I believe i used to use this back when I had an N4. You can make it so its one fluid motion of swipe up, hold, and release at recent apps or whatever. It was great for the job.
Really didnt like the pi ui so i opted for using a fluid nav bar. Not as big or easy to click but i quite liked it.
I'm using the below app to do it. It works great, has been updated for marshmallow, and works well tied with LMT. I am rooted, but just for basic hiding, I'm not too sure if you need root or not.

I like to use an app called "Auto Hide Soft Keys". Your phone needs to be rooted, but it gives you the option to completely hide both your soft keys, and the notification tray. You get different soft keys back, that you can bring into view by swiping up from the bottom of the screen, and are fully customizable. Same goes for the notification tray, except you swipe down obviously.

If you're still looking for it, this app can hide the buttons without messing with the apps, so Steins;Gate doesn't crash. It still has some small black bars for me, but at least the image is centered on the screen and not moved to the side.

Yeah i just got a replacement and the issue is still prevalent.
The red line is from and app that hides the soft keys.
I'm kinda debating sending both phones back.
I'm noticing when I try to install the root version on the new OTA (7.1.1) it hangs forever, even after granting root access. Are you rooted?
I was using the lite version, but it seemed so slow, and it was wonky with the keyboard only accessible by swiping the nav bar up. Will using the lite version on a rooted device work better?
I started using an app to hide the on-screen buttons and bring them up only when I need them with a swipe-up action. That's the only thing I've noticed "burning in", but at this point it's just some minor discoloration when the screen is showing grey in that area. Can't help but wonder if the discoloration wouldn't be happening if I'd been hiding the buttons all along!
GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys is the app, by the way. Requires root.

What version of android are you running? Normaly the "..." button is put in the upper right corner (as seen here: http://imgur.com/yGC3g8O)
Edit: I'm running flyme 5.1.2.0G
Edit #2: You could try this application to hide the hide the bar. Every meizu phone comes pre-rooted so root-permissions shouldn't be a problem.
You could try rooting and using apps like GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys, which hide the on-screen nav buttons. It's mainly the on-screen nav buttons that are the issue, since a lot of apps persist them and don't offer a full immersive mode.
If you can root, one way to help stave off the burn in is to disable the black background, white buttons extreme contract in the soft button bar.

I made my softbutton bar transparent background with low intensity buttons.
I use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys&hl=en
Slightly different, but since it uses Root it works better
One of the first things I installed was GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys.
How does it compare against this one ? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys
With root, this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys
GMD Auto Hide Soft Keys. Root required, but prevents the burn-in of that little circle, Triangle and box.

This app works well for me, no xposed needed - just root.
To record my screen with an application on my phone, select fonts that specific applications will use and https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys
Yes there's an alternative to ahsk called GMD Immersive but doesn't have styling.
