It's been noticed before, yes!
There's actually a few songs on that album that are references to other songs, Silent Milita and You Spin Me Round for example.
you're very welcome. I'm going to try to keep ripping/recording these each week, although no promises.
For anyone interested, here is how to record/rip these streams...
Option 1) Download stream directly (without comments) During Periscope's 24-hour replay period you can use http://downloadperiscopevideos.com/ cin many instances to rip the stream in a .ts format. Use https://convertio.co/ts-mp4/ to convert to .mp4 for much smoother playback with greater compatibility with little/no quality loss
Option 2) Screen recording (less quality, with comments) There are many apps which allow screen recording for android. The ones I have used dont allow you to record audio output directly (only recording from the phone/tablets microphone which sounds shitty) so make sure you have the means of recording the audio output directly then dubbing this to the video. I would advise using a phone/tablet with a decent resolution so the comments dont take up too much screen estate and recording at your phone/tablets native resolution.
I have no idea why it was there, if it is a scam or a mistake, or if I was just damn lucky.
One copy was available and I instantly bought it. Amazon says it'll arrive on Tuesday...
€: Now it's back to the only other available version for 500 bucks.
The amazon link officially says B/2 region but four different verified purchasers say it works fine on US players if you read the reviews.

I personally would take the risk of being out the $27.
Amazon Canada now has it listed for pre order for us canucks...

They delivered Eras Part 1 on release day, and my Ocean Machine Live artbook has shipped and scheduled to arrive tomorrow
Limited copy, long time ago. That's the main fact. Althoug few will sell their precious boxe like this one. I was lucky to get a near mint sealed copy via eBay for around $100. But it's still very very hard to get a copy. Especially the one with the 7" vinyl.
Edit: Which i obviously bought/got with accoriding to the identifiers/codes). Minus the 7".

To scrape the lyrics, I just used a program called Helium Scraper: http://www.heliumscraper.com
It's certainly not amazing, but it's quicker and easier than a package like scrapy (http://scrapy.org/) for something like this.
Otherwise, the text process was done with a bunch of little tools and doodads that I've programmed myself over the past few years, mostly in .NET, but some of it in Python as well.
The graphs themselves were all done in Excel, except for the really bad looking "Theme" graphs, which were done in a very "quick n' dirty" fashion in R. I basically hit the point of the night where I wasn't about to hand-craft that many graphs anymore :)
The description of the video is now wrong. This version was included in the recent boxset. It's on the 'Demos & Rarities' album. https://www.discogs.com/Strapping-Young-Lad-The-Complete-Works/release/4803575
Also the quality is a lot better on the version I have.
Damnit I actually found the casettes to this (huge Hummer fan here). No audio unfortunately, it was an Amazon link. The original 2 hour doc that has the speech about dying in it (a read from the Tibetan Book Of Death) is also on Youtube. Was able to pinpoint the exact pieces with some other redditor after it came up in a comment section worshipping The Hummer. Just dug through my comments but can't seem to find it back.. I'll try again tomorrow.
–edit– The tapes with the speech from Cosmic Surf: https://www.amazon.com/Meditation-Edgar-Cayce-Learn-At-Home-Course/dp/B000W0TSSS
I just found out from this that Devy did the soundtrack to a kids TV programme.
I'm listening to it now, it's great.
It's on BBC iPlayer for anyone that wants to watch/listen: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000tpcm/colours-series-1-1-red
Funny... I have a musical project named Transcendence and I draw a lot of inspiration from the man himself... The below link is an aggregate of my collection under a different moniker I wrote these songs years ago...

Existential is a big one.
Need a guitar hero controller, and a PC download Clone Hero Then you can go Here to get songs. and drop them in the songs folder where clone hero is installed
Googling "youtube to mp3 android" gives me this as first result, could do the trick. If it doesn't work for you, I can download the MP3 and upload it somewhere...
Atleast Amazon has them in stock. It's only 42€ in amazon.de and has free shipping to most EU countries. Bought it last week and it arrived a couple of days ago.
Very good question! I purchased it on Amazon, but I just went to look for it and couldn't find it by searching. Very weird.
Here is the link that I pulled from my order history:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07C5NSRVV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looks like it may not be available though, I'm not sure.
Still available as ebook on Amazon
Not as cool as the real thing but that was always gonna be a limited print.
This is the email from Amazon:

Retinal Circus is in stock on Amazon.ca for less than $20. I'm just gonna stick with a rip of this one though because it's only stereo, not 5.1. If it was 5.1, I'd be all over that.
I just noticed that amazon.ca now has both Eras and Ocean Machine live for pre-order...
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07BN6W5LQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07C5S33HW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
$140 CAN for Eras seems really good since there will be no foreign currency conversion or duty/brokerage fees to worry about. My only concern is if amazon also has trouble getting stock. Usually they are good with getting stock on most pre-orders, but there have been a couple of releases in the past they have cancelled after the release date.
I think the link for Ocean Machine live is for the media edition based on the ASIN number (B07C5S33HW). When I google that ASIN, other links come up showing that it's the artbook edition. I think I may take a change and prey that amazon comes through!
Great piece, would love to hear the other samples as well. For example the Lynn Sparrow one from the Edgar Case videocassette 'Meditation Made Easy'
The records liner notes:
> This album is best listened to when you have time and silence. Samples of a Reading by Leonard Cohen from the National Film Board videocassette, The Tibetan Book Of The Dead, Part 2: The Great Liberation, Jodie Foster from the movie 'Contact', Lynn Sparrow from the Edgar Case videocassette 'Meditation Made Easy' and Ravi Shankar
They got back to me regarding Kindle, and they said that they submitted to Amazon too, so Kindle owners can easily get on board and have stuff like cloud access. Yay!
EDIT: It's listed but doesn't seem to be available for purchase just yet.
This is probably your best bet.
New from $12+ through other vendors on Amazon, in a set with four other early albums of his. So, not the original pressing or its more well-known reissue, but I'd expect that it's identical in content.
(EDIT: As a note, Amazon's product description of this being 1 disc appears to be incorrect... other websites list it as having the 5 that it logically would.)
