That's bullshit. Out coverage map looks much the same. Large areas of no coverage where there are no people.
Australia:
Canada:
Base on nPerf, this are the places with SingTel 5G Connectivity. So far driving around SG I do get 5G around CBD area (on GOMO though)
But then again even with 4G/5G connectivity, I don’t know why my GOMO/SingTel line has issue with loading contents. I can have a full bar 4G but not be able to login to POSB without being timed out.
In my country, last year they started implementing 2G as a result of customer complaints, because 3G is too high-frequency to penetrate the communist reinforced walls.
So, you lose signal for 4G and all you'll have is 4G. That means your signal will become intermittent.
Try to choose a provider with better coverage in your area: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/US/-/-/signal/
It's a disgrace to not have a good working SIM in Netherlands. There was enough time and even Andries lives there and could have fixed it for him.
There is no excuse we had such a low-quality stream. Streamer like Sebbity who streams in South Korea (midland), Jordan and now has a good quality stream in Romania in less than 1 day.
And there is enough sim coverage in the centrum of Amsterdam (https://www.nperf.com/en/map/NL/2759794.Amsterdam/10391.KPN-Mobile/signal/), but there just hasn't been any research what were the best options for the Teradek/S8.
Provided by nperf.com, you can have a look at the maps yourself. There should be no issue with the amount of coverage in LA, most is Red and Orange with T-Mobile (4G). Using "shit NA Internet" just isn't a good excuse. /u/Jacob_Cx and /u/Ice_Poseidon you should have a look at this.
Try running a scan from this site https://www.nperf.com/en/ it will give some more information. Usually if your being throttled the download will burst than it will slowly be decreased. What is your ISPs quoted Upload/Download speed for your plan ?
This is amazing...ly dumb.
5G activating a virus?
Last I checked virus don't need 'activation' (what is that even?), they spread just fine by themselves. There were plenty virus and pandemics in the past ancient times when there was NO RF radiation... like. f.ex. smallpox
Likesomeone else pointed out there is no 5G in Spain (not entirely accurate though, there is *some* 5G: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/ES/-/168912.Vodafone-Movil/signal/?ll=36.37706783983682&lg=-4.004516601562501&zoom=9 ).

1) Explain why Spain is the second highest affected country when there is so little 5G coverage?

2) Explain what is virus 'activation', why did e.g. smallpox etc. not require 'activation'?
Most big Bulgarian telecom companies, like Vivacom, A1, and Telenor, have started building 5G towers. The most impressive network right now is Vivacom which you can see here.
Unless the people responding are presently using multiple carriers, they won’t know anything other than there current provider’s experience.
Check the network coverage maps for our area
Look at their coverage
It doesn't even cover all of their cities ...
I half expected it be to pretty good because we know we're getting jacked on prices here but Verizon is the only wireless network anywhere in the world that deserves the title "Functional". The rest are all such utter shit.
That's the part the Europeans just don't get. Their quality-of-service is always so God-fucking-awful.
Verizon has better coverage in Alaska than all three providers combined in Finland do for their county.
You get service in the US on top of mountains ... ELISA doesn't even cover parks in the city.
You couldn't pay me 16€/mn to use that garbage.
Many people use Hetzner servers as their seedbox. Running a seedbox is fine as long as you use private trackers. If Hetzner gets a bunch of copyright notices because you use public trackers, they might not look too kindly on that (but that's true with most datacenters). On most of their auctioned servers, they have a 20TB bandwidth per month soft limit. After that limit, they throttle you down to 10Mbps. Despite their claims of unlimited bandwidth, I've heard that they really do not like people passing the 20TB limit. I'm not too knowledgeable about what they do if you pass it multiple times.
