This goes right into the holes already provided on any basic 10/22.
Oh you can definitely do that. 10/22's are super modular so you can swap out pretty much any parts you want. There are a couple variants that come from the factory with both a rail and iron sights, but most only come with one or the other. If you want both, the rail is way easier to add than iron sights so get a variant with iron sights. Then you can easily pick up a picatinny rail to add to the top. You just need a screwdriver set and preferably some blue Loctite to install the rail. My 10/22 just came with iron sights so I added one of those rails to mine and it was a piece of cake.
At that price I would do Simmons or cheap Bushnell Rimfire model.
The Simmons used to also come in stainless, the Hammers very well could be out of the same factory but Simmons is already bottom-tier quality and I'm very skeptical of knockoff brand products on Amazon. They sell for volume and quality control is nonexistent.
Personally for optics I think that's something to pay once for quality. Pay a little more for a low-end Vortex and they will warranty it for life if you ever have a problem with it.
Vortex Crossfire - $129
This Scope is best bang for buck in my opinion. This is a Gen 1 and lacks Zero Stop but for the price, i dont think you're going to beat it with the warranty it comes with.

This keeps it low profile since there's no need for any pic-rail pieces and bipod adapters.
Here is a pic of the mount: https://i.imgur.com/HLSQVzU.jpg
Here's a link to it on Amazon:
Impact Weapons Components V2 Bipod Mount Fits M-LOK & All Magpul MOE Handguards https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LV8ZXHK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_ij7ModGO8Mz1s
It’s actually a cheap Simmons from Amazon. It surprisingly nice and clear! It feels pretty sturdy as well. It’s an awesome scope for the price!
I got this one from Amazon a month ago, and I’m pleased with it. Very sturdy but will come off easily.
CVLIFE 9-13 Inches Rifle Bipod with Solid Sling Adapter Base https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007UT3O3O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_jFYEBb1MNJYB8
I have a stainless takedown and I wanted a scope for it with the ability to return to zero after taking it down and putting it back. CVA makes rings that are quick detachable and pretty inexpensive. I shoot mine a lot and they have totally met my expectations. Return to zero is fine.
(just a quick amazon search, didn't look for deals or anything.)
I would take it apart and see what the issue is, it may just be a loose piece of wood from the stock stuck in there. You may be able to see the spot that it's pivoting on, it's probably a little smoother or shinier that the area around it. Try sanding that area down a bit.
If you can't see anything like that I know people use foil tape to tighten up the receiver area. It'll last a lot longer than paper.
Or upgrade to a new stock. The Magpul Hunter X-22 is nice, I didn't care for the Hogue overmolded.
Or talk to Ruger about it and see what they say.
This is the rail , but it comes with no instructions and won't fit every stock. Couldn't find any videos of it installation.
Like the other guys said, the tech sights won't work.
I just built a dedicated 22lr AR and ordered these for it - Green Blob Outdoors A.R. Fixed Mil Spec Extreme Defense Combo Front & Rear Iron Sights Set for Picatinny Rail Flattop 223 5.56 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QNE4KA8/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_ZgKTub0ESMT2K
I haven't been home yet to check them out, but if they are as good as advertised, they'll be a steal for a set of iron sights.
Edit: The front sight is solid. The rear sight aperture is a little loose, and it's riveted in place, so I'm not sure I can tighten it up. The bases themselves are very solid so I won't be returning them. I might even see if I can get an A1 aperture on there instead.
Imgur isn't working right now for some reason but here is the best shot I currently have of the front sight. I tried taking it with the top receiver screws lined up but it was awkward with phone.
I'll try to take another one tonight but at least you might be able to see how the post leans to the right a bit in this one.
Just a cheap scope mount I found on Amazon. I don't think these are the best but it was the only option since the gap from my rail to the base of the scope barely has any room for a 45 degree cant mount. The red dot does sit pretty high up so the elevation needs to be adjusted drastically. A 45 degree mounted director to your AR would be a better choice in my opinion. Link below for scope mount.

