Mods take this away if it's frowned upon, AFIK there's nothing wrong with it. http://www.youtube-mp3.org/
Just rip the MP3.
What type of phone do you have? If it's android there's an app called RingDroid that lets you splice an MP3 and export it directly to the respective notification folder on the device.
You can use something like Ringdroid to cut out the repeats and save only the blip. It's been around forever and it's how I make most all of my sounds.
Just use any audio file that you like. Use an app like Ringdroid to clip a bit you like out of any sound file you have, and set it as your ringtone.
If you have an Android phone you can download an app called ringdroid. Once you have that, go to YouTube and find the part of the episode you want, usually there are at least parts of a show on there you can pull from.
Then copy the URL for that video, and paste it into a "YouTube to mp3" site. The one I used to use is gone now but there are tons out there. Be careful tho some of these sites are super shady. Then save that file to your phone, open it in ringdroid, and select the specific part you want to be a notification, in this case "AVOCATO!" save as notification. Now your notification sound is glorious the Gary screaming like a lady.
Or option 2, pm me and I'll send the sound file directly.
Back when I had an Android device, I used Ringdroid to make a custom text notification. It's still around and still getting good reviews.

Of course you'll need the audio. Easiest way to do that is convert a YouTube clip into MP3.

Just take the file you make there, place it on your phone and Ringdroid (or something else if that one isn't to your liking) should be able to make the ringtone/notification for you. Hope that's enough to get you started.
Get the music to your phone however you like then use Ringdroid to edit the clip you want and save it as a ring tone or notification or what not.
> How do I trim my music to make a ringtone? It only allows me to either use the whole song or their dumb sound identifier thing. No, I want to trim it my way!
Use Ringdroid to make your own custom ringtones from mp3s:
I suggest using Ringdroid to convert mp3s into ringtones/alarms that your phone can use. It figures out the folders for you, and you can choose a specific part of the sound file that you want to use.

(It's also currently my ring tone thanks to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ringdroid&hl=en)
If you have Android you can make it with this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ringdroid
Ringdroid has worked well for me. Ancient UI, but it's open source and ad free.
I've used a program called Ringdroid since I got my first Android. It's not super precise, but it's quick and easy.
Ringdroid - put in a song, cut it down to what you want, then save as notification/alarm/ringtone.
This is what you need (link)
Ringdroid is a fantastic one.
Thanks bro, just download Ringdroid. Sick app, it'll get the job done for sure.

There is no direct way as in selecting a mp3 as ringtone.
But there are apps like Ringdroid to convert any mp3 into a ringtone. You can then select the created custom ringtone.
Make your own.