With Hetzner, the major end-user issue (at least for US customers) is peering. Your connection to their server might become quite slow during prime evening times due to congested peering between Hetzner and your ISP. In my case, the peering between Comcast/Hetzner has issues during 5PM-9PM PST on weekdays. I would go from my usual maxed out speed of 50Mbps down to about 15Mbps. I don't see this issue with OVH or Leaseweb. You can test out your connection to Hetzner and other servers using this site: https://www.nperf.com/en/
uite aici o harta
https://www.nperf.com/ro/map/5g
e acoperire in unele orase, dar doar in zonele centrale
If it gets really bad, you may want to switch to a carrier that has better signal in your kampung. You can refer to OpenSignal's analysis (2018), and nPerf (2017) in deciding which carriers cover your area.
If you want to check the coverage using OpenSignal (which I highly recommend), go to this link and Ctrl+F (Find) for Malaysia. I believe it should be self explanatory from there. Good luck!
You're right my friend, researched abit more and found this:
https://www.nperf.com/en/map/US/4140963.Washington-D-C/85.T-Mobile-inc-Sprint/signal/
Looks like T-Mobile has alot of DC covered. Pulling the post. Thank for forcing me to research further which is what I should have done prior to putting this up. I appreciate that you made me do my homework and gave me a moment to learn for next time.
Select the carrier and zoom in.
It's crowd sourced data from an app people have elected to put on their phone, measuring signal strength and type. It's not what the carrier claims. If it shows signal, then there's signal. If it shows no signal, then it could be either no signal or it could be that no user with that particular carrier has gone to that area.
5G is really good along the BTS MRT routes generally.
Take a look at https://www.nperf.com/en/map/TH/-/19345.AIS-Mobile/signal/?ll=10.585021646686442&lg=112.00561523437501&zoom=6 if you are looking for a specific area.
In my experience companies that use docomo's towers are the most reliable (could be different depending on region tho. You can play around with this coverage map to see for yourself). I have Sakura (which uses docomo), and the only problem with it is that it is overpriced for what you get, but it's honestly not that much more than plans I've had in the past in the USA. The high price is due to their completely English customer support. You can always get them to have that peace of mind to start with, and as you get more comfortable with navigating stuff over here, you can always switch to something cheaper too
Select different carriers from the drop down.
This is crowd sourced, user data. This is not from the carriers themselves.
Note: Just because a particular area doesn't show coverage, does not mean there isn't coverage. It could be that no user with that particular carrier has been there to supply the data.
AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon all have good valley wide coverage. I use Verizon and rarely have issues except when I'm in an underground dock area.
I am not in the area, but I've only had sporadic issues while being in the area. Here's a crowd sourced map of the coverage. Not all dead zones shown are actual dead zones. They may just be areas that the crowd sourcing has not filled in yet.
5G coverage in Luxembourg ranges from rubbish to non-existent: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/LU/2960316.Luxembourg/242.POST/signal/
You might need some local knowledge for that one. Try asking around here or on a different social media platform. Most people know what works best in their area. The different networks have maps, but asking around couldn’t hurt.
These websites might help:
https://www.nperf.com/en/map/EG/360630.Cairo/-/signal/
https://www.opensignal.com/reports/2020/03/egypt/mobile-network-experience

Africa has very little 5G coverage. https://www.nperf.com/en/map/5g
African population centers do have very good GSM/4G coverage though. Africa has some of the same challenges the US does, in terms of geography. Namely huge areas to cover, most of which are sparsely populated. Those areas don’t even get 2G in a lot of counties.
Have you tried any other "speed test" related service? Like https://www.nperf.com/en/. I know some services either don't support the speed or the servers hosting the speed testing portion are loaded down with other users doing the same thing you are doing. Next would be to look into the Edge device.
Due to the limitations of the technology 5G might not be that much faster than 4G, since best speeds are only achieved within LoS of an antenna, that's a bit difficult in a build up area and the rang is quite short to begin with.
Go to https://www.nperf.com/en/map/US/-/-/signal/
You can select by carrier and it will give you a map of the approximate 3g/4g/5g coverage in those areas!
I use it all of the time when traveling!
Is your network card Gigabit compatible?
