I agree. Patch notes should be like Paladins imo.
Actually, that was two patches ago, but it's still pretty clean. I feel that patch notes on realm should resemble something like that.
And another thing, I also agree with you on the damage scalings. In my opinion, I feel like it could've been scaled down a teeensy bit more (maybe to at least 150% at legendary), but this is absolutely fine. I also would like them to tone down headshots: maybe a 1.5x multiplier just like Paladins? .<.

Keeping Things Fair
Hi-Rez was fully aware of the comparisons to BF2, and made sure to avoid taking the same route. Yes, the chests will eventually be purchasable with real money, but they're really not hard to earn with the in-game currency. Plus:
If you play Ranked, you don't have to pay for shit aside from champions, and more than likely you'll settle into a small batch of those.
Seems like this’ll be all the champs that will be balanced in their mid year balance thingy (i forgot what its called). They showed us 5 of it in the patch preview.
Edit: oh wait the patch notes for the full balance changes was with the pic i saved. link
Either u/HiRezChrisL was confused, or he's just suddenly decided there's going to be a sale and the page that u/HiRezAlyssa was referencing hasn't been updated yet.
Can one of you two please clarify?
Kunoichi Skye had her volume fixed in 59 and is on par with the normal skin.

Edit: Yes, Evie is being looked at as well, and will be addressed just as Skye was, if that wasn't clear.
This weekend you can play with any champion, all champs are unlocked, along with coin bonus. It's because of Halloween event.

so uhhhh, this was a surprise

apparently Paladins (another hero shooter that almost rivaled Overwatch before) is giving away an Amelia Watson announcer voice pack (its deep down in the patch notes, just scroll down, you wont miss it). All you have to do is to play 5 matches in their latest patch. This is surprising considering that ame played Paladins only once, so them partnering with hololive is something

Hey! That post was passed on for people to check out. It’s also important to note that there will be a level requirement of 10 to send gifts per patch notes.
They really have been. But people have mostly stomped on those statements, considering them corporate bullshit, or just flat-out lies.

>Paladins is even more free to play
>Essence was confusing for new players
>Got deckbuilding anxiety? Don’t worry
>Opening Card Chests: It’s Actually Fun Now
>It’s the ultimate free-to-play competitive mode
>We’re moving forward with this system because we believe it will make the game better for all of our players
>The vast majority of our players will never spend a dime. Regardless of how much money you have in your wallet, we want to make sure you have a great time. Our number one priority as we introduce Cards Unbound is that the free-to-play experience feels great
>Therefore, upon the initial release of Cards Unbound, there will be no way to directly purchase Radiant Chests or Champion Card Chests with Crystals; they may only be unlocked via Gold or playing the game
Now, I'm not saying that the system is good for players, or less P2W, or anything like that. I just want to point out that Hi-Rez has been trying to explain that this system was specifically designed to make the game more welcoming to new players and boost player retention ("It’s Actually Fun Now"), and they deliberately made steps to make it not look like a cash grab.
I've heard many opinions on them. Some people say it's Realm Alpha, hence the theme of Realm Alpha being an 'alternate universe'. Others say it's the Shattered Desert, a landmark mentioned in the Fire and Ice lore (https://www.paladins.com/lore) which is something got to do with a shattered moon, which could possibly play a major role in upcoming lore/events.
I thought I remeber reading a newspost about it when they made the update that it and the kill cam was causing problems with each new hero they added, and that it was doubling dev time as they were having issues with it keeping track and playing back vs actual gameplay.

Yes, we are missing that! I'm working on it right now, a lot of us took yesterday off after working all weekend at HRX!

We expect to allow Crystal purchases of those same Card Chests in OB65, but we may delay this."
Another major change in this patch that strongly benefits new/low level players:
>ECONOMY AND PROGRESSION
>At present, cards are too difficult to unlock. It’s always been our goal to offer meaningful character progression as you play Paladins, but as we have been listening to feedback and monitoring our data, it is clear that the time necessary to acquire cards is too long.

