My boyfriend has this! I got him this CeraVe Rough & Bumpy Skin Lotion
You really need help, having this for 3 years. The symptoms you describe together with the photos lead to the diagnose of hives better say chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). Reason for CSU are diverse; allergies, drugs, chronic tooth/throat/bowel infections, heat, cold, water contact, sweating, pressure, ...
In Germany we have specialized consultations for this with standardized course of action finding the reason.
But first of all we would recommend taking antihistamines like ceterizine or loratadine 4 tablets per day (2 morning, 2 evening). When symptoms resolve under this dose you should take it for 2-3 weeks, then you can slowly reduce the dose. You should also have emergency medication (100mg prednisone + 2tbl ceterizine) when having facial angioedema or the feeling of fainting/illness when having immense amount of hives.
You should also make a hives diary is an iPhone app (my hives diary). It seems suitable for this.
here are information about hives
One word for the medication the doctor gave you: this is a usual combo for treating hives/angioedema. The heartburn med is to avoid gastric adverse reaction due to steroid.
Hope I could help you a bit.
Are you using the band that came with your fitbit? I found that it kept my wrist moist and made it irritated. Ew. Found a metal one on Amazon that’s more breathable and haven’t had any issues since. here’s a link
I'm not sure if it will help but I love this lotion and I gave some to my friend who has keratosis pilaris and she said it does wonders for her so it might help you as well. You can get it at Walgreens, WalMart, target, wherever usually. You also should try shaving with the grain if you can, it doesn't help your legs be as smooth unfortunately but it may help with the symptoms.
No pic attached so I'll just guess based on your description. If you we're in a damp area or in tall grass they could be chigger bites. https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/prevent-treat-chigger-bites
I had this exact problem. Had a recurring red painful/flaking rash in the mustache area. I finally got rid of it by making sure I shaved every day with my electric foil shaver, and then I used this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0897CFK16?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-ypp-ro-model_ypp_ro_model_k0_1_6&crid=18FZEU87WLEXK&sprefix=sulfur

After I shave I wet my face and rub that in and let it sit for a couple mins then I rinse it off and rub my face with a wet wash cloth to make sure I got all the hair and wash off my face.
This rash has never returned since I started doing that. After it went away I do it maybe every other day and it still has never returned.
another thing I recently just came across is a barrier cream. basically for diaper rash, but also good as a barrier against sweat, or for those allergic to adhesive. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00ZX5F5FC?psc=1&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp
Stop using the Vichy product. It contains salicylic acid, which can cause irritation on sensitive skin. Switch over to CeraVe Facial Cleanser. Cleanse and moisturize twice a day. At night you can put a thin layer of Vaseline or Aquaphor on your face and neck. If you’re still not any better or getting worse, make a derm appointment.
I used to have similar bumps on on my arms, and parts of my legs. Using Korean exfoliating cloths like these got rid of the problem in a few weeks. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004C8DR1U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5TY33XN7PYV34VDQYJ18?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I tried chemical exfoliants too (body wash and lotion from Paula’s Choice), but neither of those made much difference
It looks kind of like petechiae. Do you lay on your stomach and prop your head on your hand? Apologies for the link to Alamy, but like this? If so, the pressure may have broken some capillaries.
edit: btw I'm not a doctor or an expert of any kind

And any oil will work! But some people like using a warming oil/lotion like this. I'll use anything that give the cups some slide.
https://www.amazon.ca/Cellulite-Slimming-Massaging-Burning-Massage/dp/B07DPQKHVK
Nope! You can find it at a local drug store like cvs or Walgreens in the shampoo dandruf section or on amazon
As for the bra - you can totally wear one but once you do the first treatment make sure you are wearing clean bras after that. Fungal stuff is hard to get rid of 100%. But just wash everything in some hot water until the skin is clear again. Once it’s clear you can be a little more relaxed and just use the nizoral as a body wash every other day or whatever.
KP is caused by the plugging of hair follicles. Salicylic acid helps break up the material that causes the plugging and can improve the appearance. Cerave SA cream is a very good product. Would recommend twice daily application x 3 months for improvement.

Looks like nummular / discoid eczema. There’s a spray on Amazon you can buy that might help. I use it personally on mine and it’s done wonders. That with moisturizers that are formulated for eczema.