Edit:
-Press the Windows key + R, type in ncpa.cpl and press enter
-Right click on the adapter that you are using and click on properties
-Click on Configure (top right)
-Goto the Advanced tab and scroll down to Speed & Duplex
-Set it to 1.0 Gbps Full duplex if you have it
Also, I'd recommend https://www.nperf.com/en/ for Speedtests ;)
I hope this helps :)
Yes, not in most of the country, but pretty much in every major city. See for yourself: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/IT/-/169042.Vodafone-Mobile/signal/?ll=45.43700828867389&lg=9.087066650390627&zoom=10
Im driving to Morocco (Rabat) from Spain, Ill be traveling alone, I want to know:
I have an iPhone 6 currently on Mint, which is very similar hardware to the SE.
Tethering works.
Wifi calling is not supported on any iOS device currently. Neither is visual voicemail.
I would not expect much impact from loss of 2G; if you want to check, look at a coverage map and look for 2G only areas on T-Mobile (the network Mint uses).
The 3 networks seem to be great, the differences are minor. The only aspect you should keep in mind when making the choice is the plan, the 3 networks offer different plans, take a look at their websites to know the details and decide. The thing is that the 3 networks are always in the same range, sometimes they even have the exact same problems, what always matters to me is the customer service and how their system works, Orange and Vodafone will be fine. Just look for a good valuable plan & you won't regret it. If you want a detailed map for the coverage, go to https://www.nperf.com/en/map/EG/-/-/signal/
Can't find a map that shows coverage of all carriers in a single map, but you can check them individually here. But basically, no it's not much better. I chose only Verizon because they're the single carrier with the best overall coverage
I suppose a few bits of information that might help generate a response:
With regards to internet speeds, it's worth running a thorough speed test both while connected and disconnected from your VPN service: https://www.nperf.com/en/
Remember to do all your tests via Ethernet, rule out wireless all together.
Good luck!
This is the site I had my 3 kimsufis in(a ks-2, a ks-3 and a ks-4).
Ultimately it was the 100mbit link and the f-ing lack of support that finally did it for me. They are insanely slow to assist if needed..think days or weeks. They got back to me on a payment issue 2 weeks after I put in the ticket and then with some answer that wasnt helpful at all. Online.net has been way way better with the support.
nperf will give you a pretty good idea on your speeds/routes from the major data centers around the world. https://www.nperf.com/en/
> Unfortunately almost none of Earth
https://www.nperf.com/en/map/5g
that looks like a lot of the earth too me, especially considering it's what, been on the market for like 5 years? Sat internet has been a thing since the 90s and for reasons you think this is finally the YEAR when it's going to beat it's competition.
Santander are very foreigner friendly. I wouldnt necessarily mention you are only here for 6 months.
Voda is shit in Brighton. Most mobile networks are tbf but you chose the worse !
This will give you an independent view about coverage in your area.
Brighton had the worst mobile coverage in the UK because the place is full of nut jobs who are organised enough to make the network's getting planning for masts impossible.
We also have Allegiant Stadium, that doesn't mean that their service at LAS is going to be any better than at any other airport.
T-Mobile and Sprint are the same network. Verizon usually has the better coverage, but costs more.
It could also be your particular phone. Search the model and connection issues, see if anything pops up.
Ok, 2 points here.
So then why is India at 45% internet pen? Because a lot of people still find this low price for 4G too costly. If this was the case (50GB for a month at $3 or so at 25-50mbps being too costly), where exactly does Starlink (100$) fit in?
India doesn't need Starlink.
5G coverage is spotty at best anyway: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/5g
Luxembourg's 5G network operates under the 700 MHz and 3.6Ghz frequency bands which are both supported by the Pixel 5 and 6/6 Pro. Device certification still depends on the individual luxembourgish carriers and as they've managed to certify two initial manufacturers for VoLTE and haven't added any to the list since, I wouldn't hold my breath.
