Complaining in this thread will not improve this app. But you know what will? Review the app on Google Play/the App Store!
If and only if Spotify gets an influx of 1, 2, or 3-star reviews, they'll realize they need to do better. Do it now. Here are links:
Wrong. The changelog in Google's Play Store for Android shows the exact same thing, and they do not have as stringent a review process (if any).
This has nothing to do with Apple or Google. It has to do with lazy developers.
Instead of complaining about it here, leave them a low star rating in the store and call out the issues you have with the update. It takes the same time as posting here, but it actually reaches them and shows them how important these features are to the community.

When you backup on ios, the backup files are getting saved to your icloud storage; you can't restore them on Android. Getting your backup to android is possible though but you'll need a pc for that. It's not difficult but it's a little inconvenient. You can find many tutorials if you Google it.
Regarding the apps that you are missing, they should definitely be there in the playstore. I have the links for spotify and pokemon here for you:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nianticlabs.pokemongo
Can you install them or does it say something about your device being incompatible or anything?
Huh, that's interesting. I have Spotify Premium and use the regular app on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=en
Is it possible to disable this pre-installed version?
You can use one of the apk downloader sites such as http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
Using any google play store url, for example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=en
Do you not like the "official" ftv app? I haven't used it in a while.
Download Spotify https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
and once you make an account go on search and type 'Rockstar Games' and it will come up with Rockstar's profile and they have many playlists but you can always look for user created playlists if they haven't made a playlist for one of their games.

I am having issues with Spotify playback when using Bluetooth. Am using Spotify version 8.5.65.852. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=en_US .
Playback is paused and resumed frequently when connected via bluetooth to multiple speakers and in the car. Songs also seem to be playing but no audio coming from the speaker.
When I was setting up the device with my Google account, it allowed me to choose what apps I wanted to port over from my old phone. I choose Spotify and a few other apps. Could you elaborate on firmware? I can also link you the Google Play Store Spotify link VV https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
GooglePlay Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
When I open the link for me it shows installed and all my devices are listed as compatible, my phone, my Fossil Sport and my Moto 2nd gen
Go to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=en_US
Click install
Sign in with the Google Account your watch is using
Select your watch
Click install
Spotify should be on your watch soon
They broke this recently. It used to work even after the redesign.
If you want it to be fixed, do as I did and leave them a one star review and let them know that they broke this. If enough of us do this, they'll fix it pretty soon.
As redundant or silly as it may sound, the app is called "Spotify Music" on all of the other app services:
Can't wait, this will be my first gilding. Download the Spotify update that came out today, your problem will be solved.
Does this now mean that we won't be logged out every 2 weeks?
Edit: Proof that Spotify is here. I can rate the app.
Link for premium plans. Screenshot for those who don't have an account.
Mine shows it installable from the play store. Weird that your doesn't based on device.

It should work now.

You are welcome :D
No such thing as dumb questions. No worries, haha.
Yes, that's the guideline most designers follow.
But I keep seeing more and more companies (big and small) who don't like this approach. All it does is increase the work both you (and the coder) has to do.
Let alone keeping up with it.
Users don't value an app, just because it looks native.
That was true 10 years ago.
Ever since, people want to see personality. But this goes in direct contrast with how most established designers think. New designers do understand this principle.
What I see now is that companies prefer to have a unique design, and only do extremely small touches here and there to make the app feel native on each platform. Making your app twice isn't very cost effective.
Two things come to mind:
To give a big example, take a look at the store pages of Spotify:
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
iOS: https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/spotify-muziek-en-podcasts/id324684580
There's almost no difference.
But you can only do that, if you have a unique design, that doesn't lean on existing styles that are unique per platform.
If you design your app with existing styles, it will be 10x harder to stand out.
You can then only compete if the functionality is 10x better, or if you have 10x funding for marketing.
Pick one haha.
I used an apk downloader to download it from here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music&hl=en_CA&gl=US
Bruh, just Google it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
I have one where you pay $10 a month and there are no ads..

>The problem was because spotify does not support my country. I dont know why it was saying the device is not compatible. Now I have changed my google play account country to US and the spotify is working fine.

I use the play store on a pc.
Find the app, use the id, let's take Spotify as an example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music the id would then be com.spotify.music
It's available. I just installed and am using it now. Clear your playstore cache and try the link.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
I am sorry but I belong to the Android camp https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music
Honestly, ngayon ko lang narinig na may music streaming app din pala ang Apple (probably because I've never owned an Apple product.)
As for me, wala pa akong nagiging problema sa Spotify Premium. Other than Taylor Swift music (meh), nakita ko naman karamihan ng gusto kong tugtog - kahit mga random covers/songs from Youtube. Nagagamit ko rin mga pre-set na playlists nila duon.
Most of my friends, kahit iPhone users, ay gumagamit ng Spotify.
In terms of price, mas mura nang konti Spotify.
Plan | Spotify | Apple Music |
---|---|---|
Individual | Php 129 | $2.99 = Php 139 |
For 6 | Php 194 | $4.99 = Php 233 |
- And then App Ratings:
Spotify - 4.5 stars on Google Play and 5 stars on iTunes
Apple - 3.3 stars on Google Play
Edit: Formatting.
I downloaded this app:
