Umm.. Okay idiot, let's unpack this. Companies have the right to boot anyone off of their platform. This sassy science webcomic says so. Hold on, lemme get this call.
Hello?
They what?
They refused to bake the cake?

> I feel like I've walked into the town bar that I first started drinking at years ago... And nobody goes there anymore, except alcoholics, and weirdos who smell the bar stools when you get up.

Too real, a lot of corners of the internet feel different now.
I'm infatuated with that face. I've stared at it for over an hour now. It makes we want to travel to America and build further upon the anthropology work done by Josef Mengele.

>People will tell me again to not mix politics with software/business. Doing so surely impacts the popularity of Notepad++: talking about politics is exactly what software and commercial companies generally try to avoid. The problem is, if we don’t deal with politics, politics will deal with us. We can choose to not act when people are being oppressed, but when it’s our turn to be oppressed, it will be too late and there will be no one for us. You don’t need to be Uyghur or a Muslim to act, you need only to be a human and have empathy for our fellow humans.
stunning and brave
Check out Status - it’s an ethereum-based implementation of what you’re thinking of but using the Whisper protocol + dApp stuff on Eth. Users generate a wallet and can create and subscribe to different “feeds” or topics which are just public keys. This gives the benefit of allowing private p2p messages because any wallet public key can be a feed/topic, as well as large groups and boards posting to an arbitrary tag.
Fully anonymous + unlimited account creation and the Whisper protocol handles the details of ensuring posting/messaging is anonymous and encrypted. There’s been a lot of work on Ethereum and underlying protocols that can make a real Reddit replacement + everything is open source.
DM me or something if you wanna talk more or collaborate, I’m also a dev.
