Do you mean in real life or online? If there were an Ulpan type class near you, I would say try that. But there are also plenty of online resources like https://www.duolingo.com/course/he/en/Learn-Hebrew-Online and https://www.loecsen.com/en/learn-hebrew
Call your landlord and explain the situation, and ask him for a solution first, maybe he has something for you. Like an extra key at a relative's house.
If not, tell your landlord you need a place to sleep and that you want to call a locksmith.
Sent you Yusef's number in private, he's a locksmith I trust. I believe it'll cost you around the same price, but this way you get to sleep in your own bed.
I saw a few small hotels/motels in Hadar and German Colony. Probably a bit more pricey than airb&b.
If you want to rent a room, I guess should check air b&b.
Edit: Have you tried turning it off and on and licking the doorknob first?
I'm a little confused by the article perhaps someone knows of another article on the incident that sheds more light. The article says that members of the team suffered food poisoning and then jumps to the conclusion that the food was deliberately poisoned. Wouldn't it be more likely that they were served improperly cooked or stored food and that is what caused the food poisoning?I've gotten food poisoning several times from different restaurants its just a thing that sometimes happens, and it is more likely to happen in a foreign country.
However the article also states that a few were hospitalized so that seems like something more than standard food poisoning, but since they were hospitalized and the coach expected poison wouldn't the hospital test for poison?

It's shit like this Pro-Palestinian activists. Surely there are real pictures that could have been used for this? No? It's always a lie though. It makes no sense.
Honestly, all it takes is a quick google search. Someone posted Wikipedia, here is another more reliable link:
http://www.britannica.com/topic/anti-Semitism
Islamophobia pertains to Muslims.
Christians are the dominant group in Western Europe, as such a Western European language would not be too concerned in classifying anti-christian prejudice, as there was little to none taking place. However, given that we live in a dynamic world and the English language is one which is ever-evolving, some have coined a new term, Christophobe to better encompass a reality in which there are groups who do actively dislike Christians.
Native Americans are a race: it's called racism.
If you're wondering why European society, and European language, would have a special focus on anti-Jewish sentiment, it is because violence against Jews has defined social interaction, religious realities, and political movements in Europe since the Roman Empire. You will notice that in a similar trend, increasing interaction with Muslims, and the increasing presence of Muslims and Islam in political and social discourse, has led to a sharp increase in the use of Islamophobia as a term. One day, when Europeans stand divided on the topic of Buddhists, there will be born an "anti-Buddhist" term too...if that day were to come.
We don't have a lower crime rate rate than Finland. [http://www.numbeo.com/crime/rankings_by_country.jsp]
And our murder rates are higher than both of them. [http://www.wikiwand.com/en/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate]
EDIT:
And important to note that this rates are only considering reported crimes. I believe in Israel many crimes are unreported, such as getting beaten up on line to a club or whatever is popular in the lower quality population this days. I have been robbed twice in my life in Israel, and after seeing how the police handled it the first time I didn't even bother complaining the second time. Call me a bad citizen, but it just doesn't worth the hassle.

This should worry Israelis not just Americans.
Per the article, he ended up self-publishing. The book is available on Amazon here. I'm about to grab a copy myself.
According to my math, that's almost a 40,000% return.
Total Israel military aid from the US military budget is less than half of one percent. Compared to the $3.1 billion yearly military aid to Israel, the US contributes more than $130 billion every year to the defense of Europe and more than $30 billion to the defense of Japan, Korea, and the Far East. Over 300,000 U.S. troops are stationed with NATO and over 30,000 U.S. troops in the Far East. In contrast, not one single U.S. soldier needs to be stationed and put at risk in Israel. U.S. military analysts estimate that the U.S. would have to spend the equivalent of $150 billion a year in the Middle East to maintain a force equivalent to Israel’s.
This guy has a lot more specifics.
Here is a recent unbiased report from US analyst perspective.

3 people are going to have a hard time finding a couchsurf. You are best off with Airbnb, but the budget for a low-cost option will be around 50 min per night (not the best location) and reasonably priced (not super-expensive) 100 per night (good location, decent accomodations).
Here's the general page for Tel-Aviv, entered for 2 guests, 2 nights, your dates.
Here's an example of a good option:

I think more and more people who like me are pro-israel are "coming out" in sweden, although they are mainly on the middle/right political spectrum, and I'm middle/left. I think perhaps the biggest reason not more of us are debating is because we swedes are afraid of conflict (a stereotype that sadly is true) and since the israel/palestine conflict is a debate that perhaps is the most heated one, that can offer an explanation as to why we don't debate it more.
Here is an example of a famous leftwing swedish guy arguing against israel while supporting leadership in iran.
Here's a machine translation of the summary of the MA thesis in question.

