Yep Aniplex is known for those kind of prices (SAO, Fate, Kill la Kill, Erased, March Comes in like a Lion, Blue Exorcist, Monogatari, Durarara, etc).
If you are willing to import, you can get it from Amazon UK for $49 after international shipping. You will need an all-region or European player, though, since the discs are region coded B. Comes with both subbed and dubbed in English.
Also available on Amazon for the same price, by the way.
BNTROPICAL also gives you 20% off your entire order if it's $60 or more.
Last day for this is the 13th. There's also supposed to be a couple of other deals coming later this month, the most notable being BNSPARKLER which gives you 25% off an order of $100 or more, which is gonna go from the 12th to the 17th. If that sounds better, waiting may be the better choice.
edit: So it looks like B&N is being awful, and has cancelled both promotions as of 7/13 (despite their original expiration dates being what they were). Sucks for those of us who were still waiting...
If you still want to take advantage of some B&N deals, BNSUNNY is still working (takes 10% off $75+ or 15% off $125+) but today (7/13) is the last day.
Better price at Right Stuf. See reply below.
~~[Amazon US] Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt December Sky Blu-ray ($19.99) - Previous low was $23, also on Amazon.~~
>As far as I know Crunchyroll only pays for the rights to stream anime
Are you forgetting that CR originally planned on distributing titles by themselves? via
I think the reality is that anything with a CR logo on probably means they are the ones that hold the master license for it, not FUNi.
[Amazon US] Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind Box Set (~~$36.98~~ $36.75 - third-party direct only) - Hardcover manga, originally debuted at ~$35 in 2012.
[Amazon US] The Ghost in the Shell Deluxe Complete Box Set (~~$51.58~~ $54.91) - Hardcover manga box set. Second lowest-ever price on Amazon since it's pre-order-only price of $49.99. Availability at $49.XX from third-party sellers.
The second half of the show was broadcast on Japanese TV in 26 quarter hour segments, which was put together as 13 regular episodes on home media along with the 13 from the first half (see the note on the AniDB description). Hence the episode count on AniDB/MAL won't match the episode count on disc since the former counts broadcast episodes.
~~[Amazon US] Black Cat Complete Series DVD S.A.V.E. Edition ($15.99) - Ends at 3:24 EDT. Historical low on Amazon is $14.99, but in 2013. Recent low was $15.62, almost a full year ago.~~
[Amazon US] The Perfect Insider Blu-ray (~~$18.31, via third-party seller~~ ~~$16.99~~ $17.15) - Beats Sentai's current price of $21. Historical low, from what I can tell. It's been incrementally dropping price in small amounts for about a week now.
[edit] $16.17. It keeps dropping. If you're interested, don't wait too long to pull the trigger. When it drops in small amounts like this, one purchase can shoot it right back up.
[edit] $17.15 now. Looks like somebody bit.
[Amazon US] Black Lagoon: Season 1 & 2 - Lightning Deal starts at 3:24 PM. Current price is $34.99. Lowest ever was $16.99.

Amazon uk has the full set for under 50 bucks usd with shipment accounted for. So yeah, unless you have the money to spare i'd rather get a uk blu ray player.
Relevant links for those interested:
But yea these won’t work on an American player, you’ll need an all-region one or import from the UK.
If you want that version of Z get this https://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Seasons-Collection-Exclusive/dp/B075KZBHD6/ref=sr_1_11?dchild=1&keywords=dragonball+Z&qid=1626732397&sr=8-11
Comes in a box to hold them all for $50 cheaper.
For FMA there is Ed's pocket watch, not sure of the quality of the one I linked but there are lots of different brands that make them.
Danmachi LN volume 3 has been price matched on Amazon
Also since it isn't showing up for some reason here is a link to the post I made 2 days ago with a lot of Manga and LN volumes that are currently ~40% off on Amazon. I updated it last night and will update it again soon with some new deals I noticed.
