Yeah, they've definitely got some stuff in common. I talk about the similarities and differences in this podcast and they happened to excerpt that part in text in the post: https://kotaku.com/after-nearly-a-decade-of-development-spy-party-is-look-1824147658
It's also available on Amazon for the same price:
I added an additional year to my subscription, which is now good till 2021, and I'm wondering if I should push it to 2022. People need to jump on this because PS Plus going for this price doesn't happen often, unlike XBL deals, which are way more frequent.
I actually mostly use emulators.
There are some really good free NES and Genesis emulators for Android.
Another great find was some Quake and Doom engine emulators that let you run games based on these engines on Android phones - Quake 1,2,3, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, Return to Castle Wolfenstein etc. all run great.
Unfortunately, they have been removed from the Play store now, but you can still get them from the Amazon App store:

Correct, they have no plans to put VC on the Switch.
https://kotaku.com/virtual-console-is-not-coming-to-switch-nintendo-says-1825848253
That doesn't mean they won't sell games though, just that VC won't exist. I suspect that Nintendo titles will stay behind the subscription pay wall.
Well it took like six months longer than I expected but I finished my masterwork of literature in the sandwich fiction genre. It's a sequel absolutely no one asked for, but it was fun to write and I got some friends to throw in some illustrated artwork as well. Well actually I had like three of em wuss out on me so I replaced them with fiverr artists but still, super neat to see my creative works in visual form.
Set it up for preorder, so be sure to read the thrilling first installment (preferably by paying to do so) in preparation for the much more grandiose and better written second entry!

If you're spending all your available money, so to a kid all their available money would some of the sources I listed, you wouldn't call that an addition? I mean that total amount of money might seem insignificant to a working adult like us right now but for a kid that definitely is a lot.
Everything is definitely their choice, but isn't that what an addition is? That they can't help themselves, they can't control themselves enough to not make that choice.
Here is the article on it: https://kotaku.com/meet-the-19-year-old-who-spent-over-10-000-on-microtra-1820854953
It starts small when they're kids and amount grows as they get older. Its not 10k on a single transaction but over time.
Slow ass work day, need to get home and hunt some monsters! I really need to get to rank 5 so I can do the Horizon event quest.
This article from Kotaku is cracking me up about how people create sexy looking characters in MHW but look totally different in game. Some of the pictures are hilarious:

Nothing to do with entitlement. It has to do with respect for the IP in which they are creating a videogame for. At the very least the Enterprise had to make an appearance to make it a Star Trek game. And here I thought we were friends, yet you choose to go off on this rant about gamer entitlement against me. Oh well...
As much as I love the music in the game I don't have a turntable anymore. Thankfully it is not being sold by Jeremy Soule's old DirectSong site as they have a Better Business Bureau rating of F
Also, if Jeremy gets even a penny of the money then I will not spend. At this point it is like he stole $120,000 from his most loyal fans who donated to his kickstarter, which was originally promised to be delivered 4 years ago.

Basically, nah. Not really. In gamers' efforts to villainize EA as much as possible, the truth is gleefully glossed over and nuance largely goes ignored.
No worries, just wanted you to know for the future as it's pretty much no work and makes it pretty.

So, just stumbled across an article talking about a program for businesses doing work from home:
In order to keep productivity high while working remotely, some companies are turning to tools like Sneek. The software features a "wall of faces" for each office, which stays on throughout the workday and features constantly-updating photos of workers taken through their laptop camera every one to five minutes.
fuck. that. no way in hell i would ever agree to that.
Yes there is. I just bought this a couple weeks ago:
You'll see Venom in a new light
AoA is pretty damn Amazing. Have you checked out X-Men House of M. Scarlett Witch is Very, Very Powerful.
Have you read the storyline of Maximum Carnage. Spider-Man & Venom had to team up to take down Carnage.
in other news, i wound up grabbing some Spicy and Spicy trail mix off of amazon, their own brand. it's decent, but it's not sweet or spicy. they more or less cancel each other out.

So, due to a moment of carelessness on my part, i knocked down my monitor. which at first, didn't look like there was much consequence to, before i noticed the scratches.
basically, it just forced my hand on upgrading my monitor which i've been procrastinating on for awhile. basically, my requirements was that it would be as good or better than my current monitor, with a bigger screen. i placed a limit of $400. i paid $300 for it.

i thought about getting a QHD monitor, but my research from Tom's Hardware more or less stated that there wouldn't be much point with a monitor the size i wanted (31 inch or bigger) with my gpu. it recommended a 3060 TI as a minimum for that size of monitor, i have a 2070 and no intention on upgrading for at least another few years.
i also found three MSI monitors on pc part picker, but the only one i was really tempted by had a 2 week backorder. which, yeah. not waiting that fucking long just to order it.
means i probably won't be playing much until my new monitor arrives. never had a curved monitor before.