Objective enough for you?
Tell that to the medical community. They've spotted genetic characteristics found only in specific Jewish ethnic groups such as Ashkenazi Jews. There are some that affect only Sephardi Jews or just Mizrahi Jews, but they are less common.
Not sure if I buy it personally since I was taught all that when I was in High School in small town Texas where they segregated us along with the other minorities and I know for a fact that my friends that went to the whites only school got a different education where they did not learn all that so.. ..
And then here in Southern California they are specifically using the above medical information to attempt to get us to catalog ourselves in their gene registry (Scripps here in San Diego/North County has approached me several times for my DNA); probably nothing sinister about it but I'm not going to trust them with something that could potentially be used to identify and persecute any future off-spring I might have.
If it really -must- be recorded then Israel can hold onto my DNA for their medical research.
Ok. So this #231 bus isn't an Egged bus. It is operated by some Israeli or Palestinian company that I've never heard of before, which apparently has Israeli authorization to operate three bus lines between Jerusalem and Bethlehem area.
According to the internet, those buses in general are stopped at a checkpoint and all Palestinians are required to step outside of the bus for an ID check, while tourists need to present their passports. If this didn't happen in your case - it's possible that not every single bus is checked and some sampling is used instead. It is also possible that the protocol changes according to the security assessment at the time.
I'm not sure why some of your replies were downvoted :/ Sorry about that.

b) The Americans hated/disliked India. Here are two examples:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Task_Force_74 - the US coming close to war with India in 1971 because India dared to liberate Bangladesh, a country suffering from genocide at the hands of Pakistanis
https://edition.cnn.com/WORLD/asiapcf/9805/13/india.us/ - heavy sanctions from the US for India's "audacity" to want nuclear weapons for itself.
Hell, they fucking supplied Pakistan with F-16 jets on the cheap and then the Pakistanis bitch-slapped them by hosting Osama bin-Laden for years.
hi, i also from israel and i have spotify premium.
there are two method for getting premium:
a friend from the USA (must be in the USA) will buy for you spotify gift cards https://www.spotify.com/us/gift-card/ and you will redeem the code.
you can use service like this: http://www.maximuscards.com/index.php/itempage/detailitem?p=199431 you buy the gift card and they send you code via email.
i used both methods and they worked.
When you buy the official hat from his website youre technically making a campaign donation which is illegal (unless you are a US citizen) but you can buy a knockoff on amazon which I think is cheaper too
Giulo Terzi, Pierre Richard-Prosper, Richard Kemp and Rafael Bardaji are all members of Friends of Israel Initiative, Bardaji is currently the Executive director.
It's so weird they never disclose that.
There are many cool places in jerusalem.
You might want to volunteer somewhere, to meet new friends. Two recommended movements are כנפיים של קרמבו and the scouts (הצופים). They're both non-religious and non-political.
Other than that, when you have spare time, you can check out cool places to travel. After all, Jerusalem is very diverse. Here are some interesting places. You could go by yourself or with friends.
Do you go to Olpan? You could meet new olym from different countries (mostly the US though).
Do you have any hobbies? food? music? you can find plenty of nice things to do in order to improve them.
I'm not an expert, but I like to think I know a fair bit...I don't know of any IDF unit using such an emblem, neither would they be putting it on their vehicles even if they were, I couldn't find any police units with this, either.

