If you don't like Google or stock calendar, try aCalendar+ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendarplus

Nice design, privacy friendly, feature rich, useful widgets.
aCalendar+ Best calendar app ever. Everything is customizable. It integrates with Google calendars, if you want that, or works as a stand alone calendar, if you prefer. Daily agenda can be customized to any hours (essential if you don't work standard business hours), tasks and appointments can be color coded, and setting up repeated events is a breeze, even for "every second and fourth Thursday" type events. It even comes with a to do list function, and several useful widgets.
I've been using it for years, and it keeps getting better. Also, the developers responded right away, and fixed the bug, the one time I contacted them with an issue, shortly after they did a major overhaul of the app.
I also love Thumb Keyboard, for its complete customizability. I especially love having a whole row available to add any keyboard keys, and/or custom text. Unfortunately, it hasn't been updated in years, and it's showing its age (no emoji, or predictive text) so I'm on the hunt for a replacement. It's amazing how hard it is to find a keyboard app with arrows, full keyboard, copy, paste, and assignable hot keys.
Here is some stuff that helps me.
A task/calendar app is huge, it helps me keep all my to do lists in one place, appointments, birthdays, anything that I need to remember to be an adult in my daily life. I use acal.
Using the app plum village. The guided meditations can help you to calm yourself down, to center yourself in the moment. The short meditations are best suited to people with ADHD, and they only take a few minutes.
Also, r/mindfulness has been a big help for me.
And lastly, you need to accept yourself as you are.
Really this is advice for anyone, but it is especially important for people with issues like ADHD. A lot of people with ADHD really beat themselves up about it, which is counterproductive. Acceptance is such a powerful tool, because it frees up energy that was previously being used to worry and stress about something you cannot change.
If you can help your partner to accept themselves as they are, that's really half the battle.
Try aCalendar+ : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendarplus
The widgets show events and tasks. Tasks can be taken from local account, from Google Task, from CalDAV Sync / Open Tasks.
I really like aCalendar+. (There is also a free ad-based version) It syncs with multiple google calendar accounts, lets you color code your events, set multiple alarms on any event, allows flexible parameters for recurring events, lets you choose what hours it shows on your daily view (handy for those of us who don't work 9-5), and includes widgets for daily, weekly, monthly, or running agenda views. It's very flexible and very customizable.
Permissions:
Modify/View Contacts (Used in the location feature, which will allow you to add a location directly from your contacts, then get directions from Google Maps, as well as for sending invites to people for meetings.)
Add/Modify/Read calendar events (of course)
Find/Use Accounts (for syncing with Google Calendar)
Control NFC (I believe you can pass calendar events to others via NFC. I've not tried it, though)
Full Network Access (I assume this is needed for syncing and sending/receiving invites, but I'm not 100% sure)
Run at Startup (So it can give you alarms/reminders.)
Control Vibration (For alarms/reminders)
Prevent Phone From Sleeping (so it doesn't sleep through alarms/reminders)
Read Sync Settings / Toggle Sync (so it can sync with Google Calendars)
Yes it did. Most of my problems came from me overthinking things, not trusting my own judgement, but constantly trying to guess what other people (for example my spouse) want from me. I was so obsessed with my mistakes, I didn't have any focus left to make good decisions in the present.
And really, if you are arguing your spouse, then something has already gone wrong. The point is to not obsess over it, just move on. That leaves more energy for self-improvement, like finding tools that, help you deal with life like a neurotypical person. Do you forget stuff? Get the wrong products at the store? Use the wrong laundry detergent? Then get a task app like acal](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendarplus) or Google keep.
