Doesn't matter who your carrier is. No service in the backcountry (mostly). All you need is GPS on your phone. Now, if your GPS sucks, there are fixes for that, and maybe you can get a tech wiz to show ya how to use it properly.

But you do what works for you! Nothing wrong with old school.

Sorry if none work for you. My issue could've been entirely different perhaps. My issue was caused by spoofing my location to other countries. My compass wouldn't even work
The GPS has always sucked, but you can use a GPS reset app from the Play Store. I used this one ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.discipleskies.gpsreset&hl=en ) and I was able to get my GPS to lock again.
You could try to enter Recovery Mode by holding Vol. Down + Power when the phone is off. From there, you can clear the cache partition and see if that speeds up anything.
I've had my G3 for over 24 months and have been flashing new ROMs about every 2 weeks since I got it and have had no issues. Others have had the phone for much less time and run into problems.
I tweak my phone. Try to change your location's settings to "High Accuracy" and use GPS Reset in Play Store
What is your network provider? I'm a TM user last last week, but I change to Globe so that my GPS signal improve.
Good luck, fellow Pokemon trainer. ;)
> But it's always GPS signal not found.
Nasa loob ka ba ng bahay? Pero pag nasa labas ka naman, nakakalaro ka ba?
Hey /u/Razor-PT, just wanted to say that your fix (turn off location services, disable mock locations in dev settings, reboot and enable location services) didn't work for me, despite even booting to recovery and wiping cache.
I know some other posts here said that 'fixed' their GPS, but only for High-Accuracy (i.e. WiFi and cell tower data) settings. After doing all the steps you listed, I was able to use High-Accuracy location, but still not Device-Only location, which to me meant my phone still wasn't receiving real GPS data properly.
What did end up working for me was downloading another app called GPS Reset Com, which reset my A-GPS data. This solved my problem! Now I'm playing PoGo with device-only GPS, no mock locations, and it works great. Just wanted to let you know in case that helps your troubleshooting.
And thanks for being a good person.