This looks a bit like HPV to me (see figure 2 ).
STD panels do not test for HPV and it can remain ‘dormant’ for years before showing lesions. I’d ask for an STD test plus HPV
I would checkout this article on Web MD. Has some good tips. Of course if it’s not a hemorrhoid it may not help
https://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/understanding-hemorrhoids-treatment-medref
It definitely looks like a infection cyst to me, a good friend of mine had one in her armpit as well. There’s many reasons why this can happen, could be caused by an ingrown hair which can become infected which is called folliclultis , your deodorant could have caused a blockage in your sweat glands, etc The best at home remedies to help with the pain and soreness is using warm compresses. Doing warm compresses stimulates blood circulation under the skin and thus helps reduce the pain and swelling and can actually allow the pus to drain. Wear loose fitting clothing, I wouldn’t apply any deodorants rn while it’s inflamed. You can take some OTC meds like Ibuprofen which is an anti inflammatory. You can also try out a Draw Salve which helps with the pain as well as helps to draw out the cyst. However, if these things fail to work and it continues to get bigger and more painful I would seek medical attention. If the pus and bacteria continue to make the area bigger bigger, there’s a chance the infection can enter into your bloodstream and that’s a major issue you do not want.
I personally like the eucerin but this one doesn’t have salicylic acid. Okeeffe’s healthy feet is also a good one. All of the otc products say not to use urea and salicylic acid on broken skin but my derm said they are okay for wound healing in certain concentrations. You’d just have to ask your doc what would be best for y’all.

I developed keratosis pilaris after pregnancy. This mitt was a game changer. I use it once or twice a week in the shower. You don’t need to use soap or fancy scrubs, just water. Then moisturize while your skin is still damp. I like to use pure coconut oil. Honestly, I love this thing so much I have bought one for all of my friends.Exfoliating glove
Definitely looks like it. Also NAD, but I had tinea versicolor as well for a very long time before actually seeing a doctor. The derm I saw recommended this antifungal shampoo. Cleared up in 3 washes. Definitely worth a shot IMHO before you shell out cash for a visit.
This stuff is pretty irritant and I bet it is difficult to focus on getting it completely off your skin while in the fuss of the job. Suggest wearing woven gloves and industrial gloves on top of them like these. The woven gloves are just for keeping your hands from sweating.
Humidiitities?
I think it’s probably related to friction/sweat.
so this anti-friction powder changed my life
I know the name implies that it’s for your butt, but… I found it was great everywhere I was chaffing/sweating. I would even apply it before bed bc I am a sweaty girl despite all of my efforts.
It could be yeast just bc it’s a warm/moist area and the girls are often squished together, basically non stop.
But I would try the powder. If you do think it’s a yeast you can try anti-dandruff shampoo bc dandruff is essential a yeast. But l think getting the area dry as possible for as long as possible will help.
Also make sure you’re extra extra dry post shower/workout before putting your bra on. I know it’s tempting to put the ladies in boob jail as soon as you get out of the shower.

Face: tea tree oil face wash, salicylic acid spot treatment on acne, and salicylic based lotion. Been using this routine for a little over a year. When it popped up about 5 months ago, but wouldn't go away, I started using cerave around the top of eye lid, under the brow.
I also drink plenty of water and live in a humid climate. I don't drink very often. Maybe a beer a week or two, tops. My other eyelid area isn't affected. Thank you for answering!
Maybe this might help you. I’ve been using it on my scars and it’s reducing the raised texture on my skin. The bottle is a little small but I think it’s worth it.
I’ve gotten rid of fungal skin issues with dr bronner’s liquid tea tree hemp soap as body wash. I also got rid of ringworm on my legs (a unwanted present from my cat) using a Chlorhexidine with Ketoconazole pet shampoo (it worked in hair as well, but condition well). Read the reviews and you’ll see many reviews with human use. It’s the same active ingredient as the Nizoral (ketoconazole) with the chlorhexidrine also. It’s also a TON cheaper lol.