Look at the game reaper single piece mounts, might be up your alley, also...
Hate on it if you want but I have one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Monstrum-3-9x40-Rifle-Adjustable-Objective/dp/B08LXS7Y2M/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=monstrum+10%2F22&qid=1615838104&sr=8-4
Comes with a cantilever direct mount similar to the game reaper though not as quality but still. $70 for a 3-9x40 with AO with a direct mount and the glass is comparable to the cheaper vortex/bushnell/nikon scopes I have.
Here's the one I grabbed - not super $$, but feels pretty rock solid. The quick release on/off the pic rail is pretty sweet too...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FOPPN3K
Also, the mounting kit was super easy to install, and there's ZERO wiggle/wobble, which I was originally concerned about...
I bought a scope :) Went to my local gun store.... not as fancy as Leupold, but I think for the price it will do me well. Great to look through, and designed for a .22 rifle. I'm glad I bought it before I read Korlic88 & Criscomeyers comments, or I would have spent a couple hundred more for the scope than I did! :)
As it is, this is what I got; ---- know them, great people--- reminds me of why I love living in a rural area, and he threw this guy on there for me. I'm happy--- affordable good to look through. https://www.amazon.com/Simmons-511039-Matte-Black-Riflescope/dp/B000KOSB34
No you need screws to hold cup in place. This is the sling I bought to go with it. Solid build quality. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FSKWL9G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_ekKcGbY15AXA9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Does this look like it will work? Cant find magpul version in stock
Yeah, the 'rate of change' really needs to somewhat match the size of the object you're printing (or at least how fast you're going through filament). They do make 'faster' rainbow spools, and I suppose you could use the slicer's estimates on how much filament that particular print will use to size your speed changes, but it all gets a bit complicated.
Example of a 'fast' rainbow, for quicker color changes on smaller parts: https://www.amazon.com/Multicolored-Filament-Printing-Material-DO3D/dp/B07VH441CX?th=1
And a 'slower' one: https://www.amazon.com/Zi-Rui-Filament-Gradient-Dimensional-Accuracy/dp/B07GTH4666/
Note how on the fast one, each revolution around the spool will result in a visible change, whereas the slower one you've gotta print a bunch before you get more to the center of the roll.
I have a CFII 2-7 on my woods gun and it's great.
I also have this:https://www.amazon.com/Monstrum-3-9x40-Rifle-Adjustable-Objective/dp/B08LXS7Y2M
And I would say for the money it cannot be beat.
The only reason I prefer the crossfire is for that lower 2x setting when in in thicker trees and don't need the extra magnification.
The vortex is also sightly lighter and is better quality glass but 100% that monstrum is on par and comes with a one piece direct to receiver scope mount.
https://www.amazon.com/Comgrow-Creality-Printer-Upgrade-Certified/dp/B07GYRQVYV
It is a fantastic printer for the price, but be prepared to do some set up and trouble shooting. If you like to DIY upgrades I would strongly suggest an auto level for this machine. I have had the hardest time leveling this compared to any other printer.
Interesting. I believe the wood will compress over time, eventually causing you to either have to constantly tighten the M-LOK screws, or the wood will fail, or both. That's just my non-engineer opinion. Time and use will tell.
If you were to build another, you might consider attaching a section of pic rail with wood screws. You'll need to alter your bipod interface, but I think you'll end up with a more robust bipod setup.
You can see why I wish there was a molle grid on the barrel side of the case. I want to position the barrel opposite of the empty space that the stock leaves. Its not a big problem though as the entire case is well padded. You can also slip packs of 12"x18" targets in there or a cleaning kit.
Edit: And I bought it on Amazon....
For a cheap and effective cleaning kit I purchased a bore snake in .22lr and a cheap m16 cleaning kit off of Amazon. Both were had for around $15-$20 plus shipping. Comes with an oil bottle steel cleaning rod in sections that twist together and two brass wire cleaning brushes for the barrel and chamber. A nylon brush with two heads to clean the receiver etc.
You'll only need to use the barrel brush. A set of cleaning patches/old t-shirt cut to size and some hoppe's #9 and Break Free CLP or some Ballistol etc. Should do for maintenance and field stripping. A set of screw drivers or better yet a leatherman wave works well for disassembly. Depends on what you already have and want to spend.
The link is down below if you are interested in takimg a look at it.
I had the same one but it only lasted for a couple of years. It started to not focus after 5x. I have since purchased the Nikon prostaff bdc. I've had it for about three years and love it. Also, cheaper than the Simmons. http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-ProStaff-Rimfire-Black-Riflescope/dp/B004JMQ9I2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428262061&sr=8-1&keywords=nikon+22
edit; I can spell good.
I actually only have one of the cheapie clip-on ones that I've had since I was a kid. Works great for what I do with mine. Basically, I use it to steady it to zero any rifle in, but other than that, it's in the range bag. Really don't use a bipod much, and since they add weight, along with everything else, I stripped a lot of the "junk" off my 10/22 folder just to keep it lean.
Points for creativity! I put this adhesive foam over most of my cheek pieces (cut to fit the top and an inch on each side), and it helps a ton on especially hot/cold days. Also more comfortable for long bench sessions.
I assume you are talking about something like this -
https://www.amazon.com/Feyachi-V30-2MOA-Sight-1-5X/dp/B08XXGSHSZ/
A Flip-Up/Flip-Away Magnifier.
The only problem I could think of is there might be an ideal distance between the Magnifier and the Red-Dot. If you can place the Magnifier in that working range, it should be fine.
