I can appreciate the difficulty in using the Kaossilator pro as an instrument, and not merely a looper and sampler. I have been working with one for awhile. Not sure what your technique is, but I find my workflow is to record to a digital multitrack unit, and do the work there, but one could as easily do so on a DAW. Things I try to keep in mind when working with the Kaossillator to mind my key, scale or mode. Keep everything in the same keys or relative keys for a good blend. you can find some of my examples here

Do you have any extensions? There is also a website called Tune My Music which allows you to sync playlists, and transfer them from streaming services, but you'd have to be paying for that so you would know already...

Well if you're looking for a free program to make beats, I recommend LMMS. It's pretty simple to learn and great for starting out.

I also recommend getting Audacity if you're making beats for other people, it's great for recording and mixing vocals.

It will only let you download only verified songs with the google play version, but if you look through the options it will give you links to other app stores, and those versions will allow you to download any song you like. It also includes tag editing before the download, and will download and embed any album art as well.
