I've been studying French off and on for a few years now and one resource I used a lot was the app Duolingo. It doesn't have a massive time requirement but has the basics for A1 and on. I actually ended up taking French in college and they use this app in their curriculum. Hope this helps!
Duolingo is available for android and it is a great way to learn another language. I am an english speaker and have used it to learn conversational french. I look forward to using it to learn Arabic when that course launches.
>!Duo is canonically a boy (or at least uses he/him). This is Duolingo's latest changelog message and source on Google Play!<
Duolingo, it is a language learning app, but kind of in a "mini-game" format. You get XP, and achievements as you go. If you are looking to learn a new language give it a go, it's completely free and no ads too.
" All u had to do was learn that damn language CJ !!" "

You fool, I raped this man and nutted all over his face. Only if he had done his Spanish lessons on time, he would have been alive with his kids.

Duolingo it's limited to ones like Spanish, German, French, Italian and some others, but they're working on adding new ones all the time. I've tried a bunch of apps and this is one of the best IMO.
Duolingo: Game-like foreign language learning. The website version is more comprehensive though.
Antistress - Relaxation toys - For those times when you want to destress with a game, but don't want something too involved that only makes you stress out more (no need levels, lives, etc), this app is perfect. The dev is super active. There's an IAP but to be honest you don't really need it as most of the content is free. Most of the so-called "relaxing" games on the Play Store just made me stress out * more* when I lost. This one actually helped me relax.
I'm trying to learn Japanese, too (just really basic reading in anticipation of a trip there later this year).
I downloaded the duolingo app on my smartphone. It's available for free here for apple and android The Japanese program is only available for smartphone and not on the web version of duolingo, which is too bad.
I'm sure an app doesn't come close to in-person language instruction. But maybe it's a start!
>Estoy haciendo Duolingo en la casa, pero quiero una cosa que puedo hacer en mi trabajo.
Si se puede usar el telefono en trabajo, entonces puede usar la aplicación.
I see, I'd recommend you to check duolingo It's a great app
It can be a good way to start learning any language (including arabic) in addition to increasing your vocabulary base
Sir I guess that you clearly don't understand what "Gamification" word mean. The delimitation of this on Wikipedia is Gamification is the application of game-design elements and game principles in non-game contexts.
And if someone wants to do this, so that children shows in learning programming this is something we should support not just arbitrate without knowing or having any background on this topic.
And let me tell you as a programmer. Writing programming can be so many things but addicting. Because when you get a red line aka the error aka the crash trust me this is something you would not like to be around that. Because you want everything from a program that you wrote but an error.
And errors are frustrating not just for kids but also for fully grown adult. New comer sometimes just give-up and ask to their senior or teachers. If someone want to make this like a game, something that children likes. Count me in for that. And Gamification is not that bad I've used an app called Duolingo. And this app used gamification very thoughtfully.
So if you don't know about something so some research before forming your opinion, I'm still new this WhiteHat Jr I'm open to discussion.

While I don't agree with your solution haha, I encourage you to keep learning English. Mine isn't perfect but is much better from when I first started. Maybe you could try Duolingo. Have a nice day. :)

>Duolingo - Learn Languages for Free. Duolingo is one of the best English language apps today and highly recommended for English beginners
Try Duolingo https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duolingo
It's really awesome for learning languages.
There are other language learning apps as well, which I find to work a lot faster than watching videos with subtitles.
Duolingo is free (I used it and it's fine): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duolingo&hl=en
50 languages - all inclusive (around 12 bucks): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.goethe.p50languages
It looks like the latest version of the app on Android is not compatible with all devices.
On the play store from a web browser, the latest version is dated December 15 (two days ago). But even if I uninstall and re-install duolingo today on a Nexus 5, it installs version 3.13.0, which is dated November 24, and has no Russian.
You should learn the German language.
If you're an Android user I suggest:

Oh, damn, I actually forgot to give you the name of the app. Sorry, mate. It's called Duolingo and it's completely free, it has French and several other languages with a good teaching methodology.
Skype is good to learn with people from the said country, but you get a little dependent on the person's available hours.