I'm also concerned about the height of the Red-Dot mount. The Red-Dot and the Magnifier will have to be aligned so you can sight through both of them.
Did that Red-Dot mount come with the Holosun, or is that something you bought aftermarket?
Just Curious, how is it attached to the barrel, is it just a clamp?
This rail is pretty much exactly what I have and should work with whatever rings you buy. I agree, vortex has great bang for the buck. I considered a Leupold but I didn’t want to drop $300-$400 for a .22 scope.
Hey all! This is my "Almost final" build for my first 10/22, it's taken a few years to get to this point. This is currently the most consistent rifle in my collection and easily plinks 3" steel at 230 yards, hopefully I can find a range to stretch it out more. Last shot groups were a .5" spread at 100 yards using CCI Standard. Parts as follows:
Stock Ruger receiver
Stock Ruger Bolt
KIDD 20" .22LR Fluted threaded bull barrel
Magpul Hunter X-22
Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP 4-16x44
Lion Gears Scout-pod Tactical Pro Bipod (Soon to be replaced with Magpul)
I have one issue I would love some assistance with, I recently mounted the Diamondback Tactical since it was sitting idle on another rifle I don't have the range to really shoot. It's a perfect match for features, but the eye relief is 3.9", which is FAR too long for the current mounted position at the maximum of adjustment. Can anyone recommend a good quality cantilever mount? Thanks all!
Here are a couple of cantilever pic rails for the 10/22 that will push your mount forward.
Are you the original owner? Can we assume you bought the Gun new?
Some will use Loctite or something else to hold the Buffer in place on the assumption that it never has to be removed.
The fit can be variable on these pins, some tight some loose, can we assume you are replacing the metal buffer with some non-metal type?
As someone else said, a Pin Punch and a light Hammer should be enough. Most would say that you should use a brass punch, but that's going to depend on how easy it is to find one or a set.
https://www.amazon.com/SE-ST1032B-8-Piece-Brass-Drive/dp/B002Q86RLK/
Occasionally these will come out in one direct easier than the other.
Ideally, you should be able to tap the pin out. Likely if you really have to hammer is hard, then something else is wrong. Likely paint, loktite, or something else is holding it in.
Any particular reason why you need a Short Rail?
https://www.amazon.com/Monstrum-Picatinny-Scopes-Optics-Silver/dp/B09CB8VBLK/
More that likely if you have a Silver colored Receiver, it is Aluminum not Stainless Steel.
Interesting. I just hope my new one works I got this https://www.amazon.com/Profile-Picatinny-Weaver-Rings-Compact/dp/B001WJ4J64/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=30PLTAH218F9X&keywords=utg+weaver&qid=1661476908&sprefix=%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-7
https://www.amazon.com/TRUGLO-Lightweight-1-Inch-Hunting-Rimfire/dp/B084P8VPBT
It will use the top dovetail only. The receiver should have the old rimfire dovetail under that plate. The rimfire dovetails are near 100 years old.
I just added those in silver I found this looks likey current base and damn close to same ring clamps I have now not fitting
I put the ones you linked in my cart in silver, thanks
https://www.amazon.com/GOTICAL-Ruger-Tactical-Compact-Rangefinder/dp/B09YJX5QY7
Agree, I'd prefer 50. Again FWIW, it's on Amazon for $259.99, which is where I got mine. It was definitely outside my planned budget, but it was pretty important to me to get something compact and light. I felt that a lot of the other stuff I was seeing was either overkill for the ranges I'd typically be shooting at or frankly just too large.
I just remembered that I put one of those TACBRO oversized charging handles on my Charger before I installed this. I wonder if that could have anything to do with my issues.
I have a few of these and they are low profile.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VV2WDI?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_ud_dp_CHQAVK5DZ9B9ZKMQDMCB Galati Gear Takedown Rifle Pouch (23 x9-Inch)
You have to add one, but if you add one the barrel/forearm doesn't clip into the stock recess
( https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/21Mu24Vb4dL.\_AC\_US40\_.jpg )
I got mine on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KCEHOTS ) and it takes a little forearm internal mod to fit it (there's an internal plate and you have to trim some support ribs for a flush fit)
If you plan on doing it more than a few times, this would help
The issue I've run into is that I've seen "medium" and "low" thrown around basically without meaning. I have that exact scope on my 10-22 and I'm using these medium mounts. Now, I'm using an EGW extended scope base because I like my scopes to be pushed VERY far forward for adequate eye relief (thanks Appleseed), but you can see that the eye bell juuuuust barely clears the rails. I'd be worried if you used lows that you'd limit your forward/backward positioning.
These use the same .22 blank as a ramset to launch that number (or a duck shaped one) for dogs to practice retrieving. Or you could just stuff the guts of a t-shirt Cannon in one...
And now I know what I want to do this summer...
It's not much bit it has AO and an IR and fits in the TD bag as well as coming with QD rings. I've never seen one but I know a lot of people use them on their TD's. You might be able to find it cheaper than this also.
I kept the stock irons and used a low profile rail mount. Has a deeper groove in the center that allows better visibility under the scope.
Something like this.
If this is a serious question, what ranges do you see yourself shooting a Short Barreled Rifle?
The logical choice would be a good Red-Dot, but we need to determine -
How much Money you want to Spend?
I saw a reference recently to a 1x to 4x Scope which should allow extremely close shooting, and the 4x Zoom should easily take you out to 100 yards.
https://www.amazon.com/Monstrum-Tactical-Rangefinder-Reticle-Reversible/dp/B0153VR2B0/
For us to advise you, you have to layout the Parameters of your requirements.
Without a framework, we are left to guess, and that results in comments like this -