I tuned into a streamer link last night that was off their esports news page, regarding the tournaments this weekend. It linked me to a livestream of some lady streaming some competitive.
She made it all the way to champ select before she got the psychadelic bug, had to restart the game and join the match late.
It's like pubg all over again. Esports ready™ boys
Just noting that there is an alternative version of this that can be found on the street style page of their website.
Hrmm.. No announcements over the discord and nothing on twitter either (as far as I could find), this patch also had some issues with incorrect prices being displayed so there's a chance it's just a visual bug.
It is however on the main site.
Likely an unannounced sale for black friday that hasn't been fully implemented on steam yet. I'd just wait a few hours before buying.
> • What's the point of removing 'Death and Taxes and 'Sapper Rounds' when they can pick both caut and wrecker now?
The general reasoning for the removal behind talents like Death & Taxes and Sapper Rounds is as follows:
>"Developer Commentary: One of the important aspects of Paladins’ fun is the flow of each match. Players start fairly durable, but as offensive item shop picks come online, aspects like tankiness and healing are diminished and lead to more intense final moments. Cards and Talents that circumvent this disrupt the flow and lead to unnatural moments of weakness early on that persist throughout the entire game."
Source | 2.01 Patch Notes
> • Why removed 'Firefight' when Tyra and Vivian both have bonus damage?
We don't know the reasoning, but it might just be because Firefight was probably the least rewarding talent Viktor has. Its just a mindless damage buff. To be fair, Vivian has this as well, but she at least has to fire continiously for 2 seconds whilst Viktor needs only not use Ironsights, and Tyra's damage buff is only against marked targets. That being said, Vivian needs Opportunity in Chaos removed because its boring and uninspired, and Tyra should probably have her marks (at least with Hunting Party) nerfed because they're pretty damn crazy.

that will tell you everything you need to know.
One thing I'd like to note on
>When will the game be out of beta? I think we have the right to know.
Developers aren't big on giving hard or even soft dead lines to the public. Sometimes they're not even sure and the last thing you want to do is make a promise you can't keep. So unless they're really really really 100% positive nothing can go wrong at all, they won't give dates.
It puts an necessary stress on the game and the back lash isn't worth it. It's why most devs don't do road maps.
The head and body are rewards for playing 10 hours with a referred friend.
The weapon and voice pack unlock when you get 3 referred friends to reach level 15. (vp isn't listed but is from when we split up skins)
Recently they updated their ban policy so hopefully this changes things where they will take action on players who violate the rules
https://www.paladins.com/news/developer-update-may-2021-suspension-ban-policy-update
You took two sentences out of a 3,000 word blog post that's mostly dedicated to talking about how they're doing better, what they're working on, what they've cut and how they've revamped their monetization since that period where they were losing money.
If Paladins were bleeding them money, they'd shut it down - they've shown that they aren't afraid to do that, just look at Tribes.

Paladins got much better rewards. They got a chest for every 1h watched, 1 Rare/Epic skin and a Legendary Skin. So you could get up to I think 10+ chests.
Check it out for yourselves: https://www.paladins.com/news/hrx-rewards
Not right now, but the next patch will introduce some changes to the card system, basically limiting your progress to chest RNG. And also, a huge amount of loadout customization will be removed from ranked. Go here for more details.
Great advice. Regarding OP's experience, it sounds like Variance at play. Essentially, after losing a bunch (or perhaps lack of data if they don't have a lot of games on record), the system becomes confident they are not where they belong.
So their MMR drops and the swings up or down are bigger. As they are losses, it's a big drop down. As they start to win, lose, win lose, the system sees the performance is at the expected level and thus both gains and losses become smaller (this coincides with having 20 more games worth of data and thus more confidence).
Were they to win more (or win versus teams the system expects them to lose to) the system would see that and lose confidence in the assessed level perhaps opening the opportunity to advance quicker or even be promoted multiple ranks upon reaching 100 TP.
The same mechanics that allow for a hard drop down also allow for a quick climb up. Because of the way TP interacts with everything, climbing is arguably the easiest it has ever been. Though a player needs to maintain that performance to actually stay there.
Bad luck can absolutely occur and everyone faces the same odds, the same chances of having bad players on their team. But the system is built to account for that and outside of specific regions at specific times, most of the players on most platforms will end up where they belong if they keep at it and follow good practices like those you've mentioned.
I've linked this around quite a bit, but it never hurts to drop it again for anyone who missed it: https://www.paladins.com/matchmaking-faq/
Paladins also does this but is F2P with the option to unlock all characters current and future for $20. They just barely announced they're only going to release one character a month when they've been doing two per month almost all year.

