drop dozens on files in at once. You can download it here.
I also just found this great free online one that works just as well (but it takes awhile longer).
Nothing really has changed with the way resource packs work. At least not to me. Also, it isn't difficult to change the types. I use Zamar to covert media files to .ogg format and I use vlc to listen to them.
Also, I don't really need suggestions now. I'm thinking of putting of a bunch of Kevin MacLeod songs in it. (He made all those songs you hear in Minecraft videos and the like. Here's one you might know.)
Super converter has almost all codecs, but it's hard to use imo.
If it's a single file (or if you have a lot of patience), you can use the online service Zamzar.
Yeah I will see what I can do. I work monday through Friday regular hours so I will send some stuff next week. I mean my program uses .rou files but most people can import .dxf thats why I said it.
I use the latest version of enroute
I will either send you pdfs or you can convert the dxfs to pdfs or you can use this
http://www.zamzar.com/convert/dxf-to-pdf/
if you cant convert them on your hardware
I have everything from comics, sports, video games, and some practical stuff kicking around. Here are two other things I made recently too. Sometimes I do real work too but dont tell my boss
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=webm+to+gif :P
I used Zamzar. The result is not very good. Not sure if a different service would offer a better conversion. It's also 3.5MB, compared to the 5.15MB HD gif, and the 1MB low-quality gif.
You can convert files with online tools. its really not hard at all, and probably nearly lossless.
try this, it saved my ass on a research paper that i saved as .docx and needed to be some other file type.
The download link on the Youtube page is down because it was hosted on MegaUpload, but my friend found a mirror where you can download the song.
You could convert the PDF file to a DOC file using an online service like Zamzar and then do your editing in MS Word or the software of your choice. Once you're finished making the necessary changes, just save the DOC file as a PDF file.
It's kind of bootleg but you could try screen capping the animations you wanted, use http://www.zamzar.com/ to get individual frames as png files, and then use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739512 to build a live wallpaper.
Use this to download the audio (select AAC and use a disposable email). Then edit the file in Garage Band. When you're done, use Share > Send Ringtone to iTunes.
Or use whatever editor and downloader. Ringtones simply need to be in AAC, max 30 seconds length, and with .m4r as an extension. If you drop such a file on iTunes it will show up under Ringtones.