Sorry that doesn't work here - here is a link:
That's always the rub. The couple times in my life I've gone through super-productive spikes, I've wondered what made it different from the times before. I've seen comments on various subreddits (personal fitness, self-directed learning, hell even playing SC2) that make a variety of recommendations, but they ultimately break down to "how do I get motivated to do those things you recommended?" Ever hear "it's not motivation, it's discipline?" That shit drives me nuts. If I were motivated, I could engage in the behavior regularly enough to establish the habit you call discipline. The trouble is I'm not. So I don't.
In my case, it just seems like a lightbulb goes off, or a switch flips, and stays on for a certain period of time before I slide back into lethargy.
I can characterize the switches, but not what made them flip. Mine tend to be realizations of platitudes you probably already know, like:
Thing is, it doesn't do me any good to read those when I'm not motivated. I just say "duh, that's why I'm going to start working hard as soon as I get done typing this comment on Reddit, and finish reading the 6 tabs I have left, and check how BTC and ETH are doing, and get another glass of Diet Pepsi, etc."
I have had some success extending periods of motivation with stupid mind tricks to fool me into thinking I'm making real progress when it's really just incremental. This is stuff like checklists, daily trackers, phone apps that give you cheevos for day streaks, etc. Most of those, unfortunately, are really geared towards exercise... but stuff like DuoLingo will be great if you hate losing a daily streak (currently 91 days in a row Russian), or Loop Habit Tracker (40 days in a row drawing, 30 days in a row hitting step goal). Anki is great for memorizing large amounts of information quickly (came in handy in law school). I use absurdly easy daily goals: this way I at least do the activity every day, and can "get motivated" to at least begin them, which is usually the biggest hurdle. My current daily goals:
The great thing about seemingly small goals is that you can shame yourself about how horrible and worthless of a human being you are if you can't even meet those low expectations. In reality, I seldom draw for less than half an hour a day; but on days where I might be tempted to skip drawing, I will boot up my tablet and sketch just for the sake of checking the box, and not losing my streak.
If you're into podcasts, you should check out last month's "Self-Improvement Month" series on the Freakonomics podcast. There was some good fuel in those!
I am not affiliated with any of the resources pimped in this comment.

I definitely recommend at least learning the alphabet, which isn't too hard.
Here are some good free websites & classes:

Good luck!
You could also give Duolingo a try. For example on Android.
Install the Duolingo app available for both Android and iOseven you can use their web version. (You can follow me there if you don't mind)
Best resource is https://www.nhk.or.jp/lesson/english/, I've learned some phrases from here.

Happy learning! If you want to learn Hindi you can ask me anytime
DuoLingo on your phone is free. Works well too!
Acho que duolingo faz o trabalho.
Duolingo or Memrise first. You can use them in 5 or fewer minutes sessions, and when you know the basics you could add Spanish learning Podcasts to your learning. And then consume media in Spanish and speak in Apps like Yenga or Tandem.
If in the future you want to pay for Spanish tutors I would go for Verbling or iTalki.
If you want Spanish-English exchange I could help with your basics. Send me a PM.
>learn a new language.
There's an app called Duolingo if you really want to try a new language.
To learn danish use DUOLINGO https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duolingo&hl=en
Duolingo is an amazing free app to help learn new languages.
It uses basic teaching mechanics along with simple games to help adults pick up on common words and phrases.
Learn some basics in another language.
You could run through duolingo lessons?
I'm assuming you already know about Duolingo?
Duolingo is a great way to do it.
You're partially correct, but I think you're using the wrong tense here, and maybe you've missed that some parts only apply to the web version ("for now").
> You do know about half, if not most of the questions HAD a comments section where people COULD discuss and share resources right?
Commenting is gone, the forums are gone.
I can view the discussion page - if there is one at all - when I'm doing that specific question, but even if I have the direct link to it, I may or may not end up on their "Sunset" page [https://forum.duolingo.com/sunset] if I revisit it "from outside of a lesson".
([https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/27425855/Para-dos-personas] did work just now, but other similar pages does not work for me - and those that work are locked from new input.)
I'm just hoping they're re-introducing something later on.
and
> On the app, for some of the courses There's also a button you can hit before trying a class where they talk about grammar, situations where you'd use or avoid certain words/phrases, as well as other concepts that I certainly haven't found in a lot of my bilingual dictionaries, grammar or phrase books for different languages. Some of the pages even have declension charts that you can copy into your notebook for later use.
"New on Android: language tips! Tap the Tips icon next to certain skills to get helpful explanations of grammar, pronunciation and useful phrases. Now available in our Spanish, French and Chinese courses, with more to come!"
The "with more to come" has been there for the last few updates since it was introduced.
You could try Duolingo as an additional training. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duolingo
>We do not speak Ukrainian, but I would love to learn
Since the post is already translated, here are some great resources for learning Ukrainian that I've used/am using:
1) The Duolingo course. When you create an account, you have to do one lesson before you can use the rest of the app, but once you've done that, press the "ж" button at the bottom for an excellent way to learn Ukrainian Cyrilic, and then, you can go back to the rest of the course ( duolingo.com / https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duolingo / https://apps.apple.com/us/app/duolingo-language-lessons/id570060128 )
2) If you prefer textbook-style learning: https://ukrainianlanguage.uk/read/index.htm and ukrainianlanguage.uk
3) A monolingual dictionary with declension/conjugation of all listed words, if you're unsure about a word form: https://lcorp.ulif.org.ua/dictua/
4) This is what I used back in 2014 to start learning Ukrainian: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCmMLaatszo3vVHusmAumPz19pKOg9ADI , https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCmMLaatszo2-Di-kp2lHeSmv_S-uENDV , and https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCmMLaatszo2NY4Kz4JEAsz4K6iTA7b3w