5G should work. It's just basically not available anywhere. Here's a map that tells you where, more or less, 5g is available: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/LU/2960316.Luxembourg/242.POST/signal/?ll=49.59759661811554&lg=6.134748458862306&zoom=16
I have a pixel 6 but haven't really been paying attention to whether I ever catch 5g.. I'll be around Gare tomorrow so I'll see if I remember and drop a comment ;)
I have t mobile and it’s pretty reliable and fast - have had it for about 5 years. And way cheaper than Verizon.
Will also depend on where you live. You can also use a site like this to look at coverage and speed where you spend a lot of time.
when u are looking for something like that in chile its better recommended to take a look for offers also try asking ppl from where you are going to live or already living or if you know nobody try using this https://www.nperf.com/es/map/CL/3871336.Santiago/-/signal/ to see (this for reference opened in Santiago) so you can look by carrier and type of signal
While you quite a number of providers, they all use one of three networks:
Telekom is usually the one with the best coverage but you also pay the most for it, while O2 has the worst coverage but often is pretty cheap.
In the end if you have no problems with ALDI talk I don't really see an issue with just keeping it or at least haggle the Telekom guy for a better offer.
Why Zain?
https://www.nperf.com/en/map/KW/285787.Kuwait-City/-/signal/
I checked out this very useful Map to compare Zain/STC/Oreedo for where I Live and Oreedo is the only one that has a strong 5G signal for my area.
And In General, It seems that Oreedo has alot more 5G Coverage around Kuwait than Zain or STC but there are some exceptions for specific areas.
4G cellular has large latencies, and is probably not ideal for streaming fast paced games. You'll need to wait for 5G to be deployed in your area, and choose a provider that supports it. Either way, cable/fiber will be much better if it's available, and I think it's unlikely you'll have 5G in your area but no cable.
You can see on this website 5G coverage per company
Or you can use this website to find exact locations of antennas, which companies operate them and whether they support 5G
Wouldnt it be easier to purchase pay as you go sims when you land in Japan or Europe ? I'm here in the UK I know my network provider offers 20gb and some text and call mins! if I ever wanna travel to Europe but if I fly out to Asia I pick up a sim pay as you go as they offer way cheaper deals than using my UK sim! it might be worth talking to USA provider as most network providers offer deals abroad here's japan mobile coverage! and here's Europe!
Here you go, compare to all other couriers, literally last and no reason to support such a shitty business. I swear they are just for money laundering…

They haven't.
A few places made a lot of noise back in 2019-2020 about pausing the rollout of 5G networks due to the "precautionary principle", which was mainly fuelled by long-time anti-wireless lobbying groups such as the Environmental Health Trust.
Since then, many of these places, such as Brussels in Belgium, have relaxed their stances and gone ahead with it anyway.
However today, most places are running it just fine without birds falling out of the sky or people dropping dead in the street.
See current 5G network coverage maps here:
https://www.nperf.com/en/map/5g
https://www.statista.com/chart/23194/5g-networks-deployment-world-map/
Select a carrier and zoom in on Vegas.
This is crowd sourced data, not cell carrier provided data. The map shows known coverage areas. The blank spots may have coverage by a particular carrier, but not reported by users due to them not visiting the area.
Are you seriously comparing Brazil to Belgium based on Internet connection. Also it makes more sense to try and develop mobile more due to the sheer size of Brazil. Good luck providing cable.
BTW, you forgot to mention 5g is just for a small part of Brazil: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/5g
You conveniently leave out the rest of the country has abysmal coverage While belgium has almost complete coverage.
oh and 1 euro equals 6.2 Brazilian real of course it's cheap in euro...
Most of Australia's land mass has no cell phone coverage according to this map:https://www.nperf.com/en/map/AU/-/355.Vodafone/signal/?ll=-35.07213865677091&lg=136.01&zoom=3
They've done an amazing job covering their coastal areas, but they'd be better served increasing their prices and developing the infrastructure to have the entire country regardless of location have access to cell phone services.
