I have an app called Call Control. I paid, maybe $6 for it, and it's WORTH IT. You can block a number and prevent them from leaving a voicemail. It has tons of options. You could even block your mom, but get an alert that she called, so you can choose to call her back, if you want. You can also turn off the notification.
Check it out: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol&hl=en
> Am I wrong for calling them....
No
> What should I say to them and what may be more insulting..
Dude you have already used quite nasty derogatory phrases. Local equivalents are almost mean the same.
My two cents. Ignore the calls, or use a call blocker like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol&hl=en

Those "regarding your account" robocalls are intentionally worded to be vague. If they don't mention which specific company they're calling from, that's usually a sign of a scam. It's phrased like that to hook you into calling them back. The fact that they wouldn't tell you which services, even when pressed, is another red flag.
The whole thing sounds shady. If you've never done business with this "Pediatrix," I would just ignore it. If you want, you can file a complaint with the FCC (assuming you're in the US).
There are apps (like CallControl for Android) that block most scam calls. I used to get called almost every day, and now it only happens once or twice a month.
I believe there are apps which let you block everything with part of a phone number in it.
From a quick search this one came up. Go to add to block list > wildcard > type 07391861. After that click the name/number and set it to 'disconnect'. I don't have the app but that seems to be a simplified version of how to do it. Might be a short term fix while you are in contact with the relevant offices.
Edit: assumed you were on android. I presume there's an apple equivalent out the too.
I've got an app on my cell phone, called Call Control. One of the settings that I've enabled: if the incoming caller isn't in my address book, the phone never rings, and the caller is sent directly to voice mail. :-D
I sometimes get a little annoyed at the way it handles txt messages from people not in my AB, but it's worth it for the peace...
Get this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol&hl=en
I don't work for the company, or anyhting shady. I just find it super helpful. There's a setting that allows you to block calls, your phone won't ring, and you don't know your N's called.
Here is an article about a lot of options. In particular for android it points out the app Call Control but notes its $29.99/year for the full app (which is in line with other major call blocker apps).
I use Call Control free version. I send to voicemail all calls which aren't either in my contacts or the local area code. My phone number has an area code from the other side of the country, so this blocks all spam calls for me.
I've tried Call Blocker (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol&rdid=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol) but can't tell if it's actually blocking them. I think the S8 may have hibernated the app, so I just added it to the "unmonitored apps" list in Device Management. Will update if it starts working.
Kinda extreme, but you can use (call control)[https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol] to block calls...even ones that have certain (like 770-555-*) or block everyone who is not in your address book, send them to VM

You can enable a DND for a range of time for the week. You can also allow calls to come in even in DND is activated (allow list or just your contacts). You can even block txt (but you have to use their app to txt)
May I recommend an app called Call Control?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol&hl=en
You can block unlisted numbers. You can choose to send them to voicemail, or just have the phone not ring and hang up on them. Another option may be to get visual voicemail. Maybe not hearing your N's voice would be less triggering.
> Many of the calls come in from spoofed caller IDs, overseas, scammers, etc.
That's my problem, I probably get 3 calls a week from some spoofed or otherwise dodgy number (apparently a bunch of the numbers are associated with this shady telco that several state's AGs have looked into). About the only solution I've found is using a community sourced blackisting app like Call Control. But I really wish there was some way to go after these guys!
I love "Call Blocker - Black list App"
It has a community block list you can opt into and you can create your own. You can do a white list, and a schedule of times you don't want people to call you (DnD). You can even block txt (although I don't use this feature)

Hijacking top comment to provide a way to block these calls
You need an app that blocks calls from numbers similar to yours by using wildcards. The app below will do this.
For IPhone: WideProtect:Block Call SMS MMS by Valerii Andrusyk https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/wideprotect-block-call-sms-mms/id1171024059?mt=8
or this one is free
Call Control! by Call Control, LLC https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/call-control/id1124167631?mt=8
For Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol
If your number is (123) 456 -7890, you want to set up a call blocking rule to block all numbers that start with 123-456.
The app has a setting to ignore block rules for people in your contacts (just in case you get phone calls from friends with similar phone numbers).
The calls will likely be sent to your voicemail, but there's not much you can do about that.
That makes more sense. Call Control Call Blocker replaces your messenger to provide SMS filtering.
I used call control for a while, you can set wildcard rules to block numbers like this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol&hl=en
Call Control. - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol
Also, Calls Blacklist Pro. - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vladlee.callsblacklist
I have used both and am happy with each, but I stick with Call Control because I get a number of reverse lookups per month.
Not easy but ive had some success with the call control app on android not sure if its on Apple's store.

An app called Call Control https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol
Pretty sure an app like Call Control can do it, using it's Do Not Disturb mode.
Been using Call Control for years, and it served me well, so far.
Try the app Call Control.
This app lets you block numbers, it will send them directly to voicemail (or hangup on them) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol
Benefits to this over something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flexaspect.android.everycallcontrol&hl=en ?