I wold say to focus on formal Arabic (alfusha) accent comes later. and learn speaking first, because it's easier as they have rules that are agreed upon by everyone, unlike accent that can change every kilometer, so how?
watch Arabic content doesn't matter what kind of content, the goal here is to be familiar with the sounds, do you know how foreign language can sound like a background noises? idk if this makes sense but after a while even if you don't know what they are saying you will be able to hear the words properly.
and for that I suggest watching the news(as they tend to speak very clearly and formaly) which will give you insight into the Middle East that might help in starting or joining conversations. exampels:
https://www.youtube.com/c/AlArabiya
https://www.youtube.com/c/aljazeera
https://www.youtube.com/c/ajplusarabi
https://www.youtube.com/c/SkyNewsArabia
https://www.youtube.com/c/bbcarabic
also, there alot of big Arabic youtubers with subtitles with good content. watching them will help you learn commen used words. examples:
https://www.youtube.com/c/BanderitaX
https://www.youtube.com/c/Egychology
https://www.youtube.com/c/Telfaz11
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFq4pOuTiZmfJyCxaYTT3Hg
https://www.youtube.com/c/OmarHuss
https://www.youtube.com/c/MiniWorldemee
watching kids shows is a great idea (the vocabulary is formal (alfusha) and simple) and with expressive nature of cartoons, it becomes easy to understand. and some of them teach words and alphabets examples: these kids shows are everywhere so I will give you the name in Arabic and copy paste, you change the number to watch the next episode (search in YouTube)
المناهل حلقة 1
عالم غامبول حلقة 1
هايدي الحلقة 1
نقار الخشب الحلقة 1
فريج الحلقة 1
سالي الحلقة 1
https://www.youtube.com/c/ahlansimsim
I heard that songs make learning a language easier, and I think you might be able to find some with subtitles (some of these are cartoons intros). examples:
you can try watching shows or movies? but they would be harder to understand as they would have accent that could very alot depending on the region of the character and the plot may be hard to get. so maybe after you have a better grasp of Arabic. idk alot of Arabic films so these are just show that I like examples:
خواطر الموسم1 الحلقة 1
سوار شعيب
I almost forgot to mention kids songs! the are amazing for learning a new language. and they tend to be educational, i highly recommend them examples:
take your time in getting familiar with the language, after you feel like you're familiar enough, start learning the alphabets and how to read them, there is 24 "official" letter -the "unofficial" letter are technically not letters but rather just another form from some letter although some natives treat them like they are letters- each has multiple forms depending on where the letter in the word, also they have multiple sounds, you know which sound to make depending on the harkat -like: ُ - here is a good lesson on them:
these are some practice sheets for letters: there is no translation but you can get what you have to do
you will take a while to memorize the alphabets: how they sound and look in all variations, but after that reading would be a breeze, and it will come down to learning meanings
so learn new words. you probably know some language learning apps, they are great starting point, check them out, any one of them will do but this is the one I know:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duolingo
personally I think the best way to learn words, alphabets, and all around the language is through books, so here is some examples: ^(I haven't read any of them but I hope they are any good)
https://b-ok.asia/book/3317898/656f6b
https://b-ok.asia/book/5952119/54132f
https://b-ok.asia/book/3291701/48f733

https://b-ok.asia/book/673462/75a182
https://b-ok.asia/book/3160678/0bfc3c
^(all books are free)
lastly, don't hesitate to ask arabs on anything, as they're very welcoming to anyone who wants to learn the culture in general. as I can garentue that they will help if you ask.good luck.

Well, there's a subreddit for it: /r/svenska
^(Really: Is there something there isn't a subreddit about? ;)^)
Other than that, I don't know really.
ninja-edit: Some people seem to be excited over Swedish being a new addition for Duolingo (iPhone and Android), but I have no real experience of the app. I've recently been trying it out for brushing up my German and Spanish, but can't tell how far you'll get with an app like that since I'm still just going through the Basic courses.