Instead of investing in rural telecommunication they've blown their housing out of proportion. Same stupid idea some people want to perpetuate in Canada.
Edit: I know the majority of their population has access, it still doesn't mean that investing money back into telecommunications is a bad idea.
You can compare 5g coverage between operators here:
It's patchy at best.
Any suggestions for pre-paid mobile plans please?
Vodafone is changing rates, and i dont use it much (mostly text mrs). If i put $20 on and it may last 2-4 months, so do not need a monthly thing which is what most seem to be trying to push.
One factor is coverage, so emergency use on holiday if one breaks down between cities say. This site seems to imply Spark is better?
https://www.nperf.com/en/map/NZ/-/-/signal/?ll=-41.984814677159854&lg=172.42&zoom=4
But doesnt list the companies that use other networks.
I've swapped to EE after moving to O2 from Orange when the iPhone first came out.
02 was a terrible choice for the rural side of Cheltenham.
EE has been much better.
Heard good things about Vodafone and nearly every time I am outta signal (outside the county) someone with vodafone has 5 bars haha.
Have you checked the coverage map
Are you saying your phone has no 2G/3G capabilities whatsover? Every modern ( newer than 3 years old) phone whose spec I have looked at has the ability to drop down to 2G/3G if there is no 4G/LTE coverage.
There are large portions of the UK without 4G/LTE coverage:
buenas buenas.
Like this? Looking at "bars" doesn't really do much. Use signalspy to see the dBm strength.
I hope it's ok to post this. I've been using the above app to map out the 5G coverage in my area (Central CT). All you do is activate the app and drive around and it sets data points on the map based on your current connection type (e.g. 3G, 4G, LTE+, 5G, etc). You can also just use it to view previously mapped coverage in your area.
MV uses the Orange network, so you can use this map to see the coverage: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/BE/-/201612.Orange-Mobile/signal/?ll=49.76849323743386&lg=1.310668978840113&zoom=7
Also laut dieser Netzabdeckungskarte: https://www.nperf.com/de/map/AT/2761369.Vienna/5380.T-Mobile/signal/?ll=48.16242149265213&lg=16.40670776367188&zoom=10
##4636## Go into Phone Information, then set the "preferred network type" to NR only.
Run the app where you had service, and contribute to the 5g map!
Congrats !

Tu as fait des speedtests en 5G ?

Tu as fait de (magnifiques) photos avec ? ;)
The high speed rail specifications that Algeria have proposed are totally satisfactory to us. Regarding payment plan, we can negotiate it to be divided up for a 19 year payment period ($1bn per year), but then we would like to ask for the ownership to be changed from 49% to 50% until 10 years of payment is completed, upon which the 1% extra will be returned to Algeria. We are willing to sign a contract to prevent any sort of modifications to the project without Algerian approval, if that is what Algeria is weary of. This is simply to ensure the money comes to China safely; we hope Algeria can understand this.
We are excited to assist Algeria in developing a 5G network within their country. To what scale does Algeria envision their 5G network to encompass (how many cities, which cities, etc), and what carrier does Algeria mainly want to start off with (current coverage of Algerian carriers for reference)?
Last I heard from my provider (Salt) is they’re still in testing=not fully working/deployed. They said they might share some towers between operators, but we’ll see. In the meantime I’ve just found this map and it seems it could be useful https://www.nperf.com/en/map/5g

So basically all these years they laughed and lied at us saying that this is not possible, that this is a "conspiracy theory", that "it's non-ionizing radiation", meanwhile taking their time and perfected the tech, and now they are plainly explaining that this tech is "way more ethical than classic weapons".
Do you remember all the "experts" saying "it's non-ionizing radiation bro, calm down with that conspiracy theory" ?
It's not about the "non-ionizing" radiation.
It's about the ability to control and read of the brain waves - our very perception of reality.
It’s out in select areas of Ireland. Mostly cities. I’m on Vodafone in Dublin and just outside of 5G range.