So glad they are having To Your Eternity Vol 3 as a part of this deal - I got Vol 1 when they had it for Manga Mondays and I'm so glad I picked it up. Its a really great story - definitely a melancholic note to it though. Vol 1 is on Amazon for $8.50, Vol 2 is more or less full price: https://www.amazon.com/Your-Eternity-1-Yoshitoki-Oima/dp/1632365715/
Going to take the dive on A Polar Bear in Love Vol 2. Reviews on Amazon say Vol 1 is a rather quirky story - not what you would expect from the cover. Also, Vol 1 is on Amazon for only $8.87 if you want to take the full plunge (pun intended!): https://www.amazon.com/Polar-Bear-Love-Vol-Shirokuma/dp/0316441716/
~~[Amazon US] Trigun Complete Series DVD ($14.99) - Ends at 12:30 am EDT. Historic low was $12.99, but it was Black Friday 2015.~~
~~[Amazon US] Date A Live Season 1 Blu-ray/DVD S.A.V.E. Edition ($16.10) - Ends 1:39 am EDT. It was $15 as recently as April during a Funimation sale, although I think it might have been $13 at least once in the last year? Amazon had a low of $14.28 in August of last year, but it's been above this price ever since.~~
~~[Amazon US] FLCL Complete Series DVD ($13.99) - Ends 1:39 am EDT. Had a historic low on Amazon on Black Friday 2015 for $12.99.~~
[Amazon US] Yuri on Ice Blu-ray/DVD ($32.99) - Lowest ever on Amazon is $32.49. Also available at Best Buy
Replying to this comment since it piggy-backs on this coupon:
[Amazon US] Death Note (All-in-One Edition) ($17.65) - with code PRIMEBOOKS18. Lowest was $20.09
~~[Amazon US] Black Lagoon Complete Series Blu-ray/DVD $26.89 - Nowhere near the historic low on Amazon. It was $16.99 on Amazon in December of last year and close to that a couple months earlier.~~
I don't think this will work with a free trial because at the bottom of this page it says that the promotion is not valid for All-AccessPass subscribers currently in a free trial.
These coupons work on all items as far as I know including pre-orders and limited editions. Notably, they work on Aniplex releases like The Garden of Sinners Blu-ray Box and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works Limited Edition Blu-ray Box Set 1.
This is as much of a sale as Aniplex gets. Frequent Otaku complaint.
The only way to get the discs cheaper is to import the UK version (~$53 depending on exchange rates) but it is locked to Region B so you'll need a region free player.

In case you weren't aware, the A Silent Voice manga box set is selling new on Amazon right now for $56.99 + free shipping
And it currently on sale at RightStufAnime for an even better deal at $51.54 + free shipping
Updated to add Seis Manos.
If you do not use iTunes, please check other streaming services for the same titles. Below is the same Yashahime for $3.99 for example.
https://www.amazon.com/Yashahime-Princess-Half-Demon-English-Season/dp/B09QXZ2WQJ
Amazon has S1-3 in the $100+ range---only entries for S4 that I've tracked down from my search results are bootlegs though (Amazon had all seasons on Prime video but they're no longer available now of course).
I did the main link to the 2nd box set.
Box Set 1 here: https://www.amazon.com/Magic-Knight-Rayearth-Anniversary-Manga/dp/1632368862/
Both are price dropped to the cheapest price they have ever been.
Box Set 2 is shipped+sold by Amazon while Box Set 1 is sold by "TwinLine Shops" and shipped by Amazon.
Yeah it's Discotek's DVD release from 2016---only got it from Amazon as I was gonna use one of those 10% off codes Right Stuf sent out earlier this year for it but it went out of stock as I was debating it (ended up using it on 3 Lupin Blus + the Lupin 50th anniversary book instead of that and the Lupin book). I could've waited it out with Right Stuf but to be on the safe side went with Amazon as of now it keeps fluctuating between 2 and 3 copies in stock with the status: Order soon minus the more on the way---so its posssibly going OOP soon but who knows. Either way hopefully it gets a Blu soon if just a SD Blu.
You didn't make a mistake, that's the limited edition of Overlord. You might be missing the art cards though.
See this for reference: Link
It looks to me like the online prices haven't gone up at all. For instance, the Gundam Origins hardcovers retail for $29.95 and the online price is at $20.05.
Updated with most items from my wishlist. Feel free to PM me if you find any other deals. I prefer Amazon only due to Prime, and their holiday return policy.
