definitely not a 'reduced price'. This is what other rooms are going for - ie exactly the same or less than that. If they were to actually pay a cleaner it would cost them minimum £10 per hour, more like £12-15.... which at 4 hours per week is at least an extra £200 per month. They are basically trying to charge their lodger the same price as what you could get a whole private studio or one bed flat for, except you have to live in their attic and be their servant.
Peak time trains in to London don't allow non-folding bikes. So-called fully-folding bikes are allowed on all UK trains at all times. (Info)
Although personally-owned e scooters are still not technically legal in the UK, they're now widely sold and enforcement is apparently virtually zero (unless you're involved in an accident, or do something flagrantly stupid and bad right in front of the police). An electric scooter would probably be much lighter and easier to put up in to train luggage racks than a folded bike and also be easier to stash under your desk at work.
Even without Prime you can get a Chinese-made flag for 90p + free delivery from Amazon: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Flag-5ft-3ft-European-Union/dp/B0044X2BXI (how the hell do they do that ?) - not sure it would arrive in time though.
Drugs! Plenty of them available ;)

Seriously though - have you looked on MeetUp.com at all? From my limited knowledge, there's a shit load of niche community groups etc to get involved with. I'm sure you can find something of interest on there that isn't based around drinking and big groups.
There's a communal bike shed that looks pretty secure just up from the Cod Father on the path that connects to Cobden Road here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/50.82988/-0.12577
Not sure what the details are about it though - my guess is there's a waiting list to get a key because it always looks pretty full.
The bar under MyHotel Merkaba has some beautfil top shelf whisky. However, the good ones are not cheap. You're looking at paying £12+ for a double in there.
Whisky can be found on pages 15+ on their menu: http://issuu.com/merkababrighton/docs/merkaba_menu_2013
Well worth visiting meetup.com and searching for some groups that share some of your interests - it's an easy way to find people, and being focussed on an 'interest' makes it easier to find common ground. If you like board games, come along to our meetup - Brighton Pub Boardgamers.
That's how I do it but I only have to go occasionally so it might be worth looking at season tickets. Having a quick glance at this https://www.thetrainline.com/season-tickets/brighton-to-london though it does look like that way is better value than a season ticket.
Wow, nightmare! First place I'd check for short term/holiday lets is probably gumtree - often has non-agency rentals. Also maybe Airbnb? Best of luck!
If you're on Facebook and you haven't joined the Redditors of Brighton group, I suggest you do that. You're much more likely to get a reply.
Unfortunately I have no interest in seeing Hanna, but good luck.

I actually love stumping across this post as when I first moved to Brighton I couldn't find aaaany masala chai tea bags! I ordered a pack of 4 from Amazon of the brand I like, tea India but have since seen them in Taj and the big Sainsbury's by Lewes road! Good luck on your chai adventures 💗
Maybe not what you are looking for, but we have this rice cooker and most of my family have now bought the same. It is the best since our one from Thailand broke.

Santander are very foreigner friendly. I wouldnt necessarily mention you are only here for 6 months.
Voda is shit in Brighton. Most mobile networks are tbf but you chose the worse !
This will give you an independent view about coverage in your area.
Brighton had the worst mobile coverage in the UK because the place is full of nut jobs who are organised enough to make the network's getting planning for masts impossible.
The hand writing is pretty rough. They should pop these on their amazon wish list and we can all club together
Experiments, using osm data, downloads.
What is an OSM file? XML file created in the OpenStreetMap (OSM) format, which is used for saving street map information; saves data in the form of "nodes" (points), "ways" (connections), and "relations" (street and object properties, such as tags).
Can I suggest reading Facing Violence? It's an excellent book by a guy who has worked with actual violent criminals.
It was one of the books that moved me away from both the kung-fu fantasies of self-defence, AND the more realistic Krav Maga/MMA type approaches. When viewed *purely from the POV of self defence* it felt like too much effort, relative to the amount any training would actually improve my odds.
I focus a lot more now on how to avoid situations in the first place, and how to recognize the psychology of any violent situation I might find myself in – all of which he talks about in the book.
Plus he addresses the often unanswered questions in martial arts: say you do use that arm bar you learned, and you break that guy's arm, well – you may have just trained yourself in how best to send yourself to prison.
Ok impromptu book recommendations over. Hope you find a cool gym; I have some good friends who do BJJ and they love it.
Here you go, these folk deliver. https://www.gumtree.com/p/plants-flowers/compost-delivered-to-your-door-%C2%A36-for-25-liters/1371903575
Have you found anything?
Hell Beings (Brighton) have been doing the rounds locally for a few years. We have had best song and best rock album of the year accolades in Plugged in Brighton. Been played here on 6Music as well as being championed in America by the legend Mike Watt (The Stooges, The Minutemen).
We hope to find a fast learner, have a happy face (sic) and available to practice weekly in Portslade, a lift from Brighton is presently available.
The songs are unsophisticated and average a minute and a half. More radio is a priority and songs are flying out fast.

