Get these ear plugs. Should lower the volume down a tad and you can enjoy the movie without your ear drums bursting.
Do you have an Android phone? If so, I have a perfect solution for you.
Download this app: App Cloner (no root required or anything)
Scroll to and click the AMC Theatres app
Change the name to something to help you differentiate between your account and your friend's. You can also change the icon color (hue, saturation, lightness)
Press the check button and start cloning the app
Install the cloned version
It appears the only functionality you'll lose (on the cloned version) is being able to use the map function of the app (unless you get a Google Maps API key, then it should still work), but you can still input a location and use the list of theaters.
Just be logged into your own account on the original install, then log into your friend's account on the cloned version :)
If you're running iOS, unless you're jailbroken, you'll just have to log out and in between the accounts

$16 on Amazon for one pair in the keychain..
For $24, you get two pair in the metal case (check the coupon box to take off $6) so you can offer protection to your friend when you go to the movies together.
Both prices are pre-sales-tax.
Tasker is what you're looking for :)
I actually just have a smartwatch so my phone notification sounds are always disabled. Just have to remember to put the watch in theatre mode if I'm not wearing a jacket.
This happened to me a couple updates ago, so I'm still running an old ver with no prob. it gonna suck when they do a forced update.
I got old ver here:
You need a CC to sign up for A-List, and the first month gets billed on the CC. I've heard some people say though they can pay for their second (and later) months with an AMC gift card, I have no idea if thats true or false, anyone know?
This seems to be the AMC groupon OP posted, it seems to be sold out (at least for me) maybe its available for you after you login to groupon https://www.groupon.com/deals/amc-theatres-18q1-1
The best deal available is to get the student Spotify Premium package. For $5 a month you get Spotify Premium, Hulu, and Showtime together. You just need a few personal details for a student to qualify.
Nothing: Hernia repair & vasectomy scheduled for Monday, so I'm on blu-rays for a while. However, on the plus side my order of the Star Trek: The Original Series arrived today, so that'll be distracting. ;-)
that's good advice; yeah I try not to reuse passwords, my email has been "pwned" too much (haveibeenpwned.com). The password for my AMC account is unique, which is why I thought AMC may have been hacked as opposed to some other site where I reused the password.
The picture and sound (especially) is best there. I go to movies when there's less than 10 people and never leave to the bathroom anyway.

I too am a fanatic for their popcorn. Looked high and low for years and this one fills the craving. I heat it up in the microwave before putting it on my popcorn.
This "problem" only started when my local started having reserve seats last month. I had no hassles before.
"If you’re going to pay for a trip to the movie, you may as well get the best seat you can. So, where is that seat? According to the way most theaters are set up, it will be two-thirds of the way back, in the center of the row."

> but you made it a problem for everyone right?
lol?
>If you are one seat off, does it matter?
No, just want to be close to center. Sound is best there and better picture when 3D & less glare with glasses. I've done some recording & mixing for some local garage bands, so I may by a little more particular. Here's from a pro:

I use Privacy.com to pay AMC. I have just "pause" the monthly payment to AMC. I will try to call and speak to an AMC service agent, but whether I get to talk to an agent or not, AMC won't be able to charge me.
I really recommend people start using Privacy.com to pay AMC and other recurring payment.
I use privacy.com, which provides pseudo card numbers for any purchases you want to set them up for. My AMC payment card is disabled other than the one day per month that the A*List payment is taken out.
I love going to Dolby screenings, but they are almost always waaaaaay too loud for me (previews and movie). I remember being in physical pain during John Wick 3. I've taken to keeping these on my key chain specifically for AMC visits.

You can make Icee's at home: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XM9BPKH/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_DrAYFbXFKJF3A?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
My friend had one of these and it worked pretty well - not necessarily theater level, but close...
Dolby movies are really loud. Even though I can handle it even I think it's too loud. My wife can't handle it. It hurts her ears. I got her these ear plugs for Dolby showings and that has helped her. Maybe give something like that a try.
Same problem here. It's not just the app; the website doesn't work either. I'm in the Philippines, and I had issues when I was trying to purchase Dark Knight tickets. I use Private Internet Access VPN service, but not every server gives me full functionality with AMC's app. There's also often an issue with credit card processing using IP routed through a VPN. I re-joined A-List even though I'm abroad for another week in case Endgame tickets go on sale before the rumored April 2.
It sucks; I guess it's to prevent abuse from bots, but customers shouldn't need a workaround when traveling abroad to book tickets in advance.
They make similar styles for different models of phones. This is what I was thinking of:

It fits two cards but you may be able to cut out part of the inner layer in this hybrid case to make room for a third. The edges are the important part.
Slapping a cheap screen protector or skin on that area of the back of the phone would help prevent scratching from the cards if you care about that sort of thing.
Check if your insurance company has an app with a virtual insurance card. Then you can leave the physical one in your car and cover the majority of cases where you would need one without always carrying it.