Nazi
1930, noun and adjective, from Ger. Nazi, abbreviation of German pronunciation of Nationalsozialist (based on earlier Ger. sozi, popular abbreviaton of "socialist"), from Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei "National Socialist German Workers' Party," led by Hitler from 1920.
Dude, there is so much to unpack with your comment.
Why do Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaid represent the Democratic party? They are freshman congresspeople who hold no important positions in the House. Maybe you should focus on people who actually represent or represented Democrats nationally like Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer (Jewish), etc. Someone like Adam Schiff has a lot of power, and he's Jewish. It's weird that you would think that the Democratic party's two most representative members of Congress are two freshmen house members who have no congressional power.
Not sure where CAIR, BDS, or the Muslim Brotherhood really factor into this. Are there like a bunch of Democratic officeholders who are part of these organizations or get money from them? Nope. Do a large number of such officeholders support these organizations? Nope.
And it doesn't seem that there are many, if any at all, atheists in Congress, democrat or republican. Not sure why, according to you, atheism is the representative belief for the democratic party. I'm also not sure why that would be a bad thing; people are free to believe whatever they want in America.
American Jews are not brainwashed who vote for Democratic candidates. You should try spending some time understanding where your fellow Jews are coming from.
Not him (obviously), but you can find many of them available for free on Project Gutenberg, under the Classical Antiquity section of the bookshelf. Josephus is found under Judaism, if you want to read his works.
It's ok, lots of Arabs speak Hebrew like that, also some Mizrahim use some of those sounds and a small amount of Ashkenazim who want to "speak correctly" do as well, specifically with correctly pronouncing ח and ע. You will be perfectly understandable.

How about the Encyclopedia Britannica?

Here's the first paragraph:
> Ḥamās, acronym of Ḥarakat al-Muqāwamah al-Islāmiyyah, English Islamic Resistance Movement, militant Palestinian Islamic movement in the West Bank and Gaza Strip that is dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the creation of an Islamic state in Palestine. Founded in 1987, Ḥamās opposed the 1993 peace accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
How about encyclopedia.com?

Really? Thanks for the tip, here I was using Google scholar and the Owl at Purdue for all my citations, but I only needed to look at pretty pictures instead of typing up research papers! Amazing.
You only really have to know the letters beforehand. There may be other apps for that, and there are instructions on the internet how Hebrew letters are read and written, so a persistent person may learn them by the old-fashioned method of writing out rows and rows of letters until they remember them well (I learned Greek letters that way when I was in high school). It will be faster if you can first get someone to explain you the "tricks" about reading and writing in an hour or two though.
EDIT: Oh, and once you start, if you can (not available on mobile) also use the associated Memrise course to better remember words, or make your own flashcards or mnemonics in any way you prefer.

> read Der Judenstat soon to see if I really do believe in Zionist ideals
Reading Der Judenstaat to decide whether or not you're a Zionist in 2021 is a little like reading Edmund Burke to decide whether or not you're a conservative in modern day America. The Zionist movement, especially prior to 1948 was fairly diverse with numerous ideologies and major figures who often disagreed with each other. I'm not saying don't read Herzl's pamphlet but just keep in mind that it's only one out of many significant texts in the history of Zionism (you should also check out Herzl's novel Altneuland as well). Personally I'd recommend you check out this book by Arthur Hertzberg as it's a great collection of primary sources and commonly used in college courses. Also The Zionist Ideology by Gideon Shimoni for more of a narrative history of the movements ideological differences.
I would definitely recommend Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn by Daniel Gordis. It is exactly what you're describing, beginning with the birth of Zionism, to the creation of the state of Israel, to its history until present (the book was published last year). It is quite an achievement for a book on this controversial topic to have five stars on Amazon.
Maybe this has been secretly translated to Hebrew and is required reading before people start any service job!

The book you probably want to read for this is Army of Shadows: Palestinian Collaboration with Zionism. I guess if you try and keep it strictly to 1948 this would be correct but that'd really be too narrow and misleading. For example there was a famous mayor of Tulkarm and his sons that did land deals and such with the Zionists throughout the years, and they were hardly the only guys. Even well in the midst of hostilities between the two communities. Just not entirely sure if that continued into '48 and the War of Independence.
Edit: As for more modern times, there's this article from the late 90s but it doesn't provide hard numbers.

As for the Lock I bought which I got the key version, I'm not sure if it's as good as those kryptonite locks, but I can probably exchange it for a kryptonite u-lock. Also, what's the best way to lock up my bike?
Other than that I think this perfectly answers my question, electric or not I'd have to keep it in my place, so it makes more sense to keep the bike that can fold. I got a helmet and mine came with front and back lights.
While there are others, I personally know only one Persian restaurant in Israel called Edna. They make Jewish Persian dishes alongside more standard dishes like pasta, steaks and salads.
There are lots of kosher restaurants, and a lot of non kosher restaurants, especially around Tel Aviv. Even non kosher restaurants are still sensitive to people's preferences, and will attempt to suit your needs - for example if you separate meat and dairy but not too strict about it (i.e. you don't separate dishes or utensils) then you can eat at a non kosher restaurants and just ask which dishes contain meat/dairy, and they'll be happy to help you.