I'm curious because it sounds like you've gotten good at cutting your own hair, what do you use for a razor?
I use Philips Norelco BG7030/49. It's not designed for doing head hair but it actually works good. It just takes awhile because the cutter isn't as wide and I need to keep getting the hair out of the comb. The only other thing I have used it for is trimming downtown. I would want something better if I had hair as thick as Mog's.
Nice try, but this is a video game forum and
Plants Vs Zombies 2 Xbox One Digital code via Amazon $8
was going to create a thread, but wasn't sure about the rules on posting deals.
just noticed that FTL (steam version) is $2.50 on amazon right now.
I got:
A second charger
This case: http://www.gamestop.com/nintendo-switch/accessories/nintendo-switch-premium-console-case-mario-edition/140260 It's ok but I really wanted this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5T26EP/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which according to Amazon should be coming in today.
A 128GB memory card
The play and charge grip because I thought it was something that had a battery that would charge the Joycons while I played without needing to be plugged in. I didn't realize it was just a normal charger that needs to be plugged in the whole time. Since I don't have an outlet close enough this has actually been pretty worthless for me, but at least I'll have a second grip when I get a second set of Joycons someday.
I didn't buy any Amiibos but I already had the Twilight Princess Wolf Link one.
Amazon has this one that should work with Comcast, for $130. Of course I would check first with them to make sure it's compatible but it says certified by Comcast in the description.
I bought my own cable modem when I was with Time Warner Cable in New York (another DOCSIS 3 one), and saved the monthly modem rental fees, but I don't think I even have the option to use my own with AT&T.

Just bought Overcooked for the Switch. I'll try it out tonight after work.
I also received the joy con grips from Amazon yesterday: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XZ1PCKK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Tried it out with Snipperclips yesterday and they work great. The Switch can be a great party console if they keep releasing couch coop games.
Just saw that Okami HD for PS4/Xbone will be $19.99. Up for pre-order at Amazon.
I generally hear good things about the Netgear Nighthawk routers. And the Nighthawk AC1750 seems to fit your criteria and is under $100 on Amazon.
I can’t find this one on ms’ site anymore but it shipped today for me. Found the same setup on Amazon though and it’s sold out there too.

other than keeping that SSD as a boot up drive (it's what i do), i'd recommend either upgrading your HDD or putting another one in, if you have the room in your tower, though that's personal preference talking there, i keep a lot of stuff on my pc, heh. i'd also recommend a minimum of 16 GB of ram, double that if its within your budget.

offhand, my current set up is:
240 GB SSD - Boot Up drive (gift from Finger)
1 TB Samsung HDD (kept from my old computer)
3 TB Hitachi HDD - currently about $50 on Amazon

A little help? Anyone have any insights to purchasing a sound bar? I'm a bit stumped at what to look for as far as important features, and prices swing wildly from $150 to $800.
I don't really need anything sophisticated, just an improvement over the tv speakers which shouldn't be hard. My living room is fairly small, and I don't need something to shake the foundation of the house. Most reviews are either useless (It's Great! A+ Stars!) or a lecture from a symphony freak. I'm no audiophile so debating the finer points between Dolby Megamus vs Dolby Maximus is pointless. It's just for general use and gaming. My guess is that a relatively simple sound bar + wireless subwoofer is the way to go, but I'd appreciate any ideas.
Any specific pros/cons to look out for? Like using HDMI vs Bluetooth or optical? My priority is improved sound and the ability to use one remote, which I gather points to HDMI? If using Bluetooth is going to cause lag or other problems? Thanks for any feedback.
I was looking at these, the Samsung 450/550/650 line:
I have this.
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-AC511-USB-Wired-SoundBar/dp/B00DEJXRAE
I just wanted a cheap soundbar, and this one had the best reviews and price point. Plus, it's easy plug and play and it fits right in the space between my HDTV/Monitor and the stand for it. I forget it's there half the time. I just pump it up to 100 and adjust the volume via my keyboard. Not sure if you're looking for something fancier than that.
I got one of these off of ebay for my 12.9" iPad Pro.
https://www.amazon.com/Gamevice-Controller-IPad-Pro-12-9-Mac/dp/B01NBTHRAR
It was June of last year on Amazon. It was an Intel SSD, that is slower than even the Samsung ones out at the same time but I paid around $180 plus tax, a great price for 2 TB. It is fine for gaming too. I have all my games installed on it and things load at good speeds.
I know these Xbox ones will be faster, and optimized for the console, but for people buying the console, extra storage, maybe an extra controller to play with family, and a few games to actually have something to do, we're talking upwards of $1000. That is a lot of money, which is why I'm passing for now even though I want to get either this or a PS5.
in other news, decided to shave since i'd been putting off for a few days. used a new shave butter i bought off of amazon, more out of curiosity than anything else (i bought more of the Cremo i usually use at the same time, just in case, which turned out to be a good idea). it fucking sucks. i used far more than the "quarter-sized" amount the bottle recommended, and still wound up with irritated skin. it's so thin it has no place calling itself a shave butter. definitely keeping with Cremo from now on.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OX5ZDI2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it sucks.
If you are in the mood for an ARPG in the vein of Diablo for Switch: Victor Vrav is only $20 on Amazon:

Good looking, good sounding, hopefully they last a very long time for you.
If I didn't have such a damned fine pair of studio headphones, I'd consider saving $$$ for something like those. Mine cost me about $180, 12 years ago...they're still just as good as new. As you say, "you get what you pay for".
Pre-orders up on Amazon:

That's how I use it. PC audio jack goes to an audio splitter which allows me to swap between speakers & headset at the press of a button.
For a console, you may want to utilize a lower impedance headset. Ultimately, this will give you a higher maximum volume while using less drain on your controller battery.
High impedance generally sounds better, but it requires amplification. That's why you rarely see 250 Ohm headsets being marketed toward gaming -- extra hardware is required to run them.
I would get something like this mobo instead. Your mobo is fine for non-overclocked cpus. But the on board coolers for CPU are slim on the current ones you have. I'd spend the extra 20 bucks for the one I linked.
GTX 2070 is $549.99. GTX 1080, if you can find new, are around the same price and more. GTX 1070ti is ~$400.
lol
So, here's the flight stick that I'm going to buy for Ace Combat 7:

I was thinking about getting the HORI one, but it's close to $200 in Japan, and I'm not spending that much for one.
I bought a Dock Sock for mine. It keeps the screen from potentially scratching when sliding in and out of the dock, and it holds it in there firmly so it doesn't wobble.
There are cheaper ones without designs.
is the razor i'm using now. works pretty damn well. especially since i have some decent shaving cream, which helps a lot more than i expected now that i'm not using the cheap shit my dad buys from the store. currently still have a little bit of a Nivea face scrub, and i have some https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WQH8SA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&th=1 that also works well, though honestly i prefer the Nivea stuff, it's just that the only option i've found for it online is a six pack that costs $60 on fucking walmart.com, and i'm not buying that much or paying that much for it in one go.
So, dust off that old SNES, because a game is being released for the first time outside of Japan:

Return of Super Double Dragon.
i loved those old beat em up games back in the day. Double Dragon, TMNT, Battletoads.
Amazon has the same price for the PS4 version. It's currently listed as "temporarily out of stock," but as of right now you can still buy it at that price.
It's too late for this time but I have one of these and it really helps when you're worried about flooding:
I'll be putting time into the Sea of Thieves beta and more Civ 6. Also, my wireless headset crapped out last night. I ordered a new one off Amazon and luckily they had same day shipping available. It's nice living near a distribution center.
https://www.amazon.com/Chicago-Cutlery-Elston-16pc-Block/dp/B00D7ON38W/
That's an example of something I was looking at. Maybe they moved the cutoff time far earlier in the day? I use to be able to order by early afternoon to beat the cutoff for the day. Wouldn't be the first time being in the EST time zone has screwed me over.
Good luck with everything. If you end up with type 2 diabetes, you can actually reverse it through diet. Doctors don't tell patients that because it doesn't make them money, and they also (rightly) assume their patients won't make the necessary lifestyle changes. With a mostly raw, plant based diet, you can totally reverse type 2 diabetes. It's the worst diet ever for a typical American, but it's a damn sight better than relying on insulin shots for the rest of your life.
Here is a book about it if you are interested:
No judgement from me, I couldn't eat like this guy suggests, but my wife does. I read it because she wouldn't shut up about it, lol. Good luck either way, dude.
So, I've been watching a ton of videos about bushcraft and primitive craft. I've done some of the stuff in the past, but these guys and girls really put out some interesting stuff.
I might try to put some of that into practice this winter and then definitely after winter passes.
In related news, I got my Ontario blade in Saturday. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CXPKEK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
in other news, started taking what's basically an herbal supplement for pain recently. a plant called Arnica Montana. originally bought a gel with it in it as a bruise salve since they were getting pretty ****ing annoying from work, then i wound up buying the same crap in a quick dissolving pellet form on a whim since i paid for it using a promo credit amazon gave me as an apology for fucking up my order of laundry detergent. twice.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013JKW8Z2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
anyway, to the point, i'd highly recommend this stuff to people over the standard over the counter pain killers. it's been way more damn effective than Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Aleve, or any combination thereof has ever been for me when i've used them.
basically, you dissolve five of the pellets (made of sugar and milk) under your tongue up to three times a day.
If you're looking for one, you might consider this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V62XBQQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It was only $69.99 when I bought it (and it was the day of the big thanks promo so that took another $8.63 off), and it seems to be a bit more than that now but still a pretty good deal for the amount of storage, IMHO. It's been working great in my Switch.
I turn 32 today. Bought myself a new Switch case and a 200GB MicroSD card. I had been looking for a case and they finally had some in at GameStop. I'm going on a trip in a couple of weeks and plan on bringing the Switch with me.
Theres a really neat Android App on the Amazon Store that allows you to run Quake, Quake 2, Doom, Jedi Outcast and a bunch of others on your phone/tablet.
Check it out: https://www.amazon.com/Beloko-Games-Q2-Touch/dp/B010T7DN2U/ref=sr_1_3?s=mobile-apps&ie=UTF8&qid=1493045285&sr=1-3
It supports controllers and/or touch-screen. Its actually really neat.
