If anyone is interested in checking the book out, here's the Amazon link. It's available for preorder as an eBook, and the paperback is set to launch in August.
>The Collapse follows the how of a viral outbreak, taking you on a heart-wrenching journey of familial love.
Karen Gallagher is a mother, a wife, and a scientist, and her past is catching up to her. As the world falls victim to a viral pandemic, Karen struggles to keep her daughter safe, forced to turn to the people who burned her all while harboring an awful secret.
A few months back I gathered the public domain post-apocalyptic comics I could find and added them to a collection on Archive.org.
I think I got a couple from the site in the OP.

"Free drinks while they last. Post Apocalyptic Costumes welcome."
Sound like a fun time.
If it's okay to mention my own work (self-promo), I prominently feature characters with disabilities in "The Underlighters" - and discussing how disabled lives are perceived is a topic in the book. Mental health issues and serious injuries (including lost limbs) affect many of the characters. Mental health in particular is a running theme in the book.
Self Advert: A Happy Bureacuracy is my post-apocalyptic parody where a tax agent must audit the wasteland. I’m also a fan of Benjamin Wallace’s Post-Apocalyptic Nomadic Warrior series and I adore Weapon Brown.
Maybe check out Nature's End by Whitley Strieber and James Kunetka, the guys who wrote Warday.
"The year is 2025. Immense numbers of people swarm the globe. In countless, astonishing ways, technology has triumphed—but at a staggering cost. Starvation is rampant. City dwellers gasp for breath under blackened skies. And tottering on the brink of environmental collapse, the world may be ending …"
I did that one in audio also I think, but I didn't finish it. Not because it was bad, but I have a bad habit of just losing interest or forgetting about what I was listening to if I take a break for a while.
I think I was doing the Librivox version the last time. I see that there's a professional recording on Audible. Maybe I'll spend a credit on that and try it again.
Hi Everyone!
This is my first novel and I am self-publishing it, so please forgive me in advance for sharing it around. I am hopeful this is an ok place to post about the book since it involves a post-apocalyptic world. If you are interested, here is the link to my book:

It is on Kindle Unlimited if you use that service so you could check it out for free. Here is the blurb on it if you want to know more:
Meddling gods. A magical card system. An apocalypse no one could have predicted.
Jake is working at the neighborhood market under his apartment when the world ends. He expected nuclear war, a computer virus, or even climate change burning everyone to a crisp to bring about the downfall of civilization. But cruel and arbitrary gods from another world? Who would have guessed that?
When these cruel gods shuffled Earth like a deck of cards, nothing was in the same place anymore. Monsters, dungeons, and magical items appear scattered across the globe. And suddenly, everyone has access to a new, strange magical card system that gives them magical powers.
Jake, wasting his day slacking off in the cooler, as he usually did, found himself alone in a completely new and very dangerous world. Can he learn to survive? Can he collect enough cards and create a good enough deck to fight back against the monsters that have overtaken his former home? And why are these strange people that look a lot like elves knocking on the door of the market he is hiding in and asking to buy some of his goods?
The gods may have stacked the deck against him, but Jake just might have a few cards up his sleeve that will help him survive.
Thank you for taking a look. If you have any questions or thoughts I am happy to chat!
I wanted to extend an offer of my zombie outbreak novella in paperback form at 30% off regular paperback price to at least 5 fellow zombie lovers (shipping not included; currently only shipping within the United States)!
I added the opening excerpt as well as one of my favorite scenes in the book in the pictures above.

Hey! I’ve posted about my novella a few times before, but this week, the eBook is on sale for $.99 (it’s also free through KU and sold in paperback form).
I’m trying my best to kickstart my writing career because honestly, this is all I want to do now (besides hang out with horses). This is the first in a planned trilogy and the first of many more stories to come.
Here’s the Amazon link if anyone wants to check it out: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BDFBN89

And if you’re into zombie outbreak stories, I actually just published Book 0 (it’s a novella, so quick read) in a planned trilogy. It’s available as paperback, eBook, and through KU: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BDFBN89
I’ve officially self-published Book 0 in my series, The Collapse!
Anyone enjoy outbreak stories?

Could be the Snowfall trilogy. I think they get to Mexico at some point. Don't remember enough detail to recall the Texas Rangers though.

I'm currently running a sale on 'The Ridden' today for $0.99. Get it while it's cheap. :)
People called them different things when they first appeared, Walkers, Cryptids, Infected, the Ridden, the most popular was also the least apt, Zombies.
Chris stumbled out of his cheap motel room after the worst night of his life and straight into the apocalypse.
This is not your normal zombie apocalypse story, for as Chris was about to find out. It’s not the monsters he needs to worry about.
It’s the humans.
New on Amazon Prime: Ravagers, 1979.
4.5 on IMDB ...stars Richard Harris
Very simple post-apocalyptic story, but the settings almost redeemed it for me, very fallout-ish, so if you like the game(s) you should probably give it a watch, certainly no worse than the film adaptation of 'A boy and his dog'.
"In a post-apocalyptic world divided between two groups called the Flockers and the Ravagers, an adventurer and his "pleasure girl" try to find their way to a rumored safe haven called the Land of Genesis."

I really appreciate your time and hope you enjoy Virulence!
Looks great! Have you read the book "Sea of Rust" by any chance?
Similar setting (humanity wiped out, only robots remaining). One of the best scifi books of recent years.

Wow, thank you for asking! At this time it is Amazon, the box set gives me the best return (even at a lower price from the other books combined), gives me the exposure to be seen by others to buy, and a review on any of the books gives me credit for those on the fence to read them.