Check the phone's kimovil page (after setting it to Israel) for band support if you're buying a non-global version. Since only B3 is in use for LTE, and that band is also a standard one in China, there's no issue. 5G on the other hand might have limitations, depending on your provider.
More problematic could be if future Chinese versions follow Huawei in not (being able to) include Google services, but so far it's not an issue.
As for software… just install what's missing of Google's default apps and remove/disable OnePlus's annoying replicas.
> The origins of the word do have to do with fascists saboteurs and conspirators. Look it up.
The expression has nothing to do with fascist saboteurs and conspirators. To wit: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=fifth+column
"fifth column 1936, from Gen. Emilio Mola's comment at the siege of Madrid during the Spanish Civil War that he would take the city with his four columns of troops outside it and his "fifth column" (quinta columna) in the city."
> I would answer yes to both questions
You would. Would you be right? No. Here, let me help you yet again:
"clandestine (adjective): characterized by, done in, or executed with secrecy or concealment, especially for purposes of subversion or deception; private or surreptitious: Their clandestine meetings went undiscovered for two years."
So,as you see, as disingenuous as you may consider AIPAC, they are very public in their agenda. My my, they even write Israel in their name! How "clandestine" is that? Not very.
> Because the are afraid to speak freely, that makes them clandestine?
Arab-Israelis have representation in the Knesset (and more than one token representative), in the judicial system, in the armed forces - and lo and behold, are far from being "afraid to speak freely".
Funny enough, I said nothing about them in my comment to you - I merely pointed out that AIPAC is hardly a "fifth column". Your need for a deflection at this time says more about your argument than any kind of "reasoning" you may appear to be offering.
Don't worry, the Arabs (or 'vast number of actual Semites' as you call them) have already got their own term. And yes, the vast majority of Arab are Muslims.

Finally, relevant
My mistake, not a book. There it is: link. It was written for "60Th anniversary of liberation of Dalmatia" by Nikola Anić. It is based on intelligence report made by Ustasha agent stationed in Dubrovnik. In Google translate. In the section "Futile warnings". I know Google translate is far from perfect, but it's the best I can do, besides translating it myself.
The regime was hostile to anyone trying to have an identity (religious, national). Officially it was not hostile to Jews, but in reality, the "fifth point" (google translate) was always a concern in the institutions.
The simple people hated the regime and the Jews which they, of course, blamed for the regime too.
Most people aren't "into apps". Most people want to get something done. That is what the company is premised on. I think it's a stretch to extend that premise to users thought process being "to get something done specifically with an app". Hence, it is unlikely many people will use it regularly as a go to destination.
The company may (or may not, I could't find anything astoundingly useful or even relevant. For example: this or this ) have a fabulous app search but I suspect the end result is a checkbox feature, not an entire product.
Must be targeting a Goole acquisition.
My $.02

In the meantime, Palestine says selling land to an Israeli is punishable by hard labor for life. But you won't hear that. And I bet it doesn't apply to selling to an Israeli-Arab.
There should be no discrimination. But the focus is evidence of discrimination itself, as is the lack of focus on Palestinian practices.
>There was an 18-year period between the 1949 armistice accords and the outbreak of the 1967 war during which such a state could have been formed on those very borders and Israel would have been powerless to stop it from happening.
A. King Hussein was more interested in keeping his throne than the Palestinian cause. See his actions in 1955/56 and 1971.
Here's an article from UPI from April 1960.
>Last week, at a meeting of Arab states foreign ministers in Lebanon, Jordan stood firm against Nasser's pet scheme to set up a new Palestinian state which would deprive Jordan of more than 2,100 square miles of Palestinian territory it [illegally] gained in the Arab war with Israel and Jordan [illegally] formally annexed in 1950. It would deprive Jordan of much of its cultivable land [the best of which are now highly profitable Israeli kibbutzim], and a third to a half of its population [who have now lived under military rule and statelessness for decades].
B. I don't think Israel would have been powerless from stopping it, but the US was much less handy with its veto power at the UN on behalf of Israel before 1967 than after it.
> And in 1889? What were the stats like?
So you are stating that that in 40 years Europe could face 270% population rise of Europeans and massive immigration of non europeans ?
That should be a hell of an immigration wave if in the 1900's and late 1800's 850K of immigrants (Arab , Caucesians (Ottman Ruso war) , Jewish and many more) came in todays population of Europe it would be :
In order for that to happen there should be 1,309 Million ethnic European descendants should immigrate to Europe (I think it would be all North America , part of western asia and still you could not find enough) 1,309 million Muslims would immigrate to Europe . it would be almost all of Africa almost all middle eastern countries need to immigrate for that to happen.