A Specific Question gets a Specific Answer.
Get a job at Magpul and work there for at least a year, only then will know what you actually need, maybe. That or spend 75 bucks more than you need to to find out.
As some who obviously has the contempt to have gone through this recently, I strongly suggest you buy aftermarket stuff on Amazon.
For example, this had everything I needed for the X-22 Backpacker:
Found it. https://www.amazon.com/Picatinny-Barrel-Band-Ruger-10/dp/B004O9AGSE
Looks like it’s out of stock now. If you look up 10/22 barrel band with rail some other sellers will come up and some with different kinds.
Super nice! I tried using carbon fiber reinforced PLA, but the fibers kept clogging the nozzle. I ended up gong with PETG. Please keep us updated how it shoots when you get around to it. In case you're looking, a 11/16" reamer does wonderfully for cleaning up the barrel hole in the print.
I've been looking at this one for one of my 10/22s. Any thoughts?

Honestly that optic and mount you posted would probably work fine if you are ballin on a budget. Heck I might have even got that myself If I had seen it earlier
It's made by Fadsports, some company that doesn't exist anymore. I don't think you can find them in stock anymore, these were bought five years ago. https://www.amazon.ca/Cover-Ruger-10-22-Magazine/dp/B01KTTNZBW

No it does not. That's why I got those UTG quick detach rings. They are actually very high quality and solid, I really recommend them. I bought them here.
Until you try it.
Granted, it has to be one of those micro sights that are about half an inch tall overall, but it's a good way to get a quick shot at close quarters.
Idk how it'll do on a pistol configuration, but with a stock and shouldered it feels pretty damn good to me
(had it on an ar build a long time ago. Thing stuck out like a sore thumb but quick target acquisition don't lie; something about slow precise shots with iron then "turning" the gun and getting good quick shots within a few inches of where I was aiming... It just works)
Edit: There's a lo pro RDS somewhere, I think it's made by HERA Arms or something, I'll try and find it. Thing would be BA how I suggest using it.
Great question, I'm wondering the same for my takedown. What about a 3x Prism scope? i'd love to have a magnifier. Anyone have experience with something like these?

