The DNS for those websites is also routed through Cloudflare which is a global content delivery network. They are pretty good at putting pressure on web providers who abuse their platform. I’ve reported a few legit Pishing and Malware sites in the past and they shut them down within hours.
I’m gonna submit a few Abuse forms on their site in the hope of finding other angles. - https://www.cloudflare.com/abuse/form
Denmark, which is having a couple of hundred cases per day, has automated contact tracing and notification via their Coronapas app. The app notifies contacts and they have to go and get tested. The app is also a kind of passport that gives people access to high risk places, such as restaurants. If you're vaccinated or have been tested in the past 72 hours then you get access. This has helped increase vaccination and testing numbers. It seems like a clever carrot and stick approach.
Masks will help, but far too many people are still working in closed spaces together. And our mobility is still up on last lockdown - we got down to 10% last lockdown and we're hovering around 14% this time. Car traffic is higher too. https://citymapper.com/cmi/melbourne
Thoughts with you and your family, I hope you guys get to reunite soon! In the meantime, my suggestion from various lockdowns over the last 18 months:
And the rate of closed cases on worldometers (as in resulted in an outcome... recovered or dead) is actually 2.34%, 194 million total, 189.5 recovered, 4.5 million dead. Thats just under 600,000 Aussies dead. Yes, if someone is young and healthy they have a higher rate of survival... but that means other people have a higher than 2.34% chance of dying if they catch it, that's how averages work, and they don't deserve to die just because they are old old or sick.
And yes, vaccinations will reduce that rate, but we are not at a level yet that everyone can be protected. Once everyone has had a chance to get vaccinated, and for the vaccinations to take effect, then very real discussions can be had about lockdowns ending for good and restrictions to roll right back.
And just a reminder that if we were to get rid of lockdowns, what is happening in Dallas could happen here. With Sydney battling their outbreak (and even more if they got rid of lockdowns), where would we fly people for treatment if they get into a car accident, if they suffer a stroke, anything else that thry may need an ICU bed for?
It already required bluetooth which can be used for location tracking on most phones, if this is a deal breaker you'd already have it off. Install a bluetooth scanner to discover the sort of information you're leaking: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pzolee.bluetoothscanner&hl=en_AU
There's also this website:
https://citymapper.com/cmi/sydney
https://citymapper.com/cmi/melbourne
It says that Sydney has been at about 10% mobility for the last four weeks, and around 12% mobility in the three weeks before that.
Not quite as good as Melbourne who got down to 7% and 8% at the height of their outbreaks, but still pretty good and far better than most people seem to realize.
I use this extension to get past the paywalls, works on both desktop and any mobile browser that supports extensions (e.g. Kiwi Browser). Works on all Australian news sites and most international ones too, and you don't have to do anything except just have it installed and forget it exists.

Did you...even read what I wrote?
This bill was rushed through in twenty-four hours.
That is added to the ever increasing list of 'emergency powers' acts that have been pushed through, including the defence amendments that should have most people utterly horrified.
Here's an easy one for you.
The new defence ammendements allow for the use of foreign militaries and police to act on Australian soil in 'emergencies' with freedom from prosecution.
T/F?
These things aren't being all that secretly passed. You're just not paying attention.
I was in the same boat as you, not able to get through due to an overwhelming amount of calls. Ended up finding out that it's best to just fill out a self reporting form and they contacted me within 24 hours, but this was a month ago so it may be a little longer now. once they contacted me and officially gave me isolation directions I was allowed to claim the $1500 payment. self reporting form
Because it wouldn't be considered a COVID restriction. The government loves data, it loves surveillance, the concept of a vaccine passport is a goldmine for them. This was posted on /r/australia yesterday https://tutanota.com/blog/posts/australia-surveillance-bill/ our government is not one that acts in our best interests when it comes to privacy. What did we learn in the past 20 years when we give away our rights in order to feel safe? They don't get returned to us.
There is no grand conspiracy here. Everything happening is happening right in front of our faces, it always has been. Does that not concern you? And no I don't believe in a grand cabal or whatever it is you believe those who oppose such a thing believe in.
There hasn't been masses of people going out though, not according to citymapper:
https://citymapper.com/cmi/sydney
But yes. Non essential shops should close but there MUST be income support for those who have to be going to work atm
Was that the same convo where people were saying to use NordVPN and then someone said they were using WireShark? (WireShark ain't for dopey anti-vaxxer couch potatoes).
Then the guy using it panics, saying "I've got an IP of 127.0.0.1.