it's affiliated with google (sergey brins wife founded it i think) and it used to provide health information as well, when i did it, but i think the FDA ruled that they're not allowed to provide that information anymore (since people might make medical decisions based on the informatation it's subject to regulation like diagnosis or prescription... kind of bullshit if you ask me)
Easiest way to go to Gaza? Why, glad you asked! Found a "humanitarian NGO", buy a boat, get it in Greece then have CNN push you through the Mediterranean!
Or, you know, go to Egypt and bus in.
Trip Advisor has some great "things to do" and traveler reviews. Also sample itineraries.
Are you in New York State or New York City? Most of these prices seem in line to low for Manhattan,NYC. Perhaps in the outer parts of the boroughs... maybe.
Except for the deodorant, what the heck guys.

I've found this, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. It's only for Tel Aviv which is probably the most expensive city to live in Israel.
Read some Gamal Abdel Nasser quotes, he's more radical than Ahmadinejad IMO, but without the religious drive I suppose. Holocaust denying, calling for wiping the Jews, etc etc - the full package. https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Gamal_Abdel_Nasser
Sadat's quotes are much much better, but I suspect if you find quotes of him before the peace process, they're not very different
50 years ago, Egypt was feared and hated in Israel way more than Iran is today, I assure you. Once there was peace everyone was queuing up to go visit there (hardly anyone does that today though). In Egypt BTW it feels opposite (at least from the media, I don't know any Egyptians) - there is huge hate for Israel among the common people and the intellectuals, only the political and military people act like there's peace. Still better than a state of war if you ask me.
Just few days ago, I read wikileaks cable 07BAGHDAD1696_a. Kurdistan PM, Barzani, warned the US of the situation going on right now in Iraq, that was in 2007.
Much respect.
You can only add certain courses from the app, and they're only language courses; but, if you go to the desktop site there's hundred more, languages, geography, all sorts.
They kinda do themselves a disservice by not opening up other courses via the app. Hebrew ones are here, mostly community generated.
>I recommend you use Duolingo and Pimsleur combined
Thanks, I'll take a look at Pimsleur also.
> Riot police cant handle molotovs
Apparently they manage to handle it everywhere else in the world, they can handle it in Israel too unless Israeli cops are somehow completely incompetent compared to every other world police force. Besides the vast majority of people killed were pretty far away from the fence. You cannot shoot someone for "pre-crime" like in the Minority Report. Sorry, that's illegal and horrifying.
> If they don't use grenades, explain how IDF equipment gets blown up?
Of the huge numbers of people that came out, it's possible a handful of people used grenades on the fence. I don't really give a shit though since the people who were shot and murdered were not throwing grenades; there was a doctor, a paramedic, a baby, a journalist wearing a PRESS jacket, many children, and so on. All unarmed and generally far away from the fence, killed by snipers. Did the 8 month old baby throw grenades? No. Did the paramedic standing away from the fence throw grenades? No.
If my country was shooting huge numbers of innocent people like this I would be horrified. As it stands, unfortunately my country is funding Israel with my tax dollars, so I have a moral responsibility to speak out against this murder being done at least partially in my name.
Sad to see that a people so oppressed and brutalized in recent history have stooped to justifying their own oppression and brutalization of another people.
First of all, ISIS are Muslims and act in the name of Islam. Everything they do they justify with Islamic scripture.
>So far none serious scholar around the world supports them from theological point of view (laws of warfare, conquests etc).
I guess one of your criterions for calling a scholar "serious scholar" is that he doesn't support ISIS theology, so it's just a tautology. There are Islamic Scholars who support ISIS: http://justpaste.it/IS_Scholars. http://www.jihadica.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Bayan-al-ukhuwwa.pdf
What exactly is not Islamic in the laws of warefare, conquests etc. that ISIS follow? And again, is there something that ISIS does which Muhammad didn't do?
Here is an article from Irish Times so not a very pro-Israel source is my understanding: https://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/middle-east/israel-delays-east-jerusalem-evictions-after-weekend-of-violence-1.4559760?mode=amp