There is a place on the bottom of the hunter stock to thread in a QD sling stud. You will need to drill it and either tap it for your correct QD stud or use a plastic anchor stud like this. I did that and then mounted the bipod directly to the QD stud.
This one will work with either hand

I have a soprano uke bag for mine, with an exterior pocket and plenty of room for mags.
ANY COLOR YA WANT!
Looks good for the price. Supposed to have bullet drop compensation that is adjustable. AKA gravity affects all things including bullets, and slower things take longer and get more time for gravity to do it's thing.
If it works for 22, this is good stuff. Slow bullet compared to other rifle rounds, so drop is a big factor. 4-5" at 100 yards.
The Pronghorn looks to not have any drop markings, so you get dialed in for one distance and one distance only, and no markings to change it up on the fly. That burris has lower dots for drop compensation so you can manually aim higher and compensate for this.
I have this scope except in the .223 version and it has a third adjuster for distance compensation which is quite nice. Your link is supposed to be changeable for caliber, so that's worth something. This one would be ready out of the box, but tied to it's single caliber so no swapping around .
It was my first build so I was trying to keep it fairly budget minded. I ended up going with a very cheap ($25) “.22” scope from Walmart. It wasn’t bad but distance and adjustments weren’t that good for what I was trying to accomplish. My outdoor range has steel plinks @ 160 yard and I wanted to see out as far as I could without breaking the bank so I ended up with a CVLIFE SCOPE. It’s good for what it is and in my opinion for a budget friendly gun/build it wasn’t worth paying the same amount for a scope as I paid for the gun.
I haven't shot it yet but sight picture seems good. Here's the link UTG Sub-compact Rear Sight for Shotguns, .22 Rifles https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S0QVK4G/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_V7BSJ296VYFJKR076NXH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I've seen Uncle Mike's mentioned pretty often for the 10/22.
As for slings, that's highly dependent on you. Personally, I use a sling from Tech Sights in the M1 Garand style, as that is what is recommended for Appleseed, which I highly recommend checking out if you haven't already.
US GI sling, you can get it from the Appleseed store or from AmmoGarand on Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/AmmoGarand-Green-Garand-Pattern-Cotton/dp/B072M6WBN4
It's 1.25" wide so make sure you have the swivels for it.
Get a Mothers wheel buffer and some polish, should clean it up nice, hell you could make it look like chrome, but just a light buffing will make it look like new. Cut a piece of wood that fits up inside the receiver and pin it with the trigger group pins. Clamp the wood in a vise and go to town on it.
How did you determine ‘115b’ studs are what you need? I’m under the impress studs for wood sticks are pretty generic - I see lots of them on Amazon…

I'm waiting for my Takedown, and the options that I considered:
1) Get a Magpul X-22 Backpacker Optic Mount Black that mounts on a barrel, and get a scout scope with long eye relief. Not sure if it's worth the money.
2) Mount a UTG BugBuster and the receiver and deal with the zero shift every time I reassemble the gun. Not sure if the zero shift won't be a deal breaker.
3) Just mount a red dot like TRS-25 or Romeo5, they are 3 MOA and 2 MOA, anyway. Since I have them both sitting in my closet, this is probably the way to go for me. I already have a spare Picatinny rail for 10/22, too.
4) I have a Vortex 3x prism scope on the other gun, maybe I'll put it on 10/22, they 3x magnification is just enough for 50-70 yards. But the zero shift, again.
I use clenzoil personally. I have this kit in my range bag and a larger bottle of cleaner on my bench.
Thanks, man.
What do you recommend for lube? I got a can of G96, but that was more for cleaning. It says it lubes as well, but I'm open to ideas.
Burris Fullfield E1 4.5-14x42mm, Long Range MOA, $168 now from Amazon.
It's a discontinued model, so cheap, but I believe the Long Range MOA reticle is better than E1 Ballistic Plex that Burris still offers.
It has side parallax adjustment (50 yards to Infinity), that is just unbelievable for this price.
I just mounted it on the Sporter 10/22 last week, the scope's great, clear glass, the 50 yards parallax minimum is OK, and the MOA reticle could be useful beyond 100 yards since the 22LR bullet drops a lot after ~70-80 yards.
You're not stupid, you just didn't know. Big difference. Good luck with your gun, should be a good shooter once you get what you need. Also consider picking up a small bubble level, like these so you can make the scope alignment perfect.