Use the Google Messages app [play store] and enable Spam Protection.
The next time you get the message it should be auto flagged as spam, if not just flag it yourself. This also works against those bogus voice mail SMS that are going around recently.
The only other thing you might want to do is disable the notification/sound for Spam messages.
An Australian author named Shane Carrow has written a series of books about a zombie apocalypse in Australia. I am up to book 3. Was surreal reading this during the pandemic.

re: sweeping it under the rug: check this book. Yeah, it's unlikely - was just a random thought as I've been off and on reading that book and was reminded of it. Probably should have kept to myself :P

People like you are really sad. Here's something to start for you. If you understand it, that is.
Go on Senator Gerard Rennick’s Facebook page. He posts really go info on there all the time. You should checkout the study just done that found cancers significantly increased in size after vaccination!!
TGA has 130,000+ adverse reactions down to date. although this number is underreported. https://www.tga.gov.au/news/covid-19-vaccine-safety-reports/covid-19-vaccine-safety-report-23-09-2022
Also, the best selling book on vaccination on Amazon is currently this https://www.amazon.com/Covid-Vaccine-Adverse-Reaction-Survival/dp/1838072748?fbclid=IwAR2jSAxSMpMUQ2Ra0-ej7QKRJUZciSwfm7wZzQnYqjn19QbxaKkjZUvuobw
Can’t find it right now but mine looks a bit like this.
I would just get whatever is cheap tbh. My family has a more expensive one and the only difference seems to be that my one has shittier plastic. The readings seem to be accurate, heart rate goes up and down and oxygen level varies as expected. I used both when I had COVID and it seemed to be pretty consistent.
And the journalist who wrote the article, is also the author of: See Something, Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government's Submission to Jihad.
Meryl Nass is also chummy with Robert F Kennedy Jr, and the Children's Health Defense. She started pushing antivax comments pre-COVID and has articles like 'is Covid-19 the next 9/11'.
Buy a n99 mask, they are expensive but accumulate to about the same price as n95. They are about 60aud or 45 on amazon. They last for about 320 hrs so 2 months for a full time job +/-

Considering how medical science has seen women in the past (or rather, not seen them and pretended they don't exist for clinical trials etc) the fact that they missed side effects for people with periods during testing isn't all that crazy.

Your view and not one supported by NewsGuard or most with an objective lens. But hey, what would an independent "misinformation" and news quality service know that you don't?
>Australian wing of the Spectator, which swings much further to the right than the UK main magazine.
All owned and run by the same HQ under the same editorial standards, everything flows through the UK, even my subscription.
Here's the NewsGuard criteria if you like , they rate the same as The Guardian interestingly (except The Guardian makes a consistent operating loss of $10m - $70m per annum and is probably on borrowed time).

Seems we are in agreement then.
Not a lot left because it’s all shaped into hats.

Keep ignoring all the horrible shit mate and blame labor for everything even though they have only been in power 6 years since the late 90’s.
You never cared about the hundreds of people who die in Australia each day before covid. You've been conditioned to fear something above all else that isn't all that scary.
If you download Processing and DM me, I can send you a free pdf textbook and some sample programs. Processing is a nice way to learn some basics and it's not long until you can see some fancy graphics.
Keep up the good vibes mate, you're not mad thinking this is a tough time, you're not alone.
Anyone want to participate in a documentary?
I'm a documentary filmmaker creating a feature length film composed entirely of community video submissions submitted daily as the COVID-19 pandemic progresses. We are looking for people (anyone!) to submit daily or at least frequent short videos documenting and discussing their lives during this pandemic. Everyone is in this together but experiencing so many different things, so we want to use the power of cell phones and the internet to create a global picture of how humans are fighting and coping with COVID-19.
More about the film via our sign-up page: https://airtable.com/shrMT5PyLJ8QpDFJR
PLEASE feel free to ask questions, I want to be transparent. I may not be prompt, but I will answer any questions I can. We have applications in with the International Documentary Association for fiscal sponsorship, and have a pending application for a National Geographic COVID-19 journalism grant.
My heart goes out to everyone fighting this; we're in this together.
> the literal playbook he has been using in this thread
Is this "literal" playbook available on Amazon? Is this the book that you're talking about?
Or did you not mean a literal book at all and your comment was just the paranoid ramblings of a self confessed, irrationally angry man child?
Im not sure about neck, but I got these and they hold it your head. I've loved them so far