Sorry to hear you're feeling down, I know how it is to be alone around your birthday. Brighton can be an intimidating place to meet people, but I've found the best way is to just do things you want to do on your own, and you'll eventually meet like minded people and form friendships. If you like gigs, check out the DICE app and see whats on, maybe have a chat with someone else who's there on their lonesome if you feel like it, or just enjoy the gig if not. If you like hiking check out some hiking groups on meetup.com or just go on your own and enjoy the beautiful countryside.
The first step is just getting out and doing something you enjoy, it'll all fall into place slowly after that. Also this video is quite an interesting look at the epidemic problem of lonliness if you're interested.
Hiya,
Brighton is so notorious for mouldy homes, especially if you've got single glazed windows - a dehumidifier does help to reduce the moisture in the air but are a little expensive - I buy hanging damp collectors for my clothes rail and that and there's also these other ones you can buy that are on Amazon and work really well.
UniBond AERO 360º Moisture Absorber, Ultra-Absorbent Dehumidifier, Helps to Prevent Condensation, Mould & Musty Smells, Recyclable, Refillable Condensation Absorber, 1 Device incl. 1 Refill Tab 450g https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08JMFHLRB/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_WR9ETQYPFCBTX0JWRAB2
To get rid of the actual mould, I bought a really good spray from ransoms on London road which dissolves most of the mould right away then you just gotta scrub ! Those magic eraser sponges are really good at removing things from walls however they only last one go and always get ruined easily, they will also run paint off if you go too hard !
Good luck ! X
Exterior wall? How big, what colour paint? Can you wash it down with dilute bleach and let it dry then slap some of this on it?
I mean yeah, in an ideal world the landlord would solve the problem. HA.
Have you tried Gumtree?
https://www.gumtree.com/flatshare/brighton/house+share
I found myself in a similar situation in Leeds once and moving in with students was the fastest availability rooms and cheap too.
I know I am late, but I love that building, it really suits and the copper looks stunning! I walk past it everyday, I took this not long ago and I just think it looks great!
Freecycle!
I "got rid" (gave away) SO much stuff when we renovated our house. OK, your rubbish might be a step to far, but people came to pick up all sorts of things from our house... an old slab of stone, an offcut of old carpet, a fake fireplace, 2 beds... The best thing is, people will come to pick it up for you!
We usually got responses within hours on all of our posts, so stick stuff up today and youll be rid of most of it by the weekend
Attend one of the network meeting group in the morning and ask for a builders who are a member of the group. You could find those groups in meetup.com. People who are member of those groups tend to be good builders.
May I recommend you get him a copy of this?
It is not one of those awful 'dating tricks' books that treats women so badly, it's the express opposite of that and as someone on the spectrum, I found it hugely useful.
Do you think there's a chance this tool would extract the snapped bolt? https://www.amazon.co.uk/extractor-gripping-extracting-ENGINEER-neji-saurus/dp/B002L6HJAA
That's actually a really good chain!
These are the secure wheel bolts I was talking about:https://www.amazon.co.uk/ETC-Front-Skewer-Triple-Locking/dp/B001DTFSWW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=secure+mtb+bolts&qid=1603735415&sr=8-1
That's if you have quick releases on your bike.
>Kryptonite New York Fahgettaboutit D lock
hahah these locks are gonna add up to like £150. more than i paid for the bike but i mean, if it's a long term investment, it'll pay over time. I was thinking of getting that D lock and this chain?
Thoughts?
I generally prefer Asus, always have done... I'd make sure to get one with AIMesh, because then you'll be able to buy any other asus router with AIMesh and create your own mesh network...
The problem with Asus is that their product range is bafflingly huge... so check the features you want and make sure it covers that.
Something like this would have you covered for AIMesh and a decent wifi coverage if you didn't need to put the mesh side of things in.
I suggest the essentials kit for a new player - it gets you into it without the complexity of the full AD&D rule brooks https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dungeons-Dragons-WTCC70080000-Essentials-Kit/dp/0786966831/
It depends on the specific model you have. If it's the most common type (Xiaomi M365), then this one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07WKDN22C/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_Czk6Eb2DJ4TRA
If you have a different model, just hop onto to Amazon and search your make and model + "solid tyres". Each make model may have different sizes and fittings so make sure you buy the right ones.
As always just make sure to avoid the sponsored ads as they are the same items as the non sponsored ones but usually just more expensive.
I live Berlin (from Brighton though) and these are the ones that most people would replace their original tyres with.
I have a NEW De'Longhi DEM10 to sell for £90.
Bought two from Amazon and only need one.
PM Me if interested, they work very well :)
