I own 12 of these. I keep a couple at school, one in my purse and the rest at home.
Buy ones with large round bases, those are perfect for modern Korean outlets.
The likelihood for a Seoul job in February/March may be hard this late in the game, but you might be lucky and find a school just in time! The fact that you already have your apostilled documents is a HUGE plus, as most schools are hesitant to hire applicants without them since the process takes a while. If you could, I would get your diploma apostille now and scan it.
My suggestion when applying to schools is mentioning that you have all your Apostille documents ready to attach (Diploma and CBC).
On to your questions:
Ooo, I got you! This groupon is the one I did for EPIK. It says 150 hours but took me ~40 hours, and that was with very serious studying (not skimming/skipping sections). Good luck!
Check facebook and sites like meetup.com, look for language connections (or something similar) in your city or a city closeby. It should be easier than having to go to Seoul all the time and they're a great way to help improve your Korean if you choose to!
I didn't take CELTA but I took a TEFL certification online I got it from groupon here is the link. I don't know if this will meet the requirements for EPIK but I don't see why not.

Also I have been researching this for months because my bestfreind and I plan on teaching in S.K. in January so if you guys want to live near each other, stay close to each other, or work at the same school you would definitely have to apply to hagwons because from what I've read EPIK won't place you guys together and you won't have the option to pick which city you want to be in. You can PM me if you have more questions. Good Luck!
They're saying it's the worst storm to ever hit Korea and I keep seeing stuff like this so I'm not sure. They say it's worse than Maemi which was the previous worse typhoon to hit Korea
“Small Group Discussion Topics for Korean Students” (PNU press) is good ISBN 978-89-7316-4523
Also “Global Topics” level 3 ASIN: B085Q1XRK6
What type of plug adaptor do I need to bring to Korea? I've seen both type C and F - are these the same?
Will this work?
What type of plug adapter do I need to bring to Korea? I've seen both type C and F - which is more common and are both the same.

After the end of the course, you submit some documents for review and if you pass, you can download the certificates.
Good question! You'll find advice tends to polarize into two general philosophies:
1) Don't do an online TEFL, do one at a university with classroom hours (or do a CELTA).
2) Get the cheapest online TEFL possible.
Side note, I'm getting back into teaching this year (whattup Vietnam?) and going to get my CELTA to retrain and to improve my resume. Life finds a way, I guess.
Good luck!
The only other thing I've used is Kakaotalk.
It's like Skype, but it's free as long as the other person also has the app, anywhere in the world. You can do text, send pictures, voice calling, or video calling. Need wifi signal.
That's the only free phone I'm aware of, but you can't call a landline phone number or anything like that.
There’s a great website called https://www.genial.ly
If you have time, maybe create an escape room. They’re easily created and not hard to make. They already have some premade escape rooms and you can just type in your information and hints and questions and things
I had a place that tried this once (not to much success). They used the "Focus on Pronunciation books by Linda Lane". It wasn't too bad to use, but it's hard to make a class all about sounds (especially for Middle School and older).

Just look up laptop or PC power cable. Just have to get the right ends. Korea uses a universal plug. But gotta pick the right one that connects to your brick. Something like this.
Depends. Songpa-gu is quite large. Is it close to line 8 or 5? If not, Bundang maybe better.
If Bundang means Jeongja or Pangyo, shinbundang line would take you to Gangnam in 15 minutes.

Naver map- English version maybe helpful. Go explore the street view of your neighborhood.
I recently finished all the paperwork to get a job in Korea. I understand it can be a lot of research. You can message me with questions after you look for some Google answers.
As for a book on Korea's history, I listened to this and enjoyed it: Korea: A Very Short Introduction By Michael J. Seth https://www.audiobooksnow.com/audiobook/korea/3890732 Also on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086MFPBNG/
T-balance check can show the balance on physical cards.

Just buy an adapter. I purchased this pack of two adapters from Amazon before I left for Korea last year and they work great.
This one: https://www.amazon.com/Practical-English-Usage-Michael-Swan/dp/0194420981
But this book is only necessary if you have students that have challenging questions about English usage (high school, uni, adults, etc.).
Huh, well when I check it says they have $60 and $75. Not that just those two denominations are any better; not worth it if you have some credit already and just need an extra $10 or something.
I would try other sites then. Spent hours trying to get other cards/PayPal to work, but no matter what I tried I couldn't get it to work. Best of luck to you!
Well I put links in my first comment to the ones I found (if you click the $60 or $75 it should take you to what I saw). I don't know why they didn't show up in your search results.
Will put them here for you too: $60 - https://www.amazon.com/20-PlayStation-Store-Gift-Card/dp/B00XJZHJCA/ref=lp_7326755011_1_7?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1528503009&sr=1-7&th=1
Hopefully one of those works.
Severance is not "one month of wages", and Severance is not taxed with the income tax deduction of 3.3% and no Pension or Health is deducted. In addition, the Severance will be based upon the average of the last three months of wages, a % of the "Bonus 1 Month", plus 3/12's of your unused annual paid leave (15 days when you complete 80% of your contract) and since you are getting a "1 month bonus" then your severance will be well over 3 M KRW.
As for the Bonus, you will have Income Tax taken (3.3%) and since is it a Bonus, and not part of your ordinary wage, or annual wage, then it should not have the Pension or Health deducted the devil is in the details of your contract and you can double check with the Korean Labor Law Bible located here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kLabor.mhybrid