Or do you make mistakes because you are rushed and distracted? r/mindfulness can help.
Focus on improving yourself instead of beating yourself up about problems. It's easier said than done, but once you get started there is a snowball effect.
OK one more thing that helped me. Think about a person with bad eyesight. Do they blame themselves for it, bump into stuff all day and feel shitty about it? Or do they go buy some glasses? You're adhd is not your fault! Don't get into that self - pity and self - hate, just go out and look for some tools that will help.
Ich kann aCalendar empfehlen. Hat ne sehr gute Übersicht und Widgets und man kann auch Google Tasks synchronisieren und verschieben
Thanks great that you found what works for you!
My app of choice is acal, it doesn't do bullets points, but it has as great interface and multiple color - coded lists, and comes with a really great Callander app that manages appointments and tasks all together.
I use acal to store such reminders, you can put it in your phone so you get a reminder and won't forget.
I also use a messenger bag that I always have with me. I have everything I need in there, and I even have seperate cloth bags in it, one for work, one for snacks, one for going to game night, etc. That way I don't have to cary EVERYTHING all the time, and I still don't have to fermenter every individual item.
Maybe such habits could help you too?
First off, do not focus on or define yourself by your weakness. Sure, your attention span sucks, but you surely have many positive qualities too, right? Intelligence is something to be proud of, and maybe you are humble, and kind?
I would rather be a in the company of an easily-distracted kind person than a well-focused asshole any day of the week.
Basically, aceptance is key. Accept yourself for who you are, the bad and the good, and it will make things a lot easier for you. Nobody is perfect.
And secondly, being embarrassed about something you were born with is just wrong! If you were born with bad eyesight, would you find it embarrassing to wear glasses? I doubt it.
If you want to make yourself feel better about your ADHD, then find tools to help compensate. I like r/mindfulness for tips on being in the moment, and I use my task manager app Acal religiously, which helps me keep track of stuff. (there are lots of apps like this one, which one you use isn't really important).
I'm proud of myself for meditating every day, and using that app to keep myself organized. Focusing on the stuff you can control instead of the stuff you can't is the best way to both live a better life and rid yourself of negative emotions.
I hope that helps, and good luck!
I use wall calendar in the kitchen, and religiously using a task / Callander app. acal
I also put stuff in my path that makes me notice necessary steps. Like locking my bike even though it's in the garage, that way I can't leave without the key for the bikelock. I've developed a million little tricks like that, so much that it could look like OCD from the outside.
You know what helps me? A messenger bag. It is my constant companion, and everything I need when I leave the house goes in there immediately when I get home. Keys? Check. Phone charger? Check. Wallet? Check. And the bag always has its place, so I always know where it is.
And for to do lists and appointments, I use acal. It's called externalising, and it's super helpful for people like us. Your brain isn't good at keeping track of all of this, so don't blame yourself, just store the information externally! A person with bad eyesight doesn't beat themselves up about it, they just get some glasses. People wit ADHD need to do the same.
ACalendar+ for calendar and tasks
Markor for notes and to-do-liste
Combine it with Nextcloud and you can have all of it without any third party cloud service that grabs your data.
The Android app aCalendar is more powerful imho and the paid version supports tasks very well.
I like that aCalendar let's me shrink appointment text size so you can read full titles on monthly/weekly calendars. You can also easily move appointments from one calendar to another, a feature that I can't fathom why Google won't add to their app.
I currently use aCalendar+, which is very reliable, but does not support SMS (just notification or email). For years, however, I used Calengoo, which is equally as reliable, and also offers SMS reminders.