I actually think these are punctate porokeratoses. Totally benign. Look at slide 24 on this link.
https://www.slideshare.net/IbrahimMohammed15/porokeratosis
they're pretty easily treatable, it definitely takes time though. there are little kids at drugstores/grocery stores in the pharmacy aisles where it's like a sticker that you put over it and after a few weeks it breaks down enough to fall off/dig out. I am not a dermatologist!! I recommend seeing a doctor!! But, if that is not a choice, the Internet is a good resource. I had one like 6 or 7 years ago and I just used a kit from CVS, but if you wanna learn more about them I recommend using Mayo Clinic as a resource.
Woah. That’s scary because I have had and seen so many moisturizers with retinol. I didn’t realize those things were mostly for more serious skin conditions but it makes sense. I’ve tried using coconut oil as moisturizer but realized it does nothing. Maybe it can help retain moisture but it doesn’t moisturize. Am I right about that? Some essential oils seem okay. Like tea tree oil, rose and rosehip oil, something called Neroli oil, rosemary, chamomile, ylang ylang, lemongrass, jojoba, argan oil, almond oil… even snail gel. …these are all bad? What I mean by manufactured is the massive amounts of mystery chemicals in all of these products. Our skincare shouldn’t be a gamble.
CeraVe is iffy, to me. Hydrogenated oils are VERY unhealthy from what I’ve found. We shouldn’t eat it, we shouldn’t put it on our skin. And the parabens. Aren’t these things to be avoided? Should I add hyaluronic acid to my ritual? I found a serum with it in the ingredients. Here. Would pure Ceramide help? I’m trying to find a good ceramide product, now. Something more concentrated. Like, I find one and it has 200 ingredients. What about Dr Jart? I want to try making a mixture myself since I’m so paranoid about harmful chemicals in our products. I’m not obsessed with natural stuff but I was under the impression it was not only safe, but more efficient. There has to be a better way to get the things we need for our skin to be healthy. Not adding a bunch of garbage to these products. It’s hard to trust anything anymore.
It’s called Verb Ghost Oil. I just now looked at the ingredients and I’m not sure I made the right decision but my friend swears by it. I wonder if any of it is harmful… I get build up fast too. I have bad dandruff and my roots get oily quickly. My husband uses Head and Shoulders, so I usually steal his after washing with Castile. The conditioning aspects help my hair feel less… dry. I got the oil for my ends, mainly, but use it up to my jawline at the highest, so it doesn’t make my roots greasy so soon. Grapeseed is supposed to be great! I got you, girl. Majestic Pure is great. I’ve used a lot of their products. It’s straight forward and they don’t hide anything. I’m thinking about getting a mini fridge to put perishable skin/hair products in. I steer clear of anything with “fragrance” in it. That’s too broad. It’s like, “natural flavors,” in foods. Like WHAT FLAVORS. TELL ME. I MIGHT BE ALLERGIC.
I'd recommend shea butter or petrolatum more than coconut oil - I think they do a significantly better job sealing moisture from the first layer of lotions and creams into your skin.
One of the more affordable combinations to start with might be washing with a salicylic acid bar. Then while still damp applying a heavy AHA body lotion like Eucerin's Intensive Repair. There are many products with different concentrations of acids (Amlactin has several), but it might be nice to start off gently and inexpensively while you find products you like.
There’s silicone bandages/gel you can buy that reduce the appearance of scars. My mother used them after carpal tunnel surgery and they’re pretty much invisible now.
I’m not sure what country you’re in, but here’s a link to some from Amazon Australia - ScarAway Professional Grade Silicone Scar Treatment Sheets, 12 Count https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B001AJ4L1E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JSTNWYP4WMRK0E59BQJ3

That has helped tremendously with mine.
This zinc bar soap cured my seborrheic dermatitis on my face when other stuff didn’t work.
… sounding more and more like bed bugs.
I’d jump on getting an exterminator ASAP; have it split 3 ways by you and your roommates, have no guests over, and wash EVERYTHING or throw it away. In the meantime, there’s this stuff on Amazon than you can use:
You can also use lavender, peppermint, and cinnamon essential oils on your body to soothe the bites and ward off the bed bugs.
You may want to get a mattress cover if you don’t already have one or just get a new mattress once the place is exterminated.
