Right now, there's only one way to get GBA4iOS without jailbreaking. You will have to try the BuildStore (which costs $9.99 per year, on one single device no jailbreak, and you won't worry about revocation), or you have to wait for GBA4iOS's certificate to be updated if you don't want to spend money, since it was revoked by Apple last month.
NDS4iOS is working right now, because its current certificate is not yet revoked.
Coming from someone who has a lot of beefs with iTunes on Windows, it works decently for me. It isn't the greatest, but there isn't really an alternative so far as I know that can install apps and sync Audible audiobooks.
It should come with at least one Lightning cable that will sync data and charge. It's just USB.
For remote torrent clients look into the buildstore.
Previously you could install an emulator by changing the date on your phone. Unfortunately, I believe that method of installing apps was patched out with the release of iOS 8.1. As it stands now, if you're running the latest iteration of iOS, you have to pay a $10 yearly fees at http://builds.io and download their emulator. It apparently still works without a jailbreak and on iOS 8.4.
I've not tried it personally but I'm sure others on this sub have but they are legit.
The easiest way to do it is to sign up for the Build Store at http://builds.io. It costs a few dollars per year per device, but you don’t have to fuck around with jailbreaking or sideloading or re-signing every week or anything like that. Once you’re signed up and your device is registered, it’s as easy as using the real App Store.
You could try out http://builds.io. I've used it myself (and you can find plenty of other people who have). GBA4iOS is on there, along with other apps. The downside is that it's $10 for access to their selection of apps (including GBA4iOS). The good news is... they work, no jailbreak required.
Otherwise, yes, jailbreaking is pretty awesome and you could get GBA4iOS that way as well. Downside is that it's more work and maintenance. Upside is that it's free.
You basically sign up and pay a very small fee, install a profile onto your phone, then after that it's just like downloading apps from the App Store.
Here's proof of it on the latest beta version of 9.3 on 6s+
http://builds.io allows you to install Flappy Bird as well as iTransmission (download torrents), emulators and some video and music apps. It is $10 a year though, but works on non-Jailbroken devices. Oh and I'm sure Flappy Bird is available for Jailbroken users so it's kinda available for someone that wants the thing. By the way, is it just me or is it a poorly designed increadilbly frustrating, shitty little game?
Apple fixed the "date change" method but you can still register your UDID on sites like builds.io and get it that way. Costs $10/year but given how much all those apps would be on the app store I think it's an alright investment.
Sure thing! You need to sign up for Builds.io or a similar provider, which signs it’s applications to allow you to install non-App Store apps, then choose Provenance from the library. It can run GameBoy, NES, SNES and Genesis games as well as PS1. Find a copy of the game, which you ~~can download online~~ own and copy it to the app either from iTunes or via DropBox.
If you do decide to use http://builds.io enter my code and you’ll save 15%, and I’ll get money off my next renewal: NVVYDIZ7FT
I use something called "Facebook ++" via an "edited" appstore (not jailbreak) via website called http://builds.io
I originally bought a year of service through it for somewhere between $10 and $20, I think. I bought it for running an emulator of the old pokemon games on iphone, but it's not the same tapping the screen to move rather than using a D-Pad. Also, emulators on PC would be faster because you can speed things up... lol.
...But, I digress. The bad thing about Facebook++ is there are some minor ads, that you have to click this small X to close. You can get rid of them by paying for the paid version or something, but I don't find the ads too bothersome.
For $10 bucks you can download it - I know it cost money but you dont have to jailbreak plus you can download other emulators and some other apps as well
here's the link, I purchased it and it works perfectly, but it does cost money.
You will absolutely not be able to use the date trick anymore.
If you want to get MeSNEmu without jailbreaking, you must sign up for the BuildStore, which costs $9.99 per device per year.
Wow, an app actually comes out on Android before iOS. Any timetable on when an iOS version might be out?
It obviously wouldn't be released on Apple's App Store but could appear on http://builds.io or others.
try this website they charge about $7 but they have "banned" apps which apple won't allow on the AppStore and you don't have to jailbreak.
It's really worth it as they have emulators and other thing.
Currently the only way to get it on 8.1 and up (including the current 8.3) is to register your UDID with someone. You can try builds.io or if you find a different one you just check if they have GBA4iOS. It will cost about $10 to register though.
Builds.io. $10/year and works like a charm. You get a slew of emulators as well as media apps like moviebox and musicjunkie. I originally just got it for the GBA4iOS and I haven't had an issue with it since.
You can jailbreak. Or you can just pay $10 and install all the "jailbreak required" software you want. Builds.io works like a charm. I don't see how this product is going to make it with all these great emulators out there, with all the ROMs to go with them.
