I use the app Night Screen. My LG V20's screen isn't nearly dark enough at it's lowest setting if I am using it in bed as my room is pitch black.

I use Night Screen on nougat. Works pretty well and is easy to use. It only doesn't dim the navigation bar (if your phone has it).
'Night Screen' free Android app has a Blue Light Filter option that can be enabled. Let's me turn the brightness lower than default too, so very nice for my phone and battery life. Been using it the past month, and only wish I knew of it earlier.
Right now on my phone I'm using this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arrowsapp.nightscreen
On my old tablet I use this because I prefer its night light: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eyefilter.nightmode.bluelightfilter

Hey!
I was just looking at the Android 12 page you mention the text from :).
Yeah I have developed for android and done a lot of stuff in terms of rooting and such a few years back. So I will see if I can get it to work and enable the features.
The main issue for me is really not the night light filter app, the new dimming features are good enough albeit a bit too bright for my taste. I just mention it as easy reference: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.arrowsapp.nightscreen
But what I lack now is my gamepad overlays for CoD:M since I bought a Razer Kishi... so will see if this ADB command work.
But I assume the ADB command won't survive a reboot?

ios kullanıyosan da bi yolunu bulursun artık aşko
It's an amoled screen, just get one of the countless apps out there that casts a black filter over your screen, that'll dim it properly. I personally use night screen when using my phone when it's pitch black at night. It's nice because it has a widget too, and you can also set it to turn off at a certain time, so you're not fumbling with your phone in the morning trying to get the screen to be visible.
I use night screen, very simple and works great, plus there's some sort of blue screen filter integrated

If you need your screen REALLY dim at night, I've been using Night Screen on my Pixel 1
Something like this might work.

I just use night shift** bc I never found Android night light very effective

Few I've tried get dim enough for night reading. Night Screen solves the problem nicely.
Play store'a telefon parlaklığı kısma yazınca birkaç uygulama çıkıyor. Şu güzel gibi.

You can use this app to reduce brightness even further. A very simple and unobtrusive app.
Sorry I meant Night Screen. It's an app that acts as a blue light filter and dimmer
