> I would absolutely pay a ton of money for on Android if they'd port the damn thing over (seriously - it's the one app that I would happily pay $100 for. It's that useful).
Its available in Play store...
Well they linked to the PlayStore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana
EDIT: APK Mirror link
Not that I am not assuming this will be crap when we have Pushbullet, Join and more, but still, a pity that none of my devices are compatible with the Cortana app (Nexus 6P, 5X, 5 and more)... obviously not available in Australia, but why does this functionality need to be region locked?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana&hl=en link to cortana.
And I was actually confused with Pushbullet. This also lets you reply on your pc (at least it used to, havent used it in a while).
Notification mirroring from your phone and being able to reply to messages from your PC
If you install Cortana on your phone and sign into the same Microsoft account you use on your PC it happens magically
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana
Feel free to try it out. Personally I'm not a fan of Microsoft's Bing results, so I don't see a reason I would switch to it. It's an option though.
Should just be on the play store with a simple search of the Cortana digital assistant.
I'm unfamiliar with how google operates outside of the United States.

Given your region, you may wish to try Cortana https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana&hl=en
And if it's not available in your country, try APKMirror

I'm glad I'm not the only one enjoying it (and I came from the Pixel XL). I'm going to give it a fair chance. So far, it's on par with Google Assistant. On a related note, there is a Cortana app on the Play store. I haven't given it a fair shot, but I'm not sure I need to.

There is a setting to send SMSs to other Cortana devices. Just sign in with the same Windows login to your Cortana-enabled computer and you will get alerts on the computer and are able to reply from your computer.
But that makes no fucking sense. You can buy anything else on Amazon. Does Amazon Prime Video play on this dildo? Of course not. You could argue that nobody would think a vibrator would be capable of streaming video. Fine, but they're still selling this Android TV, but Prime Video isn't available on Android TVs... except the Sony ones, for some reason. So fine, they sell this nvidia shield android TV, which doesn't do Prime Video for no good reason.
Why would this ever make sense, anyway? No one is confused that you can buy things in the Google Play Store that don't work with Google, or that you can buy things in the iTunes App Store that have nothing to do with Apple or iTunes. If Google banned the Cortana app, would you honestly think they did so to keep you from being confused?
This is just painfully obviously an anti-competitive move to get people to buy more of Amazon's own streaming sticks... plus some weird shit with Sony, I have no idea what's going on there. I am more confused, not less, by Amazon's actions here.
But it's not like Amazon doesn't employ thousands of programmers, and it took just two random third-party developers to develop Primecast. Instead of taking this as a hint that Chromecast support really isn't that hard and they could do it themselves, Amazon killed Primecast as soon as it became popular. Now, why wouldn't they want Prime Video on Chromecast or Apple TV? ...so that they can sell more Fire Sticks, of course!
Edit: I missed this bit:
> Supposedly the reason they don't do Chromecast or Apple TV is the cost
Wait, what? Pretty sure Google Cast doesn't require a fee here. This might apply to Apple TV if they're talking about the cut Apple takes from iTunes purchases, but I don't really see how it applies to Android -- you can already stream movies to an Android phone, Cast doesn't cost anything extra on top of that, as far as I can tell.
Well you can find out yourself, Cortana is on the play store
You have to install the Cortana Android app.
Once you have the app installed, login with your Microsoft account on both devices. Navigate to the Cortana settings on your pc and Cortana Android app settings.
Select the appropriate options you want. You can also choose to sync other Android app notifications as well.
Note: I believe this feature requires the Windows 10 Creator's Update, so make sure your PC is fully updated 1st. It may also be finicky as it appears to still be in beta, so you might want to just use a 3rd party app. Note that you do NOT need to be a Windows Insider for SMS syncing to work, it works fine for me on the standard Creator's Update.
Thanks. Definitely an issue with the QR Code.
That URL isn't owned by Microsoft, so I don't think it's an issue on their side. Looks like malware. I'd suggest you run Windows Defender, or SpyBot.
In the meantime, just go to the play store, and pick Cortana up from there if you haven't.

Maybe it's limited to US only? I'm not sure.
So far my experience is that Bixby is pretty solid when it comes to commands and functions. Telling it to "Call Sandra", "Remind me to pick up the kids in two hours", "Close all open applications" all work great. Possibly better than anything else you could get on the Samsung device.
But I also have Cortana installed (also available if you run Microsoft Launcher) which is way better for information from the internet: "What's the latest Tottenham Hotspur score?", "Who is Barack Obama", "How many centimetres in a mile?"
Depends what you want, really. But I'd recommend trying Bixby for phone functions and have one other (Cortana, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant) for everything else.
Cortana syncs notification between Android and Windows 10 PC.
Is there a reason we should get this from APKmirror instead of the Play Store?

Be sure to use the same Microsoft Account in your PC and your phone.
But it's right here, it says it was updated on September 9: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana&hl=en
Here's a link to it:

Sorry, don't use an iPhone. It's currently still available on Google Play.
If you're using Android, this link should work for you.

You can install Cortana from the play store, I'm not sure how it compares to the Win mobile version, but it's still pretty neat.
Windows 10 has SMS support natively with the Creator's update:
More than 500000 People, according to Google: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana
If you can get cortana on your phone. Given the small list of countries it's available in probably not possible.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.cortana&hl=en
Try ARC Welder on the Android app.
Why wouldn't you just use the actual store version?

Microsoft Cortana just released on iOS and Android.