This is indeed impossible at the moment, unless you pay 10 dollars a year for the http://builds.io/ app.
You should take a look at /r/gba4ios
Also take a look at http://torrentfreak.com/popcorn-time-releases-jailbreak-free-ios-app-150407/
This was their reply to me. They had to do something to my account but try the link in this message and see what happens. Make sure you do it in the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad...
Hey! Great news for you: our tech team did a great job, and we are ready to automate the account reactivation process! Thank you for being with us in these turbulent times; we value your trust and support!
Please, open this link on the device you need to get restored (please make sure you log in using your registered email): http://builds.io/support/restore_device/
Usually, it takes up to 20 minutes to set your account up and running again. So follow the link and give our service some time. Note: afterward, you need to reinstall (delete and install again) the apps before using them.
Significant work has been done, and we are getting closer to recovering every revoked account. Besides, improving our service is a never-ending task for us.
Please do share your feedback on Twitter: your public support is really important now.
If you believe that the issue wasn’t resolved or have any other problems with your account or apps, please share screencast/screenshots with us, and we’ll reach out shortly to assist.
Delta works pretty well.
Riley (creator of Delta) also created https://altstore.io if you have a Mac to do the compiling. I personally use http://builds.io, which manages enterprise builds. They get revokes on occasion (every few months), but they follow up with an account extension.
My friend this is not a certificate issue but instead an install issue likely related to you updating your phone. Have you used their repair link? I triple checked after your comment and I'm still able to enjoy all my ROMs with no issue.
Buildstore.io repair link: http://builds.io/support/check_device_status
If it won't open it is likely still related to the certificate. While the build store doesn't get revoked, sometimes it can be impacted by software changes. You'll need to click this link to initiate the automatic certificate repair and you'll be golden. http://builds.io/support/check_device_status
iemulators gets revoked all the time. You paid for the non revoked buildstore certificate. I'd encourage you to get it working instead of using the quick solve of going to iemulators. You'll hate yourself in the long run in a week or so when you cant play anymore and you lose your saves.
Buildstore support is incredible, but maybe try using this link first to see if it fixes your issue: http://builds.io/support/check_device_status
Here’s the IPA: https://iosninja.io/ipa-library/download-delta-ipa-ios
You can use Cydia Impactor to sign it yourself but you’ll need to resign it every 7 days manually. Instructions are below the download link on that page.
I think the BuildStore has it now as well if you want to pay. http://builds.io
I updated to iOS 10.3... so I had to delete apps, clear safari cache, hard reset, then back to their site, logged in, reinstalled UDID, and tried installing apps. It still didn't work for me, so I had to use this link to have them reregister my device.
http://builds.io/support/check_device_status
Hopefully, after it finally registers, I'll be able to download the apps again. This is definitely not my first time going through this process. But in the past it has worked.
EDIT: the self-fix link works and it took about 20ish minutes to finally have my device recognized and able to download apps. GBA4iOS is back on my device and running normally again!
u can download GBA4iOS from buildstore it's $9.99 and your certificate won't get revoked. Before I bought this, mine got revoked. So I went on iTunes (with my phone plugged in) scrolled down to the app section and copy all the data from GBA4iOS into Dropbox. Once you buy the version from build store, plug your phone I and copy them back to the new GBA4iOS you've downloaded & all of your saved data will be back.
Go to this website http://builds.io and pay the $9.99 for the membership. It'll then let you download Kodi and a few jailbreak apps without having to jailbreak. Worked like a charm. I've done this for a few IOS devices. Never fails!
Provinence works really well too. You can get it at http://builds.io/. I know nobody likes to pay for emulators but... for 9.99 a year per device you can play every console from NES all the way up to Nintendo DS straight off your phone. Plus a lot of the emulators sync your save states to your Dropbox. Paying sucks but it makes putting emulators on your phone ridiculously easy.
build store so far has been the best option. $10/yr. but right now they are offering free accounts after you get 3 paid accounts to use your link before you get a few account. and yes using your link with your paid account counts as 1 of the 3 needed.
http://builds.io/ $10 a year and never worry about the cert being revoked. It also seems like iEmu's link is currently working but will probably be revoked soon, play it while you can. http://iemulators.com/gba4ios
Easiest thing to do is to go to http://builds.io/ and just pay $10 for the year. It allows you to sideload apps such as Kodi. You can also download the Moviebox app which has the TV show you're looking for.
Edit: correct link
It's the best thing in the world haha. I paid $20 and put it on my ipad and iphone.
Anyway, follow this link "http://builds.io/?"
Or if that doesnt work try this one: http://builds.io/?aid=1036
You create an account (green sign up button).
