I got 2 tips for ya.
I was partially responsible for my high school locking down all their public network shares. We had a legitimate gamers club but didn't have any space to store half a terabyte of games. So I'd go spelunking through various NAS boxes on the network till I found one people were supposed to upload assignments to, make a hidden system folder, and almost run the server out of space. IT played whack a mole for 2 years before I ran out of shares.
Also when my school still used XP managed to crack the LM hash of the local admin account which was the same on every comp in the school district for about 4 months. Had so much fun killing the remote teacher monitoring software and messing with people.
The IT guy for my school knew me by name half way through freshman year. Especially since I started the Ultrasurf craze which spread like wildfire to almost every HS in the district. Fun times
I use this one on PC it's very simple https://ultrasurf.us/download/
If you are using IDM you can also download files from blocked websites using it's proxy 127.0.0.1:9666
Also, off topic but why Turkish/Turkic countries have to be this much authoritarian, like what happens if they don't block the websites, what harm can possible come to their glorious government? I'm tired of this seriously.
I bypassed proxies at school easily. I got caught by giving copies to friends.
I used Ultrasurf on a USB, which is a standard .exe with no other files or install required. You can find it here: https://ultrasurf.us/
I'd be careful using it. I got threatened that I'd get charged for bypassing their firewalls. Though bare in mind I only got caught cause I transferred it onto the network location that everyone could access.
Also it's highly possible that ultrasurf will work for you, I don't think it's a common VPN.
If you download https://ultrasurf.us/ and put the files on a flash drive/savable memory drive, you can run it and bypass any blockings. The recent update is 13.04. I'm using it right now as reddit is blocked.
I can't speak for its legitimacy but I just watched a couple episodes off Adult Swim from Canada using https://ultrasurf.us/
Just be cautious, I guess. It worked and seems fine enough.
For those whose school blocks chrome extension, just download the ultrasurf exe. Been using it for 2 years now, no one even knows about it (handy Ctrl+Alt+H to hide it completely. Ctrl+Alt+S to show again ;).
I was getting that; still technically /am/ getting that. Started a couple of days after the last hotfix. I tried something I saw on one of the forums -- https://ultrasurf.us .. little program that VPNs the connection.
Be warned. My antimalware software blocked the website but I couldn't find anything otherwise negative. I took the file and submitted it virustotal -- 0/58 scanners found an issue. The same antimalware software (MBAM) finds nothing when it scans the file; it just has a problem with the site itself.
You can also download a recent version from FileHippo - a known-safe website (but, if you do, use the "direct download" link - they just added a download manager thing which I don't recommend)
At my High School they have super filters it seems like. BUT we students found a program that allows you to go to any site no problem. This will get you past any firewall
Edit: formating
Put Ultrasurf on a flash drive and run it off of said flash drive. Don't save it to the school computer or it can be found by your IT guys.
It's what I use to get on Reddit during school.