I get this, and it’s horrible when I shave it. Even if I use a brand new razor, extra cleanser, and lots of lubricant to shave, I still get it. I swear by a product called Butt Acne Clearing Lotion. It’s incredibly expensive (at least to me) however it’s the only thing that has ever worked for https://www.amazon.com/Butt-Acne-Clearing-Lotion-fl/dp/B0089MUOOS
Thank you very much!
As for the photos, I took the one the left by reversing the lens on my Canon EOS (thus it functions as a macro lens but with a small depth of focus). The 4 on the right were taken with a cheap usb "microscope" from Amazon. The resolution is quite small but the magnification and focusing capability quite cool for this kind of things (and for <20€ it's really great value).
Hope it helps and thank you once again for telling me about acanthosis!
I prefer to use these for deep crack but make sure they aren’t actively bleeding or they won’t stick. You can keep these on for up to 7 days. I usually only leave them on like 2-3 and the crack is healed.
You can use this in a pinch but it burns like hell for a second and doesn’t last as long.
These are my solutions for cracks only. My feet bleed and crack every day but I still have to get out and do stuff so this makes it easier for me to walk without making the crack or the pain worse.
Best of luck.
If you have some peeling or a rash, these won’t work to fix anything. You’ll have to determine the underlying cause with your doctor and go with their treatment plan.
I purchased a cushion. I found that I kept rolling my hips back and re-aggravated the injury, the improved lumbar support and seat cushion fixed my sitting posture and prevents me from putting undo pressure in that area. If that's how you got yours.
Thanks for the information. Vichy purifying cleansing gel Been using this for like four months.
Nivea men creme Bought this moisturizer two and a half weeks ago.
This is the one I get from amazon. Small tubes so I can carry it in my pocket but it comes in a larger size.
If not Cerave, try Vanicream (or vaniply) they are awesome!

Mine said it immediately and the cream they prescribed I don’t believe worked well. But I bought this on amazon and it was gone after a week. Mine looked identical to yours. It didn’t itch but it itched if I thought about it. I still have it but it’s random small spots. Not completely covered anymore

Ok so I don’t have eczema but I do have ultra dry skin. Like the kind that burns when I sweat on it. I do have two friends who have really, really, REALLY bad eczema and we all tried the same thing. Worked for all three of us.
It does stink a little, but the good thing is you can melt it down on a candle warmer and add some scent to it. Not too much— just enough to offset the smell. I wouldn’t recommend that for your hands in their current state or if you have sensitive skin, but it’s good to know that you can do that if you choose.
Next, buy yourself some cloth or linen gloves to sleep in at night. That will help prevent moisture loss during the night. You can find a lot of them at stores like Ulta and some Walmart’s. I got a pair off amazon.
Last, if you’re needing to wash your hands, the ONLY soap I have found that my ridiculously diva skin can tolerate is African black soap. It doesn’t dry me out whatsoever. I have been using it for months and it has helped me sooooo much.
My friends and I tried these remedies and we all have seen improvements. One of the guys’ patches disappeared completely after about 2 weeks and it has started out scaly and cracked.
I hope this helps! It sure looks painful. I would maybe add some neosporin to the bleeding parts before the bag balm until they heal.
Good advice. I’d recommend a cream to prevent the chafing in the first instance. Something like Calmmé from Amazon. My brother is in construction and this is what he uses. Plus the surf boat rowers use this cream too.
https://www.amazon.com/Calmmé-Anti-Chafe-Cream/dp/B07F82SKCZ
You really only need an antibiotic cream if there is an infection. But it can’t prevent the skin tearing in the first instance.
Hey! Not a dermatologist, but I struggled with severe acne and had major scars. My skin is extremely sensitive so I picked up eve handen's Anti-aging Serum Set after some fantastic reviews of several friends. It come with three bottles.
Vitamin C+E : helps collagen production and helps with wrinkles fine lines and brightens complexion. I mix this with my daily moisturizer in the morning.
Hyaluronic Acid: helps remove dead skin so the new skin in better moisturized. I mix a few drops of this with my moisturizer ever other night.
Retinol: which stimulate cell growth which helps with scars, and discoloration. I mix this into my moisturizer every night!!! Any woman(men to) over 23 can use this tho help their skin stay healthy!!
