What's been the hardest for me to accept throughout all this is that the rich minority just got fucking richer again, and the poor got screwed in the process, like always.
Just like with the corporate and political corruption we read about every day, today, the cold calculating scam artist got what he wanted. The SB Champion Patriots got what they wanted. And our team, who seemed very accommodating and supportive throughout this entire process, was duped and screwed. And there will be no repercussions.
I don't care about the 5th rd pick; we signed several undrafted FA's. The 3rd is a bit harder to swallow.
But what hurts the most is that in this world, being a heartless scumbag will get you success, money, and probably superbowl rings. Whereas people who aren't total assholes, like Gruden - who probably won't press charges for wiretapping - get stabbed in the back. Psychopaths climb the ladders of our society with ease. Such is the world we live in, and today was yet another reminder. That's the hardest part for me to get over, especially with all these celebrities celebrating AB's "mastermind genius chess finesse" on his instagram posts. Mack's trade was arguably a win for everyone involved. This is only a win for AB and the Pats.
In terms of yards given up per game they are currently #9 after today. Not the best stat to gage a D but it's probably where Carr got #8.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/total/sort/netYardsPerGame/position/defense
Also, ESPN shows Amerson and Peters tied with Josh Norman for this year.
Not sure where Levi is getting his stats from.
I got you covered!
Cruising ESPN, I found this. Scroll down a bit and you can hear about 30 seconds of King talking about running that ball.
Feels great! But I feel we are having too many close games.
We are entering the tough part of our schedule. I need to see our defense being better than worst in the league on pass D and 30th in rush D before I start getting my hopes up.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/rushing/position/defense
But we are making adjustments, we are improving and we are winning. As a longtime fan, I have not been able to say that for years. JDR is proving me wrong, Crab is proving me wrong and now the defense needs to take it home.
Here is the Amazon link to buy it online if you can't find it locally. Derek Carr Funko Pop
I"m actually really excited to purchase this. Awesome find
I front pocket my slim wallet next to my phone cuz I would always be paranoid I lost my shit. You'll get over tapping your back pocket in a month or 2. I got a cheap one from Amazon with the magnetic cash holder joint cuz I rarely hold cash. You'll be surprised how much shit you don't need in there. When them threads pop out just hit em with a lighter flame and you good. I "upgraded" from a $300 Versace jawn that had a fat medusa head on it that was killing my sciatic nerve. BTW that designer shit crumbles just as quick as regular shit or quicker. Wallets, belts, sunglasses all that shit. Cruise that sub u/buyitforlife for some real shit if you over that flex stage in your life. Just tryna put you up on game I wish somebody told me lol.
If you use SwiftKey (keyboard app; link is for Android, but also on Apple) you can tell it to not correct to a certain word until you tell it to again.
No, it's on there. You might not have noticed the Raiders Podcast Network.
Eddie Paskal is part of that network. Him and JT The Brick do mainly personnel interviews with more recent (or, current) personnel, and another gentlemen on there named Jerry Knaak mainly does interviews with past Raiders personnel.
Eddie Paskal's is called 'Upon Further Review'
JT The Brick's is called 'The Game Plan' (for some reason, despite really not talking much about game planning..)
Jerry Knaak's is called 'Once a Raider, Always a Raider'
They all just, almost exclusively, do personnel interviews collectively as part of the Raiders Podcast Network, as mentioned in the post.
Here is one For anyone that wants one, there is a groupon coupon for 5 bucks, girl at my office hooked me up. Will have mine in about 10 days! Groupon Coupon for those who want. EDIT: added groupon link
Just in case...
> there's no reason to doubt their abilities.
Literally the worst in total defense in the league and we got 200YDS of penalties against a mediocre team that lost it's 1st and 2nd string RBs.
>I don't want to hear any more of this shit.
It's not shit, it's facts. I love being 6-2 right now but we are heading into a very tough schedule in arguably the best division. Hold on tight because shit is about to look a whole lot different, all these teams we beat are @ or below .500.
>State of the Nation Raiders
Just figured to drop an update for any future searchers, as well as for yourself (you seemed to be wondering why they didn't have much going on now):
State of the Nation now appears to be a subscription-only podcast (as ridiculous as that sounds, lol).
It's run/hosted by Vic Tafur of The Athletic.
I'd noticed on their last "free" podcast in March he said something about "we thought we'd do you guys a favor and put up another podcast on this Antonio Brown trade" (as if nobody knew what the fuck to think unless Vic Tafur/The Athletic told them what to think..). He said it towards the beginning, which then prompted a quick search as to what was the new "subscription" he was talking about (it's a paid one, now..).
No idea why in the hell anybody thinks people would literally pay to just listen to their opinions on things, lol. Like, seriously, what's he going to have... the same people on that other people have already had on? Access to the same statistics readily available everywhere else? Talk about the same topics everybody else is talking about? Sometimes I don't understand The Athletic, lol. A bit pompous/think way too much of themselves.

