DISCLAIMER: this is based on my own ps4 results

difficult to isolate the traffic on my network, but for an average gaming session (3 hours) i've used just over 480 MB. the max i've consumed was 3GB for all day(10 hours). (keep in mind there was other traffic going on during that period)

in terms of active bandwidth consumed the mean is about 400-600kbps (50-75 KB per second). it might be less on the last gen consoles.

i'd highly suggest looking at flashing your router with dd-wrt or tomato, they have a lot of QoS options, like limiting bandwidth, as well as you can actively monitor your bandwidth useage

I think you need new glasses. Lets not kid ourselves, the game looks nice but the low res textures and anti-aliasing are horribly jarring.

Ok, I'll show and tell. I'll show both of my characters since I use them both equally.

First character's garage "Old money" character. Nothing in it was paid for or modded with hacked money. It's genuinely earned.

Second character's garage "New money" character. Started with 8 Adders, a Z-Type and a Cheetah as a savings of sorts for when the hacked money went away. I decided I'd rather have the cars I want than $7 million.

Capture cards are the way to go for recording console footage. They aren't cheap, but they're a lot better than using a camera.

You're right over 1000 helped make the game. As to how many are still working on new content for it and GTAO (as well as fixing current problems) who knows. But the fact that their support board mods only work 9-5ish and never on a weekend should put it in perspective for you. At least that's the only time I see them answering anything here at all.

Medium-high settings should be perfectly fine. Here is a thing that is probably more accurate than me guessing.

Yeah, the graphics in that game are fucking amazing considering how dated the hardware is by now. For comparison, it has only 512 MB RAM, which is the same as a tiny, credit card-sized Raspberry Pi.

And I really can't wait for the next-gen version of GTA V. Even though I usually hate buying the same game for multiple platforms and avoid that at all costs, I'm really looking forward to play GTA V on an XB1.

I have SuperF4 installed so i might just skip out real quick next time, to see if that works. That program kills the process as if you would go to the taskbar and kill the process, so not the normal way.

Though I'm not sure how detailed the stat tracking is through the app, haven't used it for that feature myself so I'm not even sure if it's available at all. It's mostly for some GTAV single player features, and buying custom plates to use in GTA:O. The Social Club website will have a pretty detailed breakdown of your online character's stats.

This is, of course, assuming that you have a Social Club account linked to your GTA V account. I'm not sure how that works on console, but it's required for PC.

It doesn't. There's lots of small differences all over. Fences, mailboxes, trashcans, electrical boxes, hotdog vendors, plants in the desert, & other things like that that are in single player & missing online.Even certain textures are slightly different.

I noticed that if I install the play disc on USB, I have comparable pop-in. However, if you install the install disc to USB, and the play disc to HDD, the pop-in is gone. It runs MUCH better than running the game from disc. Makes sense since the game accesses the play disc contents constantly, so having it on the fast HDD is much better than on DVD or USB.

Cheats man! There are so many great ones. I absolutely love the euphoria engine and messing with ragdolls, so I love to do slow motion + invincibility (MAYBE moon gravity if I'm feeling silly) and just shoot/blow up everyone and everything in sight in glorious, beautiful slow motion.

Skyfall is great too. All the fun of skydiving without having to steal a plane. Super jump, fast run, explosive melee... They're all endlessly fun.

Use MSI Afterburner to see if it's CPU or GPU. It might be overheating so try limiting your framerate to 60 and see if it's till dropping to 20.

You can use Riva Tuner (comes together with Afterburner) to limit you FPS for testing and make it so you can see CPU and GPU usage and temps.

I would say look for something with a 1660ti/rx580 and 16gb of ram (8 will be fine but 16 is good for quality of life). the cpu doesn't have to be that good for GTA V since the GPU will likely carry it. For this, I recommend the ASUS TUF A15. In my experience, Asus laptops have had the longest lifespan and that laptop is priced pretty well and will run gta 5 at a high quality with high frame rates easily.

If you're looking for something a little bit cheaper, then i'd say maybe look for a laptop with a 1650 or maybe a 1060 6gb like this: ASUS TUF FX505

I would avoid brands like Alienware or HP, they usually have poor build quality and don't last very long. ASUS and Acer are the best brands for laptops.

Completely uninstall everything including social club, use vpn, try again.

A friend of mine had exact same (just getting stuck at a different place), turns out his router or either isp was closing active ports way too quick resulting in the downloader loosing track. VPN bypasses into another router which is usually always without issues.

I recommend ProtonVPN as it is unlimited bandwidth with a US server (no p2p sadly but doesn't matter in this case).

Also from the Netherlands and a KPN customer. I too am not able to play. Not even offline since you need to have signed in before.

I think I narrowed it down to not be able to reach the Rockstar CDN (cdn.sc.rockstargames.com). I can't even log in on SocialClub on my PC because of this.

I'm going to try a VPN to see if that might resolve the issue. If not I will call KPN tomorrow to see if they have an answer. I had already opened a support ticket and am waiting for a response on that.

I will keep this post updated in the hope it might help someone else.

UPDATE 1: I just installed TunnelBear and started GTAV with it. It works!

UPDATE 2: I received a reply on my support ticket and they have confirmed multiple reports of this problem from the Netherlands.

Rail Driver

Every first person shooter these days needs a railgun and here is Red Faction’s version of the weapon.

The Rail Driver fires metal slugs at extremely high velocity so they can penetrate walls, as well as people. So if you have three or four enemies standing in a nice little single file line for you, you can fire a slug through the first and kill them all in one shot. The draw back with the weapon is that it has an extremely long reload time.

Its secondary attack is also very cool. Similar to the Farsight in Perfect Dark, the scope allows you to see an enemy’s heat signature through walls. As the weapon can penetrate walls, as soon as you have a sure shot you can fire and kill the opponent before they know who or what hit them.

Primary Attack: Single shot.

Secondary Attack: Activates heat scope.

It was actually conceptualized to be a screen, but during development SonyJP came to the conclusion that it would be distracting to have a screen in the controller, since they really want people to focus on what's on the big screen.

It's weird that they though that, because the Wii U actually nails the 2nd screen integration IMO.

I ended up getting this. SSDs are upgradeable at least. I'll stick with my Series S for most of my gaming. Just mainly wanting to play a few games with mods. Can't wait to finally play LSPDFR.

There were some news a couple of days ago that a Rockstar game was set to release at the end of this fiscal year. This coupled with recent rumors that Sony are set to announce GTA V for PS4 at E3 on behalf of R* (because apparently, R* doesn't do E3) leads me to believe that a new gen and/or PC version of GTA V is currently in the works.

Mine is in "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles\".

You could pack the whole "Profiles" folder and I can pick out the correct save from there. After that there are multiple sites where you can upload the packed folder, such as Mega or MediaFire. If I recall correctly Mega should allow you to upload files without an account.

Depends on your budget. It's very hard to find a decent headset for under ~$100. You can find Sennheiser 363/373 on sale for about 120 sometimes, and Beyerdynamics in that range too (you need a separate mic for those though).

Unfortunately the source for the drug economy comes from a dude on the GTAV forums. The only reason I find it credible is because he accurately predicted the names of 2 out of 3 protagonists and and states he worked at Rockstar during the development. This was back in March.

Take all of this with a grain of salt, as I'm not stating anything. I just have a feeling this is the case. I recall the drug economy being mentioned somewhere else credible but I can't remember where. I'll dig a little and get back to you.

I'm a bit late but if you still need a controller I suggest a PS4 controller. You can use this program to make windows detect it as a 360 controller and you can also use the touchpad on the back of the controller to control your mouse.