p.s. Sorry for the non-youtube link. It was all I could find of that clip.
I look forward to seeing you on television being escorted away by the police or military.
Also, I would suggest checking this to ensure the streets you’re walking down aren’t being exposed to 5g
This appears to be the case. Idk what to tell you, it's not hard to make an account. If you're against doing that I understand, I deleted my account for years. You don't have to hand over all your data. I have Firefox with a Facebook Container plugin: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/facebook-container/
That's because I have to enable Facebook scripts in noscript to use the site, so this is a good compromise.
Anyone want to participate in a documentary? About 50 people so far, and we're looking for more!

So far we've had a lot of positive feedback about the process and many have found it therapeutic in these times.

Being hit by a car confers no innate bodily response to avoid being hit by a a car in the future.
Not even close to an analogy.
Previous SARS-COV-2 infection DOES confer an innate response to infection in the future. There is uncertainty of the degree in the protection on a case by case basis that must be measured.
From a Public health administration perspective it is simply easier to administer a once size fits all vaccine than quantifying blood antibody levels. That is the only reason they are mandating it. A great book that covers the "blindness" of public administration is Seeing Like a State by james Scott.
I swear some of the people in this sub must have locked themselves indoors for the entire pandemic and have yet to actually try one of the blue medical masks >_<
/u/rolling_sloths I went through a couple of different types of masks that were all objectively terrible, but finally settled on this one that is not half bad (however, I don't have a big nose so that was not a consideration for me). It's no N95, but aside from some tickling from the filter it is wearable: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B082KY311P
It's absurdly expensive for what it is, but if you have the cash these are better than pills IMHO as you are stimulating your own body to produce the Vit D;

Ughhhh this is going to be fun. 😢 We have been told to wear short sleeves so I am wearing my very appropriate Doom is Near kitten tee shirt and am going to double mask with a disposable and cloth. Might take a long umbrella to poke at the unwashed who come too close.

A few years from now it'll be hard to find anyone who supported the lockdowns or The Premier.
Me and my partner just had our first born 3 months ago, in the slight gap between the lockdowns. It's been tough as we have practically been inside since March. At first I was terrified to the world I was bringing my son into, what a terrible time but after living through it abit it has been a blessing in disguise.
Both our place of business is shut down so financially tough but I have got to be home for my sons, first sounds, first smiles, and all the milestones you don't get to enjoy as life usually gets in the way.
Now more than ever I appreciate the effort to keep love ones safe and the world being in complete shambles motivates me to raise a child who will challenged things and build a better more sustainable future. The leader that the world of tomorrow needs.
Children change your life but its important to not lose you own mental and physical well-being in the process. If important to try and remain active as best you can as these seems to be a big part of you life, there is plenty of exercises you can do at home with minimal equipment, but your right specific strength does get hard. Don't lose hope. It's more important than every to maintain that grind, eat healthy, exercise, sleep, repeat as best you can. Fathers are cool but as a mothers your really the most important person it you childs life and soon have your own little workout partner to share the fitness journey with.
Definitely a challenging time but the reward is soo soo worth it.
My partner recommended the babycentre app if you have any questions or concerns or just want to start a discussion with other mothers https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.babycenter.pregnancytracker&hl=en
You can use the Vic Emergency app to set a watch zone with a 5km radius around you home.
I already had this set up but didn't think if using it until I saw another Redditor suggest it
Google Play store says only a million+ downloads. Since the iPhone version doesn't work this means the government is inflating the number about four or 5 fold.
me too plus shortness of breath. Something that has been helpful is having a thermometer on hand to check my temp for peace of mind as well as a Pulse Oximeter to keep track of vitals at home. During episodes of shortness of breath it's peace of mind to be able to monitor how much oxygen is getting into your bloodstream. As long as it stays above 90 you're fine. If it dips below 90 seek medical attention. You can buy a pulse oximeter for cheap on Amazon and have it delivered. Highly recommend.