Amazon's Holiday Return Policy
Short version.
Products that you ordered between November 1 and December 31 of 2014 can be returned by January 31, 2014 for a full refund.
It will be very difficult to find any anime figures under $50, let alone AoT Titan figures, as there is barely any.
There’s the Attack Titan Pop Up Parade Figure ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09B9Q2X4J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_G8KG9Z2Q5Q1XMVC3JPEY ) that comes in at around that price, but it won’t be released until next year. The only other thing I can think of is the titan head’s you can buy on Ebay. There’s an Attack Titan version and a Colossal version.
Any of the Vizbig are really sweet deals at buy 2 get one free, especially when you add in the bonus discount on the cheaper item. I have been reading the new release Ranma 1/2 combo books, they contain two volumes in one. Ranma has been one of my favorite series since I watched the anime when I was a teenager. I recommend it!
> Today only, May 17, 2013, save up to 55% on select Studio Ghibli favorites
Uh what? So confused.
Anyway, some great prices to be found Ponyo is lowest ever and so is Castle In The Sky. Too lazy to check others.
Tachiyomi is a Open Source Manga Reader App for Android that can be downloaded and sideloaded here (Tachiyomi.org). I have not tried this but in it’s reading local manga section it can read CBR,CBZ, & eBUB (which are RAR and Zip files that has their extension renamed). He said that CBZ & Zip are suspected be have better performance
Yeah, free shipping only applies for ground shipping in the U.S. on non-preorders. This page probably would have been better to link as it has the terms at the bottom.
Just in case no one comes through with a better deal for you: despite talk of Lain going OOP, it's still in stock on Amazon at the moment.
Other services have deals as well. Amazon generally tends to have the same deals as iTunes, and you can ask to price match. The following is Azur Lane which is also temporarily $4.99.
https://www.amazon.com/MELEE-Pulsing-Waves-Steel-Wings/dp/B07ZKMDFCZ
Get the Umbrella AU release. It is listed as Region B but is actually region-free.
https://www.amazon.com/Cowboy-Bebop-Melissa-Nicholas-Billingslea/dp/B01M586WGP/
They have 2 copies of it on a 3rd party seller for about $80---not sure how much it was going for but yeah I know how you feel---its hard to tell when things will go oop: Amazon.com: Domestic Girlfriend [Blu-ray]: Ihata, Shota: Movies & TV its possible it may come back though a rare chance---Covid has caused some issues as well with print runs so it may be they can't manufacture more copies though doubtful. Its also possible they have more copies that got misplaced in the warehouse.
Looks like you linked the manga box set of Nausicaa instead of the art book. Art book link is here.
Thanks for the tip. Might grab one myself.
This is the lowest price ever on this art book by $4 and is $15 cheaper than retail.
Another Hayao Miyazaki art book, The Art of Princess Mononoke is also its lowest price ever and about $4 less than where it trends.
The Art of Spirited Away and The Art of Howl's Moving Castle are not on sale right now and could be $7 cheaper next time it goes on sale.
Actually within a few cents. Still very low.
Another Hayao Miyazaki art book, The Art of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is the lowest price ever on this art book by $4 and is $15 cheaper than retail.
The Art of Spirited Away and The Art of Howl's Moving Castle are not on sale right now and could be $7 cheaper next time it goes on sale.
For what its worth you can also save up Amazon Gift Cards and get a Region Free Bluray Player cheaply---they really do pay for themselves. I got this one for about $30 using Amazon Gift Cards---only have one region-locked Bluray though but have several region 2 DVDs so it helps not having to haul down my Region Free DVD Player to watch em downstairs: Amazon.com: Sony BDP-S3700 Region Free Blu-ray Player, Multi Region Smart WiFi 110-240 Volts, 6FT HDMI Cable & Dynastar Plug Adapter Bundle Package: Electronics
Jojo Golden Wind isn't part of that sale but you can get it for pretty cheap right now too at like $42 with a clipped coupon taking off another $7 to bring it down to about $35
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089M1J13T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_t1_ACVWFbPRSB7Z4
Serial Experiments Lain is currently going for $35 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G0OM22O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_-WQOFbW0KMD12
And for $30 on Rightstuf https://www.rightstufanime.com/Serial-Experiments-Lain-DVD-Blu-ray-Complete-Collection-Hyb-Anime-Classics
Both listings are currently temporarily out of stock, but still able to be ordered & (later) fulfilled at those prices.