In my experience there is no magic cream but a daily regiment of washing, moisturizing, and serums such as these have definitely helped me with acne scarring. Hope this helps and best of luck!!
Could be due to demodex mites. This product has helped a lot of people with the same issue.
Thank you this seems to be the closest diagnosis looking at the pictures. I don't think I have eczema but I just read lichenfied skin is treated as such, so would this help with the healing process? https://www.amazon.com/Aveeno-Moisturizing-Sensitive-Steroid-Free-Fragrance-Free/dp/B003O7IBZC
Hey, check out r/skincareaddiction for a lot of good info on problems like this! The sub can be overwhelming at first though, so for now I’d pull back on any abrasive soaps. A face wash product you’ll see recommended a lot is cerave face wash. A bit of a cult-like following over there, but it is a good, basic product that’s available at a lot of stores.
For the problem you’re having now, I’d use a hydrocolloid bandage. Definitely don’t use toothpaste! It’s not good for your skin at all.
Hydrocolloid bandages are available at most drugstores, sometimes they’re labeled as blister bandaids. They feel sort of rubbery, they’re not fabric/cotton at all like normal bandaids. Just wash the area, and apply the bandage. I like to change them about every 12 hours (when I wake up and before I go to sleep). If it’s in the middle of your face or something and you don’t want to wear it out in public, just wear it whenever you’re home or while you’re sleeping.
Here’s the brand I use: MEDca Acne Pimple Master Patch Absorbing Cover 24 Count Three Sizes 10 Sheets https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06WV7J3T8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_zfCDBb51H5MX9
Good luck!
I used to have horribly chapped lips, and now my lips are what gets me compliments the most, so maybe I can chime in here. The best lip balm I have ever used (and swear by) is by Organic 101. Most lip balms have 5-7 ingredients and usually focus on just getting rid of the symptoms for a little while, but Organic 101's has 15 USDA certified active ingredients and heals lips fast; its actually uncanny. I cannot recommend them enough.
.
They offer a 30 day money back guarantee on their products, even on their lip balms. I thought that was funny at first, but damn if they are that hardcore about a lip balm then they probably know what they are doing and convinced me to buy... glad i did. Anyways.. if interested check them out: https://www.amazon.com/Healthier-ORGANIC-101-Eucalyptus-Certified/dp/B076WGV2ZH/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1512344222&sr=8-4&keywords=natural+lip+balm
Dress shoes?
Okay I really like these socks or these.
or
Drymax is over the calf but has a toe seam which I hate and trimmed with scissors which makes it better
Darn tough is seamless but only mid calf so they slide down my calves a bit which is a little annoying.
Both keep my feet dry for hours a day and I personally don't feel like I have to wash them unless I wore them 4-5 days straight and don't smell.
I also have real leather shoes which absorb moisture better and can breath a little more than fake leather.
Cotton or practically any other socks just have my feet swimming in moisture. Especially in dress shoes.

I like this product. The purpose of the BP is to keep your skin a bacterial wasteland. It helps with the sheding of comedones as well but the tret at night will be most effective for that.
Ah the plot thickens!
Knowing you have a history of eczema definitely makes me lean towards eczema around the eyes. The dry cold air can definitely be causing this. You have a very valid point though, this doesn't look like usual eczema. To that I say that the skin around the eyes is very different from most of the skin around your body so presentation is generally different.
If possible, I'd like you to moisturize using vaseline and I want you to apply it in a specific way. Shower with warm water (enough to get the bathroom steamy but not boiling hot). When you dry your face, pat your face dry and while there's a thin layer of water still on the face, I want you to apply the vaseline. Leave that on overnight.
Preferred vaseline: https://www.amazon.com/Vaseline-Petroleum-Jelly-Original-Pack/dp/B001ECQ4L2
People don't like it because it's greasy but I tell you it works. If you want the vaseline lotion, get the one with the absolute least number of ingredients.
Other things that can help: humidifier in the bedroom, warm air, and diligent moisturization.
Of course I advise to see a doctor face to face and my advice is simply just that of someone online.
Cheers, Dr. K
Apple Cider Vinegar soaked bandages would probably help. What I've used in the past was tea tree oil and duct tape. It worked for me and the wart didn't come back, even when freezing it off at the dermatologist (2x!) hadn't solved it before. Just my experience though.. Good luck!