He does not mean there is one singular bug in the game. He means they take The (Bug) Hunt seriously. Just missed some capitalization.
1: Im guessing you are using the free rotation champions, which you can only use while in rotation. If you OWN a champion you can use all you want ant buy skins, emotes, etc.
2: A Prowler is a mount (for every hero) that you acquire by linking your twitch prime account to paladins.
3: You buy chests with crystals. Some skins (more rare) come from chests , while some (more common) can be bought directly, without the "lottery element" , with crystals.
4: I recommend well rounded so that you understand the goal of each class, and understand how to counter them. Also, front line and support are essential so you should be fine for the most part class wise.
5: A battle pass gives you special rewards as you gain battle XP, the battle pass must be bought seasonally

>What makes you win/lose more TP
As far as I know, nothing that you can really control.
It seems to be based on the hidden ratings of yourself and your opponents. If the matchmaker favors you and your team to win a game and you end up losing, you lose a higher amount of TP - If it expects you to lose and you win, you win a higher amount of TP. If it expects you to lose based on your current opponents and you do lose, your TP loss won't be as drastic and vice versa.
It just depends what the matchmaker is pairing you up with currently.

While you're probably right about the, as of yet, unannounced crystal sale. The galaxy chest can fuck off to a galaxy far far away. I don't care if I get the crystals on sale, I'm not supporting this particular chest. I don't want low item count chests if it means exorbitant pricing.
Joaca cineva Paladins? Este gratuit si seamana cu Team Fortress 2 si Overwatch. Este realizat de studiourile care au produs Smite.
Abia ce am aflat de el, am jucat vreo doua meciuri si mi-ar placea sa joc cu niste romani.
Actually the rate of capture does not increase with more people on point. It used to work like that but they changed it in OB36. In the linked patchnotes look at the 'Siege Game Mode' part in the General section. An AFAIK the change was never reverted. https://www.paladins.com/open-beta-36-patch-notes-the-pumpkin-patch/
I am talking about this dreadful patch. Not only she didnt need any of this, they also made her less fun for Seris mains with that Q rework. But she ended carrying people too easily and there were some really bad players in diamond rank. See my flair?
There is a 6 month gap between releasing new skins and them appearing in Deal Of The Day (assuming they aren't Unlimited of course, in which case they'll never appear.)

Voice Packs
Yes! It's back! This is the best part of the patch. I can finally spend my gold on something :DDD
> I've just started grinding the daily reward for gems for the 400 Omega Imani skin
You need 240 Chrono-Shards for the Imani Skin, not 400 crystals.
Check it out in the Patch notes
You need to complete 200 ranked win by this year. After that, whatever rank you are by the end of the year, you will be granted that border.
Tbh, that 200 win is too much. You need at least 400 ranked match to do it. I only have 50 win and I don't think I'm going to meet the requirement by the end of the year.

Flanks excel at single target burst damage, but they need to get in closer to do it effectively. These are qualities that help set them apart from Damage Champions.
Were you at level 50? You wouldn't have unlocked anything after the patch if you had nothing left to unlock.
Otherwise, do you remember what level you were on? You might be able to work it out from the info here. You should probably send a support ticket if you're sure you should have unlocked something.
Yeah it looks like it's true: https://www.paladins.com/news/xbox-one-and-nintendo-switch-updates
And I understand that it definitely does suck, but I doubt they did it on purpose. Shit happens sometimes.
From what I can tell, it will be free later on, but if you want to play it right now, then you need to pay for the founder's pack to get access early.

