SD Maid is undoubtedly the best due to its great interface and lack of bullshit, but some of its premium locked features are available free through other, shittier apps. All-in-one toolbox cleaner has a lot of useless, lying bloat, but if you know what you're doing it gets the job done.
So I looked for a KWGT based Star trek widget but I couldn't find one I was satisfied with... So I made one! I tried to stick to the colors I remember from Star Trek TNG's LCARS interfaces... Would love any suggestions! Launcher is Nova with the dock hidden.
This Google drive link contains the wallpaper, widgets, and the screenshot
I still need to configure most of the component shortcuts/activities but on the bottom "Viewscreen on/off" will toggle sound, the "databanks" button will open Chrome, the "core memory" button triggers an activity for All In One Toolbox to clear up memory on the device, and "Red alert" opens up the Phillips Hue app
Further work will complete work on shortcuts (e.g. "duty shift" opens alarms, "atmosphere" will open weather, etc) and try to find something that will fit into the orange space on the left of the bottom widget. Also will try to modify the Viewscreen button to toggle not only mute/unmute but also vibrate.
Also to note Condition describes battery percentage and temp, duty shift describes first alarm, and core memory describes a percentage of memory being utilized.
Edit: would love suggestions on how to retain positioning when resizing the widget, currently any efforts to resize throws all the items out of whack... Apologies for the clunky organization of the items as well!
All-In-One Toolbox feels like the little known underdog:
Easy to use yet 100% transparent and configurable. Does a lot of other shit as well as the name indicates and does most of it pretty well and is still fast and lightweight - I liked it enough to buy it (during one of its frequent discounts), even though advertisement in the free version was minimal.
looks like this works (just tried it)
Install All In One Toolbox,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.toolbox.full&hl=en
Go to plugins and install the ad detector plugin
It's not a slam dump as every other damned app has some form of ad framework installed, but you can go through app by app and see the type of ads they can disply
This has been driving me crazy for years too. I might have found the fix, but time will tell if it comes back later or not. So far, it's been glitch-free for a few days for me.
I agree that it's a software issue and not a hardware issue; if you boot your phone in "safe mode", the problem goes away. It's some rogue process that is causing the glitch.
My theory is that the rogue process is "SoundAlive". The most effective way to kill this process is to stop it from starting when your phone boots up.
There are different apps that allow you to do that, including this app that I use. Install and open the app, scroll down to "Boot Speedup", tap on the "System Apps" tab, scroll down to find "SoundAlive", disable it, and restart your phone.
download and run a app called all-in-one toolbox.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.toolbox.full&hl=en
swipe left twice and find the start up boost.
uncheck all programs that are starting up and reboot. see if that stops it. the problem is android is the wild west of phones so it's really easy to get perm jacked.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.toolbox.full Grant the app all the permissions it asks for. It will do all the apps for you. Clean-cache-system.
I use this app all the time to help manage stuff. It can even prevent apps from starting up when the phone is booting up. So my s20p starts up faster than it used to.
Tbh of you want to upgrade just do it. You dont really need a reason if you want a newer device. S22 doesnt have an sd card though if u care about those things.
Probably cache and junk that has built up over time. Maybe try a cleaner app. Will clear all cache/temp files and do other things.
Quick search says this one is good: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.toolbox.full

There is one tool app like ZDbox called All-In-One Toolbox https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.toolbox.full , also have the do not disturb mode. I was confused when you say you keep ZDbox but you go to open All-In-One Toolbox
No. It's completely safe. Use this app below to clear cache all your apps without any problems, boost your phone and free so much storage if you haven't clear cached in a while. Do this regularly. Once a week I suggest. It's good for your phone's health.

Dik sausage
Install AIO dr Playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.toolbox.full
Let me preface this by saying these are all just my own personal opinion on what you should do.
First, install a custom OS, as Samsung's isn't very good (as you have said). I use CyanogenMod, so for the purpose of this, I will assume you will use the same. CM allows you to customize many things, including overclocking or underclocking your CPU. You can underclock that for better battery life. I personally use this guide for all my battery saving needs.
As for rooted apps, a quick Google search can help you with finding some neat ones. I personally use the All-in-One Toolkit, Root Browser, SuperSU, Titanium Backup, and a myriad of other things. If you need more examples, feel free to ask.

This app works the best for me. And guess what? It starts from apps that have consumed most of your storage. So when the app clear caches the apps that have used more than 20mb, you can stop the process and you don't have to wait till the process ends when the apps that have less 20mb don't make a big difference. It's also fast.
This one does for me all in one
All-in-One Toolbox also has a backup/restore function that handles data, without root access needed. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.toolbox.full&hl=en
I'm developer turn on force gpu rendering. Disable as many apps as possible. Use this to disable startup items