If you want less things bolted onto less things, you can try something like this.
I like that it's less parts attached to parts, and directly bolts to the 10/22 receiver. I've got one holding a Leupold FX-1, and it's almost as low as the irons were which I find quite handy.
There was someone that commented on scope eye relief change with this exact configuration. They deleted their comment before I could reply the following:
If you compare my pictures of the before and after in the album, the scope is within 1/2" the same position as it was prior when it was mounted on the receiver. It was still well within the eye relief for the Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32.
You have a valid concern though. My response is... It depends. It depends on the shooter, the cantilever and also the scope used. There are longer and slimmer cantilever mounts out there, but this was just the first one I tried. Like I just said, it all depends on the scope as well.
If someone wants to use this post as verbatim they can get the aforementioned scope with this Monstrum Slim Profile Series Offset Cantilever Picatinny Scope Mount | 1 inch Diameter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G2SM28N/
And also that Magpul addon, which is meant for the Backpacker stock.
In all honesty, this solution will work on both the x-22 Backpacker and x-22 Hunter stocks. The Hunter is the only one that requires a Dremel to cut away plastic.
I would like to hear if people down the road use different scopes/mounts and/or improvise my solution.
so every scope and gun are different. i cant tell what scope that is, but i used these with a 32mm objective scope and had room to spare....

weaver's "mediums" are very low. other company's low rings would work. i like warne and weaver brands.
im a bit ocd with scope height. some of mine are so low that you can just barely fit a buisiness card between the objective and the rail/sight.
keep in mind, its not uncommon to have to buy a set of rings, find out they are a hair too low, and then buy something else. there is no hard and fast rule on ring height because of how many scopes and gun combinations their are.

You can probably find it cheaper somewhere else, but that's what I can get with a quick Google search. You might also be able to find one used on r/gunaccessoriesforsale. And I feel you on that, I sunk over $1200 into my 1022, so I decided to go with a DNZ mount for like $50

This is the mount I ended up using.
It's not about compatible a sling, so much as it is about the hardware. I'd say to get an affordable sling, like from u/AM-Design and a sling mounting kit for the front stud like this (sorry; I don't know how to hyperlink in Reddit):
You posted the same picture twice so I'm not exactly sure, but from what I see of the Tapco chassis, it has a sling swivel in the rear already.
Here, fits in a pelican case top I believe, if you want to go that route later.
Sharp eye
I think it works well even when we are in the field. Still may see the occasional mosquito flying around, but have yet to receive a bite. Before the Thermacell, I would poorly accept the risk of going without bug spray and consistently get a couple bites each trip. Now I just keep the Thermacell always mounted on an iso-butane canister in my truck.
For curiosity, I actually purposely took a whiff of the Thermacell this time and did not detect a odor. Your results may vary as my sense of smell is typically weak. I only know that the Thermacell is lit by feeling slight heat from the refill pad
This scope is really great. Not just for the price, it's actually a quality scope. I love mine. It's 3-9x40. You can get a 3-9x32 for $10 cheaper but if you were going to spend a couple hundred dollars anyway I think you would be fine with $50.
Also do you know if these fit? I know it is risky buying 'cheaper' stuff
My build is almost the exact same. I didn't put a rail on my receiver, but I swapped out the takedown mechanism with the backpacker optic mount.
I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/TekMat-Gun-Cleaning-Mat-Ruger/dp/B003JODRK4/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=ruger+10%2F22+tekmat&qid=1625182897&sr=8-5 But its not available anymore

Your link doesn't work. We're you linking to the Athlon Argos BTR 6-24? This is a very good scope for this price.

I was thinking of mounting this scope to my 10/22 takedown. Should I try to mount it to the barrel? If so do you know what I need to get to mount it to the barrel?