That quote says it all really, there wouldn't be a need to defend themselves against comparisons to the BF2 shitfest, if they hadn't just batantly copied it, to milk more cash from whales and span normal players into a massive grindwheel.
Of course they know what they are doing. It's called 'Door-in-face-technique'
> They said that it won't be possible to buy chests with crystals to avoid any p2w system so really this is just false talking
Where did they say that? What they officially said is this: We expect to allow Crystal purchases of those same Card Chests in OB65, but we may delay this. It's on the bottom here.
> 2.The game was even more grindier before where new players would literally struggle for essence as many cards costed way too much and legendaries aswell were a mess to obtain
The previous system wasn't good but still better than this imo since there was a way to craft the cards you wanted. Also with this system a new player will start with 1-1-1-1-1 loadouts (basically useless) and 4 low-impact legendaries against players who could have way more powerful loadouts, while with the old system you could at least create a loadout with 5 already unlocked cards around a full-power legendary against other players' 12 points loadouts.
> You can test builds on casual, on private servers or in your shooting range
Build testing on Quick Play won't be the same as doing that in a more balanced match, say "unranked", because of potentially crazy loadouts the enemies could have and because you would need to get the lvl 3 updates to play with a 3 3 3 3 3 loadout AND the lvl 3 upgrade for your legendary card. Testing range yes, but without allies and enemies it would be really difficult to judge the potential of a loadout.
I made a post about this. Paladins had a "Pick twelve" system where you picked five cards, then you added points to the card to make them more/less powefull. You had seven points to work with, so you had to think your loadout through. Do you really need that 10% additional movement speed, or do you instead make a specific ability have a shorter cooldown?
Hi-rez have now removed this system, and it sucks. My post that I made is available Here!
The Dev-post that Hi-ez made is here!
To summarize how the new system works; Previously you started out with five cars on a chapion and you had to unlock the rest (either through the game's lootboxes or through the essence system. Essence is a seperate currency used to craft loadout cards). The new system unlocks all cards to you, but they're set to level one at all times! You now unlock "Levels" for cards by unboxing a duplicate version of that specific card, and in casual there's no limit to the ammount of levels. You can have 5 levels on every card (meaning a total of 25 levels) instead of only having seven levels to work with. This means that your loadout strength is ENTIRELY RNG DEPENDANT. If you meet a guy of similar skill who has played just as much you'll lose because he got more levels for his champion during his last lootbox unboxing.
The front page of /r/Paladins is filled with people who are angry, disappointed, or simply taking the opportunity to gain some Karma by making memes about it.
Sounds you need the Official MM FAQ.
If you have any more questions remaining after reading that, you could also study the extensive documentation of the TrueSkill ranking system. It's pretty awesome if you dig into it.

> Hey Champions!
> We’re so excited to bring Paladins to the Nintendo Switch and introduce crossplay functionality with Xbox One!
> Unfortunately, due to technical issues, the 1.1 Update will not be released today on Xbox One and Switch. For this patch only, Xbox One and Switch will receive the 1.1 Update and the 1.2 Update together. The 1.2 Update is currently scheduled to release simultaneously across all platforms on the 27th of June. Going forward, we hope to release Updates on all platforms at > the same time.
> Xbox One gamers: We’re very sorry about this delay. We’ll be running a Play all Champions Free Event on Xbox One only from June 13 until June 27
I'll take some snippets from this news post
VIP Tier Rewards:
Players will retain all existing VIP Tier Rewards.
If you reached VIP Tier 3 or higher, you’ll receive a limited in-game Avatar — a new player icon cosmetic — as a thanks for participating in the VIP program
If you reached VIP Tier 5 or higher, you’ll get the first Battle Pass — and the legendary mount in it — for free.
And instead of getting this exclusive mount on VIP 5 page we're getting the first Battle Pass (400 crystals).
VIP 4 gets just the avatar as well.
The skins will be included in the VIP Store once the patch goes live on Wednesday. We added a few additional ones, you can find the list here: https://www.paladins.com/news/open-beta-69-update-notes-reign-of-house-aico :)
In specific regards to the Nova Strike skin, they noted here that:
>These skins [Nova Strike and Genie] featured several different Accessories, all paired with the same Body. We will choose the best looking version of each Accessory and pair it with the Body to create a Skin. Other Accessories will be removed from the game, and owners will be compensated.
I am sure they also talked more about it during Patch Preview but I don't feel like digging through the VOD for specifics. Even if you aren't technically getting a refund for the accessories of the skin that you no longer have acess to, there was still a compensation system in place like there has been for other reverts (i.e. common skins removal.) I respect your right to be an unsatified customer and voice your complaints and my response isn't really to minimize that, I promise. I guess where I disagree with you is the whole shady Hi-rez bit. I felt like they've made an effort to compensate people regardless if a customer is unsatisfied with it
> Hi-Rez hasn't exactly been transparent in how matching is made in matchmaking
there's literally a page on their website about how they do match making.
> How is that possible?
Self-healing doesn't count. Or, if you meant to ask, "how is it possible that I, paragon of professionalism gets matched by such a noob?", the answer is in the Official MM FAQ.
Buy it from here, my friend. This is not linked to Steam. Click on Buy Now and you'll get a prompt to log into your HiRez account. After that, you'll be redirected back and you'll see two options: Buy and Gift. Click Gift and follow the onscreen instructions.
P.S: Where it says name, it wants your Paladins IGN and not your HiRez account name.
Why don't you guys mention the fact you're giving away 2 keys by simply going to your own website and following one of your channels? Here it is for anyone that wants to try the game out ASAP:
Strix's new automatic pistol with accuracy cards is actually pretty decent. But yup, I think the devs might not wanna make it overpowered like last time. In the trickshot update notes they did say in the Strix section;
"We don’t want to bring back the days in which his Pistol had the highest damage per second in the game, but we do feel that it could feel more effective at base."
But I agree though, Crackshot might need a rework. It could be great for double tapping in poke fights but most people would go for Nocturnal or Unauthorized Use. I actually really like the concept of Crackshot but Nocturnal just seems more practical, especially for escaping flankers.
It's in this dev blog. Scroll down to the third-person section. Long story short, it introduced bugs and Paladins was built around being a first person experience.
This has already been fixed. The fix will be live with the Shadows update.
"Fixed an issue where selecting the Event Pass Level reward in Trials linked to the incorrect page with bad UI."
It's a Spray coming in the next patch