This one does and I am sure the free one does as well. - aCalendar+ Calendar & Tasks – Android Apps on Google Play - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendarplus
I use the agenda one myself. I like it for the unlimited scroll.
aCalendar+ has such a widget. Not sure if the free version aCalendar has it as well.
aCalendar+ has the exact same view you're looking for. I use it since at least 5 years. It's the best, cleanest week view I have ever found. Even the free version is fully functional. Very clean app, no spyware. Try it ! You can even choose if you want to view the different days horizontally or vertically.

edit: sorry I didn't realize you wanted to write with the spen... the app is not for you then.
aCalendar+ offers a list of reminder defaults (as well as custum) and is a very good option for a calendar app in general.
You could just try other calendar apps, I acalendar. There are also GTD apps like TickTick. The Cortex podcast just posted an episode called Productivity 101, it's episode 101, it may be worth a listen.
Yes, this is really good. Adding aCalendar on Android gives a good front end to opentasks and the tasks and calendar are integrated.
For organization. This is the app that I use, but there are lots of other opinions, many of which are free. Basically I put every task in the app, I have several different lists, and every appointment goes in there too. I use a strategy based on the GTD method, and set lots of reminders.

I use acal, it's not free, but there are no ads, and it works really well.
But it seems you already have a task list on you phone, how about some tips from r/mindfulness? There's some good reading materials in the sidebar.
I know you're not interested in full calendar apps, but you could use a full app just for the notifications. I use both Google Calendar and aCalendar+. I turned off Google Calendar notifications and only allow aCalendar+ notifications, which has snooze functionality.
Calendar app on my device. I finish one thing, I check my phone, I move on to the next thing.
Games: Limbo, Threes, Hitman Go, Sparkle 2, Mini Metro, GeoXpert (nice educational tool)
Apps: Nova Prime, Join, Solid Explorer, Alarmy, KLWP, KWGT, PowerAmp (Black Player is very popular around here), Mx Player Pro, Pocket Casts (pod cast addict is an equally popular and free alternative. Both are worth using), Moon+ Reader, Greenify, Sleep As Android, SD Maid pro, Sync Pro, Office Suite Pro, Tasker, App Dialer T9 Pro, PopUp Widget 3, Xposed Edge Pro, Advanced Download Mgr, Root Explorer, Ex Kernel Mgr, Cameringo+, Paper Camera, Weather Time Line (dev not responsive on e mail + few have mentioned that he was rude while communicating)
You may wanna give acalendar+ a chance. It seems good, and is on a sale atm

The app recently had a price drop, and this sale price is really tempting! :)
Any idea how good is this compared to acalendar+ and Calendar Widget?
I'm running aCalendar+ which syncs with my Nextcloud server only (via CalDAV-Sync).
My CalDAV calendars are prefectly visible on my PTR.
a+ Calendar is great. But it depends on your needs. I used Calengoo for years. It's another great option. Both of these have the same type of week view, which is a necessity for me. None of the other calendars that lack that week view will be of any use for me.
aCalendar+ Calendar & Tasks I set what I want to get done the day before but leave a little space for the things that pop up. Plus Everything is on google
I use a+ calender. I switched to Sunrise and then to Google calendar, but went back to a+, because it does what I want.
I'm not sure if you can sync it with Todoist, but it supports Google calendar as well. Basically I have all my appointments, dates, meetings, whatever in Google calender, but are shown on my a+ calender, because it's easier to use for myself. Has a nice overview and I can easily put in birthdays! It also comes with a task function, but I don't use that one.
Edit: here's the link for the Google store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendarplus
I"m pretty happy with aCalendar +. Rated 4.7 out of 22K reviews. Try aCalendar first (free) to see if you like it. Does everything I need it to do. Plus they donate to charity.
Here's a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.withouthat.acalendarplus&hl=en
I'd install aCalendar+. It's the best calendar app, and has a black theme to reduce power consumption on OLED screens.
Also, install Weather Timeline. It's an excellent weather app, especially if you set your weather's data source to forecast.io. It also has a black/transparent theme for your OLED screen.
Otherwise...enjoy!
aClaneder+ has this. It's a paid version, though. There is a free version, too, but I dunno if it has the feature.
That's the one. I use it for myself, really like it.
Edit: I just realised when I'm on this sub and thining about productivity software, I only think of Smartphone apps. So sorry, if that isn't what you were searching for. I'd still recommend it, though.

Maybe something like this can help you? If you are not a smartphone junkie like myself, a small whiteboard or notebook can be used in a similar way.
Also, for focus:
For guided meditations. Super effective for cultivating r/mindfulness. The short ones are best.
For the binaural generator. Use headphones to get the effect. Helps me focus on menial tasks better than music.

acalendar has support for reminders and tasks!