> Don't even see a page for it on Amazon.
I know it’s late, but it looks like Amazon price matched the FMA comics and Slime 9
Amazon price matched sailor moon C
The rest of those amazon doesn’t have right to sell those
In honor of Satoshi Kon's birthday today, you might also want to look into pairing Tokyo Godfathers and Millennium Actress with another BluRay (sadly Perfect Blue is not in this deal). They will turn out to be about $13 each.
Ah. No BD-ROM drive on my computer.
Looks like they're still about $60. (Amazon link, no referral.) Last I heard, computer Blu-ray drives can't even play Blu-ray movies, at least not for free, you have to pay for a decoder. Computer Blu-ray drives are just used to burn data discs at up to 25GB per, but due to the costs involved, flash drives are a better deal 100% of the time, considering only a Blu-ray drive can read the created disc. Read and write speeds are super slow. A 32GB flash drive is cheaper and reads and writes faster, and works on virtually all computers, and Android phones with an adapter.
Getting real technical here, but I think an Android phone could read data from a Blu-ray data disc if you had an external burner/reader that used USB and you have the adapter. You run into two problems: one, is the Blu-ray drive getting enough power? Maybe a splitter is needed. Two, does Android have the drivers? Before you say "probably not," consider that it does have mouse drivers and if you connect a mouse the same way, you get a pointer. Android uses the Linux kernel, which supports a lot of hardware.
Hope Christmas sale is better than this. Still waiting for space dandy and jojo's at a good price.
edit: Happened to check amazon after posting this, space dandy complete series is $35, which is the lowest its been https://www.amazon.com/Space-Dandy-Complete-Ian-Sinclair/dp/B073ZWDZWQ
I’ve never heard of the UK re-dubbing an anime in English when an American version already exists. They’re for sure the same dubs.
As for delivery, yea Amazon is the easiest as international shipping is not very expensive (like $3.99, albeit slow). You could either try to find them on the US Amazon (like here for example) or creating an Amazon UK account and buying directly there (like here).
If that Humble Bundle is like Kondansha's Fairy Tail Humble Bundle from a year or so ago, you will get each book in the following DRM-free file formats: CBZ, EPUB, and PDF.
Having never owned a Kindle, I don't know what they support, however this claims they natively support PDFs. Otherwise you may have to convert the books, or download a separate app to view them like Aldiko (if you can).
On regular Android I have access to Google's Play Books app which is my favorite for wide format support and ease-of-use.
Some other deals I'm seeing, but there's no pricing until the deal starts so I don't know how good these will be:
Dragon Ball Z: Movie Pack Collection Two (Movies 6-9) (Blu-ray) (Starts at 10:55am EST)
Steins;Gate: The Movie - Load Region of Deja Vu (Blu-ray/DVD Combo) (Starts at 10:35am EST)
Please make sure you submit URLs without a referral code embedded in them.
The links need to look like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XZZMY56/
Or like this: https://www.amazon.com/My-Teen-Romantic-Comedy-Blu-ray/dp/B00XZZMY56/
The Testament of Sister New Devil Vol. 1 price matched on Amazon.
Psyren 1 and Kiss Him, Not Me 1 both price-matched on Amazon.
Attack on Titan Before the Fall 1 price matched on amazon.
One-Punch Man 1 price matched on Amazon, if no one's bought it yet...
It looks like Amazon.com is price-matching (or similar) some of the items that RS is putting on sale. Like Vampire Hunter D on blu-ray. Might be useful if people can't get enough of an order together to qualify for free shipping (Canadians, I'm looking at you).
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Vol. 1 price matched on Amazon, as well as Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, link in above comments.
Magical Girl Apocalypse is actually going for $6.93 (47% Off) on Amazon right now.
Yamada-Kun and the Seven Witches $6.04 (45% Off)
Fairy Tail 49 price-matched on Amazon
also, the link doesn't lead to the usual bn monday page.