And if you are wondering, i got it from the Patch Notes

those are the patch notes with all the things that come the next patch and all i can say is that he won't get nerfed a little... they massacred my boy :(
They have been doing a program called The Hunt for the past 2 years where they have been fixing a lot of bugs. Their development priorities are also heavily directed by this since most new features are kind of indefinitely delayed.
The reason why it's still bad is because of server issues due to corona and that in the beginning the game was rushed so a lot of the code is spaghetti and the devs that made the mess aren't even on the team anymore to help out. And they're aware of that fact more than anyone.
You can see what has been done since then in the patch notes here: https://www.paladins.com/news/

The PTS will be updated throughout the cycle and will have an extra week than normal because of how much is in this patch with balance changes.
We had a meeting today regarding balance and looking at it on high play levels and casual levels where there will definitely be adjustments made next PTS update. New bugs will always happen when you have a ton of big changes made but that's also why we have this time to smooth them out before they go live. I would like to recommend also this post we have on ways folks can help us reduce these / discover them. https://www.paladins.com/news/a-tigrons-tale-pts-is-now-live
3P will not be coming back in gameplay and that is the one thing I highly will disagree with as a step back. The game was made to be a FPS and 3P was added after. 3P has only riddled the game with more bugs and issues overall. There will be an option available in the live version to toggle it with a command in the shooting range for those who still appreciate it or even want to use it for content purposes.
I hope this helps give some insight on the dev process and we here at EM look forward to making the live version of this as polished as we possibly can.
Thank you!

Yeah I know... This is not good because you dont earn alot
Its old I know but does it works this year too? I really want it... if not then the stream is useless since it takes ages to earn something
I've already responded to the OP, and do believe a few champions should retain their momentum for gameplay purposes, but the overall adjustments made to charges/dashes is going to be better for Paladins overall. Our community team created a great breakdown of why these changes were made here: https://www.paladins.com/news/dev-blog-the-hunt-server-corrections
Parts and Pieces was a skin system where the cosmetic items for a skin would come in a pack of about 4 items (head piece, body piece, weapon and voice pack). You could mismatch different "pieces" of the skin with other skins. Here's some examples of what you could do with Parts and Pieces, and this is what the old Champion customization tab looked like for reference (not my screenshots).
Here is an Evil Mojo blog post about it, as well as why it was removed.
-Person submitting the piece was not eligible based on rules (conversation should end on this one thing alone, there should be no further arguments past this)
-There is clear favoritism on this skin based on having 2 photos (one being the single largest picture in the entire contest), EM staff promoting the skin concept on Twitter prior to voting, and EM Molly admitting in private discord that they themselves made an exception for this one specific skin concept.
-The clearly said " We’ll narrow it down to five of the best concepts we receive for each Champion" Link
-It would be unfair to other people who could not submit a skin concept due to eligibilities they posted far in advance. Otherwise, why set rules at all.
Just an FYI mate, but your entry is almost certainly going to get denied by Evil Mojo. The rules state that;
> - "Your submission must be your original work. This means **the concept must be conceived, designed, and drawn solely by you."