On the other hand, the Locked On Raiders looks interesting - looks like, at least as of this writing, that "Your Boy Q" runs a DAILY Podcast from Monday to Friday on it. Way more frequent than a lot of other Podcasts (though perhaps understandably so).
And looks like it's only $40 now, today (Thanksgiving), so they may be running a Black Friday promo.
So now taking 20% off of that would bring the initial cost on this down to only $32.00
.. and there's free shipping on orders over $19, so, shipping cost would be free also.
If anybody doesn't want to give out their personal email for spam reasons, just use a throwaway email:
Here's a good website for that.
You'll still get the email for the promo (will load on that page) then you can just use it, and move on.
Minimalist Wallets (sometimes also called "Slim Wallets" - but they're not always the same thing) are even better.
You can hold ALL your needed cards and even some cash (if you actually still carry cash around..) and it takes up way less space - you can literally just fit them in either your front pocket, or better yet, the small extra front pocket present on almost all pants (the one that we never seem to actually make use of, despite it being there).
The Radix One is one that's a really great one, very slick, modern, sleek and easy to use (here's a non-affiliate link to it on Amazon) - I have nothing to do with them, it's just a nice wallet.
Get one and never look back. Seriously. You'll wonder why you lugged around a bulky, clunky wallet all those years. It also has the bonus feature of being way less likely to be pick-pocketed since 1) pick-pocketers generally aim for traditional wallets, which are generally in your back pocket, and 2) somehow managing to pull these minimalist wallets out of your small pocket without you noticing would be much harder to do (they'd have to get right in front of you, generally lift your shirt up a bit, and pull it out of a front pocket which has a higher tension band/seam going into it).
You'll also stop fading and wearing down your pants where your old wallets used to be.
I love Derek Carr a lot, but this is not true.
Matthew Stafford 1/1/2012 at Lambeau Field: 520 Yards, 5 TDs
I see it. Link.
Interesting. Unfortunately, yeah we're a Raiders fan-base and this is clearly labeled as being a "List of Raiders Podcasts" - looks like they are certainly pretty consistent (a definite plus), but yeah their content is all over the place.
Even just a quick look shows they've had a ton of things not related to the Raiders - they've had multiple things on Golf, quite a few things on the Niners, Kyle Shanahan, Madison Bumgarner (a baseball player..), Russell Westbrook and CP3 (basketball players..), the British Open, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, Nick Bosa (a 49er), a discussion about baseball extra innings rules, the Warriors, Kyle Lowry (a Toronto Raptor; a basketball player..), on and on.. that was way too easy to type out lol, and only took about 15 seconds of looking at their episodes to get material for it.
If they had their Raider content actually separated out it would most likely end up on the list, if nothing else at least as quick bites (similar to Bill Williamson's "Raiders Snake Pit"). For example, their Karl Joseph podcast was just 5:39 long. Others are about ~15 mins long it seems - bite-size for podcasts.
For what it's worth, I'm considering adding a second table that's clearly labeled as not being of the same class as the first (ex: the posters are technically still around but questionably active, the podcast is behind a paywall, or things like this where you can't depend on it for actual Raiders stuff so you'll have to manually filter through everything - but occasionally there may be something there, if you've got a minute to spare). I'd actually found an international podcast before (from Brazil?), but the guy was way too infrequent to recommend to people (he'd barely had a few this entire year, and we're going into August already lol - he hadn't posted since like basically April from what I remember).
Interesting. Here's a temporary link for now, eventually found them (they're not the only ones with that exact name, there's some other ones that cover 'tabletop role playing games', etc). Their posting schedule seems sporadic (they just went ~10 weeks without a single thing?). Other than that looks like they were, prior to that, posting about once every other week. Need to run out the door right now but will give them a better look later when I get a quick second. Looking at it real quick right now though I think it'll be added, since before the recent long break they seemed at least relatively consistent (~every other week or so).
Thanks for the heads up!
> most accurate and current information out there
Yes and no. This (ibabuzz) was my favorite blog back when Jerry McDonald was running the show. Steve Corkan took over this summer and it's been slowly going downhill. That article "Checking out some NFC teams while Raiders travel to Denver" for example. Holy fuck, I had no idea why that was posted.
Jerry was/is the man because he's not afraid to write the truth, even if that includes calling out Al Davis... and precisely why I now follow him on Twitter! He posts his articles (now on insidebayarea.com) and tweets once in a while. He's fucking great; everybody should read his work.
terrible quality if this is the one I heard before. I listen to The Raiders Daily. He has a great show and does a "Raiders Daily" bit inside the show that's usually 30 min to a hr long. He streams live and they sometimes upload ONLY The Raiders Daily part on Mixcloud https://www.mixcloud.com/TheRaidersDaily/ The regular show is awesome if you like sports and comedy and has guest that are "insiders" on TV and pro wrestlers ect ect. It's kind of like Howard Stern show if Howard talked some sports for a little while. The host is a mess which is pretty much the show. He talks about panic attacks and about John Elways huge teeth.. Good show..He has a new segment where he will call you if you hate him and he will talk to you. He loves when people hate him
Is this the figure 8 Loop? https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/utah/wall-street-and-queens-garden-loop-to-peekaboo-loop-figure-eight-trail
If so, that looks fantastic given the photos. And it's a pretty easy hike too given all the reviews.

This is from the Russian version of Facebook. You gotta sign up though. I signed up and was able to watch all games from last year including the Niner game. Seems to be legit

Great question OP - currently I would say Smash Bros Ultimate and reading Presidential biographies. Halfway through this monster of a book.
Read this book for some great history of our best era. Welcome to the Nation!
I'm reading a great book right now it's called Badasses: The Legend of Snake, Foo, Dr. Death, and John Madden's Oakland Raiders by Peter Richmond, and it's fucking awesome and a great read. I'd totally recommend it.
I've been doing this since last season. I live in Los Angeles and there's no discussion on the Raiders. You can download the tunein app on android and save 95.7 The Game radio station on the app. I usually stream the station on my train ride to work. I love to hear fan reactions to a win or lost. Plus, the morning crew, Chad, Joe & Lo analysis of the Raider game is very informative.