Once you do that, it will take you to a page that installs a profile on your phone. You have to enter your phone's password to complete this.
Then, you pay $10 via paypal.
It takes about 5-10 minutes for it to complete, then you are free to download multiple apps through the website. They offer emulators, and movie apps (like moviebox which basically gives you every movie for free).
Once the emulator is downloaded, search for the roms you want to download on google. For example "pokemon emerald rom" Download the rom, then click open with button, then select gba4ios and you're good to go.
I was very skeptical at first, and I've only had this for a few days but this is WELL worth the $
On iEmulators, you can get the emulators "GBA4iOS", NDS4iOS, and iNDS (although I recommend iNDS because it has more features and runs faster). However, at the moment, they seem to be revoked from the last time I tried to install them.
There's an SNES emulator if you want to play KSS and KDL3, but it probably requires date trick only for device below iOS 8.1
In order to get them without risk of them stopping from working due to certificate revocation, you have to get them from the BuildStore. It costs $9.99 per year for one device.
In iOS 9, in order for the device to trust the games, once you install them, make sure to go to Settings>General>Profiles and trust the company that should be in "Profiles" to make the emulators work.
I recommend that you get a 64-bit iOS device. You should have iPad Air 1st gen or later or iPhone 5S. In my experience, more demanding NDS games run very well on iPad Air 2 or later and iPhone 6 or later.
This kept happening to me but I bought it on the build store for 10 dollars and I don't have any trouble playing GBA4iOS. I'm also playing on iOS 10 public beta. Buying it seemed to be the only way to make it work.Build Store
http://builds.io is the easiest way to do it. But it comes with a catch: it's $10 if you want to use it. The good news is that your money goes to them keeping the server up and running, and because it's a legit app distribution server, you don't have to do any of that hokey nonsense of changing the date or anything. $10 gives you access to all the apps on their store. I use it myself. It's not as sketchy as it seems. In my opinion, it's been worth it.
This is waaaay late but try
It used to work without jailbreak. Let me know how it works out for you
Edit, just looked into it more. You'll his have to pay for this
And then you can get it. Still without jailbreaking but you'll have to pay. Looks like it includes emulators for a ton of old consoles and a bunch of other stuff. Probably worth the ten bucks
Did you download it here? If so, Apple revoked the certificate so the app no longer works. From the looks of their website though they released a new install two days ago with a new certificate that should work. The alternative is to download it from the buildstore.
Edit: The new one from June 5th is revoked as well now.
I'm assuming you installed it recently from iemulators. Here's the update from their site:
>GBA4iOS 2.1 has finally been revoked by Apple. It had a good, surprisingly long run! We'll look into bringing it back again. Don't forget you may install this and many more emulators with a BuildStore account! May 16, 2015
Edit: Didn't have time to say this before, but just to clarify, once Apple revokes an app's certificate, it will not run on your device anymore. It checks these certificates whenever your phone starts up so by turning it off and on you revoked the app and can no longer use it. Fortunately, you can still install it from builds.io if you want to.
Sorry to tell you this but after the 8.1 update, the date trick will no longer work. You can though, go pay a subscription to the buildstore(i think that's what it is called) were they will give a you a mock developers license to allow you to "test" their apps. The apps they have on there are apps you could normally only get if you were jail broken but since you have a mock developers license you can install them onto your device. Tons of emulators are available on there. The subscription is 8.99$ per year I think. Edit:link
Not really an app...but I recently decided to "rent" a developer registration for my iPhone. Basically, these kind fellas will register your device with their servers and you can download any apps from their website. It's $10 a year...but on there website are tons of emulators (GBA, GBC, Sega Gen, SNES, NES), utility apps and more. The website is builds.io if you are interested. IMO it was totally worth it.
The BuildStore has a series of "test" apps that you can download from their website. It is $10 to register your device, but the product is very legit.
Sadly, DS games feel too small the 5/5s :(
Pay $10 and register your UDID with builds.io. You get GBA4iOS and a bunch of other emulators/media players. And you don't need to worry about not updating your phone in order to keep playing Pokemon. I'm running iOS 8.3 and just played Emerald this morning during my commute.
Builds.io is pretty straightforward and simple. $10/year is really not that much for the content that you then have access to. I mean it's not free for them to register your UDID so it's only fair that you'd pay for it. You can check around with other UDID registration sites though, may cost less.
You can install it via builds.io. Was looking for a workaround myself til I found this. Works like a charm.
Only downside is you've gotta be willing to pay $10 to access all their apps.
You can torrent and use emulators using http://builds.io / https://twitter.com/builds_io
You don't need to be jail broken but it does cost $10/year. I'm registered myself and can confirm that it works.