Which also has an app. According to this platform, there is absolutely no 5G in lux yet...
There are several websites that have real time cell coverage for each carrier on a map. This site clearly shows that Gilroy does not have any 5G coverage. I know, the AT&T site shows the entire Gilroy area as being covered. It's a complete lie. But, that said, 5G is known to be extremely limited across the US, and it'll be a while until 5G gets here. https://www.nperf.com/en/map/US/5352214.Gilroy/2420.ATT-Mobility/signal/
Although I'm interested in 5G, for me, there aren't many real-world scenarios in which i absolutely NEED 5G speeds. 99% of the time, I'm just checking email, social media, streaming video in HD. 4G handles all of that just fine (as long as I have a signal, of course, but that's another issue). So, 5G really would only be a benefit to me if I were tethered to my laptop and I needed to upload/download large files such as videos that I produce for work. Other than that, 5G speeds really won't be used by the majority of people. To me, it's not that big of a deal, but a "nice to have."
>5G rollout
It's sparse in NZ unless you're in the bigger cities which are mostly covered. Here are locations users confirmed to have it (i.e. this is the minimum coverage currently): https://www.nperf.com/en/map/5g
But those areas with will be today 50x faster than LTE
It would almost be flippant of me to call it a paper launch.
Here you go. YMMV.
I had a chat with Three Broadband because the 5g signal was below 50%, and they told me where the closest mast was. But then I found this map https://www.nperf.com/en/map/GB/2643741.City-of-London/-/signal/ and that's quite accurate.
There are no new mast in my area so maybe packages from Three Broadband had a different priority. They did tell me that I would notice an improvement a few days after the contract switched to Three.
As others will say, check with your AirBnB host, but Spain's infrastructure is fine and runs fiber in cities and regular ADSL outside.
However, if you're within the EU, your local phone provider will allow you to roam data in Spain. 4G is well supported throughout the country. If you can tether, you have a backup (or primary) connectivity option.
On 4G I'm seeing 55Mbps down, 14Mpbs up, which is more than enough for video. I'm tethering constantly.
This depends where you'll stay, of coures. Check NPerf for coverage.

OK, well, it is supposed to be possible, and that's pretty damn impressive.
However it may make this seem less impressive. I should add that I get great cable internet speeds and that I'm close to the city centre in the direction of Walkley with direct line of sight to a couple of mobile masts.. Looking at the mapping (for Vodaphone anyway..) it looks like it may be possible around the uni, but I really haven't seen speeds anywhere near that on the ground when working or generally (but I mostly don't check..).
Coverage map for 5g Vodafone isn't great: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/GB/-/164526.Vodafone-Mobile/signal/?ll=53.57946149373232&lg=-2.8454589843750004&zoom=6 so you might still just be using 4g+
Russian cellular coverage is a sparse web across major cities and highways, and nowhere else
Annual median household income in Russia is $6.5K USD/yr vs. $76K USD in Alberta. In other words, companies have to pay their employees a lot more over here.
Canadian telco services should cost less, but making a comparison with Russia is off the mark.
I look forward to seeing you on television being escorted away by the police or military.
Also, I would suggest checking this to ensure the streets you’re walking down aren’t being exposed to 5g
"Fraktur" Schrift, gesicherte YT Quelle, 20 Millionen hyperbole, 5G Quark, Aluregenschirme, angebliche weitreichende Schwurblerverteidigung.
Tri has the best coverage in Jakarta and mostly good in a few other major cities in Indo (namely Bandung, Semarang and Surabaya). Anywhere else and it gets somewhat sporadic and limited in some areas.
Would it have good enough coverage in Feudenheim near Mannheim? I checked coverage but the street flat is located at is not covered by either 4G or 5G it seems: https://www.nperf.com/en/map/DE/-/169022.Vodafone-Mobile/signal/?ll=49.48262442823028&lg=8.534746170043947&zoom=14