I know alot of people have pointed it out already, but this concept is not original, its literally just the look of Demonette Maeve applied to Lian.
Lian won sadly yeah.
I found out from the r/Paladins Discord server, which is on the side bar over there under Community Groups.
It was also posted here on the sub a little bit ago. Here is the link...
https://www.reddit.com/r/Paladins/comments/bbnxwc/we_have_our_winners_the_votes_are_in_and_you/
But anyway, they also were displaying the info of their twitter, here is the link to that...
https://twitter.com/PaladinsGame/status/1116011817216688135
And they were also showing the status in the game in the little news box on the bottem left that scrolls through a bunch of stuff. While it does have ads and all, it also does sometimes have links to game surveys, and other community polls etc.
Other then that, there is the Paladins website, here is the link...
But that never seems to have all the information... Or is late... Why? No idea, but its probably not best to use it for your go to source.
Hope that helps.
Ok, what is your problem exactly?? It's minor for you maybe, it's not minor for me. Because grinding for current BP is just too much and i wanted to take advantage of Double XP while i have free time to play the game. It's posted on official site and on their twitter that it was supposed to start 5 hours ago: https://www.paladins.com/news/double-battle-pass-weekend-april-6-7 and it still didn't.
Can you help? No? Go away then i don't need your stupid comments, and stop telling me what to do.
they even stated in the patch review stream that they will not give pattle passes but crystals so you can buy whatever the F you want, for example 2 BP of your choice. They said it out loud, and it is written down there when you buy it.
" Plus, you’ll unlock 1500 Crystals to grab the newest Battle Pass, a favorite Skin, or an Event bundle — the choice is yours! " https://www.paladins.com/news/2-01-update-notes-fire-and-ice
Yeah, you get a discount.
"Outlaw Sha Lin, Dragonborn Moji, and Overlord Khan will also be available for direct purchase at 600 Crystals each during 1.4. If you purchase one and later decide to upgrade to the Dragon’s Call Bundle, you will receive a discount equivalent to the Crystals spent."
There was a hotfix, it's also what's responsible for the Furia and Lian audio bugs.

Scroll down to the bottom to see what changed. Nothing big.
Interesting, thank you for sharing all this info I suppose.
So Im guessing Maeve will never see her survivability returned to her base kit then? Im still curious though, why was this taken out in the first place? There must be a reason you guys felt the need to do this at the time it was done, (beyond keeping her in-line because how OP can 500 healing really be?)
According to a developer diary written by Martini (Dev. Diary #2) flanks are meant to have survivability skills in their kits. Maeve only has it through cards and talents.
EDIT: Can I also ask, why is it despite the universal hatred for Street Justice don't you remove it? Whilst I know you have nerfed it and some cards that were frequently used in tandem with it, it was/still is I think, the most unpopular talent in the game.
EDIT #2: So thats a no on any base kit buffs coming to Maeve?
Along with Siege, there are 2 other gamemodes in Paladins: Team Deathmatch and Onslaught
You earn a certain amount of crystals for however many first wins of the day - 3 x 15 crystals for two days in this case.

Team Deathmatch
Onslaught

We've got a list of the current sales running through the weekend here here. There are also a few that will start on Monday, so we'll update the blog then!
Stupid question:
They said they're changing the patch cycles to one per 6 weeks (and small ones of bug fixes in between), but Furia was released 24 days ago..
So how come we get a patch now?
>Paladins’ major Content Updates will now be bigger and better than ever before. Content Updates will include new Champions, Events, or other large features in every single update. These major Content Updates will occur every 6 weeks.
I doubt we get another major champion/event that soon...
It was delayed because of the Switch- as it has the crossplay functionality, so Xbox players have to wait for it to be ready as well.
More regarding the situation here
It's a promo to make up for the fact that the patch got pushed back 2 weeks for you.
> Xbox One gamers: We’re very sorry about this delay. We’ll be running a Play all Champions Free Event on Xbox One only from June 13 until June 27.