Tea tree oil = antifungal, antimicrobial, antibiotic and you can usually find it at the pharmacy or the grocery store these days.
I was having this issue too about a month ago! I was putting chapstick on like crazy and it wasn't helping. I think it is because I drool at night, which I read can be a cause (which if you started using the invisilign it would make sense that it might be trapping bacteria in your mouth and drool). It does look like angular cheilitis, but I'm not a doctor.
I'd try some tea tree oil mixed with some vitamin E oil. Tea tree oil is a natural antifungal, antibacterial, and antimicrobial, and you don't need to use a lot (it's potent!) so it is an effective an inexpensive treatment. You can usually find tea tree oil at the pharmacy or the grocery store, but if not you can get it online or at health food type stores. The vitamin E oil they should have at the pharmacy or grocery store as well, but if you have any vitamin E capsules you can crack one open and apply it.
I also read that this problem can occur when your immune system is weakened, which can happen when you're stressed or haven't been eating enough nutritional foods. It wouldn't hurt to add a multivitamin and some vitamin C. I know when I started taking vitamins, the corners of my mouth cleared up in a couple weeks.
Assuming you are in the US, they sell wart removal kits like this in the medicine/pharmacy area of most supermarket stores like Public/Kroger/Walmart/target/etc. Dr. scholls makes a plantar wart remover which should also be sold in the same area.
A cursory glance at Amazon shows you can buy medical freezing spray but I don't know if it would be best for this situation. Looked like a large output and would potentially freeze larger areas than you would want; however, there were many options and I just looked at one.
I really like keracare's itchy scalp/dandruff conditioner. I swear by this stuff. Has the zinc in it and I noticed a HUGE diff when I used it on my scalp and face. You can also try a bar soap with zinc. Below are what I used.

Chlorine does have an effect on your body if you're allergic to it, but just if you're exposed for longer periods. A great way of knowing if it's your case is noticing if your skin gets red or irritated after you spend a whole day inside a swimming pool. Mine does, and used to be a lot worse when I was a kid. What I use nowadays to get around it is this http://www.amazon.com/Culligan-WSH-C125-Wall-Mount-Capacity-Showerhead/dp/B0006VVN1S/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1454474323&sr=8-5&keywords=amazon+shower+head Not only it makes your skin look like a superstar but it's great for your hair. You don't even need expensive shampoo to go with it.
My dermatologist never let me use any lotions other than Cetaphyl or La Roche Posay and never ever let me use oils to take of make up unless it is waterproof, around the eyes, then I use Bioderma, which is mild. Other than that, I wash my face with Vichy liquid soap, the green one.
Where I used to live before (a big city in a third world country) was very dry and polluted, and that definitely affects your skin directly. It's impressive!
Esthetician here. It looks like acne. Buy a good spot treatment (Here is one I recommend http://www.amazon.com/Mario-Badescu-Drying-Lotion-fl/dp/B0017SWIU4) this will help with the really bad cystic spots. Use a foaming cleanser followed with a light moisturizer containing salicylic acid.
Try scrubbing a little bit, with something like a salux cloth and a BPO wash like panoxyl. Hope this helps!
I have seborrheic dermatitis and have the same issue. I get it on my face as well. I just got this stuff and it works great on my face... like so good I'm pissed I never tried it before. It got rid of id of flare ups in 2 days that would normally take a week or two to stop.
I just tried it on my scalp yesterday so check back with me in a few days and I'll let you know if it works. Be careful though as it may discolor hair so spot test it.
I don't know if this will help you but always worth a try. I've found two Tea tree (natural anti fungal) shampoos that work well for me in soothing and calming flare ups and with flakes and would switch between them.
The one I think I like the best is OGX's Hydrating Tea tree Mint shampoo. Really the only reason I liked it more is because it smells good and left my long hair feeling better than the other. The other is Jason Normalizing Tea tree shampoo.
I typically use the OGX for my day to day (purely because it makes my hair look nicer) and the Jason maybe once or twice a month depending on the flare up. There are some people out there who swear that chemical heavy shampoos are the reason the dermatitis happens, I can't vouch for that scientifically, but I find my head is a lot happier with "organic" products.
